I have booked room through Oyo room in Puri for 09.11.2022 by the way of GPay for amount of Rs. 4026/- After booking I have got message from Oyo that due to unavoidable circumstances rooms not available on 09.11.2022. I have cancelled that booking on same day but till date (20 days later) I have not received my refund. I have tried several time to Oyo customer care number but they transferred call another helpline number. Some time they hold my call or disconnect. Kindly resolve my issue.

    I have stayed at Oyo 18581 from 24th to 26th November 2022 with the booking ID VD8D1019. I didn't receive the invoice for the stay. I have tried to call the customer care number but they have but me on hold for 15min after asking mobile number and disconnected the call. I tried 3 times almost same response.
    OYO Rooms customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

      This is regarding a complaint on the booking and refund issue. I have booked 3 rooms for the following days Dec 30 2022 -Jan 3 2023 through OYO. So to confirm by booking I called the property and they informed me that the hotel is closed down. So I cancelled the booking and got a message that the refund is initiated. Kindly refund me the money as soon as possible as I need to make other arrangements.

        Hi,
        My name is Abu hesham and I had booked an Oyo room on the night of 24th November till 26th Nov Morning - in Nagpur by phone through an Oyo agent
        - room was suggested by the Oyo agent - Agent informed that booking will be done only if I make the payment initially.

        Booking ID : GR3H2737
        Hotel : 28720 Prithvi Inn

        Issues :
        - Hotel was booked for 2 Days near the airport which is 8 kms far from the initial hotel I had requested.
        The agent assured me that this is a closeby hotel to the initial hotel I had requested which was about 3 kms.

        - I contacted OYO customer care about 6 times when I actually saw the distance of the hotel to cancel the booking and each time they kept my phone
        on long holds telling it' ll be transferred to the service desk and would disconnect the call everytime.

        - I finally gave up as it was getting late at night and decided to travel to the hotel to get a place to sleep atleast.

        - I reached the hotel somehow by hitchhiking, walking half the way, and not many transport options as it was late .

        - Once I reached the hotel, the Inn Keeper says that OYO payment is invalid and I need to pay another 800 for the night.
        He also said its a scam by OYO and they have complained OYO to remove the discounted price from the website but OYO is not doing anything.

        - I pleaded with them but they asked me to contact OYO - I tried calling again twice or thrice but it was the same - long hold and call disconnect.

        - I decided to raise this by Twitter instead, and after a couple of tweets - I got a call from OYO ( female agent) that they need to speak to the property owner.

        - No response after that for 1 hour. Inn Keeper meanwhile asks me to leave - but due to severe headache and body pain - I couldn't move from the lobby
        ( I was sitting on the couch) and told him that OYO is checking.

        - I got the second call from OYO ( same female agent) that they can offer me 3 more hotels that are close by or refund my amount or ask the property owner of
        Prithvi Inn to give me a room and adjust me in the booked room for the same amount paid.
        I asked for refund but the agent convinced me that It will be taken care of. Please stay put as she still needs to check booking status on the close by hotels.

        - No response after this conversation. I was so tired that I dozed off on the couch.

        - The inn keeper finally allowed me on the couch and he woke me up after sometime and asked for my ID - I shared a picture on his watsapp - his point seemed valid as
        he cannot let a complete stranger on the couch.

        - I wake up at 5 am and get out of the hotel and on my way and put a post to OYO on twitter as well at 5 am .

        - I get a call around 8.30am - 25th November - from OYO and I repeated the same thing again and asked for an apology and a refund.
        The agent informs me that the hotel has marked me as checked in and they can address my grievance only after they mark checkout.
        I informed them that I was never provided any room and the innkeeper has scammed me and marked me as Checked in.

        - However, I contacted the Innkeeper that afternoon - 25th Nov - and asked him to mark me check out from the hotel that day itself - He agreed.

        - No contact from OYO until now. Highly disappointed and anticipating a stupid and illogical reply from OYO - let's see, I ll keep you all posted.

        Expectations from OYO :
        Apology.
        Full refund and compensation for the inconvenience.
        Remove the falsely advertised rates from the websites or blacklist the hotel.

          I had booked room from oyo for Nov 20 Once I reached to hotel for check-in hotel staff told they are not taking room booking from oyo with online payment & when I tried to connect with OYO customer case on this. They cancelled my booking and told we will refund full amount. I have received Rs.1874 only. After that I had tried to connect customer care. They not respons properly.

            Booked for 2 days but due to service issue vacated after 1 day.
            Promised to issue refund after checkout. Collected all details and then stopped responding over email.
            Any call to customer care was put on infinite hold without any response.

            The executive just made more empty promises but didnt receive the amount.

              Oyo rooms was supposed to refund me the excess money demanded by the hotel. After a lot of communication they said the money has been sent to my account which would be reflected in 7 to 14 days. However nothing has come yet. There last email is attached below..

                I did oyo booking

                20-22 November - MVQE5342 -Jagruti
                22-25 November- D8373226 - Himani
                Both booking were at same hotel

                The 1st day(20 nov) when I checked in Room was horrible, pipes and sealing were open, broked furniture and it was looking like some cameras are also present. Along with that in reception area owner was drinking an alcohol.

                So within 2 hours I left that hotel, and canceled my 2nd booking as well which was for same hotel from 22-25th. I am trying to register complaint, but oyo customer care see below 3 times mentioned that they will register complaint and will give me whole refund. But they cut down my call whole 3 times after 15 minutes.

                May I know what Kind of service Oyo is providing to single women in india who is travelling alone. What safety they are carrying. I should get my total refund for whole 5 days as early as possible.

                Also please check who was there in a call whole 3 times from customer service line, if this is the approach from your end then this is so unacceptable.

                I hope you will take action on this.

                  We book 2 rooms in Hotel townhouse friends inn In indore on 25th j
                  nov upto 30th nov for 4 adult members.During check in time Hotel manager refused to allowing my family to check in because of online low tarrif for rooms and demanding higher tarrif . So mu family leave that hotel, but they already marked checked in their system, so OYO company do not give us are money refund.And hotel manager also didn't help us.

                      I have booked hotel from Oyo rooms application on November 13, 2022 for 2 days. I booked through oyo and the name of the Hotel is also Oyo OYO Townhouse 332 Varthur Main Road
                      15, Thubarahalli, Whitefield, Bangalore. The total charges were Rs.1663 and also I have in advance through online mode. I have email received from Oyo for room charges 1663 and payment done 1663 and total payable 0.
                      Thereafter I reached hotel and checked in and hotel charges increased by Rs. 453 at the time of check in. I informed the same to Customer care of oyo room that how room charges can increase to Rs.2116 after I booked a hotel at 1663. Since I booked at Rs.1663 that becomes a contract and charges are fixed and I paid in advance of Rs.1663. But increasing hotel rete after booking room is not acceptable not wrong practice and I suffered due the this. Finally, Oyo told be to check in and extra amount I should pay which will be refunded by Oyo after check out. But when I checked out I asked the bill from hotel and hotel denied any bill and told that Oyo will provide the bill and will be send to your email.
                      Then I informed Oyo customer care to process for refund and as I have email that support that Total charges payable Rs.1663 and total amount paid Rs. 2116. and they agreed to initiate the refund. But thereafter again Oyo customer care asking for hotel bill as proof which is not available as hotel denied the me to provide any bill. Since everything is clearly evident from Oyo app that I have booked at 1663 and I have paid Rs.2116 against same hotel and extra amount of Rs. 463 should be refunded to me. But now Oyo is denied is not acceptable and doing harassment to a customer. Request you to register a complaint against Oyo for denying the refund. Oyo should provide bill since I booked hotel though oyo but also that is not provided. I am attaching all payment evidence and email communication for your reference.

                      this same kind of incident happened to us in bangalore as well. though we have already paid amount via oyo rooms it was not considered at the hotel when the receipt of the payment was shown and was charged extra. really frustrating of this kind of hotels that showcase as we support OYO rooms but in general it is just to attract customers. lost trust and got mental agony when heard that our payment for the hotel has been rejected and had to pay extra to stay in the room.

                          Dear Sir,
                          I made a booking with OYO Rooms on 9th November 2022 nd due to some reason I had to cancel my booking on the very same day for which the said Company is required to pay me refund as per their policy within 7 to 14 days which are already passed. And if the customer is calling on their support then the system is set in such a manner that the call will not be forwarded to the relevant department and the call will automatically disconnect.

                            Hi,
                            I booked a hotel called OYO Flagship 9528 Hotel Midas Capital. I was charged additional money for having breakfast added for my stay. However during the stay in the hotel the hotel persons denied the breakfast saying they do not provide breakfast. When I reached Oyo rooms they asked me to talk to https://www.booking.com. I never got any response from Booking.com. After this even Oyo said that this breakfast has been made complimentary even when I was charged extra money for this and they denied my refund.

                              I had booking from 20 to 21st November 2022 at Chandigarh, at

                              when I was about to reach hotel all the way from #delhi to #chandigarh, I called the hotel people, he said we can not give you booking as we have electrical work going on, he directly denied for it, now take this as humanly, person driving all the way from delhi to chandiharh and when he was about reach hot denied for checkc-in then what would happen there. I called to oyo people and explained my situation that I am on National Highway and there is no place to go anywhere, girl other side listen this and put me on hold and dis the call after 20 minutes, still I am on highway no place to go, I called again to hotel he again said we can not do anything call OYO people, we are not reasonable for this, I counter him and said this is your responsibility before accepting the booking and if any work is going on then inform the customer before day of check in atleast so customer arrange the things there, he cut the call, I again 2 times call #OYOrooms person on other side took 1 hour and arrange me hotel but as person who is on highway with no where to go with family (wife and child age of 6 ) will accept whatever comes in way with both hand so I accept and when I reached this new shifted #(OYO 19778 Hotel Royal Shades) (Nayagaon, Chandigarh), as arrival of customer, hotel people first ask to see the hotel room and if it all satisfactory they do the formalities, here nothing happen, he first asked ID and money which I did as just wanted to get calm and my baby was also not well that time she was crying so without checking the room I checked - in there, then just in 5 minutes I asked the hotel person TV is not working as well as i asked him provide me suitable parking as hotel was situated on road, huge traffic noise, people can damage the car, this all thing I came to know, as I was allready paid so I asked him to do something, he said we can not do anything, we have no parking, I asked him so anyone can damage the car there in road, well that's one point, another one is tv was not working, he said willl be working in 15 minutes but not happened< so I asked the #OYOroom people, this is [censored] you offered in, you guys just took the advantage of my situation here, (partap I think) on other side said we will give to you refund but take another hotel by own and refund would be inititaed full, call next day as hotel people will mark you checked-out next day 11 only so call after 11 am we will refund you,

                              Now when I call sombila I thing said only 20% refund of booking< I asked her no refund I want, as Goodwill gesture I wan nothing but I want apologize later and as well ass that partap agent need to be fired.

                              She was not care about that and sent my pretyped mail and compulsory sent me 2o% refund which I already denied. Even this call went for 50 miutes very first 40 minute I asked the manage on call she said he is in meeting, means customer interaction is nothing but thier meeting must be going on after 45 minutes again asked for manager she said he is busy, means customer as nothing for them, she was so adment on call, I asked ofr apology later and that person fired, as he lied to me. nothing hapend she dis the call. No call back I received from #OYORooms as of now.

                                I had made a booking through Oyo helpline from 20th Nov to 21 Nov. Booking was done at OYO 84164 Rao Residency and payment was done online by the link shared by the Oyo team on WhatsApp.
                                Later when I reached the hotel they denied my entry stating they don't permit people who makes online payment as they get very less amount and can't give me a room. I had also faced the same problem earlier which I communicated to the OYO member, but they assured me it won't be happening. After reaching to the hotel, I was stuck there Without options I asked for the help at the reception then they offered me a room if I pay them Rs 500, not having any option, I had to proceed with this and paid them 500 cash for which they provided me the room, but the money I paid online with OYO is stolen bt them. i communicated this to the Oyo staff the very moment but the amount is if still not refunded after three days and when I am calling customer care, they are keeping me on hold for 10 to 15 minutes and then the call gets disconnected self. Even transferred to IVR sometime. It happened almost 8 to 10 times. I am really frustrated with this and lost my money and will ask people reading this post, not to make any booking through OYO. This is just a fraud company which takes your money away.

                                  actually on 12 November i had booked a hotel named as "OYO Flagship 9599 Vansh Palace" around 8-9'o clock, so when i reached at location firstly property owner ask me to done the payment and submit id's so i have done the payment of 740INR. then he shows me room and when i saw the room it was in very worst condition not even that condition in which people can survive but in images its shown very neat and clean not even 1% like that and he said now you have to spend your night in it, if you want another so need to pay 2200INR. So when i denied i will not spend a single minute here and return my money, so he threatens me he gathered 3-4 boys and threatening me to beat and didn't return my money and say you can go do whatever you want i will not return your money now,
                                  and also now i had checked he was marked it that we have spent the night there and marked checkout, kindly do needful i want my whole refund along with compensation for this such type of harassment which done towards me, then in night i have to find another property which costs to me 1400INR.
                                  i want the refund along with this compensation as well
                                  further i had taken the snaps of room and when i tried to click he locked room and asked me to leave i also have the voice recording of their behaviors, if you need i can provide further attaching the snaps and payment receipt, please have a look on attachments how a person can survive here the switch boards are coming out, life loss can happen...worst experience of my life

                                    I booked a room at OYORooms on 12th Sept. 2022 and paid online Rs 935/- Booking ID BYOM1333 and when i reached the hotel i was told by the reception staff that no room booked by OYO for me. then immediately i contacted and kept on holding for several minutes and at the end they said Sorry my money will be refunded within 14 days which i did not receive till date [22.11.2022]

                                      Sir, I was booked a room on 14.11.2022 for two days through OYO app and paid amount of Rs 2423/-. Booking Id: H6EZ3225 and Hotel name is Grand Neelam, 20/23, Arakshan Road, , Near Main Bazar. When I rushed to hotel, there is no hotel and mis guided me for two hours and finally switched OFf mobile. It was very strange, and suffered with family and luggauge from 10.00 pm to 12.00 pm in mid night. Actually, that hotel is not available physically. Even after complained OYO, not removed from your site. It is very carelessness of your company. Kindly return my amount of Rs 2423/- and improve the quality of service.

                                        It's regarding a booking with I'd FGGE4430 that I made through OYO app for 14th to 16th Nov 2022. I got a call from the hotel on 14th around 8.45 pm. Hotel representative told me that they don't accept payment through oyo. He asked me to cancel this booking on oyo and pay in cash in the hotel. As per the oyo policy, cancelation before 9am wouldn't charge any fee and customer is entitled for the full refund. I had no time to call the customer care, so I had to cancel the booking before 9am without wasting time. Therefore I canceled it and got the refund initiated and approved. Later to my surprise refund status was showing as failed. I have been calling the customer care since last 5 days. They put me on hold saying it will be taken care by the service department. But no one responds thereafter. I even wrote emails to [protected]@oyorooms.com, [protected]@oyorooms.com and guestsupport.[protected]@oyorooms.com

                                        I got the refund. But it will be my first and last booking through oyo. After booking on oyo, hotel would call you to cancel the booking and pay in cash. Later, you get the refund status failed against your canceled booking which is with in the oyo refund policy. Thereafter, customer care representative instead of supporting, makes a false booking on your name. The biggest scam is the customer care. They always give false assurance and disconnect the phone. This is how they play with their customer's time and unnecessary efforts.
