Sir,

I have booked a Courier at DTDC Courier LTD , Sholinganalloor Branch Office,Chennai on August 12,2010.It was a parcel to my husband at Dubai,UAE.First it came back stating contact numer is incorrect.Since I insisted that the number is correct, again they sent the parcel to UAE.

Then I got information that parcel cannot be delivered for the same reason and I was NOT GIVEN the contact number of courier office in UAE.When my husband went and enquired Courier office in Deira,he coudnt get the parcel.It was sent back to India.

On repeated enquiries I was told that parcel got missed somewhere and they will pay me the compensation charges.Since I insisted that I need the parcel back,they made me waiting for one month and I was informed that the Courier has reached Guindy Office.But thay cannot return it back since courir office has to make some payment for parcel clearance.

1.Even if I gave right contact number courier is not delivered.
2.Parcel is not returned back also

Dear Sir,
I use regularly the DTDC courier service.It has given wonderful service over the years.But,recently when I have sent a courier to my son Mr.B.D.Sravant,C/o B.L.V.N.Sashanka,# 326,
8th Main,Mico Layout,Bangaluru-560016,with CN No. K 42954156,dated 25-8-10,the parcel has not reached properly.There was a shirt ,purse and Sodexo Coupons as birthday gifts in the parcel.But only shirt and purse have reached.Till recently the Sodexo coupons were not in your banned list of articles.
But to my uttermost surprise the coupons have not reached the destination ,wchich is unusal,and the parcel also took 3 days instead of the usual 2days it takes for Bangaluru.
I have never had this type of bitter experience with DTDC over the years.Hence I sincerely request you to probe at your Bangaluru offices and give me justice and revive the faith I had on DTDC.
Developing a good name takes time but to become a bad service company,it takes a few days and few cases only.Hope you can understand my hurt feelings and do something in reviving my faith on your courier.With regards-----B.Venkatesh.

My parcel was booked on date: 28/09/10 and reached local Vile Parle branch DTDC on date: 04/10/10. It's 08/10/10 now and I'm still waiting for my parcel. Initially, I was having tough time to even track my parcel as the DTDC Tracking wasn't updated. It's only on 07/10/10 that I could some how find that our parcel is lying since 4 days at the local DTDC branch.

When I call up the branch a representative accepts that it is lying there last 4 days and says the reason or delay is no staff to deliver ! That's the last thing you could expect to hear from a courier company. Then why the hell are you running this business? Prompt delivery should be your objective !

This was not the end, the representative in Vile Parle-Main branch was completely adament and iresponsible and started arguing with me, stating this is how it is..... we can't help you! That's ridiculous! The rep. wasn't even ready to give his name and asking me to do whatever I could, but he cannot help!

After arguing for like 10 minutes he gave his name (don't even know if it's true) Mr.Anand Palsemkar.

Because of this delay of 4 days we lost business and the DTDC was not even feeling 'SORRY' for this. This is an example of worst Customer Service....any business could ever deliver. I feel...I can't even call this as a service for that matter. DTDC .......never again!

DTDC sucks !!!

On 4th Oct 2010 I have handed over a letter to a

Business Co-ordinator of DTDC - Mr M G Srikanth.

The letter was urgent and he took the payment saying that he will deliver the receipt and docket number within few hours. But the letter has not reached till now. From that time till date Mr Srikant has kept his mobile switched off. He doesnt attend or respond to SMS or send any message about the whereabouts of the letter.

This letter was application for my house mutation in Kolkata. The addressee was :

I have send courier from Mumbai to Muzafferpur vide docket no. M56728888 on 19th Aug 2010 and that has still not got delivered.

The courier company says it was returned to origin because of address not sufficient.

I raised the questions:
1. If Indian Postal dept and other private courier services are delivering with same details (pin number duly provided), how come it suddenly becomes insufficient address?

2. When the mobile no. of the sender and receiver was mentioned- was was a call not made in case of any difficulty?

3. If the packet is returned to Origin (RTO)- then why have I still not received it back in Mumbai till date.

The response shows your indifferent attitude and callous approach to the entire matter. It opens many questions:



1. Why has it taken almost a month and repeated chases to get even this response

2. Your website tracking has been showing it as “in transit” for almost 20-25 days before I started shooting this mails which clearly shows it was lying somewhere or has been misplaced and now u r trying to cover it up. Also as per u’r website what was happening between 24th Aug to 10th Sep????

3. The delivery address is the complete postal address along with PIN no and other courier services are delivering consignments along with govt postal department without any hiccup. Why is then a problem only with DTDC?

4. You all insist on contact no (which has been duly mentioned on the envelope) and if there was a problem in locating the place, why was a call not given either to the person receiving the packet or the one sending it?

5. On your mention that this has been returned to origin- then why have I still not received it back in Mumbai??? Does it take a month and such agony to even have things back which u cannot deliver?



I am not satisfied with just a single line response that it is RTO and need my grievance to be addressed by right authorities.



The packet remains till date neither delivered nor returned to me.



Also, why are u silent on your flawed system of calls automatically getting disconnected in exactly 1 min when called to Bangalore – a smart rather irritating way to dissuade people from even calling u.



Shame on you and your rotting system for such irresponsible answers without getting to the root of the problem.

Hi,



I had send rakhi vide docket no. M56728888 on 19th Aug 2010 and that has still not got delivered.



Repeated follow up at your various offices is getting no response. Personal visit to the collection centre where it was send from got me only cold stares.



Pathetic situation where u charge premium and service worst than anyone in the world. I am sick and tired of tracking this consignment and the agony and hurt feelings it is bringing to all family members.



When calling the Bangalore number listed on website, the line gets disconnected exactly in 1 min before I can tell the entire facts.



Pl. have the consignment delivered back to me along with full refund and God only knows what penalty should be imposed for such careless and ir-responsible conduct.

DEAR SIR,

I have opted for the service of DTDC courier for delivery of one costly saree to Agartala. As the item was costly I had chosen DTDC because it was well reputed courier service in India and they charged Rs 150/- which was above par compare to the other courier company. My consignment note no is K43569126. But with my utter dismay the courier returned the same after expiry of 13 days and the saree was totally damaged and probably eaten by rats. They had shown the reasons that the address of the consignee was not found which was blatant lie and to supress thier misdeeds. please look into the matter so that the big company like DTDC cannot shrugg of their responsibility. I want justice from your accredited organisation.

i've sent a courier (consignment no. V[protected] from Indore(M.P.) to my sister in Patna(Bihar) on her birthday (06/10/2010) through Dtdc plus service.
i was told that it will reach the next business day, that was 05/10/2010. It has not reached yet.
So i called Patna Dtdc office ([protected]) for enquiry, since i didn't any reply from sms tracking service of dtdc. i called him at around 3pm, i got a reply " i am having lunch, so message me your consignment no.". i waited for 2 hours but i didn't get any response. i called him back, he's tone was very rude, he said the consignment is not yet dispatched from kolkatta office, so i can't do anything. i told him that is not my responsibility where it has reached, it need to be delivered today as it was meant for the receiver's birthday. He said "I don't know anything, go and find out where the fault is if it is so urgent, and go and complain anywhere you want if it doesn't work"
Dtdc is a service based company atleast executives should have the the right behaviour towards their clients (atleast when they themselves are at fault) moreover the delayed consignments have become their daily rituals.

i have booked 3 couriers on[protected] with the airway bill no Z21690831, Z21690829 & Z21690830 these courier are not delivered till now. Im trying to trace these couriers from last 5 days from delhi branch and site but there is no response

I am expecting a courier ( M[protected] posted at Mumbai on 22nd Sept 2010 .
Hopefully it will be delivered .
However , wanted to alert all that that donot get impressed by long list of helpline nos displayed in their website ( dtdc.in ) . Non of them works . e.g. in Gurgaon some 7/8 nos are displayed . The mobile nos - nobody picks up whereas the landline numbers are either non-functional or wrong number ( one number belongs to a restaurant ) .

The meesage is : be prepared to trek to their offices ( mostly in filthy/commercial locations ) in case you want to speak to anyone .

Rather stay away from this

A consignment from ICfAI university Press was sent to my lucknow address by DTDC courier company on dated 23rd july 2010. till now i have not received the consignment. the Tracking facility in website of DTDC shows that it has been delivered.

I wanted to send my mother's hospital discharge certificate for Rs. 17,000 from Mysore to my brother in Bangalore to make a claim. I booked the packet at DTDC (Near Jaganmohan Palace, Mysore ) No. B65019515 on 6/8/2010. This was not delivered to my brother, at Central College, Bangalore. So I lodged a complaint at the same place on 20/8/2010. After several days, and three visits, they informed me that the letter was delivered. After checking with my brother, I informed him that he has not received it. He gave me another number and after enquiry, a lady sent me the copy of delivery note by e-mail (26/8/2010) saying that the letter was delivered. After checking again, I informed that the letter was not received by my bother. So the proprietor gave me the number of DTDC in-charge of Mysore City. After many calls and several days, he informed me that the letter was delivered to a wrong address in Bangalore. I requested him to collect back the letter and deliver because the last date for claiming the amount will come to an end. I made more than 20 calls to both these people but so far (after 2 months and 12 days), the DTDC has not delivered the letter to my brother. In the mean-time, my brother had calls from incharge of Bangalore DTDC who said that a mistake has happened, he will deliver the letter on Monday, but so far (one week is over), the letter remains undelivered and I am going to lose Rs. 17,000 because of the blunder by the DTDC. Both these people have STOPPED RECEIVED MY PHONE CALLS and not answering sms. I am helpless at the hands of DTDC. What action should I take?

i was booked my important documents at DTDC courier service at 21/8/2010..from kolkata to pune...but those docs documents are reached to the destination..i am sending more mails to all DTDC branches in pune and kolkata..but i am not getting any response from their side...upto now i did't know where is my documents...my shipment number is k42629166...they are providing bad services ...so how can put case on them in forum court...please take certain action on responsible person...

One of my contacts had sent two pen drives with some crucial data in it and the consignment was sent on 10th Sept, 2010 from Bangalore. I received the consignment on 15th of September at my Kurali address and one of the two pen drives was stolen. Though all the articles in the packet were claimed and I also received a commercial invoice copy stating that there were two pen drives, but I received just one of them. The packet was cut and opened up by a blade and was packed again with a tape. This is just not done. All my critical data and my expensive 4GB pen drive have been filched by these DTDC people. I am seriously not going to use this crook service provider for sending any courier packets.

I booked a courier from Bhagalpur to Jhajha on 20/8/10 with reciept No. K42885338.

Courier contains my valuable things due to which i am suffering from financial losses.

I made several communication to local DTDC office on phone no.[protected] ,Patna office on Phone no.[protected]/ [protected] and website complain with complain no. CFD0034973 on 7th September.

Till time i get no response from DTDC as i mailed my complain also.
Above local office and Patna office are providing me misleading information and giving me assurance for soon delivery.

Hence the package is to be delivered in HISAR (Haryana). But till now there is no trace of that package. Even the tracking system of DTDC Courier company is not providing any suitable information and there is no details available on the website of DTDC. Please take a severe action against DTDC.

I've send my courier from Dehradun to lucknow. I've booked it on 3rd Sept. & Doc. No.is-F05259847. There was some very important documents for which they've assured me that it'll deliver on Monday 6th sept.when I contacted to my office they informed me that they've not recieved the courier. I started follow-up with Dehradun branch they again assured me it'll deliever today it has reached Lucknow even they've told me to contact Lucknow office and gave me Tel. No. of the same. I've tried on these Tel No's[protected]/42 atleast >80 times but no one picked up the phone. I again called up to Dehradun office now they'vestopped picking up my phone. Today agin when I contacted to customer care they've responded that first time this matter is coming into their notice and they'll revert back to me within an hour, but no one responded back. Continuously I'm contacting but no response I've got. Is this the way of these so called professional couriers working. Now I'm in a loss of Rs 16000/- I'm planning to sue DTDC in consumer court. Moreover in our association I'll ensure that no one deal with this worst courier service.

They got a very bad service..they have delivered my courier to a wrong address and now when i am showing concerned where the courier is delivered they are fooling around and taking no actions against my complaint.its been 2 weeks now bt they dont know where the courier is?The courier and important documents of mine is lost. How can we relie on their service?
