This is with reference to a payment of 27, 504/-inr made to max life insurance on 24july, 2017. I later came to know that this was a fraud done to me. Below is the sequence of events which happened on 24 july, 2017 and how payment was made.

I got a call from deepak kumar contact number [protected] on 24, july 2017. He said that he was talking from max life insurance. As my life insurance policy, policy number[protected] premium was due on 24 july 2017, he said that he wanted to assist me in making payment. I said that my policy premium was always auto debited from my axis bank account, account number [protected], so this time also it will be auto debited as ecs. He said that as my agent has quit her job, so he can give me discount of the some amount which would otherwise go to the company max life insurance as commission.

My policy premium is rs.30, 647.87/- and he offered me to make payment of rs.27, 504/-.

I agreed to make payment. He shared bank details where i should transfer money. Below are the details :

I initiated the payment of rs. 27, 504/- through neft to above bank account from my axis bank account but transaction failed. Reference number was neft/mb/axmb[protected]/max life 273844.

I didn't know the reason for failure. Deepak kumar called me again to confirm if payment was made or not. I told him that i had initiated the payment but it failed.

He then told me that the account which he had shared with me have expired. So he would give me another account number where i could initiate the payment.

I asked him how could trust you. He said that the beneficiary name contained my policy number, hence i could trust him.

He then shared to me another account number. Below are the details :

I again initiated the payment of rs. 27, 504/- through imps but this time from my icici bank account. Imps ref no[protected]. The transfer was successful this time.

Deepak kumar called me again to confirm that payment was made or not. I said that payment was made.

I then told that i have one more policy with max life insurance, policy number[protected]. Why has he not asked me about that policy?

He said that he will check my policy details and then he will make a call again to me. He then called me again. Time was around 5pm. He said that i can make payment for second policy also.

I said that i first need the receipt of my first policy[protected] premium payment. He said that it would take 3 working days to initiate the receipt. I said that i will not make payment of my second policy till he provide me receipt of my already made payment. He said that he will try to provide me receipt as soon as possible.

I got receipt on 26 july, 2017 from max life insurance.

I had got call from his boss also from a landline number. He told me that deepak kumar had made some mistake in the system and my second policy status is also changed to paid. So now i will have to make payment for second policy. I said that i will not make payment. He then said that i should not tell anybody that i have not made payment for second policy. He said that status if both my policies was changed to paid.

On 28 july, 2017, i got mail containing payment receipt for both of my policies from "policy update".

But i was getting reminder mails and messages to have sufficient amount in my bank account, so that ecs can be made for two policies. My account did not have sufficient balance for the auto-debit ecs and hence ecs had bounced. I got notification for the same.

On august 28, 2017, my bank account axis [protected] was auto debited by rs 62, 238.47/- (Rs 30, 674.87/- + rs 31, 573.60/-) for my two policies with max life insurance.

I then called deepak kumar [protected] but the number was switched off.

I had raised complaint with max life insurance mail id service. [protected]@maxlifeinsurance.com on 31 august, 2017 and asked for explanation about why the amount was auto debited although payment was already made and receipts were also sent by them. They replied that no payment was made to their account.

Please help me to find these people and investigate on this fraud which is done with me.

They are offering me an investment plan from Max India with guaranteed returns. Attached the image shared by them on Whatsapp for the investment plan.

    I m max life insurance policy holder. My policy no[protected]. I paid premium rs 29642 through sbi debit card on 10 the sep, 17. Premium receipt was generated. But on 12 the sep, 17 the same amount was debit from axis bank ecs mode. Then i known i paid double amount for the premium. So i request you to please back my amount and deposit into axis bank account as early as possible. My account no.[protected]. I wish to solve my complaint 2 or 3 days thanking you sir

    Respected sir I m Satya srinivasa rao putrevu.i am policy holder of max life insurance.i send more mails to you for my double payment.almost one month has gone.but no reply from you.i submitted all details of me for concerning double payment.why it will deleyed to back my amount.whom can I report to this issue.i send NEFT form, bank statement policy primium copy, consent letter to you one week back.what can I do for back my premium amount

      Sir/mam, i hold a policy in your pimpri chinchwad branch, was there to pay premium but was not able too because of your staff, 1:-mr. Shiva subramanium ([protected])

      Returns not upto mark, then too wanna pay premium on time, but was not able too. Very bad experiences, last year & this year too.

      Again same situation, worst experience, will not go for any new policies. I was assured update for my complain (on 15. 09.2017) a follow up in 24-48 hours, nothing at all, premiums important & the person paying premium is least one. ICICI prudential much better than max.

        My application no. Is[protected]. I have cancelled a term policy due to improper response of max team on 22 aug 2017. Then i received a mail to provide bank details and a cancelled cheque in which i want refund. A neft form also send by them. I sent all these on 30 aug 2017. When i took follow up their representative told me it will take 10 to 12 days for refund. I waited for 14 days. Yesterday i called customer care, but a lady representative was fooling me, then i got call from delhi. A male representative told me that company will give me refund in this credit card cycle only. I asked him what about that neft form and details sent by me. He has no satisfactory answer. A second call i received by same person after some time, now he surprised me. He said max will refund my money in next month. It means i have to wait 1 more month. It's a fraud company. I m harrased very much and going to file a fir against max life insurance company.

          I got a call from [protected] and telling i am calling from maxlife insurance and its varification call for your maxlife insurance. Your maxlife insurance representative person claimed his commission 60k, if he is not providing proper services then then this amount directly transfer in your account.

              I had made a neft transaction yesterday for my policy no[protected]

              I get a call from a number - [protected] (Person name: rohit sharma) saying that he is calling from max life insurance customer care and first provide all my information related to the above policy so i do not think that it can be a fraud call (As he give each and evry information that i attached to my policy). Then he said due to gst applied your premium ecs service is withdrawn from this year, so you have to pay it through neft. Also said that you have to pay only the premium value from this year, i. E a sum of 52110.00 only because we give discount the agent commission to our customer from this year. Then he provide all details via phone call and tell me the all procedure that how to pay and inform me that i will get a soft copy of payment receipt within 24 hrs after confirmation of the payment and a hard copy within 7 days of payment in my registered communication address.

              Here are the details of bank account:

              Branch - mettupalayam

              So i transfer the amount 52110.00 to the above account using neft.

              Transaction details: neft/mb/axmb[protected]/max life[protected]

              Now after 24 hrs i didnot receive any mail, so contacting them and they initially not picked and when picked told me to wait for some time, you will get it soon.

              When i check here the complaint list, i am now sure about the fraud made with me with the name of max life and for sure they are somehow related with max company. So i request to max life insurance co. Ltd to take proper action on this and help me also. I feel now helpless.

              I attached my bank statement also here

                Hi team,

                I am not able to update email id due to otp which is not being sent to my registered mobile number using website https://m.maxlifeinsurance.com.

                I have used google chrome and also internet explorer but it didn't work out in both the browsers.

                This is pathetic to visit maxife branch in order to update these types of small details like email id, phone number etc.

                Please recheck with your internal it team on why system is unable to send otp which helps to raise service request for maxlife.

                Please resolve this issue on an urgent basis.

                  I am having a policies with max life policies no[protected] and was called upon by rajeev mobile no. - [protected] on 19th august 2017 as max life insurance advisor. He was having all the details related my policy which are actually supposed to be confidential.

                  He told me that there was a 10% agent code which was applied on my premium and can be given as discount if payed directly to max life.

                  Since he mention all the policy details and due date august 26 2017. I believed and payed amount of 54, 978 using neft transfer. Since it is saturday he mentioned receipt will be sent on monday.

                  Current account

                  Due to office work i went out of country for couple of weeks and i was checking mail for policy payment receipt. After returning i made call to call center their it was repeating message saying max life insurance doesn't have other neft only in hsbc. Customer care executive confirmed that they didn't receive any payment on my policy.

                  I request you to help me out to get my refund back and taking strict action against customer data leak.

                    Last year i had gone to max life office panjim goa to surrender my policy no[protected] but operation person siddesh mandrekar told me i will get only 1 premium i paid not both and that too after completion of 3 year's of policy. So even if i pay 3 premium i will get 1 premium back. Also he told me better not to pay 3rd as i m losing 1 more premium for nothing.

                    Now 3 years is completing so i have called max office but now he is telling me i have not told u this and you can complain i[censored] want.

                    Feeling cheated!! I was waiting to complete 3 years as at least i will get my 1st premium back.

                    I will also write this to consumer complaint court.

                        In sheer frustration and distrust i surrender my policy and received rs.55, 862/- after paying premium of rs. 1, 02, 062.95 for four years. The policy which i wanted to surrender a year before, an official from regional office of max india insurance, m. G. Road, gurgaon, fallaciously persuaded me to continue the policy for one more year so that i may not bear the loss. But a year later, after paying another 24, 000/- i was shocked to learn that my loss has actually increased and i have been cheated by max india insurance co.

                        1. On my first complaint dt. 10/08/2017, i was suggested to visit the nearest max life branch to resolve the issue. On 14/08/2017 i visited regional office of max india insurance at 326, m. G. Rd, dlf phase ii, gurgoan, haryana 122002 and met sr. D. O. Mr. Abhishek mishra. He apologised and show his disability to do anything about my problem he rather asked me to join team of max life insurance co and narrated on how to earn money.

                        2.in desperation i again put a complaint on 15th aug. 2017. For which a ticket no #18395431 was issued and i was informed that mr. Yuvraj bali from customer care has been assigned to look into my case and will contact me shortly. But i was not contacted at all after that. Except a mail on 27/08/2017 which i received from mr. Yuvraj bali only to mention that the surrender value of my policy will be made on 28 aug. 2017 (Which actually has already been made on 21/8/2017 as mentioned above). It is again an uncoordinated and pathetic attitude of the staff.

                        My complain is against misinforming and misguiding tactics of max india insurance co. And i still awaiting an update on my previous complaints for which the above ticket no. Was issued. Or is it just another gimmick to make fool the customers and cheat their hard earned money?

                        The casual and unprofessional approach of Max Life Insurance against my complaint “regarding giving me the wrong information on surrender value of my Policy No.[protected]” left me with no choice but to register other complains. Till now, two different complain reference Nos. and two customer service Representatives i.e.[protected]Mr. Yuvraj Bali) dt. 18 Aug.2017 and[protected]Mr. Madhup Bajpai) dt. 4 Sep. 2017 have been assigned for my complaint. But apart from auto generated confirmation mails I have not been contacted by any of the above representatives and on the said issue there is no progress till date.

                        Dear all,
                        I received a mail from Max India Insurance by Mr Madhup Bajpai mentioning that the surrender value I have been paid is correct. Here, I would like to remind again that my complaint is not just the surrender value but against the official of Max India Insurance Office at 326, M.G. Rd, DLF Phase II, Gurgoan, Haryana. As on completion three years of policy in July 2016, due to an emergency, I decided to surrender my Policy and approached the above office. The official advised me to continue my policy for one more year to get its financial appreciation and bonus. By believing his words I some-how continue my policy for one more year by paying another Rs. 24000/-. Eventually, in June 2017, I surrendered my policy only to find that there is no such benefits as described.

                        Had I been advised rightly, I could have saved Rs. 24000/- by surrendering my policy in 2016 itself. As we are tend to believe the words of the officials who represents the Co. and so I believed that I have been cheated. And to bring the matter into notice I registered my complaint.

                        After that, I was advised to visit the nearest Max India Insurance Office. I visited the above office and narrated my grievance to couple of officials and further referred to Sr. D.O.
                        Who apologized and show his inability to take any decision in this case( ref. my 2nd complaint dt.15/8/2017).

                        After visiting Max India Office, at Gurgaon a couple of times and narrating the same problem to various officials on telephonically also, now I have been told that the refund value correct. It is a sad realty that despite of writings and verbally describing my grievance (telephonically and in-person) my problem has neither been addressed nor understood. Leave alone the monitory loss I suffered by paying extra premium for one extra year it has also cost me time and mental agony. All this has made me more resolved to bring the matter in open so that others may not fall in their trap.

                            The policy holder mr. Lakshmanan died on 02/05/2016 in an accident and on receipt of fir copy during march 2017, i bremkumar the nominee of the policy holder preferred a cliam i have also submitted all the documents sought for from your firm have been duly submitted. Even after submission of all the required documents four months have since been elapsed but no information or communication has been initiated by your firm till now. Our enquiries through local branch/mail/toll free number have not been evoked any response.

                            Please expedite the process and coomunicate me and arrange to pay the cliam at the earliest.

                            If i dont recieve any further information by 15th sep 2017 i will be forced to take legal action/insurance ombudusman.

                                The details of our complaint is as follows:

                                We took a policy from max life insurance (Policy number[protected], which was issued on january 10, 2012. Two premiums each of (Approx.) 51, 000/- were paid yearly, but due to some sort of sudden financial crisis we were unable to pay the rest premiums. Now if we do not pay the rest premiums and the amount due (Which is pretty good amount for us to pay at this point of time) our policy would be terminated and we won't get the amount which is already paid by us as premiums.

                                The reply from max life insurance to our complaint was that we did sign a bond that if we were not satisfied by the clauses of the policy we could have terminated it within 15 days of issuing it. But that time we didn't have any objections as things were going pretty good, but now as i said earlier, we are going through some critical period, we are unable to continue the policy and demanding for the refund.

                                The request from our side is that kindly help us getting back the money paid by us as we can't bear the loss of such big amount.

Is se related maine max life insurance customer care help line me bar bar call kar chuka hu. Lekin is se related koi bhi jankari max life insurance company ki taraf nahi di ja rhi hain aur na hi insurance issue kiya ja rha hain.

                                      I am writing this mail with sheer frustration and disappointment about the policy which i taken.
                                      Today i did a call to call centre for some queries and enquired about loan on policy after discussing i was completely shocked. If you can check the policy details, i have taken this policy[protected]from axis bank in 2013 and i have been paying the premium amount of rs 40, 000 around every year.
                                      When i had a discussion while taking the policy the mentioned details and the details mentioned by customer care is completely different,
                                      Today after all 4 payments nearly i have paid till now rs 1, 50, 000, when i have asked for a loan they said i am eligible only for rs 70000 and even if is surender i am going to get only 70000.
                                      This is a completely dissatisfied, when i was taking the policy the agent from bank said after paying all 6 installments, i can take a loan of 200000 rupees and said may things that max life will give loan and when you want money you can get the money back after some charges deducted and misguided me. Now when i had a discussion with customer care, i got to know that i can only get rs 70000 as a loan and even if i surrender also i will get only rs 70000.
                                      I am totally frustrating and dissatisfied and disappointed.. I am need of
                                      Money and would like to go for a loan and not happy with the money what i will get. Not even getting more than a rs lakh even after paying around rs 1, 60, 000 as a premiums..
                                      While taking the policy the agents misguided me. I don't know what to say about this as a cheating or fraud.. Please check and do the needful.. Hoping for the solution.

                                      I have called to the customer care for the status on ticket no 18399072 and they have conveyed there is no information on the ticket and nothing has written in resolution notes .I was shocked as it's been10 days till now complaint logged and nothing progressed .

                                      I have a question, if you are going through the terms and conditions then I can see it was written in that when I want to opt for the loan, I can get the 90% of the amount paid and when I have enquired that now it is 50% only and they have conveyed that now it has been changed to 50% without bringing my notice .How it can be changed to 50% when it was written in the papers as a 90%.

                                      And one more clarification for your agents who will be working as a maxlife insurance agents try to provide a proper training, and knowledge on the products
                                      As you are aware/no the agents will be concentrating on deviating the mind of customer.Do you think the agents are very honest and genuine while approaching for policies, do they have adequate knowledge on the products they want theirs targets to be reached for that they will be telling lot of things to customer .
                                      Firstly why axis bank is asking their customers to do a policy, initially I went to open a bank locker for that in return they have asked me to open a policy, so they can give me a locker .if I open a policy, Is this the correct thing the Bank is doing .why they are promoting this kind of things with customers.
                                      I agree all your mail when/if I went to maxlife insurance office and did my policy volunteered, it means that it was taken by me with my complete attention.
                                      When bank is doing such kind if things and no we are landing in this type of situations
                                      Try to investigate from customer perspective .
                                      You can even have a discussion with Bank/agent and come back to me.

                                      And if you see the consumer complaints board most of the queries related to maxlife was policy made in bank only not in a maxlife office .they are asking the customers to do a policy ..

                                      Please investigate and let me know the outcome.
                                      Anyway i will write to the people which you have mentioned in the mail.
