I availed no -broker shifting(packaers and movers) service on Nov 3, to transfer my home stuffs from Chennai to Trivandrum. As per no broker representative's suggestion, I took insurance for a value of 1 Lac and paid Rs.3000 as premium on the same day. I was told that the goods will be transferred in a closed container with utmost safety and if in case anything is missing/damaged in transit, there would be "no question asked" claim up to Rs. 90000.
On 9th of November goods got delivered in an open vehicle drenched in water(due to rain) and one of the carton was missing, which consist of my Rs.16000 worth Purifier, HDMI cables and some clothes(Total value estimated Rs. 20000).
After lot of phone calls and escalation mails to cshead.shifting, I got missing certificate from vendors who transported my goods. When I submitted that to insurance IFFCO, they are saying sum insured is Rs. 10000 not one lac and I will got get even single penny for my missing goods.
Again I escalated this to cshead.shifting and asked for an update. who will pay Rs.3000 premium for Rs.10000 sum insured ? Really some cheating has been happened here. Its been 6 days I asked for update for the sum insured matter and no response from no broker side.
I need my lost goods or equivalent amount of money .
Is this what I should expect from an MNC ?
The people so called ( co-ordinator, manager ) who was in contact with me till the goods delivery date, suddenly starts not responding not calling back after I said my box is missing. I struggled and escalated finally to get a missing letter.
I really felt like cheated. I had many quotes from local vendors with very less money than no-brokers, still I chose you because I had trust in you.
I need my problem to be resolved.
Note: No photos of missing box or purifier is there as I was not informed to take photos before shifting. They asked to note down the box number and value of box, That alone I have done and submitted the same to insurance people also.
I never expected such an irresponsible behavior from them and in utter disappointment.
