I had booked a car today which was supposed to start at 7:30 PM IST.
Here is a snapshot of my booking for more details.
As per the instructions shown on the app, since the door-step delivery was not available; i took an auto and went to the designated location as shown on the map. which is, on outer ring road, towards goraguntepalya and stood next to Gokuldas exports office. But there was no sign of the said car.
Hence, i tried to call the customer support from my registered mobile number. The call was on IVR for close to 9 minutes before an agent responded.
Later, the agent, after listening to my problem, said he will put me on hold and connect me to the owner of the vehicle. I agreed and waited patiently for a few more minutes and finally the call got automatically disconnected after around 20 minutes from my initial dial time.
I was wandering across the road to see if I could find the car since sometimes the location may be slightly different on the map. Meantime, I had dialled customer care which was on IVR and waiting to connect to the agent.
Finally after another 9 minutes, I was finally connected to another agent, i was furious by this time since I had lost about 45 minutes of my time looking for your car. I must say I was a little out of patience as you can imagine, I was furious.
The agent said it's not his problem, I insisted upon connecting me to the previous agent who had picked my 1st call. But to my surprise, the 2nd agent said I'm unprofessional and he cannot continue the call and disconnected!
I had no more patience left to call a third time and wait for your IVR to connect me to the agent. I returned home after much difficulty finding an auto at that time.
Sincerely, I had a lot of respect and good faith on the zoom car considering the nature of your business and being somewhat pioneers in India in this business trying to disrupt the market and bring value to customers.
This was the first time i ever tried using the service, since my car which is about 12 yrs old had broken down. I was also considering going for a subscription since i want to change my car but I'm not sure if the electric cars in future may have a negative effect on the price of the car in future if purchased at this point.
Anyway, coming back to my first experience with you, I must say it was horrible. I would never recommend anyone in the future.
All my plans for today's evening had to be cancelled. I had my in-laws at home whom I wanted to take out for dinner and drop-off to the bus station for their planned journey to their hometown.
All of it is now cancelled and i had to put up a sorry face in front of them.
Further, whats your problem managing your customer care center properly? I called 3 times today, every time, I was able to speak to the agent only after a minimum of 9 minutes of waiting time!. is this how you value your customer's time?
Being a IT professional myself, i know systems can sometimes go wrong. The first agent was trying to connect me to the owner of the car, why don't you make your app connect your customers to the person responsible for delivering / handing-over the car directly? Why all the time to your centralized customer service who take hell lot of time to connect and have no conclusive solutions to the problem?
If that was possible, maybe the issue could have been resolved today and I could have picked up the car and not had to go through this ordeal. Think about it.
Finally, I expect a full refund plus the compensation for lost time and inconvenience relying on your unreliable service
