I am currently using a plan that charges me 950 + service tax for a 4 mbps plan with fup limit of 50 gb. However, the company has come up with new plans that charge 800 + service tax for the same service i. E 4 mbps connection with fup of 50 gb. And the company continues to charge me more for the same service and cheating its customer of the right to know of the cheaper plans for same service pocketing more money for same service. I see the company is charging me and do not know how many more customers a good amount of 250-400 more for the same services. And i am not for how long this company has been cheating its customers with such scams.

I request this matter to be looked into and i be refunded the amount that have been charged extra to me for so many months.

    I have been tikona customer for past 4 years and now that I am shifting and want to close my connection before I leave, for the past 10 days I am calling Tikona customer service to raise my closure request, but they never registering my request as closure but as an issue request. They were also asking me to transfer my connection to my friends and not to disconnect. My billing cycle starting again today and I am going to pay these guys for no usage...

    When I checked about these fraud activities in the internet, I see lot of complaints raised against Tikona sevices and our Telecom ministry was not taking any action against this fraud company and let people suffer every day.

    This is also a kind of corruption and I am not sure whether our Government will think about taking any action against these kind of telecom providers.

    Please help me.

    Dear Tikona,

    Despite of raising this request prior to future bill date, I received an invoice today for the service which I am not going to use. This is truly a fraudulent activity. I am going to raise a case against Tikona in a consumer court if this is not waived off and sent in written to my registered email address.

    I am going to write this to Tikona Zonal officer, TRAI and PM Cell in next 2 working days if this did not happen.

      Hello, i started using tikona in feb 2015. They have a joke for internet service. 25 out of 30 days were spent by me calling up the customer care for issues. This went on till december when i decided to stop their service. Called them up multiple times and told them that i am changing my internet service provider from january 2016. Which i did.
      I repeatedly asked them in dec and jan to take their antenna and wires. The calls probably went to deaf ears.
      Then they started an overdue billing charges.
      And today i received a threat call from some advocate in delhi asking me to pay up or go to court. It was 1380. This is literal mental harassment. And judging from the various tweets sent out to the handle bajpai_prakash and the discussions on quora i know i'm not the only one.
      Their customer service is non existent.
      As a student, all i could do after the call was pay the bill but i do not want to let this slide as this company needs to be called out for the fraud service they are running.

        I was tikona user a year ago,
        Tikona Customer id : [protected]

        We use tikona service roughly for few months(2) and after that we request to discontinue tikona service by calling tikona customer care and give valid reason 'why we stop this service' our all monthly bill was paid through online on end of month and last month bill paid by pickup request to local vendor

        We call customer care and request to discontinue our internet service
        Customer care repeatedly ask to hold connection and pay 100rs a month.

        but we forcefully said no and customer care said ' okay we disconnect you now, and if you will use internet we will charge you amount of 5paise/MBs '

        After discontinue internet service we never used a single byte of data from tikona internet and the TP-Link router they provide was useless for us too.

        After 2 month they keep sending Bill amount
        After that we again call the customer care of TIKONA and they said it is discontinued

        but today[protected] one lady call and said tikona filed lawsuit againts you
        your choice is either settle matter outside the case or go with legal action.

        Such kind of activity is condemned by me TIKONA user(was TIKONA user).
        and we have to implant a complaint against TIKONA Internet service provider firm

        For following reason
        1:) Mental harassment
        2:) Claim the false argument that 'TIKONA sent us a legal notice'
        3:) Publicized the user contact detail with other than company member.

        Please take seriously on this matter.

          I had requested a discontinuation of my account to tikona network and stopped using it since july 2016. But still they continue to demand bill payment every month for a service a dint even use. And on top of that they are harassing me by making fraud calls claiming to be from delhi court and that a complaint has been registered by tikona and that i should do out of court settlement and pay the bill they demand to avoid further court action. This has been done twice by the same person from 2 different nos and claiming to be two different persons. I request you to suggest me some solution to sue tikona digital networks.

            I started using broadband services on January 03, 2016 provided by Tikona Digital Networks. I made a prepayment Rs.2519 which included payment towards the installation charges and broadband services for next 3 months.
            The billing cycle of the service started from 26th of each month.

            I received a bill from Tikona Digital Networks on January 26, 2016 amounting to Rs.858.75 which was to be paid within February 12, 2016. I did not receive any mail for this bill but only an SMS. On inquiring through phone call, Tikona Care executive told me that this amount was charged for the broadband service usage from the day the service was activated (January 03, 2016) till the day the billing cycle started(January 26, 2016). As per his information, the 3 months that I made payment for should have started on January 26, 2016. I made the payment for Rs.858.75 on February 11, 2016.

            I received more bills for the next 2 months for billing cycles ending on February 26, 2016 for Rs.480.44 and March 26, 2016 for Rs.552.19. However, the Tikona Care representatives told me not to make any payment since these were included in the prepayment I made on January 03, 2016.

            On April 10, 2016, the broadband services discontinued. When I complained to the Tikona Care representatives, they told that I must make the payment of Rs.552.19 to continue the services. Outraged, I asked them to give me a detailed account of complete services utilization and the charges associated. They could not explain why this bill has to be paid. As per my understanding, the prepayment of Rs.2519 should have included this bill as well.

            Totally I made a payment of Rs.3377.75 to Tikona Digital Networks since January 03, 2016 which should have included all the charges til April 26, 2016. After continuous complaints from my side, they could give me any satisfactory answers as to why I have to make another payment of Rs.552.19 before April 12, 2016. When I asked, 'why the services are discontinued?' or 'why do I have to pay another bill?' or 'why does the first payment of Rs.2519 doesn't include this bill?'; all they could answer was 'I do not have that information as of now.'

            I told them to disconnect the services and refund my remaining money as I do not want anything to do with them. They told that I should take 7 days to see if anyone in my area wants that connection as they wont charge any installation fee. I told them I don't want anyone else to face problems like me.

            Unfortunately, all the above conversation happened on call and I did not write to them. They told me on April 24, 2016 that the services were disconnected, but I must make the payment for Rs.552.19. When I asked for the reason, the representative told me that this was an advanced payment for the next billing cycle. I refused to make any payment since I won't be using there services anymore.

            Over the next 3 months, I kept receiving mails, SMSs and automated phone calls for the bill payment. I called them multiple times telling them to stop any communication. Ultimately they stopped receiving my calls (When I call them from my registered number, no Tikona Care representative receives my call). I still receive all the communication stated above.

            On October 30, 2016, I wrote an email to Tikona Care at [protected]@tikona.in stating that I am no longer using any Tikona services and all the payment related communication must stop. I did not receive any reply for the same. All the automated communication (emails, SMSs and phone calls) still continue.

            On December 26, 2016 at 10.05 am, I received a call from [protected]. The lady from the other end said that she's a government lawyer and is calling to inform that Tikona Digital Networks has filed a complaint against my name. She wanted to ask if I would be ready with my lawyer to attend the next hearing or if I wanted an out of court settlement. I told her my entire experience with Tikona. I asked her what if I want to sue Tikona Digital Networks first. She told I must make the payment and then she'll issue a No-Objection Certificate with which I can go to the consumer forum. I told her to tell her client to at least talk to me since they are not responding to any of my communication. She said she's not one to talk to Tikona on my behalf. I asked her to give me some time to contact Tikona Digital Networks first.

            I tried to call Tikona Care immediately but no one received my call after waiting for long. I tried the same multiple times and from different numbers. The abovesaid lawyer again called me at 12.24 pm and gave me a number 'DLC/VLC/****/2016'. I called her again to tell me the details of the case.

            Following is the conversation.

            She : 'I can not tell you the file number again and again and the file has already gone to the magistrate. You just go to the nearest police station and tell the number.'
            I : 'I am on my way to the police station and I just wanted to know the number. I lost it.'
            She: 'I don't have it I can't tell it.'
            I : 'Please help me. You must have some record of all the file numbers somewhere.'
            She : 'I don't have any records.'
            I : 'Can you please tell me your name?'
            She : 'I am a government employee. I can't tell you my name.'
            I : 'Please at least tell me which court and which magistrate.'
            She : 'You will receive the related documents. Don't ever call me on this number again. I don't ever want to talk to you.'
            (She disconnected.)

            Tikona Digital Networks took Rs.3377.75 from me and has provided me broadband services for 3 months and 1 week. They are demanding that I pay them Rs.1304.17 more as of now that includes all the late fees. They've not only looted me but have also harrassed me throughout the year.

            I want Tikona Digital Networks to give me a detailed account of all the money that I paid them and how that has applied to the broadband services that I availed. They should refund me the money that is unaccounted for and apologize for all the harrassment that they've caused me so far with a promise of no further communication.

              Hi, i was a tikona customer in delhi from may 2015 to november 2015. There were frequent disconnections and every time i called the customer care, i was told they are working on the issue. Since i shifted to bangalore in november 2015, i called the customer care for disconnection of service. I was asked so many questions and as i told i am shifting to bangalore, they persuaded me to continue the service in bangalore and to keep the connection under safe custody untill i finalize the house for rent in bangalore. I agreed to that and agreed to pay safe custody charges. As the tikona network isn't good in the location i stayed in bangalore, i told the same to tikona by calling them on 5th january 2016 and asked them to disconnect the service and provide the final bill for payment.
              Shockingly, on 7th january, i received the email with bill telling to pay rs.1047/-, which included the recurring charge of rs.750/- for the period of 7th january 2016 to 6th february 2016!!! When actually i had requested for disconnection on 5th january itself and the bill was generated in january month for charges in january and february month!!!. I sent many emails to tikona customer care to generate the correct bill and email to me so that i can pay the same. But i never got one.
              Hence i called the customer care and explained on the issue some time in february 2016, i was told by the customer care executive that there is no pending amount, the connection will be disconnected. I demanded an email confirmation and told that i won't entertain if i keep getting the bills again, but again i never got an email confirmation of disconnection.
              Though, i got the confirmation of no dues when i called the customer care, i kept on getting bills generated with an addition of rs.100 every month and i kept ignoring the same as i had told them and emailed them about not entertaining the emails of bills.
              Finally, today (24th december 2016) i got a call from number [protected], telling that he is a govt. Advocate and would be sending a notice to me with regards to the pending amount to tikona.
              I just don't understand this after so many calls to customer care and emails to them about disconnection and getting confirmation of no dues, i get this call.
              I would urge tikona to take an action on this and let me know if i have to hire an advocate for filing a complaint.

              I have to change the resolution to "Unresolved" from "Resolved" as I am getting the sms and emails again for pending amount even after Tikona had confirmed there is no pending amount and account closure email was received.               Well, I got a call from customer care executive from Tikona and again persuaded to continue with the service. After explaining the whole story of the emails and call discussions, he agreed that there is no pending amount and the connection will be closed.
              After that, 2 days back, again I got a call from some person from Delhi telling he is following up on the discussion from his assistant with regards to the notice on non payment of the Tikona bill. I don't know when this drama will end. Can someone from TIkona provide an email on closure of connection and no dues?
              If I get any call from now onwards, I will have to hire a lawyer and sue Tikona and it's so called Gov't lawyers.

                I am rahul from gurgaon, haryana. Few time back i dont remember i called tikona to terminate my connection i will not be responsible for future bills if came, but they dont terminated my connection, after approx 1 year i got a call from this number [protected] it is of an govt. Advocate states that company filing case against you for unbilled amount. Why i pay to tikona for that i dont used their services

                  Respected sir,
                  my name is t.bhanu chander, i am customer of tikona digital network, i took broadband connection in 2015. since than i am facing services failure problems and unethical customer behavior. my broadband account user id :[protected] my rate plan: HYDBBM4M600. tikona digital network promise me to provide 4mbs speed with 50gb fup limit on every month, but their failure to provide 4mbs speed as their promised in HYDBBM4M600 plan as per the rules and regulations, and i made several calls to customer care to solve the issues but tikona customer care representatives haven't solved my issues. tikona digital networks cheated me for not providing promises services. so i made a services disconnection request on 23/12/2016 through email to [protected]@tikona.in i wont receive any conformation reply for disconnection of my broadband connection from tikona digital networks. i called to tikona digital network customer care representative for requesting disconnections of my broadband connection but representatives not performing and not considering my request for disconnection of services. their simply ignoring my calls and trying to making money illegally by adding improper/fake bills on my account, even after i requested for disconnection of services. i was help less and made this complaint against tikona digital network.

                  i got a email from tikona broadband after a week since my complaint registered regarding my deactivation of service. after a week i got a call from service representative saying as per my request my account had been successfully deactivated. it took 2weeks more to submit their all equipment. i recommend others to file complaints if their suffer from any services problems, of course Indian consumer complaints forum help me a lot. Thank you.

                    I am amitesh and i get tortured by the payment system of tikona. I have already paid rs1686 in month of august for my billing period of month april and may.in the month of june i already requested tikona to terminate my connection. Again in the month of august i requested them to terminate my connection and told them that i have already paid the final bill of rs 1686. Again in the month of september tikona send me the bill amount and after this once again i reminded them that i have already requested tikona to terminate my connection. Instead of replying my message tikona again send me the bill amount of rs 1689 in the month of october and now they are forcing me to pay the bill. I am a student and this is my exam time and due to tikona i am not able to concentrate on my study. Kindly look into my matter and resolve this as soon as possible.

                      I am not living in india from past two years, previously i have used tikona prepaid plan, when i was going abroad i notified them on their customer care that i don't want to continue my services they told me that they will disconnect my services but after one month or so i started receiving e-mail regarding payment even-though my services were prepaid in nature and i was no longer using it. And now tikona so called lawyers are calling my parents at home cellphone and harassing them regularly, i am living outside india i am not able reach them via their customer care. My question to tikona is do you understand the concept of pre-paid service, or just you are here to loot people? How i m being charged when i never renewed my plan? Is this your cust-o-mer (Cust se mer) service ([censored]).

                        I complained of internet not working somewhere in march with tikona reference no 1-[protected] and requested for engineer visit.
                        after many days.. there was no response.
                        then on 9.4.2015 i emailed them again reminding to send engineer.
                        but for almost 2 months nothing has been done. After that finally on 27.6.2015 i emailed them at [protected]@tikona.in to disconnect my services with immediate effect.
                        After this email i got many calls requesting not to disconnect and also promised to waive of bill of these 2 months and a free lookup period of 15 days.
                        i agreed but they have neither waived off my bill nor given any free 15 days period and converted my plan to non rental plan instead of deactivation.

                        i again forwarded same email to them again 8.9.2016 to disconnect my services but nothing happened. they keep generating bills adding 100rs late fee everymonth.

                        i received a call on 8.9.16 also from mr chanchal upadhyay from tikona care at 14.53
                        he promised me to waived off all charges and disconnect my services. i forwarded same conversation to [protected]@ tikona.in also but nothing happened and they keep sending bills.

                        now few days back i think on 19.12.16 i got a call from [protected] a lady threatening me that she is calling from mumbai court and tikona registered a case against you. if you do not pay immediately, you'll get summons and your accounts will be freezed.

                        i was shattered and shocked. i even told her to ask tikona guy to resolve the case. but she threatened me and disconnect.

                        now on 21.12.16 i again got bill..of rs 2100rs aprox which is due to addition of 100rs everymonth ...

                        22.12.16 i got a call from ms priya mehra...saying she is calling from tikona bhandup mumbai office. she told me that she can waive of aprox 1500rs from the bill and you pay 600rs right now and this matter will be solved.

                        i agreed to atleast close this matter. i asked her to send me an email with this confirmation and i'll pay 600rs. she refused saying that your id is in pending status and i can not send email right now. once you pay it'll be active and then i'll be able to send you email. she told me to pay first and then he will send me email and promise to be on phone during this process.

                        i agreed and paid 600rs thru online and she took transaction reference no and gateway ID no. and told me to hold the phone so that she can arrange a confirmation email of closing this case.
                        i kept holding phone for about 15 minutes and after that it was disconnected.

                        i tried calling her..few times it ringing but then it become switch off.

                        i checked my id and found that it is active and on the same non rental plan.
                        my account showing 600rs payment and rs1502 outstanding still as on 23.12.16

                        i felt cheated and i complained it yesterday itself to tikona care with complaint reference no 1-[protected]

                        i tried calling there customer care no[protected] but everytime it says that we have noted your no and we'll call you in 48hrs.

                        what to do now..i do not understand. i felt cheated and frustrated as it is almost a year trying to get it disconnected and solved.

                          I did a payment for tikona on[protected] via paytm, which got failed, however my money got deducted from bank account as well as it did not got reflected into paytm wallet due to failed transaction from "payment.tikona.in"

                          Steps that I did for payment:

                          1) open tikona payment page and select paytm.
                          2) As my paytm wallet balance was 331, paytm asked me to add rest of amount 589 to sum up bill of 920.

                          3) After bank authentication, my money got deducted from bank and I was landed on false webpage of payment.tikona.in

                          Transaction ID: [protected]PAYTM[protected]

                          Till now, I haven't received my refund in bank or paytm account

                          Paytm mobile number : [protected]

                          Please refund my amount and give me detailed transaction information.

                            Hi,
                            This is Aniket Gupta, I'm from Indore and I've been using Tikona Broadband Internet Connection For almost a year, my consumer ID is [protected].
                            I receive my bill on 7th of every month and the last day to pay the bill is around 22nd of that month. Which I've been abiding by every month.

                            Now I had to go to my hometown for three months, and I decided to drop the connection permanently as it didn't make any sense to pay rs.1495(my bill each month for about 120gb/month) for 3 months without even using it.

                            Then through a friend of mine I came to know that there is a provision for keeping the connection on hold on request.

                            So I called the tikona customer care and asked them regarding the holding of connection and they told me that upto 3 months of hold is allowed.

                            So I had to leave on 6 th of July for 3 months and also since every 7 th a new bill gets generated so It was wise to put on hold on 6th only since on th the new bill was to get generated.

                            I called the customercare and asked them again regarding the holding period and the person told me that upto 3 months of hold will be allowed and since I was going for exactly 3 months so I asked them to put on hold for 3 months and I asked them again that I wont be charged a single rupee since it was a full waiver and the person replied positively stating that full waiver of 3 months will be offered and hence they initiated the request.

                            Hence the days went by and on August 1st I called them again to enquire whether everything went as asked or not.
                            Listening to which the executive replied that although it was raised on 6th of july, but the hold was initiated on 10th of july which resulted in generation of bill of month of July.

                            That executive asked me to pay the bill rs 1495 now and that amount will be adjusted when I resume after three months that is in october month I wont have to pay any amount.

                            And so I paid the amount for that month rs 1495, and asked that is now everything happening smoothly?
                            To which I was replied positively.

                            And I was asked to drop a mail when I return in October.
                            So from 6th of July till 3rd of October I didn't use any single byte of the internet.

                            On reaching Indore I asked them via a phone call to resume the connection and adjust the already paid amount of 1495 in the month of october as I was promised.

                            Then the executive replied that my bill had been generated and only the waiver of first month that is July was offered and which wasn't even the full waiver, that is as I was promised full 3 months waiver plus adjustment of the bill amount I paid in july onto the resuming month of october, but when I called them they demanded two months(August & September) of bill and gave me a partial waiver for the month of July and also refused in adjusting the already paid amount.

                            Listening to this I called them almost everyday regarding the issue wasting about 30 min of my time everyday, and getting no resolution, and then they also demanded the bill amount for the month of october also, along with those 3 months of waiver.

                            And hence deactivating my account.
                            I've wasted much of my time calling almost everyday to tikona care but got no resolution.

                            And just today two of my friends got a call from [protected], a lady claimed to be an advocate and bluffed them that they were using the internet along with me and asked them to pay the bill of 1700, even when none of those friends of mine even share a house with me.

                            Hence I would like to raise a complaint against Tikona Broadband regarding false information and misleading a customeron false promises of providing a 3 months of complete waiver and adjustmnet of bill in the next month in which they failed completely, as they asked me full two months of bill and refused to adjust the 1495 paid amount.

                            And also regarding the bluff that was made by the company as they forced my friends to pay the bill by stating that they shared the internet with me, and in reality they even live in the same house as me. Hence blackmailing them to pay against the consumer civil case.

                            I expect refund of my rs 1495 and an apology from the company for misleading me, by provoding the wrong info and false promises and also for bluffing my friend and so that in future they dont behave like this with anybody else.

                            Please help!

I took a broadband connection from tikona and they promised a speed of 4 MBPS but it is only coming 85 Kbps on downloading anything and there is a intermittent connection issue and i am making this complaint to them from the very first day but their is no response from their side and i am asking them to disconnect the connection and refund me the amount, but they are not doing that.

                                I requested for a new Tikona broadband connection. I choose Tikona because there were no other internet service providers in my area in Bangalore. So I my connection paying Rs. 2805

                                The speed was tested by the service man that made the installation. I was able to use my connection for a few days. The speed wasn't good but I was fine with whatever worked.

                                After a few days, I was hardly able to use the network. I had to make numerous calls to the customer care. They always provided some random reason. The network used to work sometimes when I got like really angry at the customer care, Else mostly never worked at all!!

                                The customer care guys are worse. They have no idea of what the customer needs. They always say some other network provider has cut Tikona’s cables by a mistake. Seriously !! So finally I decided to say Good-Bye to this network after failing all attempts.

                                Now i made two attempts of disconnection. I called by the customer care and asked them to disconnect. They also had given me a disconnection ID. Hence I assumed the disconnection was done. However, I keep getting bills month after month and each month an increased bill. I ignored those.

                                Now I get a call from an Advocate from Delhi. She was arrogant and her tone was really really bad. She warned me at any cost I will have to clear my bills with fine else the consequences will be bad. And also I had to appear to court in Delhi. I did not understand why I have to visit a Delhi court when I had taken a connection in Bangalore and the Tikona head office is in Mumbai.

                                I thought it could be a fake call and ignored. However, I now get a notice from an advocate to my house address. I believe that the company is really only trying to make money and cheat customers. This is my worst experience ever for trusting a service.

                                Now I will had to see how to deal with this never ending problem though I have hardly used any service at all! TIKONA makes life HELL

I have not used Tikona Services since March but still they keep sending me bills and not that Advocates and customer service people keep calling me. Today I received a call from Adocate Raghuveer Saha from Delhi demanding Rs. 85000.

                                    I have no idea why this people calling me, I think I need to register a complaint in my local police station.

                                      Tikona Digital Networks - The most distrusted/unworthy/unethical Internet service provide of the 20th century. They have conned so many consumers by providing lowest quality of internet as well as the so called customer care that they provide to their users. At a time when accessibility has become the least of concern for users, we were taken for a ride when we wanted to get rid of the the internet connection. Started by dialing in their customer care where I think their executives are one of the most busiest persons in the corporate world. I must have called them like 10 times a day being on hold for an average of 20-30 mins for at least 15-20 days, however to no avail. After that I sent them a mail on their customer care email id stating that I do not want to continue their services. However like the calls before, this also went unanswered. The company kept on billing me where in I had already discontinued their services, in fact we also called up their local executive to come and disconnect the service. But I guess that is their universal policy - to un-satisfy and harass the customer in all ways possible. After 2-3 months, we started getting calls from their executives asking us to pay the remaining bills and clear the dues. When we tried to describe the situation, no one listened to us. We started getting more of these harassment calls from different numbers. Now they have resorted to the step that their lawyers (Rahul Sharma and Neha Sharma) from Delhi call us up and threaten us that if we don't pay the dues in half hour, we will be filing a case in the court. The lady Neha Sharma even went on to say that you will lose your "Batteesi" once I land up in the court. The kind of affection and attention that we are getting now from the company seems to be of top class where as this is what was required when the users had issues with their network or other problems. There are so many complaints and issues against Tikona in the public space and it is very disturbing to see the fraud and harassment that the company is been inflicting on the common people.

                                        From 3 months am trying to disconnect the broadband connection but you are not disconnecting.
                                        Your service agent says to transfer the connection to friends or relatives. But we don't need the connection as no one is ready to pay the bill.
                                        So, we don't need the connection and please disconnect it, or we will not pay the bill if you kept the connection.
                                        We are disappointed with your service for disconnecting.
