Hello,

I was a Tikona customer (Tikona user ID: [protected]) for more than 4 years. The broadband service provided by Tikona was very pathetic but had to continue for such a long period as there was no other ISP in my area who could provide Wired broadband services.
On Oct 5th 2015 I sent an email to [protected]@tikona.in to close my broadband connection (request number received for the same from Tikona was '1-[protected]') and also asked them to send back a written acknowledgement of service closure. Needless to say the pathetic broadband service ignored it completely and did not even called me to inquire about it. I also sent follow up emails for the same to Tikona on 14th Oct 2015 (request number received for the same from Tikona was '1-[protected]') and 4th Nov 2015 (request number received for the same from Tikona was '1-[protected]'). Till date I have not got any reply from Tikona on my service closure request.

Despite my several request to close the broadband service, Tikona did not stopped my broadband service and kept sending bills every month. From Dec 2015 I started receiving calls from Tikona for bill payment which I refused saying I want a reply from them in written before I pay any bill.
Tikona still didn't replied to any of my email. In Jan 2016 (don't remember the exact date) I got a call from Tikona asking why i want to close the service (after 3 months of raising first closure request). After explaining her all the issues I was facing the customer care representative asked me if i can refer Tikona to any of my friends. This shows how stupid are people in Tikona, they were asking me to refer their service to my friends knowing that i am closing the service in frustration.

Recently i have started receiving threatening calls and emails from Tikona asking me to pay the outstanding bill or they will take legal action against me.
Why should I pay the bills for Tikona's lack of action on my request to stop the services?

Just received a call from Advocate Mr Dipak from Delhi (Mob no. +91 [protected]) notifying that a complaint against me is registered in Delhi court for non payment of Tikona Bill. After searching this number on Google, found out that this calls are made by Tikona employees to harass their customer.

If you are still working on "CPE recovery and full & final calculation of my account" then how can you register a complaint against me? Also note that I have returned all the Tikona equipment (CPE device, Ethernet cable, power adapter etc.). What kind of stupid people you have in your company? How much time do you guys need to calculate outstanding amount of 1 customer? Last response i received from Tikona was on Mar 17th.This shows how pathetic service you guys provide. Buying Tikona's broadband service was the worst decision of my life.
I want this issue to be closed as soon as possible.

    I had submitted my request for stoppage of services and paid all my bills. They said that someone will come to remove it. Then I got a call stating that removing is not required, let it be but you wont get bill.

    Then after 2 month I got a bill of 169 Rs. This month I got 269.

    How can you be so ruthless and irritating?
    I am not using any of your services so why the hell you want to charge me?

    This is insane!

    You are a never-ending vicious circle of money making.

    For God's sake, please disconnect my service.

      I took Tikona broadband and made advance payment of 2520.
      But after 2 months due to network issue Tikona had stopped the service and Tikona technical person told me to disconnect the connection.
      I had disconnect the connection, in month of JAN 2016.

      From last two months am taking follow up but Tikona is not returning my refund
      and in last week tikona sent me a mail about 0 Rs. due from Tikona end.
      TIKONA NETHER PAID MONEY AND NOR CALL ME FOR STATUS UPDATE.

        Others are infinite...


        Since january I am making request after request no resolution till date


        I am paying for 4Mbps plan and getting speed of 1 mbps, 0.8 mbps, 0.2 mbps, 0.1 mbps, 0.4 mbps...


        I mean what the heck... I am a mad or what... have called them several times... they all have just crammed up all the excuses to not to listen to me.


        Dozens of calls stating that issues has been resolved...

        But still Persistent... believe me these people sound too good to believe... but way to cheap... no work no nothing... brand like tikona doesn't sticks to its words... its better to have... 2g plan of Vodafone at least you get what they promise and what you're paying...


        I have lost more 6 gb data January. More than 14 gb data in feb...


        Tikona just sucks...


        I have got the mail id of tikona's directors... I haven't send them any mail... just because they are into Corporate matters not CRM... but it seem all of you people are deaf... last resort will be consumer forum court and director as you people aren't going to work


        And yes I won't be paying a single penny this time until I get proper resolution...

          Person approached to us to provide the lease internet connection with speed 1 MB/S, we are all agreed. They asked 10, 000 INR as non refundable amount and 11, 000 as advance which can be adjusted on monthly payment. we have given as 2 Chq, since initial 10, 000 was given on 8th FEB itself, The person visited the office named Bala promised connection will be up in 7 days and he said he will try to make it happen in 4 days, These all happened on 9th FEB.

          From next week, i am trying to follow them up, when ever i call nobody is giving proper response, then Bala is saying some nonsense like the order was taken in some other name Ranjitha instead of his name, so that we want to follow her.

          then, I started to call her she never pick up, if she pick up the call, she will tell i will inform in 30 mins, but no answer will come

          I made a tons of calls, my call gets redirected but never get an answer. It is been 1 month, no action has taken.

          my communication was to 5 persons, Bala, Ranjitha, other 3 mens not sure their name.

          if they can't provide service i am ok get refund, please help us

            Since last 6 months I am facing frequent internet disconnection issues almost every alternate day at periodic intervals. We have lodged numerous complaints; also met your officials couple of times regarding the same, but it was all in vain as the problem still exists. We have been given a number of reasons for the frequent disconnection.Calling customer care from last 15 days to disconnect my services, each n every time I am told your connection has been closed you will be getting confirmation message in 4hr. but till date I haven't received any of the confirmation of noncontinuous of the services.

              We are using tikona net connectivity from last one year, but I am very sorry to say the service of Tikona network is very bad, and same are there Executive with lot of falls promises.

              17th March was My first complain raised, when i got confirmation call from Tikon for connectivity, I clearly said i will confirm only when I get proper connectivity for 3 to 4 day, but the issue continues as its. I had made more than 5 to 6 complain from 17th also 3 times I spoke to Sr.Desk, I was given lot of falls promises like our senior person will visit, we had forwarded complain for top priority and will be resolve immediately, but the story never end. In last 5th month I had repeatedly made N number of complain but the services of Tikona are not improved, nor the Executive standard of handling the customer.
              Not only your executive but your Sr. Desk are also fooling customer.

              Today I spoke to Pratik but the story remains the same.

              As per Pratik, Sheetal Sr. Desk is from recantation dept. and hence the complaint was not on priority, and he from Tec inaction dept. so he has more power...

              I would request you kindly disconnect the connection immediately on top Priority and refund my amount,

              I think either the treatment given to employees is such that they handle customer with such a bad treatment. Or the quality

                First of all I'm opening a new complaint since there was no response from your side on previous complaint here, http://www.consumercomplaints.in/tikona-fraud-billing-and-unnecessary-calls-and-...

                As I've mentioned in my previous complaint I've called tikona customer care multiple time for termination of my account and collecting your device. Every time you're just saying that we're taking your request on priority but nobody calls me back for collecting the device or terminating the account.
                On other side company keeps on sending me the bill payment reminders and some how bill amount is increases every month even if I'm not using your internet services and asked you to stop the services!
                On top of this now, you've started to send "DEMAND NOTICE" vial Legalcolls and threatening me about legal actions, even when you're in fault.
                I would like to tell you that if you don't stop this all, I'll have to go to consumer court file a legal case for harassing me.

                  I had subscribed for Tikona broadband long back (user ID [protected]). I was facing serious and recurring issues with the connection. Sometimes the speed I was getting was too slow & sometimes it used to get Disconnected very frequently. I had placed so many complaints since 27th January 2016 but no one resolved it. I asked them to waive off the rental and disconnect the connection immediately. they told that they would waive off the unused rental and will resolve the problem asap and asked to observe few days. but nothing happened. I kept calling them whenever I faced issue with the connectivity. but all in vain. on 5th March 2016 I got the call from Tikona executive and I asked them to disconnect the connection so that I can move to some other service provider but they kept insisting me to wait for a week. but I told that this is my final decision and I don't want this connection. Finally on 8th March 2016, I received an email stating that connection is disconnected and they have stopped me charging rentals. However, I would be charged @ 5 Paisa/MB for the usage since 3rd March 2016.

                  my concern is:
                  1. when I asked them to disconnect the connection, it means it should be disconnected rather than converting the connection in to charge as per usage basis.
                  2. if they is it so, it should be communicated to the customer. in this case they didn't tell me this when I asked them to disconnect the connection.
                  3. I got this intimation through email on 8th march 2016, how come I can be liable to pay for the usage since 3rd March 2016.
                  4. I called up customer care on 8th March night, and I was told that the device is still installed in my premises hence I would be charged. when the connection is disconnected, device should be removed immediately. they cannot me charge illegally by giving this stupid reason.
                  5.on 9th March Morning, I spoke to the billing team and the executive was very rude and she said that I have to pay the usage charges.

                  So I want to know that how these bastrads can charge me like this.

                  I am not going to pay single penny and I would not recommend this service provider to anyone.

                    I am Ayan Chakrabortty, I have taken Tikona broadband connection by paying Rs. 1881/-on 6th aug 2015..hardly I have used 6-7 days with pathetic internet connection.
                    I have raised many complaints..

                    No proper action has taken, always gives temporary solutions and says the problem is resolved or will resolve. Will not repeat again.
                    * I already spoke with Senior executives...
                    * Even these senior executives also given false promises...
                    Out of frustration many times I have told them why they are cheating customers and I have told to give my amount return back of Rs.1881/-.
                    after that this process continues without internet/ sometimes excessively slow internet for few minutes...
                    they stop answering/avoiding my call I have written several complaints to Mr. Nair for the last 4-5 months..
                    now they are calling me and demanding/pressuring/torturing me for payment of due amount of Rs.1315.36..
                    thereby I have also send another mail to them I want compensation earlier of Rs.1881/- + harassment charges rs500/-== total Rs.2381/-

                    now regularly their muscle person are calling in the name of some advocate from hhese mobile numbers: [protected], [protected], [protected], [protected],[protected], ... and torturing me..

                    As an innocent customer I seek your help..

                      Dear Sir/Madam,

                      I was using Tikona connection([protected]) a year ago which was closed in March 2015, and everything was settled down by that time. Following actions were done after my connections was closed.
                      1. I was asked to return CPE devices, which was returned to the tikona executive Mr. Vijay (+91-[protected]) and also received receipt from him.
                      2. No any amount due was pending on behalf of my account, which was confirmed by customer care executive but system says 1500 Rs total outstanding balance. When I talked to customer care executive, they said that It was CPE charges which I have already returned. So they said that, request has been taken and It will be removed soon.
                      3. Even after that, I was getting couple of email regarding outstanding balance. When I talked to customer care again, It was said to me that, It is due to system error. Since outstanding amount is displaying on your account, you are getting message. They again said that, I can ignore this kind of email or sms if I receive in future. They also said that, they will correct the error and I will not receive any message/email any more.
                      4. Now a days I am getting continuous harassment and threatening call from different different number saying that I have not paid 1500 Rs. they are threatening me like anything and asking me to come Delhi court.
                      5. I am not getting any response from customer care now.
                      6. I am requesting again and again, if there is any amount which I have not paid, clarify me please. It has been approx a year since my connection was closed.
                      8. Even now, I am receiving threatening calls from these number like ([protected], [protected], [protected] etc) these people are fighting and harassing due to non payment of bill. They are telling that they are calling from court.
                      9. I have all the mail proof and receipt for CPE devices to prove.

                      We are law abiding citizen and respect law. We are expecting protection from harrassment and threatening call by tikona.

                      I would like consumer court look into the issue and resolve.

                      Today again I received an email(refer attachment), message and threatening call from [protected], [protected] & [protected] regarding the same 1500 Rs CPE charges and also message in my mobile. I have already notified customer care that I have returned CPE devices and received receipt. but no one is looking into it.
                      I am a simple guy and never taken even a singe rupee of anyone. With this 1500 Rs, neither tikona will become king, neither I will become begger. I have all the email proof to prove myself that I am right. I request you to kindly look into the issue. I am attaching today's email. Kindly help.

                        Hi,

                        Tikona is looting customer since nobody is paying notice to these kinds of complaints. This has to stop.

                        Tikona is simply robbing its customer by promising something and not providing anything wich is promised.

                        In my case they gave me 1 month package for around Rs1200/- but after 15days o[censored]se they are saying your data plan validity is expired and new month will start. When i called to complaint about this they simply chaining subject and confusing customers.

                        So i request consumer forum to act strictly on these kinds of robbers in country asap.

                          I received a call from [protected] few minutes before, and he talked in Hindi. When I told that I don't understand Hindi and asked him to talk him English, he quoted that 'thum pagal yey kya'. And started abusing me for asking him to talk in English. Will it take time for me to abuse him back? When asked him to talk properly he disconnected the call. If the concerned department doesn't take necessary steps to stop this kind of activity, it will result in loss of good customers. Already lost one. Take good care.

                            I am T.S.Kishore Srivathsan residing at mogappair east, chennai. I availed for Tikona broadband connection during the month of January, 2016 and I opted for the Rs.850/- plan. Upon making the initial subscription and several calls, Tikona sent a service engineer who came for the installation of the same. His mobile number is [protected] with the True caller ID name Sasi dharan. The person who attended calls during subscription contacted me with the number [protected]. The service engineer instructed that the installation charge was Rs.750/-, but if the payment was done for 3 months in advance, the installation charge will be discounted to Rs.200/- or so. Thus, considering his suggestion, we asked the total amount to be paid and paid an amount of Rs. 2805/- online on 10-Jan-2016.
                            Then, on 26-feb-2016, I am getting a bill amount of Rs.471.18/- in my user ID:[protected]. When i called the customer care immediately after the receipt of bill, the person who attender me was Mr.Ajith and he said he will make a refund within 1 week. Since i did not receive any amount till date, I again called the customer care and the caller said me that i should have paid an amount of Rs.3200\- which includes the 14% tax amount and so i was not eligible for the plan.
                            This information was not told initially by the person who attended me during the subscription, the service engineer or the customer care person who attended me initially. This clearly says that the fault is with the Tikona officials. I am heavily frustrated by this service and so, in order to rectify this in a professional manner, kindly send me the extra tax amount that i should have paid earlier so that i can make the remaining settlement now. And kindly make me eligible for the plan. That is, till 10-Apr-2016, I should not receive any usage bills according to the plan.

                              To Whosoever concerned,

                              My name is Gaurav Kotian, a resident of marol, Andheri east, Mumbai 400059. I had a Daily needs store in Marve road, Andheri, Mumbai - 400072 for which I needed an internet connection. I contacted Tikona Digital Networks, and got a connection set up and received an email confirmation with subject 'Your Tikona Secured Wireless Broadband subscription receipt'' on 20 May 2015.

                              Post this, I have diligently payed all of the subsequent bills and had no issues with their service and customer care, which was good in my opinion then

                              The last payment I've made to them was on 25 August 2015, for Rs.631. I do not remember the exact date, but I had closed my shop, and the last payment mentioned above was the last month I had used the account(barely as I had no need for it anymore).

                              I had asked for a termination via transfer of ownership to my neighboring shop, right beside me as they just opened and needed an internet connection too. I called Tikona SEVERAL times in regard to this and so did the person to whom it was to be transferred to; we were given several false promises of 2pm today and 3 pm tomorrow for several days ; there was never anybody who contacted us, or visited.

                              In my memory at least 2 weeks prior to the next bill cycle date. Unfortunately I do not have any recordings of those phone calls as I never had a problem with this company; I usually do record. I warned them around a week after we first tried the transfer of ownership - I was also very angry as I was under a lot of pressure at the time, and had to deal with this petty issue; for which my neighbor too decided to get another connection from another provider.

                              I called them and told them TWICE on call to cancel my account and that it is the Companies lookout and responsibility if the day passed to another month as I have already told them clearly either transfer or terminate completely. I then got even more busy and I needed to get on with my life away from the losses of the store closing; I no longer used the Shop email address [protected]@gmail.com on which i used to receive emails from Tikona; for obvious reasons.

                              I got more phone calls ONLY pertaining to bill payments; and that they see I am making no usages on the account; and asking if I can inform them as to why I am no longer paying bills and using the service. I lost my cool at that point and told them in CLEAR words, I have paid my last bill, and asked for either transfer or termintion - if you have done it - great, if not it's your responsibility. He told me that the equipment that I have in my possesion needs to be returned; I said I have been asking you to take it back (it was attached to the 13th floor terrace of the building in which my shop was located) as I cannot dismantle it and deliver it to your pathetic organization; if the agent from Tikona NEVER arrived; how is it my fault? The agent told me that the account will be terminated, and i an ignore the emails. This is true and I wish I had recorded that call. I then never attempted to check my old email address; as I thought the issue is resolved.

                              Just to be SURE, I sent an EMAIL saying the same thing - I have it with me as proof. This was sent on 9 October 2015.

                              Now around the beginning of February or end of January 2016, I do not remember exactly, I get a phone call from 'Delhi court'; from someone who claimed to be a lawyer; and that Tikona has a case raised against me for non payment of bills. He spoke to me rudely, cutting me off when I tried to explain and literally yelled 'kya aapne X amount bhara hai'? I thought this was a ridiculous attempt from someone from the company; hung up and left for work. I was not going to take anymore rubbish from them.

                              Then I get no communication until 4th March (around that date) from a lady named Neha Sharma; who again claimed that the case is raised and if I wish I can provide evidence and fight this is court; I agreed and said I have email evidence of the communication; and that I received no '7 DAY NOTICE'.

                              I got a call again from Neha on 7 March 2016, asking for confirmation that I wish to continue with legal proceedings; and she spoke about this case going to ÇIBIL.

                              I know that I've just applied for a passport, and the appointment is on 9 March, and that I do NOT want any legal proceedings or ratings issue with CIBIL ( I'm not very knowledgable on this matter, but it sounded bad for me). I asked her what are my options, other than the legal proceedings, she said its up to me, if I wish I can pay the remainder amount - late fees and bill for ALL these months and give her the transaction ID within 30 minutes or the case will go through.

                              I checked my old email address and found a Legal comms from Tikona on January 2 2016. It mentions calls attempted and texts sent to pay bills were ignored, hence the matter is in court. I request them to provide proofs of these so called calls and messages. And also ask why my email dated 9 October was ignored and NOT answered.

                              I was at my wits end, tired as I was sleeping after my long night shift at work; and I was wondering what to do, I decided to use my credit card and pay it off; and then fight the case with Tikona, and make a NOTE that I've payed in PROTEST. I paid Rs.1987 (due was Rs1986.1) just to be sure; I am already in debt and VERY upset over this matter. I called Neha and gave her the transaction ID ( [protected]TPC[protected], she said you can fight it after the payment is done, and now that it is done she will send me en email confirmation by 2PM that all legal proceedings will stop and no new bills will be generated. I got no email. I called her again and she didn't answer. It is now 2:15PM as I write this.

                              I am very very very angry and upset over this; and I will fight it with the help of a solicitor within the family; I want that money back, with damages for all the pain they put me through. I hope this forum can do any justice that can be done for the average consumer(not just me) and if loser companies like this can get away with totally unprofessional actions like this, I do not have much hope with out system.. If not I will take this forward all the way I can.

                              I have attached the Legal comms screenshot as well.

                              If Tikona is listening; kindly refund the entire amount or expect legal actions from my Laywer. This is entirely your fault and I expect an apology with that refund.

                              I didn't ask for a confirmation that the account is closed, I asked for an explanation, apology and refund. If any of the above are not done, I will consider contacting my lawyer to serve a notice to you. I have called your CX care today, and got a promise of a 24 hour time frame to get a call back on this issue - complaint number - 1-[protected]. I am very serious, it's not about the money, but justice; if there is no proper action taken, I will make sure you face the music that I am very much capable of giving you.

                                  This company is a cheat. The representative showed me a demo with 4MBPS connection and during the demo the internet was working great with a download speed of 3.5 MBPS. Based on this I booked a new connection (4mpbs) and paid 3 months advance. AFter that my horrible experience started and a was not able to loging every day unusual errors. Some times, it connected but see horrible speed. I called for sisconenction with in a week. Not disconnected and they are sending bill for payment.

                                  Even after repeated calls they are not disabling the connection. I guess the tikona executive is selling the information to outside world for some cheap money. I am also sending email to CEO prakash.[protected]@tikona.in‎; I realized that still consumers dont have any rights in India. This is my horrible experience in my life time. Please don't try the internet connection given by this company they know how to cheat & frustrate the customer only. The customer care of tikona is world's worst service I ever seen.

                                    Complain no -1-[protected].

                                    As per company policy, they took 6 month advance, however from january onwards we r not able to get internet n called n mailed 100 of times, however each time they start for 5-10 min n same story.

                                    So we r asking to terminate internet service, n pay back dues since, we paid 6 month advane.

                                    however till date, neither tikona resolved issue, nor terminated internet n generating bills.

                                    this is worst business generating strategy, provide net or leave it..why stretching n daily we have to follow up with them.

                                    We really need to resolve this.

                                      My Tikona Connection booked on 19/05/2015 via cheque no 183022 dated 19/05/2015. Total Cheque amount is Rs.2247/- ie two months advanced rent.
                                      After taking connection the line started to give problems after a month. Frequent login problems and not at all working atleast half a day everyday.
                                      Totally dissatisfied by the connection including poor customer care support, Before the end of the second month I made disconnection request...
