Since I posted my complain in detail about last evening rude and impolite service by Domino's staff at Vile Parle West outlet, I wish to now furtheer enlighten thee general public who may read theis forum about thee earlier encounter.
It was around 3 monthes ago, I do not recall thee date, as I had theought it to be only 2nd encounter and hence had let it go. The incident is like theis.I had placed an order and when it did not arrive for almost an hour I called theem up. They informed me theat thee person had just left 10min ago and was on his way. Believing theem, I waited. When it did not arrive after anotheer 30 min or so, I again called up, and theis time theey said, it should have reached, I should be patient. Incidentally, the outlet and my home are exactly around 1.5kms away, as measured by the odometer on my car.
Finally after the 3rd or 4th call, they said, there is some mistake the order has not been dispatched. They were very busy and so on.
In between, the staff would just disconnect thee phone, I would have to call back again and so on. It was pure harassment and afterwards I just gave up. NO DELIVERY EVER CAME,and we ended up cooking food, as it was too late to start ordering elsewhere too.
This is DOMINOS SERVICE.
They can get away because in India sadly the consumer forums are not so active due to many reasons. In a country like US, they would have paid very dearly in terms of money and reputation and loss of business for such behaviour.
I hope, it happens here too.
On 3rd april 2009, 9:07 P.M. I gave an order for a pizza mania (consisting of 4 small veg. pizzas) and 2 garlic breads at DOMINOS branch at JASOLA, NEW DELHI.
But, what happened afterwards reflects the view of the DOMINOS that it does not value its costumers and is not even worried of harrasment caused due to their casual attitude towars their costumers.
I did not received my order till 10:30 P.M..
In between I called the dominos shop from which i had ordered. They kept saying that food would be reaching within 2 minutes. But, the food did not reach even till 1.5 hr even though my home is just at 1.25 km distance from the shop. After waiting for eternity, I decided to cancel my order at 10:30P.M. as i had made out that Dominos does not believe in costumer satisfaction.
Now with my experience with Dominos i have found that DOMINOS is one of the very few MNC's who have the utmost casual attitude, and can even go to the extent of making a mockery of their customer's hunger.
So, I would suggest that please take a responsible action soon.
I would also suggest that DOMINOS should take back their 30 minute delivery guarantee as thay can't deliver an order in 1.5 hrs at a distance of 1.25 kms.
