Pathetic customer service at vodafone store (esp. Rajiv Chowk) and vodafone customer care. i have going again and again to them just for the disconnection of my postpaid no. but they are so pathetic that they always try to divert from the core issue and just pass on you to the next person or tell you to call customer care. When i call customer care they tell me to go to vodafone store. it has been two weeks since i am trying for disconnection of my no. , When its time sell new connection they will call us frequently and welcome us at store for same but when you go for disconnection or refund they treat you as a overhead.
The vodafone store at Rajiv chowk metro station is one of the worst i have seen , ppl there dont have proper knowledge about anything they keep forwarding from one desk to another and takes hours to attend a customer. Very disappointed by the level of customer service. i swear never to use Vodafone mobile service in my life again and also tell my friends to avoid Vodafone.

Vodafone — Disconnection for their mistake

Since 4-5 years i was using Prepaid Vodafone Connection. As my usage is big, the executive called me and asked me to change to Post paid and after my consent sent one executive Naresh to my office for the docs and he explained the plans and suggested to go with P2P its a Prepaid to post paid conversion. He told that if i want i can take new no. with no extra charge else continue the same no. for post paid and promised that he shall give 15 no.s from where i need to select one of my choice. called me at 9.00 PM while i was in a conference and asked to take the no.s, but i asked him that i shall take them later and inturn called him by 9.30 PM, but couldnt reach him. after two days one executive came to me and asked to sign and showed a no. as it is alloted to me.But i never choosed that no. and denyed to sign.later tried to contact Mr. Naresh but failed no. of times.and later went to Nagarjuna circle Vodafone store and complainted, later my prepaid was changed to post paid with the same no. and it got activated from 28th Feb.as my billing date is 8th everymonth i got a bill of 882.00, which includes a new tarrif plan for std and an addition of 250 rs for no. change.and the billing is from 26th Feb.i spoke to SR Nagar store and compainted on 16th march and after two days the executive in the store said that the Manager Mr. GOPI told me to pay 417 rs after discounting the extra billing and i paid it on the same day.but till today the deduction is not reflected in the total bill and i repeatedly spoke to Callcenter for not less than ten times. every time they told that it l get resolved in 24 working hrs but till now my outgoing has been barred for 6 times.everytime i went to store and reactivated it and the immediate next day i got barred.
This is a horrible experience in the very first month of taking the connection.no one feels responsible in Vodafone.everyday when ever i am busy one exective will call me and tell me that my credit limit is exceeded but wont look at resolution.
I am vexed with this service of Vodafone and wanna change the operator.
I am very much irritated by the call center to pay the interim payment.
i am being harresed by the department at my busy hours.
My connection got disconnected for 6 times till now.
I am forced to look at the alternative operator.
My name is Basheer Ahmed

i faced same problem, i have pre paid connection yestrday my account balance was 6 rupees i started browsing as vodafone people told me browsing is free, then free downloads will not cost a single paise. i started downloading games which are free after downloading games i checked my account balance its showing -352 rupees .. they are simply cheating me

Vodafone — Pathetic(to the core!) Customer Care

Never would have people imagined that fixing a caller tune for their mobile was the worst crime to commit, being a Vodafone customer. The entire fixing process would go this way:
Step 1: You receive a pre-recorded voice message from Vodafone giving you a set of songs to select from as your caller tune.
Step 2: You, as usual, get irritated and disconnect the call.

ATTROCIOUSLY, even disconnecting the call (as per the provisions of Vodafone's Law!!!) amounts to "Selection of the song" and 45 solid bucks are swiped off from your credit without your consent. After realizing that my account has been implicitly drained, I call up the customer care to sort this issue.

The fantastic reply from the customer care executive (the brat which called itself as Arun Kumar) for this blunder from Vodafone’s side goes this way: "Vodafone is 200% sure that we don’t commit a mistake (Woh!!!). The caller tune was provided to you only upon request (customer cutting the call was a request??!!). For further queries, you need to talk to our supervisor and even if you talk to our supervisor, he would give you the same reply!”
The guy was making his supervisor's decision as well.

My call was put on hold... and was never connected to the so called "Supervisor". The entire conversation of nearly 15 minutes proved to be FUTILE!!! What was more ridiculous was the way in which the executive handled my complaint. He was not even willing to consider the fact that an error MIGHT have occurred at Vodafone's end. In addition, I was also being told by the customer 'care' executive (Well, I wonder if he really cared!) that never would Vodafone credit back the customer the amount which it has charged. (Even if the fault is on VF's part?!!)

And, after all these, I get a message from Vodafone asking for the feedback of the entire conversation. I’m required to reply to the ‘Toll free number’ as to how much I was irritated??!!!
Dealing with pre-recorded voices is much a simpler task rather than dealing with such 'Insane, Illiterate (well, an educated need not be necessarily a literate) and Irresponsible" Customer Care ppl. (Wherever you go, Vodafone’s stupidity follows!!)

Vodafone — Disconnection for Vodafone's mistake

I have Vodafone connections for which i had been paying the bills by ECS. as the ECS is registered with the bank with proper details, the bills go from Vodafone/its bankers directly to my bankers and gets debited from my account. This month (April) vodafone/ iyts bankers ICICI had sent the ECS details with error in the name. As this mismatches with the registered information my bankers had rejected the payment. This was promptly brough to the notice of Vodafone care by phone calls as well as email, asking them to represent with correct information. Inspite of this, Vodafone, instead of verifying their details of billing request, high handedly disconnected the service. They make mistakes at their end and penalise their consumers for Vodafones mistake. From the vodafone phone, i am not even able to call their customercare - complaints as all calls are blocked ... the stupidest way of implementing any customer service.

Beware of Vodafone !!!
Their customer care executives are such kind of . First it takes 10-15 minuts after so many irritating steps and if by chance it connects to customer care, it is never picked up.

Services of vodafone are very irritating.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am using a postpaid connection (+[protected] from Vodafone. Recently I shifted to a new residence hence I wanted to change the billing address in my bill. My billing date is 12th of every month. I dropped in to Vodafone Store @ BTM Layout on 01-June-2010 and gave a request for the same to Mr. Moin the executive at the store. I submitted a letter from the HR of my company as the proof for my new address. He has taken the request and said it will be done max by 05-June-2010 06:00 PM. The request number is [protected]. I waited till 8th June and I didn’t get any response. I went to the BTM layout store again on 8th June asking for an update on my request. I met an executive by the name Mr. Niranjan. He said there was a problem and taken a new request for the same. The request number is [protected].They said it will closed max by 10-June-2010 06:00 PM. This executive was very rude. He didn’t answer any of my questions on why the previous request was not processed properly. He simply says he has taken a request and they will respond in 48 hours. I told him that my billing date is 12th and I want the new address to be updated before 12th June so that I get the bill in the new address. But he refused to give me an assurance that it will be updated. He simply keeps saying that I have taken a request and they will respond in 48 hours. I again waited for 2 days. Then I called up the customer care on 10th June to get an update. They said the address is not yet updated and the request has been rejected by the verification department saying that I haven’t submitted any proof for my new address. I visited the BTM layout store again and spoke to an Executive Mr. Srinath on 10th June. He verified the details and told me that when the request was taken for the first time the executive forgot to provide the details about what proof he has collected from me. Because of the executive's mistake I had to wait for 10 days now. I asked for immediate update of the address as I done everything from my side. He said he has sent a mail to the concerned department and they will update by end of 10th June. I called up the customer care on 11th June and they said it’s not yet updated and it will be done max by 15th June. Mr.Srinath accepted that it was the executive mistake. I told him very clearly that I want the new address to be updated in my bill which will be generated on 12th June.

These executives are so rude to the customers. Cant answers their queries. They simply take request for everything. They don’t provide any update properly. They are very lethargic and careless. They simply give false promises and don’t care for the customer needs. Why do they call themselves as "Customer Care" executives?

    Kindly look into this.

    Thanks,
    Sathish Kumar

I am subscriber of [protected] under Vodafone Delhi circle. Problem is that i can't make STD calls to landline numbers for the last one month. Several complaints were made to 198 which is vodafone's dedicated call centre to carry customer grievances. However, it is surprised to say that VODAFONE does not care about its customers no longer....I have made atleast 10 - 15 complaints in last month alone. But no resolution yet.... I cannot say that vodafone is useless, but the people they recruit in the customer care is VERY USELESS and they are not even soft spoken.

A couple of years back I had subscribed to a postpaid number for my family from Vodafone, [protected] and gave it up without paying the bill. Subsequently, when I tried to change my number which is [protected] from a prepaid to a postpaid plan (My Company CUG) in 2006 or 2007 (I don’t remember which year exactly), I was faced with the daunting issue of my postpaid request not being activated on account of the fact that I had a due on the [protected] account. Hence, I paid Rs 400 towards payment for the [protected] account and thereafter had it canceled and got my current number activated (Vodafone store Kilpauk). I was under the impression that everything would be fine from there on.

And for all these years I have been quite happy with Vodafone service and our relationship has been cordial. But, of late I was confronted with another serious issue when I tried to subscribe to another postpaid account under my name. The number was taken from Balaji ([protected]) Vodafone representative for CUG with Dexterity Business Analysts Pvt Ltd. But then I faced the similar problem as earlier, that my new number could not be activated as for reason that I have a due on the [protected] account, which shouldn’t be the case as I had already cleared this earlier and canceled the connection.

I immediately walked into the nearest Vodafone store and enquired about the [protected] account, to check the status, but was informed that I had paid the amount and that my account was clear and that I did not require to make any more payments ( Mr.Ammem – Vodafone store representative, Anna Nagar) helped me see my account summary.
I assumed that this is a technical issue and that the status somehow has not been updated in the central database, because then how can my name still be there on the defaulters list when I have already paid and closed the account?. but Later i have got an anser this question that they somehow closed my account without informing me the total amount i should actually pay in some kind of write off method.

And then later they have never tried to inform me that i am defaulter in their Database. And my Question is how come they close my account without paying the full bill amount? and why they have not informed me about that am i am defaulter and now after so much of genuine bill payment for years, they are not ready to gimme a connection in my name.

and been there,( vasai west vodafone centre) in q 4 one hour, on my turn, they say documents are not sufficient.
On purchase all my originals were shown, but now what is new fun ? They don't mind others time has also got some value.
I told them to cancel the connection if these documents are insufficient.
Why I should again produce my doc ?
              Is there any rule
              All my doc are genune.

                • This is with reference to the wrong amount of Rs 30 deducted from the prepaid mobile as per confirmation of your customer care regarding the deduction was made for sending the 10 flash sms at around 1.40 pm -2.00 pm , but in actual the same was not done as I only operate the mobile .

                • I need my money back as there was no sms sent from my end.

                • This is an unfair trade practice followed by Vodafone to generate extra revenue to meet the respective targets

                • Yes it a mere amt of Rs 30 but my hard earned money deducted for no good reason ….

                • Looking forward to your positive response in terms of returning the money as the sent items does not have any records of mentioned fraud done by your company.

                • Otherwise we shall send this to leading newspapers and media house to look into matter and I am very sure millions will raise their voice against the same.

                • A full day reality story will be telecasted by media with millions of customers with similar complaints.

As per Vodafone custmore care suggestion, I visited the Vodafone store sec-18 noida twice.
But every time they refused to conversion from post paid to pre paid by giving absurd reason after a long wait.

On the first visit 3rd June , I met with MS Sangeeta Devi after waiting for more than two hours,
but she refused to convert from post paid to prepaid giving a unusual reason that first I will
deactivate the National Roaming and said it will take some time so please come after 6thJune.
she promised me to she will change this connection after 6th June after submitting documents/payements.
please find the attached doc for reference.
                  (Token No - 175 and reference No[protected]
then I received a SMS confirmation that My National roaming is deactivated.

On the second visit 7th June, I met with a customer care executive and after a long disscussion
(This lady does not know the difference between GB and MB usage of Internet usage !!!),
She agreed to refer a customer care executive ABHISHEK(a frusted and angry man).
please find the attached doc for reference.
                  (Token No - 175 and reference No[protected]

When I asked my concern to ABHISHEK, he directly said that he does not care about any mail
or any past conversion with CC and promised made by SANGEETA devi who deactivated my national roaming.
and said I will start my own process whether this conversion can be done or not, Its not your choice.
I tried a lot to understand him why I need this conversion. but he did not listen at all and
all the time he talked with very angree mood and with bad manner.

The same situation was happening with other customer also and all are irriated by their behavior
                  (ABHISHEK and NEHA).

After a long heated argument, finally ABHISHEK has declared/annouced that I will not do this,
you can do whatever you want do,and At max I will disconnect your phone connection.

After Three hours,Finally he ordered the security man to switch off all the light and down the shutter.
and left away from the seat.
Finally, One of the customer care executive (NEHA, as name she said) said the It will be not done
and no need to come again and again.

                      Vodafone /Prepaid — Recharging

                      Hi,I am M.Ramesh { No:[protected]} Transaction ID No:KKO75339507
I recharged for Rs99/- Talktime with a prepaid validity offer for One Year. After recharge with a agent /Retailer ,i was surprised to find that the value of talktime is shown as Rs 10/- .On clarification from agent that Rs90/- is validity for one month .When validity is there for one year ,how is that the software /system is accepting validity charge of Rs90/-
In case the ther was a mistake in Tariff plan then the mistake can be rectified either by refund if prepaid or recharging for Rs90/- charge time.
Customare care no 111 is a lousy no that never works.

It is not a question of money ,but it is the system and ethics of Business of Telecom gaint to repond to small customer .
After Vodafone is existing because of customers like us.

                        Hi,

I am Sachin Kapoor,, my mobile number - [protected].
I have converted my Vodafone Post-paid account to Pre-paid account on Saturday - 5June2010.
And on monday(7June 2010) , my mobile phone outgoing has been disconnected by Vodafone , the reason behind is given by Vodafone that document name is mis-match (like in my passport name is Sachin and on my rent agreement name is Sachin Kapoor).

My complaint is that i got the message from vodafone regarding same issues on Monday(7 June 2010 Time 9.26 AM by saying that "my outgoing will be disconnected with in 48 Hours, so please submit documents". And when i checked then My outgoing had been disconnected on Monday 7 June 2010 Time 9.27AM means with in 1 minute,, At that time i was in office,, i was unable to go Vodafone office in my office timing.

I also called to Vodafone Customer care,, but they replied that you will have to submit the document,, i said that i will submit the document today itself but you should provide some time to me, because i am in office , i can come in evening. AS you send the nessage that my out going will be disconnected with in 48 hours then why did you disconnect my phone with in 1 min.. then they replied that ot's our RULE,,,

Vodafone should provide some hours for submit the documents, they can't disconnected the phone service with out saying any thing.
Because of their bad service i suffer a lot......Some action should be taken by government against Vodafone,,,,,

Government should put some restriction on Vodafone Monopoly like what ever happened with me,,,because it is always happened when anybody do convert their Post-Paid to Pre-paid,,,

Vodafone always say they provide best service but actually they provide Worst service,,, i Suggest to every one that please DO NOT TAKE SIM OF VODAFONE EVER.......

                        Please take acion on it.

                            Hello Sir,

Just wanted to let you know after 5 calls to the call center of Vodafone, personally interacting with the Sales person here at my organisation the postpaid connection I had taken one and a half months ago has been unsuccessfully converted to the corporate plan.

While taking the connection I was informed that the conversion will take place in 48 hours once I send a mail from my corporate id. After a week when I called in I was informed that a simple email will not do and more details are required. I obtained these details from the sales agent here at my organisation and mailed it using my corporate id. A month passed and when I called again I was informed the they were waiting on additional information, which is when I decided to end the circus and requested for deactivation.

This is just a lousy staff providing lousy service.

                            Regards,

                            Manhar Puri.

MS / MRS Sushma – I had called up your contact center at 3:56 AM wherein my call was not answered wherein I was getting the voice coming at other side & later call gets transfer at IVR. Kindly check what kind of service assistance is their.

                              Dear Team,
Ref : Mobile No. : [protected]
This is with reference to highlight that I am your Vodafone user from last 2.5 years. I am regular payer of my bills also. But from last 6 & more months, I am regularly paying for an UNWANTED SERVICE been activated under my Mobile number. This service is “CRICKET ALERT”.
This service gets activated long back under my account while accessing the VODAFONE LIVE. OK with this as it was my mistake but I am looking to discontinue the same from DAY ONE itself. But all in-vain of no use.
Because to delete this service, I need to send an “CAN CA” to 111 but I am getting the revert SMS “You are not ACTIVE for this service. Get Cricket updates & more dial *123*11#. Rs.30 per month”
To get it rectified I had walked up to your nearest VODAFONE store also at NIT, Faridabad. But they people were not ready to help might having too much customer base with you & less manpower at your store. Because one of your member replied “MEI KYA KYA DEKHU….AGAR SMS SE DEACTIVATE NAHIE HO RAHA TOH……MUJHE NAHI MALUM KAISE DEACTIVATE HOGA”
Spoken with your best customer care representative not listed the name with me(check out your database must be there), but of no use. They were GOOD FOR NOTHING. VODAFONE is using the slogan “HAPPY TO HELP YOU” this is absolutely in correct as it should be “HAPPY TO CHEAT YOU”.
I am an employee of DISHTV & my company bears my mobile bills but above mentioned services can’t be entertain. Every month, I need to give explanation for the said service & need to pay the amount towards my accounts team for the clearance. This leads in delay of the bill payment & due to this from last few months I am regularly charged for the LATE FEE amount also.

Check out the details at your end as really feeling that need to highlight to my company management to close the corporate plan with VODAFONE.

Awaiting for your response call for this.

                              Regards,

                              Subrato Dass

Vodafone — Charges of VAS is high

Charges of VAS (Value Added Services) of Vodafone is too much high as compare to other Mobile Service Provider, like Miss Call Alert Vodafone is charging Rs. 30/- Month, Also For Blocking Unwanted Numbers, Vodafone is charging Rs. 99/- Month which is too high, If Vodafone can not provide details o[censored]nwanted(fraud) Numbers this facility of blocking unwanted calls should be free/nominal charge.

                              Kindly do the needful....

                                Vodafone — disconected service

I am pranab, i was using two numbers of vodafone postpaid, but due to non verification of the numbers after i changed my address my sims got disconnected. I told the persons who were supposed to come to my place for verification to come but they never came hence my numbers got disconnected.I have paid in full the bills of my numbers. The numbers i was using are-[protected] and [protected].

Vodafone — Incoming discontinued without any reason

                                Dear Sir,
Ihad taken 199 plan of Vodafone & deposited deposit and other charges on 13 June 2008. My Vodafone SIM was activated on 16 June 2008.
On 06 July 2008 without any intimation my outgoing was disconnected, on enquiry from their helpline I was informed that I had excceeded my allowed talktime of Rs1000/-. After my inquiry I get an SMS on 06 July at 12 noon that my my outgoing had been disconnected due to unbilled amount of Rs 1220/- . Thereafter I get another Sms that my bill for Rs 415.06 paisa for the period upto 04 July had been dispatched & should be paid by 22 July 08. I have yet not received any bill. Even this billing is incorrect because as per plan I am entitled to 200 free calls & my average outgoing calls are not more than 4 in a day.

My husband visited Vodafone office at Hill Road, Bandra to request for details o[censored]nbilled amount, however they declined to give details or activate outgoing till Rs 1220/- is not paid. Further they advised him to check details in next bill which will be generated on 04 August and till then facility of outgouing will not be given.

This amounts to nothing but hrassment & extortion from Senior Citizens. Am I not entitled to know details of amount billed to me? Incidently from 16 June till 04 July my talktime is worth Rs 415/- & in ONE DAY for 05 July I am being billed Rs 1220/- but details can be provided by Vodafone.

You are requested to get justice for a senior citizen .

                                Thanking you

                                Vodafone Pre-Paid Connection — disconnection

My Vodafone life time pre-paid connection had > Rs.1800 /- balance amout valid upto April 2010. Due to problems with mobile set I could not use it for six months and I did not recharge required Rs.200 for six months. Instead of deducting from my prepaid balance amount, vodafone has permanently disconnected the number and swallowed the balance amout. They are simply cheating people and robbing money on some pre-text.

                                Vodafone service — Unwarranted harassment

                                Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Subra Iyer, Marketing Manager for Alpha Pharma Healthcare in Mumbai. I use a corporate Blackberry instrument with services provided by Vodafone. My payment for the month of April, due May 6, was paid by check # 237246 dated May 8th, drawn on HSBC Bank for the amount of Rs. 1874.54. Vodafone acknowledged the receipt via their payment center at JB Nagar (their Txn # CY846) on May 11th at 11:35:13 am. During the week of May 11th, I kept getting calls from their service center "" regarding payment. My response was that it's been already paid. On Saturday, May 16th, when my office is closed, they disconnected my outgoing services for non-payment. I called, argued & had it reinstated for the weekend assuring to give them check details on Monday, when am in office. First thing Monday morning, I called them up, eventually spoke with a rep. (the earlier ones would not connect me to their Manager & would simply hang up on me!), and provided all the necessary details, and the rep. updated my records with an assurance of 'no more calls' from their center. Two hours later, at 11:30 am, I get another call regarding non-payment!!! I have my assistant call up the bank to find out that Vodafone cashed the check on the 14th itself! That afternoon, I leave my pending office work, skip lunch, & go in person to their center at JB Nagar with hard proof of my payment details, speak with a rep who "again" updates my record in my presence. I insist & speak with the Floor Manager, who apologizes for prior inconsistencies, and "reassures" me about 'no more calls'. I also find out that the cashed check was not credited to my account due to a wrong number written on the check (my error). He assured me to resolve the matter since the issue was now clearer. Monday evening, I get another call regarding non-payment! On Tuesday morning, yet another call! Same morning, I speak with this other rep. who said they tracked the check & due credit is given to my account. On Wednesday afternoon at 3:56:00 pm, I get a SMS from Vodafone acknowledging proper credit to my account. At 5:40:27, I get another SMS from them regarding discontinuance of outgoing services for non-payment! I call & speak with a rep. Priya or Preeti where she acknowledges the credit & 'another' assurance to get my service back on track within two hours. At 8:00 pm, I check & there was no restoration of services. I call again & speak with Harsha Nena who again "assures' me of restored services by 10:00 pm, since Preeti had NOT made a request to their concerned department as promised by her earlier! Guess what! At 10:30 pm, my services were still NOT restorated! I call it a night, hoping by morning, I'll be back on track. Wrong again! Eventually, this morning, I get through a Raju Rao, who finally gets my service back in an hour.

I have been through a lot trying to talk to "double-digit" IQ personnel, when this situation could have been resolved had I been connected to a higher level Manager. Since it's a Blackberry, I cannot change providers since I've been told my instrument is "locked" with Vodafoone as my provider! Where is the freedom of choice in this matter? Why do I have to get frustrated and go through harassing calls because of Vodafone's inefficiencies? Vodafone Customer Care is so pathetic, it's not even funny. My first bill itself, they charged me for services I never subscribed to! I had to resolve that in person because they insisted on the phone that I OKed via SMS! When confronted in person, they could provide no proof of any such confirmation! These dealings with Vodafone is reflecting me in bad light as an agitated person, when I am known to keep my calm. Their Customer Care reps are "eliciting' hitherto unknown traits in me as a person! If there is some way to sue them I would like to go ahead with the same. I am stressed, undergoing unnecessary duress, facing unwarranted harassment, feel agitated and probably more! I have found out the name of their Head of Customer Care, Mumbai, one Mr. Suvarna Shetty, email ID [protected]@vodafone.com or suvarna.[protected]@vodafone.com. I seriously don't know which one, if any, is the right one now!

Sir/Madam, What is my course of action? I would like to initiate some action against Vodafone so that no one else has to undergo this situation for lack of Vodafone's capabilities or competency.

My email ID is subra.[protected]@alpha-pharma.com. My cell # is[protected]. Awaiting you response. Thank you very much.

Vodafone Prepaid Connection — Unjustified disconnection and false statements

                                Hi,
This is to bring to the notice the following.

I got innumerable reminders of submittign my address proofs again even though I submitted them a few years back when I took their connection as I was said that its a matter of trai else my number [protected] would be dicsonnected.

On submitting all the proofs at the head office of theirs at peninsula corporate park in mumbai, I was assured that all is well and all the documents are correct.

Now, they have disconnected my number on sunday and when I enquire they say that documents are not right.

I have many important business deals in the pipeline and this harassment is causing me lots of mental and financial trouble.

Please revert with possible solutions at the earliest.

                                Regards,

Vodafone Prepaid Connection — Disconnected the connection without any reason after a few days of working

Two vodafone prepaid connections which I had bought a few days ago from the Vodafone office near High Court, Kochi have been disconnected without citing any reason from yesterday (4/1/2010) onwards. When I called them up, they said that I had not given the address proof to them. In fact I had given all the information required to them. Otherwise how could these two connections work during the days prior to their disconnecting them? It seems a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of Vodafone by making its customer the scapegoat.

Vodafone service — Prepaid connection disconnected

                                Dear Sir,

I am Santosh from Bangalore now I have been settled in Jaipur.

Vodafone Service has disconnected my pre paid connection due to address proof not reached to the Vodafone office. I have been submitted documents three times ( twice in the shop where I have purchaged Sim and once in Vodafone shop), again Vodafone people telling to submit once again I thought of through that Sim but I have 170 rupees balance in that.

because of this I have faced bunch of problems like 2 days Leave applied in my office, three times visit to dealer, three times visit to Vodafone store, Bus fare to visit to store, even more.

                                I want justice in this

                                Please do need full.

                                Regards

                                Vodafone — prepaid connection

i am a military officer and on transfer to mumbai had availed vodafone prepaid connection([protected]).i received a call to my no. requesting/advicing me to changeover to postpaid, due to my connection usage exceeding more than 1000 rs call from customer service centre.
post changeover, even after receiving the bill to my mentioned address, there has been repeated service interruption citing address verification. even after my address verification, still my connection was interrupted at dire situations. After my many repeated visits to the the gallery in fort, mumbai they would resume it again and soon the same would be blocked again.
Since this problem was not getting solved. i requested them to changeover to prepaid again. however, after charging me again for purchase of SIM card and validity, my card is still blocked.
i have submitted all the documents atleast five - six times just to stop them interrupting their service.
the customer service at fort branch of vodafone is also very pathetic with lots of arrogance and false promises.
Just because, i serve this country and live in a restricted area does not mean that i am homeless or that i am a security threat for uminterrupted mobile connection service. citing reasons of not being able to verify address as i live in a restricted area where visitors are not allowed is nothing but harassment.
since i had registred this no. for my bank transactions, i ve also suffered in that way too.please help
                                Dear friend,

i was also a loyal customer to hutch (excellent) and of late Vodafone ( the lousiest )
having made payment for one year advance rental for my no.[protected], they have disconnected my services.

i waited for the option of number portability and soon will change to airtel/reliance.
i want to share this info.with as many persons as possible and so
I SUGGEST YOU TO USE NUMBER PORTABILITY OPTION AND SIMPLY SWITCH OVER TO OTHER NETWORK.
pl do it immediately and enjoy good services.

Vodafone — Unjustifiable cuts in prepaid account balance

                                To whomsoever it may concern,

Since last two times when I got a recharge done for Rs 50, I got only Rs 21 while the promised balance is Rs. 40 something. I called three times at your customer care. The first time they told me that it may be due to my use of internet on the cell phone which may have caused my account balance to be negative. Since I hadn't used used internet on my cellphone but it was a possibility, so I checked if internet worked on my cellphone. Interestingly, packet data connection is not available on my phone.

                                So,

                                1. Both time the balance was Rs 21 and not Rs. 40.

                                2. Packet data connection is not available on my cellphone

                                3. I WANT MY Rs 38 BACK NOW!!

Yeah, your data shows I used internet on so and so date. I've heard that before.

And your customer care doesn't really care.

                                Yours angrily

                                Vodafone — Prepaid connection disconnected

                                Complaint No.[protected]

I purchased a prepaid vodafone sim 2 months ago after submitting the documents asked for. I'm then told, within two days, that my service will be disconnected if I don't submit my documents again. I again submitted my documents but the sim was not activated. I have called the customer care several times and visited the store numerous times but with no result.

This harassment has been going on for the last two months. It has wasted my time and money. I didn't expect this from Vodafone and I will never ever avail any services/products of this organization.

Vodafone — service disconnect by company

I HAVE A SIM NO. [protected] .USING FROM LAST SIX MONTHS. NOW THIS SIM DEACTIVATE MORE THAN ONE MONTH.I CONTACT VODAFONE OFFICE 4 TO 5 TIMES ,PAPERS ALSO SUBMITTED BUT SIM IS NOT ACTIVE TILL TODAY. I HAVE A LOSS OF RS. 30,000/- FOR THIS PROBLEM. Hi,

I received a letter today with the subject line "Payment Reminder letter". Ref: Vodafone Relationship No. 1.15377792, Cell No. [protected].

I was instructed to call Eleena Biswas or Chandrashekhar Birwadkar. I tried calling Eleena Biswas on [protected] and Chandrashekhar Birwadkar on [protected] and both are not answering the call. The landline number 25477706 provided in the letter is not in service.

This is to remind Vodafone that I never stated that I will not pay the bill. I am ready to pay the bill even now provided Vodafone sends me an apology letter (hard copy or email) for the inconvenience I faced at the Vodafone store and the delay I experienced in getting the gift as part of the Vodafone and Global direct scheme. Also, one of the gifts I received was of no use to me (Reebok jacket not of my size).

Please go through the email thread below and please do not waste your time and precious paper sending reminder for payment of bill. Instead send me just one apology letter and that very day I will pay the bill both for [protected] and [protected]. Else let us fight it out in a court case. Please send me a legal notice and I will present my case there.

                                      Regards,

                                      Hi Sameer,

Thank you very much for your generosity in allowing me to use the number for another 2 days. However, as mentioned in my conversation with you I won't be paying the bill for any of the numbers that I have disconnected. Also, I had mentioned that it is fine with me if you disconnect the number right away.

I have nothing against you or Sharon and very well understand that you are working for a company and you may be following company guidelines when it comes to not apologizing in an email. However, the thing that I cannot understand here is how come any company have a policy like this. I had the [protected] right from the time when this company was known as "Orange". From Orange to Hutch and now Vodafone I was witness to the transformation. This number was the very first mobile no. I had. I started off with a prepaid connection and till recently had not changed my number or service provider. This speaks volumes about my loyalty as a customer. I have never defaulted on my bill since I converted to a postpaid customer in November, 2005.

I am not writing all this to get any response from you guys or bring about any change in policies of Vodafone. This is just an FYI. Please do not waste your time getting back to me as I have already moved on to a different service provider. You may focus your time and energy on helping other Vodafone customers.

                                      Have a nice day!

                                      Adios!

                                      Regards,

                                      Vijitkumar

                                      Hi Sharon,

Please do not bother. I received a call today from Vodafone to confirm whether I wish to cancel the following numbers:

                                      [protected]
                                      [protected]

I have given my confirmation. When I requested Sameer who had called on behalf of Vodafone to cancel the number [protected], he said I will have to send an email for this. So here I am requesting that you cancel the following number in an email:

                                      [protected]

You guys can insist on an email request for cancellation, however, I as customer can’t expect an apology in an email. In this entire episode, I have been verbally apologized to, a hundred times. However, an email apology that I requested for has yet to be seen.

If you go by my history of bill payment, I have never jumped the due date. However, this time I did and if anyone is responsible for it, it would be Vodafone. I have not paid my bill yet and will not be paying it. If at all you expect me to pay then as stated in my previous email, a written apology (not regret) for all the inconvenience I faced from Vodafone has to come my way.

I too work in the Customer service industry. The only difference is that I provide customer service to customers primarily in the US and few UK customers too. The reason for my insistence on a written apology is because of the fact that when we know for sure that the customer had faced any inconvenience because o[censored]s, the first thing we do is apologize (in an email). May be customers are better treated in those countries than in India.

Thank you very much and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused to you.

                                      :-)

                                      Have a nice day!

                                      Hi Sharon,

I do agree with the bill amount for [protected]. I had only checked the latest bill and not the previous one. Sorry about that.

However, as mentioned in my email to you yesterday, I am not going to pay the bill for [protected] and the [protected] numbers until and unless I see an apology coming from Vodafone for the inconvenience I faced at the Vodafone store. Also, you owe me an apology for the delay in sending the gift associated with the number [protected].

I will be canceling the number [protected] but that does not mean I will not pay the bill. The only reason I am not paying the bill is because of the fact that you have not apologized yet on behalf of Vodafone.

You have only regretted the inconvenience caused to me but not apologized. It is really painful to see that I have to beg for an apology that I rightly deserve from Vodafone for all the hassles I faced only and only because of Vodafone.

                                      Regards,

                                      Vijitkumar

Subject: Vodafone not at all happy to help

                                      Hi,

This is to highlight the insensitive manner in which Vodafone treats its customers.

Issue 1: Concerning bill payment for mobile no. [protected]

I went to pay my mobile phone bill at the Vodafone store in Ghodbunder road, Thane-India. I stood in the queue at the “Pay here” counter. I was 5th in the line. No where near the counter it was mentioned that only debit card payment was accepted there. It was only mentioned that for credit card payment the kiosk option should be used. So, I stood in the queue for making cash payment. When it was my turn, Vicky Srivastava, the person at the counter informed me that only debit card payment is accepted there. I informed him that no where it is mentioned that cash payment is not accepted at the counter. He simply replied stating that all customers who come to Vodafone store to pay the bill know that cash payment is not accepted at the counter. I was not aware of this. I saw “Pay here” mentioned at the counter and hence stood in the queue. This person didn’t even bother to apologize for the inconvenience caused to me or empathize with me. I immediately took a token number and decided to complain about the issue. I first spoke to a representative of Vodafone who directed me to the Vodafone store manager, Sunny Pandirkar. I explained the issue to him. Sunny initially said that it is mentioned that cash payment is not accepted at the counter. So, I personally took him to the payment counter and showed him that nothing was mentioned about cash payment at the counter. He did apologize for the inconvenience. However, I requested for a written apology or an apology by email. He said that he cannot do it. Hence, I decided against paying the bill. Now unless I get a written apology or an email apology for the inconvenience faced and the insensitive manner in which things were communicated to me; I am not going to pay the bill.

Issue 2: Concerning the inconvenience caused by Vodafone and Global direct scheme.

I opted for a scheme offered by Global Direct on behalf of Vodafone. I got the following two numbers:

                                      [protected]

                                      [protected]

The person (Kamalakant Behera-Global direct) who offered me the scheme had initially mentioned that after paying the bill for the above two numbers I will get the gift chosen by me from the available list at the Vodafone store. However, I received gift voucher instead, which I had to courier. The number [protected] got activated late because of the goo[censored]p by Global direct with regards to my address proof. They did not collect it first and then asked me to fax it. They messed up with the fax also and made me to take another Xerox copy. One representative came home and collected it. Due to this delay I only received gift voucher for the first number [protected]. In this case I had the option to select the gift. I selected Reebok jacket. It did get delivered to me but was not of my size and of no use to me. I cancelled number [protected] because of this.

For the second number [protected], I paid the first bill and received a gift voucher with a scratch card option. I scratched the card and it was a Reebok jacket again. I wanted sun glasses. I have complained about this to Vodafone before and I was assured that I will receive sun glasses. However, till date I have not received any gift. Due to this I decided against paying the bill for [protected]. Complaint number for your reference:[protected]

I wish to get written apology and written assurances for the above mentioned issues. Until then I will not be making any payment towards my outstanding bills.
