I have a Vodafone connection and I keep getting unsolicited messages regarding tips, jokes etc. These are not messages but appear on my screen. It is taking up a lot of battery life and i am forced to continuously charge my phone. My fully charged battery because of the messages doe snot even last half a day. It is very annoying. Vodafone is a nuisance. Please tell me how i can stop this from happening!

we get this tips messages and alerts some accidently activated and when we de activate it i was informed that it will take another 45 days to implement it
why the hell it should take that long when we activate it starts ASAP but not the other way round

    I myself Ananda Bijoy Dutta holder of Mob No:[protected] don't want to continue my post paid connection,i told this to vodafone customer care executives but they donn't take any steps rather they force me to continue my post paid connection,
    But I do not want to continue this i want to change my connection from postpaid to prepaid but the number i used remains unchanged.

    I therefore request you kindly to look into this matter as early as possible from next month onwards i want to continue my connection in prepaid mode not in post paid mode.I need your console regarding this matter.

    Vodafone — Migration from prepaid to post paid connection

    I have applied for migration of my prepaid Vodafone connection into post paid connection. I have given all documents to vodafone representative Mr. Manish ([protected]). Now he told me that my address verification is negative while no body has come to my residential address for verification.

    It is very irretating. His representative has not provide any information.

    If they can not provide the services, they must fired from their job.

    Vodafone Postpaid — migration of connection into prepaid

    dear sir,
    i ve vodafone post paid connection i want to migrate into prepai due to exceessive bill payments. i wish mt next billing cycle would not start .but the whole vodafone team i s not willing to help me.

    i want to migrate from my postpaid connection to prepaid connection with out changing the number so i went to vodafone store nobody helped me and said its not possible, can u help me???
    usually any verification agent from any operator no matter treats you like a terrorist and any minor deviation ( just sitting in formal clothes in your home) makes them interpret as u are cheating (as you have masters degree in Cheating according to them) and take the worst action against you with out any hesitation.
    the same happend to me with with airtel long back. i cried foul with no use ultimately switched to another operator .
    Moral of the story
    if thing go well every thing is fine, else better to dump him and join the other one, as he doesnt do good to you but you can overcome that porblem easisu with our struggle in vain.

      I Anup Kumar Kirti had activated internet on my blackberry with a plan of Rs. 249 rental per month with 15kb per paisa as download charge 5 days before ( on 14th April 2010 ) & deactivated the same on 19th April 2010. The plan which I activated on my blackberry was suggested by Vodafone customer care & blackberry customer care but they did not intimated me that this plan is too expensive or the details about the plan sold to me. Yesterday on 19th April 2010 I received the message that my unbilled amount stands Rs. 23912/- which exceeds my credit limit of Rs. 15000/- & I have to pay the said amount immediately to get uninterrupted services.
      As of now my outgoing has been deactivated.
      I had used internet services hardly for 1:30 hrs then how come that Vodafone can charge such a huge amount from the customer. I am using the no. ( [protected] ) a postpaid connection which is a corporate connection issued to me by my company Johnson Controls India Pvt. Ltd.
      My concern is that customer care should guide the consume properly with all the details of the plan so that the customer must be well aware about the plan which he is going to take. Why should a customer suffer due to the fault of customer care ?

      Hence I request you to look into matter & resolve issue & activate my outgoing services.
      I don't deny to pay the actual amount for using the internet for 1:30 hrs on my device.

      Promptness in this regard will be highly appreciated.

        A representative Hemal Kotak visited us on 3rd April 2010 and offered us a very cheap plan for my existing family plan vodafone post-paid connections.

        Once we agreed to change the plan he said to get this activated we need to buy 5 new post paid connections and took a cheque of 1750/- 350/- per card for activation.Also he said once we pay the first bill we can claim for the free gift and de-activate those cards.we have taken new sim cards , paid 1st bill , send courier for gifts but yet OUR PLAN IS NOT CHANGED.he had said tht new plan will be activated from the day itself.

        Now the representative does not attend our calls and also handsover to some of his assistants. Also he just assures us that the new plan will be activated which is not yet activated even after 2 billing cycles.

        kindly take this as a serious issue as this is a serious case of cheating.

          i did not make any ISD call from my no. and in my postpaid bill i have been charged Rs 10 in march and Rs 225 on 16th may.
          i contacted at 198 and e-mailed them but no satisfactory answer is provided. if my no is hacked in this condition this is a security concern for me and country. n if it is not then they have charged me unnecessarily.

              I have a plan called VMC 899 activated on my Vodafone Postpaid number [protected]. When I got the plan activated, I was promised unlimited Internet browsing and downloading for a month. Within 10 days, the unbilled amount shot up above my credit limit and my outgoing calls were barred. I talked to the Customer Care Executives but in vain. Then I wrote to the nodal officer who assured me that this will not happen in the future. But after about 10 days, the same problem reappeared and again my outgoing calls were barred. This time, the nodal officer asked me to pay some amount in advance so that my credit limit is increased. I paid some amount through cheque. My services were again barred after 10 days of paying advance. The reason cited was that my usage exceeded the credit limit. When I received the bill I found out that Vodafone had charged me Rs.899 as per the VMC 899 plan for two months, i.e., April-May and May-June. When I talked to Customer Care Executives, they again asked me to make a payment and said that we charge 1 month advance rental for VMC plan 899. This was not told to me earlier, not by the Vodafone Mini Store, neither by the Customer Care Executives nor by the nodal officers when I initially inquired about the plan. I was further threatened that my services will again be barred if I did not pay the amount because my usage has exceeded the credit limit. Although the due date for payment of bill is 11th June and my billing date is 23rd of each month, I am forced to shell out money while Vodafone does not address my complaint. The only reason that usage is exceeding the credit limit is the extra Rs.899 that they have charged as advance, something I was never told about. Please HELP!!!

                I and my partner are vodafone customers with a corporate plan(postpaid). We both have the same CUG plan provided to us by the company i.e Accenture and the plan is Accenture 150 plan with a monthly rental on Rs 150. Everything was fine till the last 2.5 years, but the last month i.e april 2010 we both were charged 99 extra for an additional package which is (STD for 50 paise).Now 1st of all we havent asked for this package to be added and also we dont make any STD calls.So why will I add a package which I dont use. Also I was not aware of the addition of this package till I got my bill (they say that send sms when they add something but we didnt get any SMS as well).Also the Vodafone representative in my office was not aware of this.
                This was completely unacceptable and when I called them on 111 they were 1st of all not able to find who added the package and how come it got on my bill and second of all they themselves did not know what to do. Then these so called happy to help cheats did what they do best i.e release the call, and this happened the next time as well. I was then completely furious and directly spoke with disconnections to disconnect my services. I spoke to a guy called sujeet from disconnections who assured me that he will remove the extra service will refund the Rs 99 but that didnt happen.Also my partner went to a vodafone mini store in Bhandup named Shreeji plus and spoke with Mr Amrit and that cheat told her that he will disconnect the extra service and will refund Rs99, but when she recieved her next bill i.e May 2010. She neither recieved the credit nor was the extra package removed.
                So she called so called Happy to help on 16th may (service registration no[protected], she was told that they will remove the package but they will not give the credit ( now it was for 2 months). She then requested to be transferred to disconnections but again they released the call. I then went the next day i.e 17th May 2010 to vodafone store in Bahayander and again had to explain the entire story to an executive named Disha and to be honest she had no clue what was going on the account and how the charged was added. As an agent who has no knowledge about the process she called the guy sitting next to her whose name is Vimal. and he was searching treasure in the system and took good 15 mins to tell me that they have no idea how this was added on our account, but as all executives are trained (to be polite), he told me that he will definitely remove the package but about the credit he will have to send a mail and will get back to me in 72 hrs, but as we all know these cheats, that never happened.
                But i still waited patiently till 25th May 2010 as that was the replying time mentioned for the service registration number. And then I finaly gave them a call and spoke to a guy called swapnil on 198 and guess what, he released the call as well. I called again on 198 and spoke with a guy called mushtaq who told that the package will be changed but no credit will be applied for a fault from their end. Then I spoke with a guy from disconnections whose name is Samshuddin and was trying to retain me as he knew that I was going to disconnect two connections i.e my and my partner's. He then said that we cant do anything but cant give me a credit of Rs 50 instead of Rs 198 that I was charged. What does vodafone think that I am a beggar? Being a customer whose issue is not sorted from past 2 months, I had full legal right to speak to a manager but even for that he kept me on hold and then came and told me that his manager is busy and will cal me in 24 hrs, but guess what as usual that did not happen. Now its well above 24 hrs and still no call. If Vodafone cheats educated people this way then only god knows how much thay cheat people who dont know anything about the bill.They (So called Customer care executives) only know to release the calls when they come up with a complicated bill query.
                I just hope that someone takes a look into the matter or I will be left with no choice but to disconnect 2 corporate connections and I strongly feel that other providers (other than vodafone) can provide me with better service.

                Vodafone — Incorrect Billing and Pathetic Customer Support

                This is with regard to the pathetic customer service and unfair treatment meted out to us by Vodafone who have taken our company for a ride by falsifying information and not living up to their commitments. This has resulted is a number of grave inconveniences to our business and personnel of our organization. We have been charged incorrectly for every service that we have availed with them, calls, sms's, data usage and monthly rentals and no amount of follow-up or requests over the past three months have given us one day of recluse. They made promises to us from day one to ensure that we sign up for their services and have not lived up to a single one of them. We have been with Vodafone from 12th of December and in only three months have had so many issues with them that it is literally impossible for me to pen down here. I only want all the issues to be taken care of immediately so that we may avail the mobile portability option and be rid of such a lame and pathetic international organization with no basic professional and moral ethics. I am copying the email I sent to Vodafone to explain what it is that we have been going through with them prior to this complaint to give a brie[censored]nderstanding of the trauma and frustration we have been through in the last three months. I am unable to attach the bills due to format restrictions but if I could be provided with an alternate email address to send them I would be happy to.

                Hello everyone,

                I would like each of you who received this email to go through each and every word to understand the complexity and seriousness of the issue. Please bear that this email is after a LOT OF deliberation and continuous and innumerable follow-ups with many of you at Vodafone. I do not even have the words or emotions left in me to express my extreme dissatisfaction and disgruntlement regarding the pathetic and moronic (non) support I have received from Vodafone in barely three months of my association.

                I have attached the bills sent to me by you, modifying and explaining where and how you have screwed up in more ways than one even after repeated begging you all to rectify those mistakes. Not having done that, we ended up paying you more than we were suppose to towards incorrectly charged rental, call, sms and GPRS charges for each and every Goddamned number we have subscribed with you for.

                I do not have the energy nor the patience to state each and every communication/requests I have placed with you (and I have sent innumerable ones) to explain the situation to you but on the other hand I am also sure that each of you reading this email is already aware of all of them since we have been corresponding via phone, sms and email almost everyday since the day we made an association with Vodafone. To state the most smallest and pitiful reasons of my gross experience with your company is that you have not even been able to send me ONE (*****) EMAIL (that I have requested from each of the persons I was dealing with) that stated the complete details of the package we have taken from you from the official email ID to save it in the records as this is a Corporate CUG connection. PATHETIC!

                We too are an organization, and this experience has only made us become aware of a customers plight and I personally have taken this as a positive thing to ensure that none of our customers ever go through even a percent of the ordeal I have gone through with you!!!

                NOW: THIS IS WHAT WE DEMAND BE DONE IMMEDIATELY BEFORE WE TAKE A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST YOU!

                - Cross check the details in the bills attached vis-a-vis to the charges that were given to us TILL DATE incl current generated bill( for each and every **** call, sms and data usage charges)
                - Correct/rectify them.
                - Refund every paisa that was charged to us OR if after the correct charges are levied and we still have to pay you (which I feel is not possible) then let us know with detailed information for each call, sms or data usage accounted for so that it is taken care of.
                - Once this is done I want to avail the Mobile portability option as we would complete our 90 ***** pathetic days with Vodafone on 14th March 2012 and would like to switch over to an even more screwed-up (I am sure) service provider.

                WE WANT THIS DONE IMMEDIATELY (before 14th March 2012). Any delay from your end would mean more usage and non-payment of funds to your company if we do owe you any after the tally is done.

                Please note that is this is not done I will simply move to a different service provider and obtain new numbers and you can forget about the balance of the bills that have to be paid to you. It will be a little bit of an issue to change our numbers in such a short time but I am sure it will be a lot less ordeal than to deal with your ****** up company! I cannot even begin to express the frustration and mental agony I have been through with you all, so much so that I feel like throwing up every time I think about it. This is the worst of all my experiences in regards to customer service in my entire life and each and everyone of you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

                  My father have purchase a vodafone prepaid connection for our sister studing in ITM,Bhilwara one month ago from a mini store named MDS Digilink,after a week the company close the outgoing calls and in the next four days there is also incoming.the reason tell by customer care requried docoments not submitted i mailed to vodafone raj. For the same,the answer was re submit the reqd docoment at any vodafone store.On tuesday 24/9 my father re submitted the all docoment at vodafone store frezer road,Patna and they commeted that within 24hour the connection will be activeted but alas till now the connection is not active.we also complaint vodafone store patna as well as cusomer care raj.through phone and mail several time but there is no any answer.CAn the company bear all the mental stress given by him to our faimly member.

                  This is just to inform everyone about the Vodafone connection & associated services in Bangalore (at the very least).

                  I had taken a Vodafone Prepaid Connection on 28th Sep from the Vodafone Online store with Recharge of Rs 206 which promised me a call charge of 1p/sec for both local & STD.

                  Hardly one month from taking this new connection, there have been major gaffes by Vodafone, some of which I am mentioning below:

                  1. My Plan of 1p/sec was changed to a student plan offering calls at Rs 1.5/min for STD. When I called up their call center they were not willing to accept their mistake & change it back. Instead they told me to get a further recharge done to change my plan to 1p/sec. Also, I never received any message as to when my plan was changed.

                  2. Their call center had informed me to activate a GPRS plan via *444#. I followed their instructions & activated the required plan. However, it seems, it did not getting activated in the system. So they continued to charge me their exorbitant browsing rates. Again, when I called the call center they were unwilling to acknowledge their mistake & asked me to recharge again.

                  3. I also asked the call center to activate the missed call alert service. They activated it & deducted money from my account. However, when I informed them that the service was not working then (surprise, surprise) they again tried to blame me for the same, telling me that I need to check again.

                  Meanwhile conveniently, my access to their call center kept disappearing (dialing to their call center got me into a loop with their IVR).

                  Ref complaint #'s: [protected] & [protected]. I never received any complaint no's for my other issues.

                  Vodafone is taking advantage of complexity in our Consumer Protection System. With Pre-Paid, once you activate the caller tune, it will have no option to de-activate. Even if you find any option, that will not work.

                  Secondly, do not go with any free offers from Vodafone, they simply trap you, and charge bills on it, and they will not accept any of their faults. They are just thieves.

                    Hi I Jagdish naik cell no [protected] visited ur shop opp. to vashi rly station for converting my postpaid bill to prepaid. Sorry i had to wait for atleast 2 hours. than Mr rakesh attends me a lousy person till now the job has not been done. If this is the case i will have to change all my staff nos. Sorry u may loose a valuable customer. It will reaily make me a differance. I do not no about u guys. Anyways thank u for ur wounderful service.

                      Dear sir /Madam
                      I have purchased new handset model No. VF-527(MAGIGC BOX MPGS) Sl. No. [protected] from your vodafone store Bhopal MP Nagar on dated 19/04/2010.The following complaints are found in the handset from the date of purchase.
                      1. voice is not clear & audible at either end.
                      2. Functions are too much slow like hanging condition.
                      3. Battery Back up is less than 1/2 an hour talk time
                      In this regard I have contacted several times to your authorized Rep. Mr. Sameer Siddiqui Mob. No. [protected] at Bhopal, but I am not getting any positive response from him.

                      Hope you will take initiative in this matter.

                          I am a serving Junior Commissioned Officer in Indian Army working for 18 years. I have been purchased vodafone sim (Prepaid) from a retail shop in gorpadi village, Pune district, by the time i purchased the sim i had submitted my documents which includs serving certificate with photo id duly attested by an officer with round seal as well. According to retail shop (Mobile solution centre gorpadi) my documents were rejected since service no was not mentioned in the certificate, by the time i recharge my phone with an amount (300+) and was using it, very next day after its rejection i rectified the mistake and resubmitted the same to the retail shop further to mr Ashok by the retail shop owner for onward submission to concern. After waiting for 20 days i got fedup with all above i personally (third time as a whole) once again submitted my docu at Vodaphone office at camp, pune particularly Mr Sachin on 17th May 2010 and i was promised to get my problem solved with in two working days accepting my documents all correct. When i approached him even after four days i.e on 20 May 2010, he started searching for my documents and after some time said, there was some over writing on my PIN number. He once again asked for new application. Ok i again submitted (fourth time) my documents in return he promised me 100% it will activate on same night but till date 23 May 2010 my SIM is not activated. i am asking to the cocern is this the way to dealwith a consumer? Such irresponsible should be treated properly.

                          Vodafone — refund of prepaid amount on rejection documentation

                          I applied for a prepaid vodafone connection giving doccumentation of Pan card as id proof and ICICI bank savings account as address proof. I was given prepaid no [protected]. which was activated so I recharged with a value of Rs 305/-. abount a week later the outgoing calls were stopped and I was again asked to provide address proof. being a defence personnel i donnot have address proof from Mumbai like ration card, telephone bill, electricity bill or driving licence or passport giving a Mumbai address due to our transferable jobs an average of every 3 to 5 years. I submitted a certificate signed by an officer of the rank of Captain( Joint Director Equivalent). This too was not acceptable to the company at the vodafone store near churchgate station. I there fore would like the company to refund my balance amount as it is they who have blocked my connection a week after activation.this has caused a lot of inconvienience to my friends, colleagues, seniors as I had given this as my contact no. Can some kind soul also educate me on the legal remedies available against the company as there must be many individuals like me whom the company has cheated in this manner. Besides is there any one who has been able to access their website . Thank you and expecting areply

                            I have got a message that 30 rupees have been deducted from your balance for the activation of bhakti alerts on my number [protected].
                            This has happened for the fourth time and has been faced by lot of vodafone users.
                            Kindly look into the matter and help me getting my balance back this time and avoid such inconveniences to users cauased by these opearators.

                            Vodafone — Deduction without consent

                            Sir,

                            I have a Vodafone prepaid connection with MSISDN - [protected]. This is to inform you that without my consent/activation, some combo pack has been activated in my a/c & Rs 2 is getting deducted since 28th of Aug,2010 and more than Rs 50 has been deducted from my a/c since then. Today when i called up your customer care @ 198, they were not even ready to lodge a complain of the same & had put me on hold for more than 15 mins for all the 4 call made and were very rude.

                            I would request you to pls get the refund of all the charges deducted to my a/c at the earliest as no such pack had been activated from my end ever & also educate your customer care executives to speak properly to the customers (Refer the call recordings done from my no above at your cust care.)

                            Expecting a quick resolution to the above matter.

                                i have been trying to log in to the vodafone page using the id and password they provided, but still its not accepted... this is one of the worst sites i have ever visited.. no synchronozation at all... 1 page aks you to start from the first page, while the other does not accept your id in that page and ask you to move to 2nd page... whereas it is not possible to move to 2nd page without filling up the 1st one... how can such a company create such a worthless site,... horrible... don't know how to serve the customers well...

As I requested for my email updation and bill details for both the numbers. but recently my email is updated in my First number, but they have cut my outgoing and incoming calls for my second number . Without seeing my bill details of the both the numbers paying bill is not possible. now registering in vodafone website for my second number it is verry difficult, because there is no service. when we contact customer care there response is verry poor, Please do the needfull.

                                    My name is K.S. Bhatia and I have Matrix vodafone connection vide phone no.[protected] which was on a two years advance rental plan and the duration of two years expired in the month of October,2009. Since then I have made several attempts to get the connection disconnected but I am afraid that all my attempts failed and instead to my surprise the Company Matrix is sending the monthly rental bill to me. You are therefore requested kindly get my connection disconnected and save me from further harrasement as I am not using the same since Octobner 2009.

                                      I had brought a Vodafone Esser Sim card on 15th May, 2010 from a nearby vodafone retailer. The Telephone line was activated as soon as I took the line.But it was disconnected on 17th May, 2010 because according to them I didn't submmitted the document within three days from the day of purchase. But I had submitted the document only on 16th May, 2010 to the retailer. My telephone line is still not activated.

                                        i am mukesh and my vodafone no [protected]. i,ll recharge rc 96 to take unlimited internet on mobile. first 5 day i'll not use internet then i'll call customer care then he say technical problem in sever, then atfer 5 day internet connect in my mobile now internet not work properly.all the messanger and other internet service not work then call customercare anyone not anwser properly and gose to hold after not to talk with me. last time i'll call to customer care 18th may time 7:30 pm then i talk with mr schin and i'll say my problem then his answer pls hold and 29 minute and not to talk with me
                                        its really painful for me to think that vodafone works this way.
                                        Please can someone look into this.

                                        I have recharged my vodafone a/c by Rs. 21 Inter net pack on 24/04/2013. But my area Dulduli has no internet connection for my vodafone no. My no. is [protected]. When I have contacted vodafone customer care and said to launch a complain, the customer care executive officer disconnected my call and now I can not contact to customer care from my vodafone no. please take a step very soon and extend my inter net pack validity.
