I bought a Xiaomi POCO F1 hand-set on 25th Sept, 2018 which is under MI Protect insurance scheme through OneAssist. The insurance is valid from the 4th Oct, 2018 till 3rd Oct, 2019. Recently (on 5th August, 2019), the hand set got damaged accidentally (screen crushed as the phone came under the car's Tyre) for which I raised a claim with Claim No: 4524354 dated 5th Aug, 2019. After lots of persuasion 'OneAssist' company is not honoring the repair claim giving lame excuses relating to one of my previous claim on 2nd July, 2019 (Claim no: 4373491) which I have not repaired being a minor scratch on my screen and my other commitments. They ask for a 'Job Sheet' which I cannot produce as the phone was not repaired then due to minor scratch. On talking to a customer care representative over phone about the same, one of them asked to write an E-mail to ' [protected]@oneassist.in ' stating that there was no Job Sheet available as I did not want to repair the phone due to minor scratch and also due to my busy schedules those days and college works. I did the same but without any result. A copy of the mail have been attached for your reference. I talked to various representatives after that (there were no response whatsoever from their end), calling them over 15 times. Every representative gave me the same lame excuse about the absence of Job Sheet. Numerous times, I have asked the representatives for transferring me to the technical team or their supervisors but they would not do the same, every time giving the lame excuse that their supervisors were either not present or not free and they could not transfer me to their tech team. On the 11th August, 2019 they have finally closed the claim abruptly stating a vague reason - Reclaiming for the same damages for which claim already rejected. They have been using the word "Reclaim" alternatively every-time which is not true at all since it was a new claim.
As per policy T&C, I am entitled for two claims in a year period but the commitment has not been honored by the coy now. (Certificate or Membership ID - [protected])
I feel it is a illegal refusal of the company for my valid entitlement.
What I need now is for the company to either fix the problem for me or to return my MI Protect insurance money of ₹1099. (I had purchased for ₹1099 from MI India website, but, on the OneAssist account profile it shows up as ₹899)
