I bought a Tata Indica Vista car (KL01 BD 6119) on Novermber 2011. At the time of delivery itself there were many issues related to the delivery and quality of the parts in the car. I raised a complaint for this in the site before (http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/tata-motors-kerala-c679122.html).
The issues which I found was:
1. Sound from front left
2. Rear dicky door not opening and closing properly
3, Misaligned front bumper

I took the car for first service and informed the service centre of the complaint. When I received the car I found that the issue still persists. I raised a complaint with Tata and there were no suuitable resolutions. After that I took the car for next service to the same service centre. I informed about the issues. They promised me that they would resolve it. Nothing happened. Then again I raised complaint with Tata Motors, based on this complaint I took my car again to the service centre. They resolved one issue which was a sound coming from front left of the car. The issue with the misalignment of the front bumper was still there. The service centre is claiming that there isno misalignment and it is normal. But I showed him cars which were there for service having perfect front bumper alignment. I did not accept their claim and raised the issue with Tata,

The Tata manager asked me to take the car to the service centre again to verify whether the issue is due to manufacturing defect with the bumper itself. I informed the manager that service centre could very well update him about the matter since they had checked my car three times. After this there is no infromation from Tata Motors.

I as a customer feels dejected and cheated by Tata and the service centre. I kave been a loyal Tata customer for the past 12 years. Before this Indica Vista I was using old generation Indica (Registration Number: KL01 T 6542) which I bought way back in 2000. But now having seen the customer service and quality of the Tata Motors I feels otherwise.

TATA Motor — not good service

I had changd my bumper from JOSHI AUTO ZONE but they used local quality material and put in my car & i have so many gaps in bumper.
and also saying we don't have good quality bumpers its a better & use it they make
me totally fool

plz. i request to you change my bumper.

TATA Motor — auto loan is so late

i received one msg from hdfc that my auto loan verification is complete until my auto loan has not done.so i am very upset from bank becose i has not carried my car indica ev2.your bank employee are currepted and lazy also thatswhy pls take action on my auto loan file emidiatly.
sir, my name is shobhalal.last month i purchase 3 new tata truck from popular motors kollam.in that truck, some parts are missing they are wiper motor, side mirror, tata emblem on steering, and the side safety guards is damaged.in purchasing time our manager pointed that problems.but the service manager (popular motors kollam)told all problems solve in one week.they are cheat me.our purchasing date was 03/05/12.please help me sir.my mail id is [protected]@gmail.com, mob [protected],

    Sir,

    We would like to lodge a complaint against Tata Motors for their vehicle Tata Nano car and after sale services.

    We purchased a Tata Nano (LX) in Feb 2011.
    The vehicle was running well till Nov 2011. But, since Dec 2011 the car started showing problem generally the starting problem, battery getting discharged every now and then, even when the vehicle was running regularly.
    We gave the vehicle for service to AADYA motors an authorized dealer in Tata Motors, located at Ring Road, Bangalore.

    Even after servicing the vehicle, it is not in a position to run. The vehicle gets breakdown every now and then. The company is not able to give a proper answer and solution to our problem.

    Recently the vehicle got breakdown in the middle of the highway, where the break got fail and the vehicle stopped suddenly without and safety and security indication. We luckily got saved. We had our six months child with us in that vehicle.

    We are not satisfied with the vehicle and the services and we have complained to Tata Motors, but no positive response.

    We finally want our money back for the vehicle.

    We hope that your site can help us solve our problem.

    tata motor/tata nano — defective model

    Dear Sir,
    I had luckily got Nano LX model on 5th Dec,2009 against my booking. This is my first four wheeler, so I am eager to get soon. I didnot verify with each part in details. the front right hand tyre struck little on the pavement barrier and damaged the whole lower arm on which the wheel is placed. the tyre is get damaged by rotation. if it is so soft how it serve the purpose. I am afraid before delivery that is defective or after it hit the tyre it s lower arm damaged.In service station also they want to change the lower arm which is not available and Iam waiting for that. If the vechicle is so delicate how it will run in bhubaneswar raod. pl. verify and getthe detail to me.

    Tata Motors — defective nano car

    dear sir,
    i have purchased a nano cx car in the end of april 2010.the car has several manufacturing defects.these are enumerated are as under :

    1. there is vibration noise when the vehicle is being reversed.

    2. the front right side wheel drags on being reversed.

    3.the engine stops running when the vehicle slows down.

    4. first gear of the vehicle slips back .

    5. leakage of water during rain from one side of the right back door.

    i have brought these defects to the notice of incharge of customer care and my car is in workshop at patna . honestly, i had not envisaged that tata motors will be coming out with such a vehicle which will put the customers in trauma and pain.

    lastly, i got a call from dealer that fuel line of my car needs to be replaced and as such i sent my car to workshop but no one has given me in writing that fuel line has been replaced.

    Nano Car — Problem in running

    I had purchased NANO car from Raj Motors, Rohtak in the first draw of delivery of nano car.Unfortunately, it developed snag in the running after few days of its purchase.I had made complaint to raj motors. The car was shown personally by me, but they failed to redress my complinats.

      Dear Sir,

      I have purchased a Tata Indigo ecs in December 2011 (RJ25-CA-1631). I just to draw your kind attention that I haven’t done regularize services after 1st service due to two major miss-happenings in my family. One is my mother’s sudden death and other is my uncle’s missing. These 6 months was very pathetic for me and my family. I just want to know that may I go for schedule service without any break services (2nd, 3rd and more)? And if any warranty matter comes in my car than it will not suffer with irregular service schedule. My car’s km running is still near about 5400 kms just in six months. My nearest service centres are kota & jaipur. I can go for my car's service between 9th to 15th june 2012. Please suggest me for next step.
      I hope matter is clear to you. Eagerly waiting for your response.

        I have invested Rs.30000/- in Tata Motors FD on 07/05/2009 for a period of 36 months online through ICICIDIRECT. The e-deposit was done through demat with my demat a/c no. [protected] in the name of Sunil Kumar Agarwal in ICICIDIRECT. The FD was matured in 06/05/2012. I didnot get my assured fund value of Rs. 40346/-.

        Please help me get the money from Tata Motors Limited.

          sir we sended deposit of TATA MOTORS limited by India post to your address on 28.04.2012(receipt no EK[protected]IN) which was delivered to your address.

          after two weeks we consult to your executive officer they told that TATA MOTORS changed their reg address so your staff member sended the deposit to tata motors but yet also not received the deposit by tata motors limited

          kindly make an attention on this query and solve our problem and oblige.

            While driving on 30.03.2012 rear right side car window glass falls down will a big noise, at that window pregnant lady was sitting. Car was taken to customer care and I was told winder metal wire rope was broken and entire winder set needs to replace, for it I have to pay Rs. 1250. I also have lodge the same complain earlier when my car was under warranty at that time to winder was having a problem and it was changed. This is always happening due to poor quality material used in TATA cars earlier it was under warranty and since now my car is not under warranty I will have to pay lot of amount for replacement faulty material used during manufacturing.
            I just want to know who will take responsibility of safety related item malfunctioning & any injury cause to my family member due to defective material used. If its happens in one instant one can understand if the same problem appear multiple time its due to faulty / low quality material used.
            I need permanent solution for fixing such kind of manufacturing defect. Also I need my money back as I have raised this concern earlier ( during warranty period ) also that window glass is having problem and all window glass needs to be checked.

            Even though I have complain on TATA website on 11 Apr 12 till no proper / satisfactory answer was given. They are trying to just run away from their quality related issue & they are just trying to push the issue till this problem happens again in future.

            All the TATA products are like this only. Very low quality and irresponsible service, third rated brains
            Even my car Steering nuckle broken all of a sudden while the car was running. The car met with accident and all my family members inside the car have to jump to save the life. After raising the complaint, they don't even put effort to have a direct visit of the vehicle.

            Pure nuts and money minded. This is why people never opt for Indian brands. I did a mistake.

              Details Description Of Problem :

              My name Mugilan from Bangalore , I brought Tata car EV2 LS on march2012 form TrueSai Motor - Dharmapuri ( TamilNadu),
              When my car delivery time I am not checked my battery details like made , made on and battery number .,After I given service to Tata motor service centre ( Concorde Motor-Dairy Circle (Bangalore) the service executive was informed about the battery it was OLD so on that time I was checked my battery warranty card there no number and then I was checked invoice receipt also there is no battery information . so called to TrueSai Motor Manger ( Ganesh )and I asked him, he said we don’t know any information because we received this new car from Head office ( Truesai Motor- Hosur Tamil nadu) Please Contact only Hosur .

              I have more issues on that truesai office people like
              Issue 1.They not delivery my car on time (near 2months)
              Issue2.On Booking time price details was different when I took that time they was asking to pay more ( reason price was increased).even though my financed amount was already approved with TATA Finance.
              Issue 3.Insurance information are not comminuted to me.
              Issue 4.Insurance paper communication address details was wrong.
              Issue 5.I don’t know the executive person name also.
              Issue 6.Tempertory Registration amount was collected from me but that paper they given after 15days.
              Issue 7.When delivery time only centre watch man , diver and Unknown person are delivered my car to me.
              Issue8.No Proper Bill information.

                The vehicle was running smoothly and i never faced any problem but suddenly on[protected]

                it was creating problem in starting .I got it checked from your Authorised Dealer M/S Autolink New Delhi

                and was told that the problem is due to BATTERY and they suggested me to take my vehicle to Amaron

                Batteries Dealer.



                I took the vehicle to M/S RK Enterprises Authorised Dealer of Amaron Batteries, Panjabi Bagh New Delhi.

                I gave them the copy of the warranty card issued by the Metro Motors.They refused to change the Battery because the battery make was year 2006 and was out of warranty as per the year of make.



                I am surprised that my vehicle is 2008 model and the battery installed in that is of year 2006, which is against the rule of manufacturing and it is a breach of Trust with the customer.I visited Metro motors, Ambala Cantt my dealer .

                They also refused to change the battery.As I am working with a call centre and can not afford to get my vehicle stopped even for a day whereas i am not running it for the last 2 weeks.It is giving me the loss of my daily income and also the interest of my Financers.



                Earlier also i wrote to M/S Metro Motors but didnt hear from them.Therefore you are requested to please get it changed at your end soon and compensate me.

                  Through this mail I would like to bring to your kind notice a fact which is causing much of inconvenience to me. I am sure that u will lend a patient ear to my story. It was 2007 when i became the owner of SUMO VICTA GX with Reg No. WB20H2005 via loan agreement no. [protected]. the loan for the same was taken by me through one of your representatives at my office the complete documentation and procedures were done. At that moment i had only 19 No. of Cheques with me which were taken by your representative . It was also promised by your representative that he will collect the rest no. of cheques shortly. the total tenure of the loan was 60 months. All was fine but then no one turned up to collect the cheques. In the meantime a person from the office called up regarding the issue saying that payment was due and a representative of his collected the same from me. This now became a regular affair. At each time i used to request the representative (each time a new one) and also write on the receipts which he brought that pls make arrangements for taking up the rest of the cheques but to my request all turned a deaf ear. at last after quite sometime when this became a constant problem i decided to foreclose my loan. the amount which the authorities told me i paid the same within two working days.

                  Now the problem which i have is that i am planning to take a business loan and as a result they asked for the statement of my car loan which states that most of my cheques are returned but as i have also told u before that i had only issued 19 cheques which had not returned. Hence i again visited your office at Hungerford STREET KOLKATA after listening to me the lady customer care officer apologized and said that she will forward a mail to CBIL so that my name can be removed from there.

                  but that is quite a time taking affair and i not ready to wait for such a long period of time. i requested the lady also to forward the mail she was sending to my account but she refused saying it is not the policy.
                  So i request you to take appropriate and quick action.

                    I am Tata Indica Vista Owner Since July'2009. I am having Aura Saffire bought from CPL Motors, Pathankot (PB) reg. No PB 06 J-1604. It's good vehicle but after 1~2 years, the dicky got corroded. After registering the complaint with Shri Bala Ji Autowheels, Moradabad, They said me to either pay for repair or I will put the case with Tata Motors for repairing reimbursemenets and problem not entertained. As It is manufacturing defect right from the begining, So this will be taken care of by Tata motors. Same is the case of my friends vista saffire who had bought it in Dec'2008. See attached photos.

                    Pls. look into this matter.

                    I purchased Tata Safari (2.2 VTT DICOR) from M/S Ghosh Brothers, Guwahati on10/03/2011. The vehicle was delivered after Pre- Delivery Inspection by the work manager. But on the same day vehicle developed problem of pick up. On being reported, the service center of M/S Ghosh Brothers, Guwahati could not confirm the defect. Another dealer, M/S Abhisekh Brothers has checked the vehicle and there after M/S Ghosh Brothers had rectified it. Again, on 22nd May'2011 my vehicle had developed another defect of Fuel Injector.On inspectionM/S Ghosh Brothers at Tezpur had confirmed that due to defect in fuel injector, fuel supply to Engine is affected. The matter was reported on 22nd May and till date the vehicle is laying at M/S Ghosh Brothers Tezpur without any repair.
                    It is really sad to know the poor functioning of the Dealers and causing unnecessary delay thereby harassing the customers.
                    Enough is enough.
                    I remind the Tata Motors to either replace the vehicle or repair it within three days i.e. till 29th May'2011 failing which I will be left with no other option but to approach Consumer Court for redressal.

                    Dear Sir,
                    1. We had purchased a TATA Starbus Skool having Engine/Chasis No 497SPTC40CVY609777/ MAT455103E8CO6269 on 10 Apr 14. On 27 Oct 14 at around 0615 hours when the bus was carrying children, all of sudden steering of the bus was failed. The speed of the vehicle was too low at the time of incident and thanks to Almighty that no misshappening had occurred for whatsoever any reason. However, the possibility of major untoward incident can't be ignored that may lead to embarrassment to the school authorities as well as loss of lives.

                    2. As per the statement of mechanic sent by the dealer, threading of steering wheel was completely exhausted. It is not understood as to how threading of steering rod of a new vehicle, hardly having 6000 km running during six months washed away. The quality of parts utilised is doubtful.

                    3. Please investigate the circumstances of incident and intimate us as to why we should not go to Consumer Forum to claim penalty for the lapse.

                        My car was accident on 20th march 2012 ,Then I Visit OMR check point @ perungudi for repair work, he said it will be take 15days for work, but he start work at 4th April 2012 only, so 15 in days he don't do any work, The OMR check point spoiled my business, and then still i didn't get my car from OMR check point, If i am contact OMR check point service adviser he don't pick up my number, then i visit directly service adviser he said , The problem was spare parts delayed and all so manpower shorted , I don't know how can are you selected OMR check point as a TATA MOTORS SERVICE DEALER ?,, If i am visit local Garage service center, i am sure he don work within a week, i am loss Rs 30,000,00. thousand, because of OMR check point, Really I am very sad to choose OMR check point.

                            My wife had bought a Tata Nano car in Sept 2010 and till now the vehicle has done barely 4000 kms. Within this short span the vehicle had to go to the workshop at least 4 times with some complaint or other. Twice the vehicle did not start as the fuel pump did not work, once the vehicle did not have any pick up after starting and once the accelerator was not working. At least two times the vehicle had to be towed to the workshop as the service personnel were not able to repair the vehicle on site. Further with the short period of one and a half years, the paint on the bonnet has already started cracking and peeling off. All this clearly shows that the vehicle has been manufactured using sub-standard material. And the vehicle does not come cheap, it cost me 2.25 lacs on the road. After paying so much, it is a mental agony that in times of need the vehicle deserts us. We bought the car as it was from the house of Tatas and we felt that they will only supply standard material. However to our dismay we find that the car is totally sub-standard and the customers have been literally taken for a ride. Nano is a shame on the name of Tata. I regret having bouight the vehicle and feel that by spending another 50 to 75 thousand I could have got a standard vehicle from Maruti instead of trusting the name of Tata.

                            I would advise all prospective vehicle buyers to go no where near the Nano. The trouble you face is not worth it.

                                    I Sourav Shankar really sorry to say that i am not satisfied with the service provided by aastha motors, Patna (Bihar). We have two cars from TATA motors only because of the name and fame of TATA. But the service provided by Guinea motors, Patna (Bihar) can't be neglected and yes! i appreciate. But in aastha motors, the employee are not well behaved, the way of talking is really pathetic and rediculous. They gave us car in little bit good condition but after my interuption.
                                    When i requested for the feedback form, they tried to show as they don't know what the feedback form is. I discussed about it and let them understand then they told me that they could not give me as the forms were not available. They also said that they did not know where it has been kept. So, i decided to give my views through mail.

                                        i bought a new tata vista in nov' 2011 (just 3 months earlier).

                                        i send my this car on second service, to rama motors at okhla-1, new delhi. they said me that they will topup my car engine oil if required. but i shocked when they said that my this car is top up by 1 liter engine oil, at just 5500 kms.

                                        is tata is making such bad engines, that requires 1 liter engine oil in just 5500 kms?
                                        or this is a plan to cheat a customer by tata authorised service centers.

                                        secondly they said they will lubricate the doors after washing, for this they charge very huge amount, for just spraying a small quantity of rust free spray.

                                        does tata motors thinks that customers should be satisfy by such type of cars and such type of cheating & looting behaviour of tata authorised service centres.

                                        Perfect Service Centre, Okhla — Cheating Customers

                                        Sir, Around mid-Feb 09 I called up Just Dial to find a Godrej Repair company to replace a Baffle Tray which had cracked. Around 10 vendor reps called and I selected Perfect Service Centre, #D-10/4 Phase 2, Okhla Industrial Area, Okhla Industrial Estate, Delhi-110020, Phone:[protected], Mobile:[protected]. Their service engineer (Shakeel[protected] installed a defective tray and charged me Rs 1, 250/- (850/- for the tray, 250/- installation and 150/- for home service). On 2 Mar 09 after repeated calls, he came and took the tray promising to replace it and has not been heard from since. The Company (Mobile:[protected] has stopped responding to my calls. Please let me know how can I take this complaint to the Consumer Court. Do I need to file an FIR ? I have their receipt in original. Thank you, Ashutosh

                                        I Booked a TATA SAFARI VX 4*4 through your dealer M/s NATIONAL GARAGE. Jammu ON 24.11.09 and The vehicle was to be delivered
                                        09-12-09. i paid booking amount on same day and the remaining amount as bank draft on[protected].
                                        On the day of delivery tata people told it will be delivered on 15th of December.15th dec. nothing happened no body called to tell when they are going to deliver the vehicle.So i called tata moters on 17th of dec. i was told to talk with Mr. Vishal the GM TATA MOTORS JAMMU, he asked me he will call next day, nothing of that sort happened. I again called him next day on which he got angry and talked ruidly and mischievously over the phone and when i asked him that when the vehicle is to be delivered then he misbehaved and told that i am not your servent and he banged the phone.Is this is the way to treat your customers? And today on 24th dec. i haven't got the delivery of car.
                                        sir i think that your co.is proud of our nation and this type of behaviour shows me that there is not good management of your co. very worst and third class management is being implemented in your co.

                                        Ma’am/Sir

                                        I, Jayanta Mukherjee, R/o. B 223, Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi 110 019, owner of black Indica Reg# DL 3C AC 8360; would like to bring to your notice, the harassment and rude behavior that I have been facing from Rama Motors, Okhla, New Delhi.

                                        My ordeal started on February 06, 2012, when I had handed over my car for running repairs in the fuel pump and other related and small work. The details are as follows:

                                        1. The service advisor’s name: Varun (+[protected]
                                        2. Estimated date of delivery: February 08, 2012; Actual date of delivery: February 09, 2012 at 2130 hrs.
                                        3. Amount paid for all the works: Rs 21, 500/- (The detailed invoice is attached)
                                        4. The pump was not fixed properly, had to go back the next day again to get it checked.
                                        5. The front wheels had been left loose (bolts were not tightened) which could have led to serious accidents and injury.
                                        6. The washing and interior cleaning quality was of the lowest standards possible.
                                        7. The workshop Manager, Mr Avinash (+[protected], tells me that the problems and the delays are because of shortage of manpower. This is certainly not my headache.
                                        8. The workshop manager (Mr Avinash) and another guy, Mr Vivek (+[protected] behave in the rudest possible way indicating maybe that they are doing a favor to me by fixing my car.
                                        9. Had to go back and get the catalytic converter de-carboned (something that was there on the job card, but they did not bother to fix).
                                        10. One of the problems was that, the central alarm was not sounding on opening the driver’s door, the boot and the bonnet. Varun tells me It’s because the locking remote is bad. On insisting, it was found that the switches were spoiled and hence the alarm was not working properly. Therefore, the service advisor tried to misguide me to cover up for their inadequacy.
                                        11. There was an electrical issue with short circuiting or maybe earthing which was also on the job card and on asking them was assured that it has been fixed. As it appeared later, it certainly had not been touched, forget about fixing.
                                        12. There was a major problem with the fuel pump resulting in low pick-up and fluctuating RPM, even though I paid Rs 14, 310/-, it was never fixed requiring a third visit.

                                        None of the works paid for had been completed and moreover, the behavior of the management staff (Mr Avinash, Mr Aditya) along with the workshop staff was appalling and unbefitting of Tata Motors.

                                        1. Went back the next day (February 10, 2012) with the same issues. The car was rewashed and the catalytic convertor de-carboned.
                                        2. The electrical issues remained.
                                        3. The fuel pump issue remained.


                                        The Third Ordeal:

                                        1. Went back with the same complaints on February 18, 2012
                                        2. Service advisor: Sagar (+[protected]
                                        3. Again ended up paying Rs 8, 830/-
                                        4. Got the car back after nearly a week later on February 26, 2012.
                                        5. The RPM fluctuations and the low pick up, which, till now had been blamed on the fuel pump suddenly turned into an issue with the clutch and the electrical issues turned into a faulty alternator. (They had checked the alternator during the 1st visit and certified it running properly).
                                        6. The fuel injection system was also overhauled.


                                        Within 270 km of running the car, my Fourth Ordeal starts:

                                        1. Suddenly while driving to work, the “Check Engine” lights came on and the car started making weird noises. Called up Rama Motors. This was on March 07, 2012.
                                        2. Mechanic from Rama Motors identified the issue as being in the fuel injector system (something that has already been fixed and paid for)
                                        3. Mr Avinash gave the commitment to deliver the repaired car on the very same day or else, provide a loaner car. Nobody from Rama Motors called up regarding the loaner car nor did anyone call to inform that the car would not be delivered the same day.
                                        4. Today is March 9, 2012; on calling Avinash he started yelling at me and telling me that he does not have to report to me. The car is not yet delivered and I am still stuck with no transportation due to the sloppy work and unethical work culture of Rama Motors.


                                        The whole point of this letter is to inform you and keep you abreast of the ground realities which are contributing to the general dissent to buy Tata cars. And, also to inform you about the legal action that I shall be initiating against Rama Motors.

                                        These complaints have been lodged with Tata Motors customer care before (Complaint no. 1-[protected]) and also with the National Consumer Forum (Complaint no. 360778).

                                        The most shocking and appalling thing about the whole ordeal is that the management staff is so insensitive to the customers issues (and I thought customer was king!!) and this is leading the workers to just follow the lead. I would like to lodge the complaint against Rama Motors in particular and the following people in particular for all the harassment and uncouth behavior:
