Hello, I am hereby submitting STRONG complaint for having the bill with additional charges of SMS MT for which I disagree and looks fraudulent. I was a Pre-paid customer and thought to have a Postpaid connection with corporate policy of 99Rs per month, so shifted from Pre to Postpaid connection. Since stared the postpaid connection ( last 3 bills or 3 months ), I am getting the bills with additional SMS –MT charges which is literally fraudulent. Despite of these deduction there is no new game or any power service observed in mobile. This is fraud happening it seems as by mistake also we click to download the game or any power tools service (SMS MT charges), the same thing should be accepted by Customer/me in this case by providing credit/debit details. IDEA service is blindly accepting these things on behalf of Customer and then in bill they are adding to get the amount from Customer which is fraud or illegal. Point is – IDEA is deducting the amount from customer pocket without knowing the customer which is irrelevant and wrong idea. You have credit policy to increase the credit, but I would like to have a zero (0 rupees) credit policy. If want to purchase a game then we can very well give the details of CC/Debit card and purchase it online. Online shopping also always asks for bank credential then only the transaction happens. I request you to deduct by SMS MT charges from my bills and also would appreciate if you can give the ways to BLOCK SMS MT charges in mobile. Idea Customer Care persons are giving different reasons and no firm reason on how to stop the service. Till now I have received following reason but still the problem exists.
1) Your power tools are active and clicking on any service will charge -- Power tools and SIM tool kit vaulted(locked) after 1st bill, still the charges of SMS MT got levied in subsequent months.
2) Personally visited Bhandharkar office, Pune to resolve the query but said that the problem is due to WAP links which on click the subscription charges will be levied. Not exact answer. Still paid the SMS MT charges and thought to lock all application and removed all games.
3) Again after 3rd bill it showed SMS MT charges and call 198 and emailed couple of times regarding this problem but still NO solution.
On call, executive told that these charges comes under VAS but I have NOT activated any VAS service since my connection. Told to send SMS 'Stop' to 155223. Reply came from idea that there are no VAS service activated.
4) Now, I have stopped the net connection in last bill itself, STILL looks like these SMS MT charges are getting levied. Really feeling ridiculous and frustrated. If now the bill comes (feb 06, 2015) with SMS MT charges then surely i will not be paying anymore as i have suffered a LOT and need a resolvement from IDEA people as soon as possible.

Please help and do NOT reply to contact customer care as there is no hope left from these people. You can listen to voice recording of my number (98fivezerotwo85672 which i own) with different executive people and observe the service your people had given.

I am NOT going to pay any more SMS MT charges and request to revoked my earlier paid SMS MT charges. Please do the need full and consider this as a sincere request to help me out.

Facing similar issues with idea, charged with fraudulent sms charges. Customer care reps have zero knowledge and refuse to accept that there are issues with their system.
Have never seen crappy customer service like idea, especially Kalyan More

    This is to inform you that you I, Sayan Kanti Panda have 2 main complaint regarding your Service. I have told so many times, but the problem is still not solved. At first, I owned a Vodafone no. [protected]. I was very satisfied by Vodafone service. One day, one agent naming Mr, Raghu ( ph: [protected]), contacted with me. and, gives me lucrative false scheme to convert me from vodafone to idea. Unluckily, I agreed to their proposal. Raghu gives false information regarding the connection and mis sale me. My telephonic conversation with Mr. raghu was recorded in my mobile phone. If necessary, i can produce this audio files. Such type of mis selling is not expected from a BIG BRAND LIKE IDEA .Mr. Raghu has a shop in Thakurpukur. And second, Still I don't get any Bill for my[protected] no. . I called so many times . But, all in vain. The Bill is still not reached to me. One thing, I make to clear, if the bill not reached to me, I don't give any payment. And, any fine also don't given by me. If necessary, I am ready to go to TRAI to complaint against you. My humble request to you, send my bill within few days. and, Change my connection after 3 month to Idea Prepaid.         Dear sir My mobile no is [protected].My problem is described below Problem date:14-Jan-2015 On that day at evening time i required sms pack due to my high usage so i was dial *121# than i was see many options but i cant found what i required so press for more option than i wasnt see again options so i press 10 for more option at this time i was see menu for sms packs i was entered in that option again i was entered in Rs.9 pack that shows me sms charge 10ps per sms for 30 days so i activated that by confirming after that i was got a conformation msg that u will be charged 20ps per sms instead of 10 ps!!! I was shocked by see this after that msg i was think that its may be company mistake so i tried to send msg to my own number but i was charged Rs.1 for single sms instead of 10 ps or 20 ps i was too much shocked now!!! I was charged so for solution i was call in 198 helpline but executive refused my problem told me to go to idea retail shop now i will go to consumer court for claim big amount on company with all proofs.

I have taken the SIM card recently & suddenly I found the Video Talkies Subscription has been activated in my number without my request & Rs.35/- has been deducted from my main balance without my permission. I have already deactivated that unwanted service which was pushed to me forcefully. I request to refund Rs.35/- to my above mobile number immediately.

            Dear Sir/ma`m, This is to inform you that I have been getting repeated calls for the past 4-5 months for a bill payment of around Rs2600 for an idea post paid connection. I had taken the sim in July or August 2014. But as it was not activated for any use, I had broken and thrown the same that time. I don`t know how these illiterate and indisciplined idea guys are claiming a bill of some amount for quite a no. of months. I am not able to understand that without using the sim for a single minute how is it possible to generate a bill. I had been ignoring their calls as I thought that it was their misunderstanding of some kind but again today, a lady named Nisha gupta from a no. [protected] called me and was talking nonsense in a highly indisciplined, disrespecting and irating tone kindly make sure stern action is taken against this lady and the the mobile service providers.               Hi Team, I had recharged my 3G data of 2 GB twice and as per Customercare I had used more than 1.8 GB within a time period of less than 20 mins. I even had not downloaded a file of 50 MB but data is finished. I am an IT Engineer and is very much aware what i am doing with my internet connection. In attached screenshot you can see that for 3 hours and 40 mins data usage is less than 60 MB but for the same work data usage is 2 GB in period of 10 hours. Then I tried to get the reason for the same but no solution received. Number on which I had faced the issue is [protected]. I had visited IDEA Showroom from where I had purchased the number and IDEA Datacard as well as I tried to reach Area Manager, Sales Manager but no one responded to my call. Called customer care and didn't get any resolution or satisfactory answer. Please help me in getting refund of my amount. I am reachable on number [protected]. Regards Deepak Kakkar

              Hi Team,

              Received a call from IDEA today but still they are not ready to agree that there was something wrong from their end. Guy explained me that min speed provided by IDEA is 1 Mbps and Maximum speed is 2 Mbps. He also shared the information that within time period of less than 20 minutes is showing more than 1.5 GB that is impossible to download on their network. I had logged calls multiple times with IDEA regarding speed issue and they never attended it, always reply from them was range is not their. In such scenario how that much data can be downloaded. Also we they are going to provide the above mentioned speed as well then also its not possible to download 1.5 GB file in that much time of 20 minutes. I am an IT Engineer and I am very much aware how much I am downloading on my system.

              No solution received till now and they are also not ready to escalate it from their end.

              My number is [protected] i am a regular user of idea from last 4 year but today i got a bad experience about idea. I checked my 3g offers and i recharged as shown in my offer that if i recharged for 251 i will get 2gb 3g data but after i recharger i didnt got it. I got only 1 gb. This is the first time im complaining about idea. Kindly please look after it and return my money or give me back the rest 1gb 3g data.

                  I received a bill for the latest month, wherein i see the charges of 45.00 Rupee for SMS MT.

                  I am not aware & no understanding about this charges. As per my knowledge i hardly sent a SMS. Kindly let me know the meaning of it along with the transaction details for which its been charged.

                  Kindy recorrect the bill and resend it within next 2 days to pay the amount Or let me know any alternative.

                        I have idea cell prepaid number[protected] since September 2014 in Delhi NCR I got a message on Dec 16: "Dear customer the validity of your connection is expired on[protected]. ..." I visited My Idea showroom in south Delhi; they said there is no problem with this number, you must have got a wrong message. After 3 days my network stopped working. I visited the My Idea showroom again, this time my number got activated in half an hour. Again on Jan 2, I got a similar message of expiry on[protected] when I was travelling. On my return, the sim was declared invalid. I visited My Idea show room 3 times, but the number is still invalid. I called My Idea customer service and they told me that this number can not be activated! Never thought that Idea took care of its customers like that. I still had balance on this around 160 Rs. and they want me to take a new sim. What a farce! Why would one take another sim after such a treatment. Sincerely, Yogendra P. Chaubey

                          they says every time technical issue.. first they ask you are using 2G-3G i said yes.. they said only 2G-3G network facing issue..
                          when i said i am not using any Internet connection... he went speechless and said.. we are working on this issue... at here technical problem...
                          we will sort out it.. when i ask about timing .. till what time this problem sortout.. they not commited any time duration.. like 2 days - 2 week - 2 month... nothing
                          only says we are working on this issue...
                          this is not the first time...
                          everytime support team give us same reply.. ( technical issue.. and we dont have more info.. )
                          i have 3 numbers.

                            Hello Friends, This is real review of my personal experience with Idea Mobile Operator recently. I was loyal customer to Idea and was using Idea Post Paid Corporate connection for almost 7 years. Due to Limited usage i contacted Customer care on Email and Telephonic to take an view to move from Post paid to Prepaid migration or port to other brand like vodafone or Airtel. Everyone advised to visit Idea center and fill form for post to Paid covert, i found thing so did the same. This was my First fault to decide migration, Idea store person informed me that connection will be start soon and will be out service for 2-4 hours of time, which was okay. Today it is 4th day and phone is out of service, imagine a 7 year old mobile out of service for 4 days. I prefer to wait for day visited Idea store and call customer care but they number is not Idea number contact vendor company. In spite of best effort not able to find number and existence and drop an email to customer care who has acknowledge but never think of replying with reason or inform customer. I am 7+ year old corporate customer and this is the service so cannot imagine what about normal single Idea buyer !!! This is third time i have such issue with company due to internal issues or wrong policies or no clear information moreover not to update customer or commit wrong things to book call. A long time ago they have barred my services after one week due to no payment and on several request i was able to activate the same. Later on they switch off Internet without any information. Cut the activated plans stating plan end of day and so on. I was expecting Idea will close connection for 4 hours and then everything will be good but never think of taking 4 days where i have already deposited the extra payment in advance clearing the whole outstanding. Good to be with brand instead and stuck in glitch of cheap offers or wrong commitments.

                            No one in company, who acknowledge and take responsibility to reply customer. This is 9th day Idea Connection is out of service and 7 continuous emails sent to [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com, appellate.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com, [protected]@idea.adityabirla.com, ccare.[protected]@idea.adityabirla.com> and no one response to yet. Calling Customer care on alternate days and no response from there as well, they are not aware and want to keep time pass. Deposited the Documents on My Idea Center Advanced Computer Services- TFR 548- Shakar Pur East Delhi last 8th-Jan-2015 with advance payment for future call bills for Idea number [protected] but connection closed same day but not activated still. Small communication gap is normal but this much is real Bad to think about to company to keep goodwill but looks like this is normal and that is why no one is responding and keeping mouth or hand shut to avoid to be in case.

                            Very good keep it up and enjoy your life and let me try something new to short out now being i am the subscriber unfortunately...

                            This is Atul Mohan, Using [protected] Idea number for last 7 + years and put request from Post to Prepaid migration to your My Idea Center Advanced Computer Services- TFR 548- Shakar Pur East Delhi on last 8th-Jan-2015 with advance payment for future call bills. I was informed that migration will take 3-4 days however number will be not active for 2-4 hours a day when actual migration will take place. My number got disconnected same or next day but since then no one is responding to email nor able to get help from Customer care number "198 and [protected]" no Idea portal complaint reply and number is out of service. This is really frustrating that company deactivates number and don't know anything about it and no one take responsibility to come and help customer. This clearly shows normal for company responsible person who knows a routine work and being customer cannot do anything other than request and if someone say something logical cut to phone case solved. In corporate world this kind of behavior is not good but i know lower people need to do what order to do...

                            Hi Idea support,

                            Finally, yes connection is establish on 12th day from disconnection. This was an awful experience being number not in service for 12 days in these is tough for any one but looks good for Idea being a normal process.

                            Need you to redesign your policy and correct mis-communication to avoid this for your normal customers. I hope you will understand and take an action on this.

                              My idea prepaid no. [protected] was suddenly barred from all services on 13/01/2015. On the same day morning I received a message asking me to submit my documents. Immediately within 15 mins I submitted all the documents to my nearest Idea office which is in Porvorim, Goa. The same day evening when I checked I found that there was no network coverage. When I called the customer care service no. I was told that the no. is deactivated as it was not used for the last 30 days which is absolutely wrong. The no. is Very Very important to me as I receive all the business calls on it.

                                  Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings! i am Satwant Singh, one Idea Post Paid User & mobile #[protected]. i would like to intimate to you that i had taken this plan in the Month approx Dec-Jan[protected]. each & every time i paid my bill whatever i was being used. Also, some advance amount paid throgh idea online bill payment services by me. i never did delay to pay the bill whatever i needed to pay. My concern is that i continued to use this Mobile service upto one year but i never satified with the Idea Customer Care executive responses. Actually, i took the Internet plan approx the Month, May-2014 & i continued to use upto next 3-4 months.Hence, i got some decrepancies in my bill details. Exceed bill paid by me beacuse they have activated unwanted Net Plan rather than my choice for which each & every time i called at Idea Customer Care Centre but executive people responded that they have noted my query & it would be resolved soon but never resolved. I never got any satisfactory justification on this. whebn i called them to convert my plan into Relievable & according to my choice but they were not doing but only they replied they have done it. when it was checked by me the same issue found again & again & i became tired to call them with same enthusism so iplanned to stop to use Idea Postpaid secrvice from the Month Sept, 2015 getting irritate. Also, my issue never resolved on priority, my salary was not enough to use the plan accordingly the Idea Executive so i got angry & decided not to pay the money until would not be received the right justification with my recovery o[censored]nwanted expenditure on my mobile used money. I always requested to stop the unwanted services but never done by them. But, when i wanted to convert the low plan into higher one they did soon & for Higher to lower uses they answered me to take the help of Idea Customer Care Store. Including all these above concerns it was tough to go behind the issues & i got more irritation from Idea'a executive they never heard & solved my problem but they raised my individual problem. Now, i wanted to say that i am not the fraud person to keep the balance of Idea but i need compromised on this. Sorry for my commitment on this. I request to you please look into it on priority & do the needfull to resolve this. My bill details like approx INR:7450, according to Idea Services but i am not able to pay this large amount. i may pay upto INR 2000 into two loan. Thanks & regards! As per my plan 299, i have 250mb free data then after completion of this i have added 100rs. 300MB pack. I have got Charges on Data Pack Pro-ration # as 576/- . The explanation i'm listening from your Customer care executive that..I have completed by 250MB in 14 days thats why i have charged for remaining data(ie.8mb per day).Which is not disclosed any where in the document . Its monthly and i can use it anytime and i can add a pack right. My question is i have 250mb free data for whole month, i can complete it anytime and activate new pack..what is the hell he is talking about and before activating my data i spoke to technical team regarding this and they never revealed about this. As per my knowledge i never authorized this kind of proration. I have not changed my plan then why the hell prorate comes into picture. I need explanation on this. otherwise ill complaint against you as i never authroized you people to charge me on daily bais and still im using same plan so i should get total 250mb quota free and i should not be prorated,

                                    Just received Charges Data pack Pro-ration # 674.60..this was after adding 1Gb data pack in the middle of the month..the notification of pro ration were provided but the charges applicable as pro ration was not.This is a deliberate attempt to increase the billing amount by mentioning 'pro ration charge' and not the actual amount. i would have never subscribed to the data pack if i knew the pro ration charge applicable will be more than my actual monthly bill.

                                    i would request your company to disclose the amount during such charges at the very moment the customer is planning to subscribe to any such or services.It would be extremely convenient for us as not to open the bill and see a surprise amount. And help to restore your consumers trust.

Now more than a month later i am recieving a mail saying to pay 5k for data pro ration. Seriously are the owners of idea so bankrupt that they are so desperate to pull money out of customers. Nowhere it is mentioned that data pro ration will be charged. The most pathetic things is the idea customer service. While adding extra data pack no body mentioned about data pro ration. The level of cheapness is in its height for you idea people. Get an idea for yourself first. I wont pay that 5k. Cheap network. I would make sure all your social networking sites are filled with this pro ration thing. Let everyone know what actual idea is.

                                    I too had the BAD experience. I subscribed for i-plan 999. I made a adjustment in the data/call subscription within the same plan. As a shock, I got a extra amount of Rs 5000 in my bill saying data pro-ration.

                                    They says all stupid explanations. The bill is almost 4 times the actual amount.

                                        Dear Sir, My Mobile no is [protected] As per attached screen shot from PAYTM site I have done 3G Data recharge of 126 Rs (1GB) on 9th JAN 2015 and my recharge was done successfully and I have got successful recharge message “RCH done. MRP Rs 126 NEW BAL, Plan : 1 GB, 3G data valid for 30 days”. But when I am using internet data charges are deducted from my talk time balance and 3G data balance remain same. When I am checking my data balance using *125# number it shows “Data Bal in our account 1027.60 MB valid till FEB 08 2015”. When i have called Customer Care and they don't know about ISF, Next day I went to idea store to ask regarding and they told ISF means Idea Smart Phone. I don't have a Idea Smart Phone. They are not written ISF meaning nor given terms and condition for it on their web site. I have requested to revert my balance but they denied my request told me it is not possible. Please help me
