I am writing this complaint with huge frustration with the HDFC Bank collection people.
I am the HDFC card customer since 10 years but due to some financial losses, I cannot continue the card. Therefore, I approached the bank and requested for settlement. While speaking with Collection manager on May 24, 2019 by visiting the branch at Secretariat, I was offered the settlement amount of 1, 30, 000/- with 2 options -
1. Making minimum payment of 20K now and settlement in July 2019(This minimum amt 20K will be deducted from 130K).
2. Settling the card now and making the 1st EMI now.
I made a mistake of choosing the 1st option, based on my humble request I was told that they will look out for some concession to further reduce the remaining settlement amount of 1, 10, 000/- in July. To my surprise, I am now again being told that I have to pay 130K as settlement amount then the lien on my account will be removed.
I'm really really frustrated now as they have collected 20K and also marked lien in my account. If something goes wrong with me, HDFC Bank is responsible as do not have a single penny for daily use. Please look into it and resolve the issue asap.
