    Hi,
    I am Neha Goyal having account in ICICI bank. On 12/09/2009 I made a transaction from HDFC ATM of Rs. 2500/-. But the ATM screen showed "Transaction Timed Out". But the amount was deducted from my account. Till date I have not got my money back. Even after going to the ICICI bank, they are asking to bring the slip of that transaction timed out. But I did not recieve any receipt for the same.
    Is this the way I have to deal.
    The transaction slip is for customer's use and not for bank. They already have the details.
    Don't know when I am going to get the money back. What needs to be done, please suggest.

    ICICI — Refund of the money deducted from Credit card

    I Anoop Kumar Singh have a pention plan for which i have to pay a premium of Rs 25000/ annum. I paid that premium from a cheque but they have already deducted it from my credit card. Now when i ask for a refund on my credit card icici policy people say that credit card are not accepting the payment while credit card people say that they haven't got any refund. The credit card is also from ICICI. First they have deducted the money from my credit card without my permission, second they are not refunding it. What should i do??

          All those who have a bank account with ICICI Bank are advised to withdraw their money and close their bank accounts as early as possible. If anybody believes I am speaking thin air, may have to regret.

          If anybody still trusts ICICI Bank, or believes it is honest & transparent, think over it once again.

          These people have been bribing Banking Ombudsman (Reserve Bank of India)

          I also swear by Mother India to shut down The Banking Ombudsman...
          for they are hand in gloves with the private banks and settle the consumers' complaints only in the favor of such banks. Because their officers are fed on the pieces thrown by such private banks

          In addition, The Banking Ombudsman is only an alternate forum. It does not have the status and authority of The Consumer Courts. All of you must be aware of it

          So, in case you have any complaint against any bank, do approach The Banking Ombudsman. Do not lodge your complaint with them. The Banking Ombudsman is only here to make folly of the consumers

          All such alternate forums must be shut down. If they have the right to form alternate forums, why should not we people of India...

          Setup & establish genuine courts which actually deliver justice and in time too!

          STUPID ICICI CARE HAS BEEN POSTING THE SAME PRE-MADE REPLY ON ALL MY POSTS ON VARIOUS BLOGS...

          HUH... MY FOOT!
          Its been 2 years since I lodged my complaint with The Banking Ombudsman which is ultimately closed without resolution, on the grounds that I did not submit relevant documents.

          The complaint is:

          ICICI Bank has been regularly practicing delayed credit i.e. The cheque deposited by the account holder is not credited in time. It happened to me not once or twice but 5 times on different occasions, different cheques on different dates. You will be surprised to know that, the cheques which I had issued to my vendors were dishonoured with the clause "INSUFFICIENT FUNDS" WHILE amount against my cheques was credited to my account on the same date. The account statements clearly reflect the balance on those dates

          I had argued that the RBI should cross check the clearing time from the CLEARING HOUSE with the time when funds were credited to my account.

          One can easily understand that in this matter, account holder can not produce evidences other than pay-in slips. While Pay-in-slips can't be a good evidence against delayed credit.

          Banking Ombudsman is only an alternate forum. It is not a consumer court. To appeal against the Banking Ombudsman, I shall have to approach High Courts as if I had no other business to look after.

          Now I have decided to fight against the crippled system. And stupid ICICI Care has been posting a pre-made reply to my posts on all blogs... MY FOOT...

          I have sent the copies of my posts to The President of India, Supreme Court of India, Delhi Police Commissioner and many other authorities. They are free to level CONTEMPT CHARGES against me...

          BUT I WOULD CALL A SPADE, A SPADE
          I AM NOT SCARED EVEN OF DEATH SENTENCE
          RATHER I WOULD LIKE TO BE HANGED EARLIER THAN PARLIAMENT ATTACKERS

          I agree with what Mr. Ashok has written, ICICI Bank is totally mismanaged bank with temperory staff who are not providing dedicated service as they are always under fear of being removed after six months of service. The staff is totally unaware of banking regulations and are not provided with adequate training before being asked to handle customers. By the time they understand ABC of banking they are asked to leave by the bank. The bank must employ permanent staff who are given adequate training before being asked to face the customers. Hope the bank thinks over it.
          i have not yet received original documents for my icici home loan a/c LBNMU[protected]

          Non-release of security documents by ICICI bank despite I have cleared the loan account, Therefore, the my complain can be considered as a consumer of the bank under Section 2 (1) (d) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and the non-release of the security documents by the bank will amount to deficiency of service.
          Despite the repayment of loan, bank unable to release documents . i trust that bank's conduct is arbitrary and illegal and it is liable to be directed to release documents to us.
          please understand that ICICI bank is in fault and deficient in service but i should not be made sufferer and any loss. Hence i am entitled to be compensated even though i did not suffer any loss, for deficiency in service of bank in non-release of title documents despite repayment of whole loan amount.
          The non-return of title deeds pledged with the bank by me would amount to deficiency of service on the part of the icici bank and ICICI bank has to pay compensation of Rs.2, 00, 000/- for the loss caused to us due to loss of propety documents

          i am an advocate and this is not ICICI or any other bank who do all these things. actually every financial institution/ bank, shopkeeper, marketeer, industry, ministers, police, judiciary . . . every nook and corner of this nation is cheating people or not doing their duties because its in the blood of this nation. everybody is looking out for the opportunity to gain by whatever means and everybody is looking out to excuses for not doing their duty. some are afraid of their jobs and some are just not afraid of anyone.

          anyway our nation is still not that much bad where law is approachable and handful good social people are active. some social servants and legal persons and some honest officers are the back bone of our nation who are willing to bring justice and show the world that we are not in total filth.

          its good to complain on net and let your emotions go awry but be the fighter and if possible fight for your right. you will succeed some day and i can not tell when that someday will come. but for sure i will say ... jab tak hai dum .. lade jaao..

          i last my trust in icici Prudential, so that pls. if i want to continue my policy pls. pay my due for so many mounths i will do that
          Iam closing my icici bank account this month
          We are at the very first stage only facing problem with icici bank.i don't understand which guidelines do they follow.did they prepare any other rules apart from them prepared by rbi.
          that's my fate that i should open salary account with them as my company is having tie up with that bank.
          they are neither accepting my sisters bsnl telephone bill as my address proof or lic bond and receipt and are asking to open an account in any public sector bank and then bring them that bank statement along with a cheque leaf.
          i don't understand their problem.
          in their website they stated that premium receipt from any life insurance company will be accepted as address proof.but when i asked the staff he rejected that by simply telling that they won't accept that.
          i really don't understand what their problem is? pls somebody help me, pls clarify me the actuall proofs to be submitted and please kindly close that ICICI bank website. pls

              My particulars are: Current Account no. [protected] incidently, I have been given a special status PLEDGE CLIENT ID =13232995 .Pledge name= ICICI Bank. DP ID IN300183. PLEDGEE DP Name ICICI BANK LTD.
              I had pledged units of MORGAN STANLEY GROWTH FUND ALONG WITH COMPANY SHARES. This Mutual Fund scheme became open ended. Since last four months or so ,I have been trying to get the units released/ de-pledged but all in vain.Firstly, your bank did not co-operate with my service provider viz Stock holding . your bank said that they have got nothing to do with this.whatever is to be done has to be done by Stock holding.Though against the procedure, Stock holding yielded and UNILATERALLY took some action so that the units could be released.They further showed me the statemen confirming that my balance is NIL. When I went to KARVY COMPUTER SHARE, I was told that the units are held up with the bank..At Ludhiana, I mainly dealt with Sh NILESH KUMAR. He was not sure of the procedures. For everything he was consulting Chandigarh office. It seems they were also not sure.
              WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ? WHY CANT YOU STREMLINE YOUR PROCEDURES?

                Hi am ramesh from chennai.I am to state that my relative shri P. Sadasivam the ICICI account holder (A/C No :[protected] of Tiruppur branch) has received a credit of Rs. 43,348 ( Fourty three thousand three hunderd and fourty eight only) in lieu of the wrongly deposited sum of Rs. 49000 (Fourty nine thousand only) retrieved from the wrong beneficiary.

                Whereas the amount keyed in by me in to the account of the wrong beneficiary Shri S. Arumugam ICICI Account holder A/c No[protected] Rs 49000 (Fourty nine thousand only)

                As such an amount of Rs 5,652 ( Five thousand six hundred and fifty two only ) is yet to be credited to the Bonafide beneficiary.

                The matter is prolonged since the date of deposit i.e, 26.12.2008. Already a lot of month have passed,But the matter is yet to be settled fully.

                I am pained and am not able to understand why such matter take a long time.

                  In the process of opening a new account, they asked me to submit a latter from company to verify my address and signature & xerox copy of passport. And they asked me to deposit Rs. 10200/ , in case.
                  They issued me the check book & ATM cum Debit card also. But now after all this they are not activating my account , and also asking to submit more document regarding the address proof.
                  My objection is that, if they need more documents then why they had received the case amount and issue the check book ant ATM cum Debit card??
                  I will asked to consumer forum to take an action against them for delaying & cheating in opening of savings account.

                    I have applied for nhpc IPO 350 Nos. (2 lots) online through icicidirect.com vide demat a/c no.[protected]. I have not allotted any shares of NHPC and the stock has been listed since 1st SEP'09 but till date i have not received or credited the amount which has been debited from my account for this purpose. I have contacted ICICIdirect customer care several times and they told me to contact Karvy computer shares in this regard.

                    I too have the same problem. I am miffed about why an online investment portal doesnt get refunds through NEFT / RTGS.
                    Only ICICIdirect can manage this feat. All charges debited to my account are however transacted online with the highest efficiency. I have never been asked to pay by cash or checque.
                    ICICI's usual response is " contact the Registrars." The Registrars on their part say ICICI has rejected the online transfer.

                        My Name is amir rahman. Two cheques (Nos 784503 & 326892) have been deposited to my account no[protected] Bank ICICI Bank by Provident Fund Organization on 22nd of April 09. Sign on the cheques were not maching so these cheques sent to my old address (while my corresponding address was already updated to them). As i got shifted to Delhi so these cheques were come back to ICICI Bank. when i given a call to them and try to know the status of these cheques they told me that they sent back to Provident Fund Organization address. After so many phone calls and so many mails they atleast told me that these cheques are there in my basic Kanpur ICIC Bank Branch. i again mail/requested them to sent these cheques to my new address. First of all they sent me two new cheque books and when i again talkes to them they said sorry and assured me for sending me those cheques.

                        They also given me then a courier company name (Solution courier) and docket number but no courier company phone number saying that i will get those cheques with in 08 days. but more than 09 days have passed i still didn't recieved any cheques. when i given a call to that courier company he is not properly responding.

                        there is a marriage of my sister on 05th of October 09. i am very upset by the behaviour of ICIC Bank.

                          Dear Team,


                          I have been ICICI Bank credit card since Oct 2005.My credit card no. is [protected]

                          In first weak of Sep2007 I called up call centre to know why my outstanding was increasing even when I was not using card. At that time I came know was every month on my credit card is getting debited for about Rs 400 for some X Drive.com. According to call centre employees of ICICI Credit Card I have Purchased something online because of which every month my account is getting debited from around one year. So I asked them to refund the complete amount as I have not used it. They gave me long procedure to do and said that after completing that procedure I will be getting amount equivalent to last three transaction of X Drive.com. So I ask them to at least block my card immediately so that in future my credit card should not be debited from X DRIVE.COM. So the call centre person blocked my card. Then I thought instead of going for such a long procedure I would directly pay due amount of my credit card and will stop using ICICI Card in future. So I made payment of complete outstanding amount of Rs3000 on 24th Sep 2007.After that I was not getting any statement from October 2007 as there was no due in my credit card and there was no transaction.

                          In month of march 2008 again I received credit card statement saying that my due amount was around Rs 2900. I called up call centre in month of April 2008 and made a complaint regarding all this but then made a complaint and said that as I have blocked my credit card then any kind of transactions should not be allowed. And again this time also the transaction of Rs 2900 on 13march 2008 was not done by me so please wave of this amount. But before submitting my complaint the call centre person cut off the phone connection which I was holding for one hour.

                          After that I called up them three times but every time call centre people will attain my call and before completing my complaint they will disconnect the call. Then as I was pregnant + I was working I could not do follow up on this.

                          But still my Saving account is getting debited every month for minimum due amount of my credit card for the transaction of X Drive.com on 13th march 2008 of Rs 2900.

                          I would like ICICI Credit Card department to repay me all such amount which they debit from my account + Rs 500000 for mentally harassing me from last two years.


                          For your reference I have attached my credit card statement since may 2007 for which also I had done continues follow up from last one month.

                          I have a similar experience from ICICI credit card.
                          Despite asking them to cancel the credit card on phone they are not doing it and kept on charging me with wrong penalty and further asked me to send a mil for that.
                          I last 2 months I have sent 3 mails but no reply so far.
                          Then I tried sending the legal notice to their different offices (different addresses give at different insatnces) in Mumbai but everytime they either said that they can not accept or asked again to talk to the call centre.

                          This is a very goog strategy to avoid the confontation and keep harrasing the customer so that some where he gets fed up and makes the payment which is not legitimate and boosts their profits.

                          If you sue them at their Hyderabad address (official address) you would have to fight it out in Hyderabad courts.


                          What is the way out ?

                              I am platinum customer of ICICI Bank having all types of credit card gold to platinum, also having Car, Personal & Home loan, ICICI pru life heavy premium Insurances alongwith that I have Salary A/c which is having very good balance through out the year. I am paying my bills in regular fashion, no cheques got bounced every since last five years. Despite of that I have got recovery agents to my home and humuliated me so much in front of all my relatives and neighbours. When I asked the ICICI bank the same I have got following replies

                              Customer Care: We haven't sent any body, we dont have any recovery agents they are illegal.

                              after this reply i have handed over guys to local police

                                It is very shameful & regreted act that icici bank people have done.
                                they have taken 5,311.35 rupees from my saving account against credit card no.[protected] without any prior information & knowledge, the same act they people have done last year when they have debited 9800/- from my saving account.

                                The credit card no. [protected] have not being used & also have been returned back to them . but they have calculated some outstanding of rs. 32/-( thirty two only) & against that outstanding they have taken more than 15000/-(fifteen thousand) rupee. this is the way they people are treating to their customer.

                                So Kindly help me to get my money back.

                                  Dear Sir;

                                  I am hereby loding an official complaint to you, of the very same nature has been addressed to Icici Grievance redressal department, but i donot share much hope with them on attending to the nature of the complaint.

                                  Kindly note this complaint is in regards to my Icici credit card No: [protected], wherein Icici staff from JB Nagar branch has extorted me since the last 6 months on the basis of the following facts:
                                  1) The have given me extortiona and abusive calls to the effect.
                                  2) They have breached my office space by sneding their executives to my Office, past office Interwear Exports, wherein they have abused and extorted the accountant of the office, threatening me on the ground that they will go to my sons school and collect money from me from there.
                                  3) They have sent fake subpoenas and summons to try to intimidate me.
                                  4) In a recent incident they came to my recent Office Melite International, and spoken to Miss Rupa Kanunoga of Melite, and told her I have done fraud on the company's name with Icici bank,.
                                  5) The executive has even mailed my company staff my credit card statements, which is a clear cut breach of client confidentiality.

                                  These and many other modes have been used by Icici bank JB Nagar branch staff to coerce me into making payments. I ask you, is this what Icici bank doing is it legal, or lawful inder the Fair parctice agreement and client confidentiality agreement & banking code of conduct.

                                  I know for fact that in the past icici bank's extortions has reached to the level that people have commited suicide. I wish to make sure in case something happens to me the blame will be on Icici bank for the extortion on my part.

                                  I hereby inform Icici that I am putting Cease and desist and to keep only written communication to me on the email id provided as I want to keep written mandate for all communication and i would like this matter to be investigated and a just and fair reply given to me on the nature of this complaint.

                                  Further on the same if no resolution of satusfactory response is received I will be sending a written complaint to RBI ombudsman to address these issues with icici credit card.

                                  ICICI Bank Credit Card — Access of payments extorted by ICICI

                                  Hi,

                                  I had a credit card from ICICI Bank which I had terminated after 6 months of issue date after paying the charges in Full & Final. Even after 4 years of termination of this card, ICICI kept calling me and demanding Rs.3, 182 (please note this amount has been at this level since past 4 years...no interest, no late payments have been added by them on this!!!) however, I requested them at several occasions to please let me have the details of the transactions, which they plainly refused and finally I got a call yesterday (1st Sept, 2008) from the "deposed" Civil Department of Govt. Of India" asking me to eiher pay now, or they will get me summoned by the courts within 48 hours, to which I succumbed to this threat and paid up! I paid the money which I did not owe them! (ICICI is just a white callered extortionist).

                                  Please advice, how can I claim this amount back from the bank and at the same time get a written confirmation that I do not owe anything to ICICI bank.
                                  I want to
                                  make sure that it is very important to see whether or not his is something
                                  that is going to improve in many way.
                                  You are unwise in giving out your credit card number and name on the Internet. I think that this shows that you are not rational.

                                    Hi,

                                    I, Naveen Kumar Settykar using ICICI Credit card since 2 years.I have been offered EMI for the transactions i made.But not when i try to convert a transaction into an EMI Customer Care people say EMI is not available.There is no information from ICICI people regarding this.I want to convert the amount into an EMI.Not being informed is like cheating. I dont have amount to pay the full bill now.What shud i do now?

                                    I am Somasundaram using ICICI Credit card for more than 3 years.I have been offered EMI for the transactions i made.I have converted a transaction done on july also. Keeping that in mind I swiped for amount of 24, 000, But when i asked for conversion, they are saying EMI option is not available.They also said that this was due to a corporate change. For junk things the icici will send mails, i want to know why they didnt send mail to me regarding this change. We cannot call the customer care now and then to get updates. I have to look out for money now.

                                    I am P.Harish Kumar Reddy and I hold ICICI Salary account and credit card # [protected] from past 2 years with ICICI bank. In July I have converted my purchase to EMI. Based on that I have swiped my card for Rs 29000 and opted for EMI. But now Cutomer care people are saying that they don't have EMI option. This should be informed to all the credit card customers. It is like cheating.
                                    I don't have the full amount to pay now. Is there any other option available other than paying the amount in full.

                                    I am keerthi kumar and i have been using ICICI credit card for 2 years. Last year i had swiped 50, 000 and converted it as EMI. I paid all EMI amounts. Yesterday i.e.[protected] again i swiped 50, 000 for my sister marriage. When i called to customer care for convert EMI they said it is not available. Regarding this why they didnt update me earlier. It is really cheating. My statement date is Nov 15th. I am unable to pay the full amount at a time. What should i do?

                                    I have been using ICICI Credit card for the past 1 year. During the time ICICI Lombard forced me to take one Mediclaim policy using my New Credit card. Initially I refused. But they forced me and convinced the benefits and payments options using the EMI options. Then I accepted and I'm paying everymonth without fail. But last week I swiped 30000/- for marriage and asked for EMI options. I called to customer care and informed to convert into EMI. They said its temporarily not available due to Bank policy. Is this good way of banking without informing the change of policy. Lot of customer are in trouble. If this situation extends then ICICI Bank have to loose many valuable customers in future.

                                      I am pitching into this complaint forum because I am not satisfied with the answers that i have received from ICICI Bank (Accounts Manager), whenever I approached them i am getting the same answers and know answers and they are not allowing me to speak to another level and even when i went to compain using direct compaint form i was asked to write a lot of details which i dont know.

                                      I am been continously approaching the team to answer this query, please assist me in this regard and i am a real frustrated customer of this bank this month.

                                      This bank basically taken back an existing facility without informing its customers, thinking that this facility is available in the bank i made a transaction, after making this i came to know that this facility is no longer available which is really frustrating.

                                      I have attached the conversation emails herewith for your reference, i request you to look into this and provide me an update in terms of justice as early as you can.

                                      We do understand your concern. However,we request you understand our limitations in this regard as we will not be able to deviate from the policy which is revised in July,2009.

                                      Currently, Bank is reviewing this service , hence the EMI facility is not offered at present as per the policy.

                                      You may make the payment within three months as you have informed but the interest charge will be levied for the part payment.

                                      The amount outstanding in your credit card account was Rs.11,466.93 according to the October statement.

                                      We have not received the total amount due towards the same. Hence, the interest charge is levied as part payment is received towards your card dues.

                                      According to the card holder manual, interest charges are accrued if you make a payment for minimum amount outstanding or a payment less than total amount outstanding or if no payment is made.

                                      If total amount outstanding is paid before due date of a statement, interest charges will not be levied.

                                      Interest is charged based on the following criteria:

                                      -+ On the transactions in previous statement from the respective transaction date till the statement date

                                      -+ On the total amount outstanding from the statement date till the part payment date

                                      -+ On the remaining amount outstanding balance till the next statement date

                                      -+ On the fresh purchases done thereafter, till the next statement date.

                                      Rate of interest @ 3.40% is applicable for your ICICI Bank Credit Card whenever a part payment is being made and for any Cash Withdrawal.

                                      We are concerned on you being dissatisfied. We hope you understand our limitations in this regard.

                                      I have made the above transaction using my credit card [protected] thinking that I can convert this transaction into EMI as I was using ICICI bank EMI facility from more than a year. When I visited internet banking it was not allowing my to convert my transaction to EMI and when I called up phone banking I came to know that ICICI bank stopped providing EMI facility to its customer.

                                      My questions are:

                                      1. Why is this not informed to customers when an existing facility in the bank is taken back? , if it is informed I would have not done this transaction at all.
                                      2. Why should I pay interest for the transaction when I wanted to convert this transaction to EMI

                                      I am a customer for ICICI bank from more than 2 years and I was very happy with the facilities that ICICI bank provided me and all of a sudden it stopped an existing facility without informing the customers which is really a reputation loss for the bank.

                                      Now I don?t want to pay interest for the transaction and if in case I was made to pay any interest I am thinking to put a case against the bank and I will definitely raise my voice as a customer.

                                      I too faced the same problem today and I was informed by the bank that this EMI feature has been stopped temporarily since June without any prior notice and this is really not acceptable and we want this to be taken to the consumer rights commission to file a case against the bank.. We as customers plan our expenses based on the EMI and if this is stopped suddenly, then this really spoils all our other commitments...I kindly request you to take action against this... I dont want to disclose my card information here as it might lead to misuse of my card .. so if ICICI team wants to reach me to proceed further on this issue, call me on my mobile number..

                                        Sir,
                                        I got a call from ICICI Bank lawyer on 12.09.09 at 12.10 PM that I have to pay Rs. 78,000 on my ICICI Bank credit card which was issued from delhi branch to me. But I have never use or applied for any ICICi Bank card in delhi.
                                        Now they have given an ultimatum that by 12.09.09 2.00 PM I have to pay the amount or else i have to come to the court on 14.09.09 at 10:00 AM or else any thing can happen and any action can be taken but they refused to give any ther details and when I am trying to contact the concerned all phones are coming switched off. i am very tensed and cannot decide on what to do. please guide
