I am using IDEA 2G data plans from 6 months. I am getting worst quality. Connection is always made but data transfer is only 1 KB. I have tried 3G for 1 month and had same experience. This is against there TV advertisement which states faster speed and high quality data transfer. I would like to register complaint against IDEA cellular for misguiding there users and complaint of my frustration for the last 3 months even after paying for the 2G and 3G service properly.
I am expecting appropriate action from TRAI.

I raised complaint with IDEA customer care and IDEA complaint request id is 1-[protected].
Today, I have received call from IDEA for above complaint. Customer care does not have exact solution. He said that problem is resolved and some area has congestion problem. All GPRS/3G users are not supported at a time. That's why some get just connection and not data transfer. He has refused to give this info in written. I have argued him about this and also told him I will get this problem in future. After some time, he directly disconnected call.
This is totally misguiding the consumers that IDEA can not support the big number of internet users at a given time. And even though they sells their internet products to user saying FASTER internet with good data quality. They also advertise that way using big Bollywood stars.

      I am using Idea postpaid connection [protected]and I had never applied for Reactivate my GPRS Plan. But Suddenly i have charged in my current billed for GPRS services which is totally wrong. I have I have Register Complain[protected] But till time I have not received any proper response from your end. If problem not solved then I will go for consumer court. Waiting for Your Reply.

      Idea Cellular Ltd. ac. no. 1.10218839 Bill no.[protected] dt. 08.06.12 for Rs. 3293.29
      The above bill was received on my mail today in the evening. Rs. 1608.96 for my mobile no [protected] and [protected] which is in the name of my duaghter and Rs. 1684.43 for BALANCE CARRIED FORWARD.
      Earlier by various SMS I was intimated of Rs. 1168.04 for both the above mobiles, how it has become Rs. 1608.96 now is beyond my imagination. As i did not receive physical copy of the bill I have not paid the amount so far and insisted for the bill. I find no use talking to the customer services of the company as they do not solve the problem rather insist on what they say. And the customer service call is charged with lot of advertisement at our cost.
      I took two 3G NETSETTERS after payment of 5 months rental in advance. For the last occassion the company is charged rental for one month which i did not pay and the company disconnected services on both the Netsetters. After followup they realised the mistake on their part and resumed services. The amount of rental Rs. 1685.40 for both the netsetters charged earlier has been shown as BALANCE CARRIED FORWARD with a slight difference Rs. 1684.43.
      The company's accounting system is faulty and misleading which causes uncalled for mental harrassment to its customers. I am a senior citizen and unable to do running around.
      I am compelled to seek your help in the matter.

          I had recently taken IDEA DATA CARD connection from Idea show room located at Basheerbagh. By the time I take this connection, the Employee in the Show room said and promised the following.

          1) After taking the connection, as welcome customer 5GB download will be given to the new customer.

          2) After completing the 5GB download, with recharge for Rs.950/- will be given for UNLIMITED BROWSING as well as UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS will be given in this new 3G IDEA DATA CARD with the same speed without decreasing the speed for the month. When I asked how is it possible as no network is giving and according to my knowledge there should be some cut-off for speed, he said that in this new technology it has changed and no doubt it is unlimited for both browsing and downloads.

          3) He said if we are not satisfied with the speed after checking (Once we buy the Data Card), he takes the initiative to UNLOCK the device and give us so that we can use any network for Internet with the same speed without any fail.

          Now after completing the 5GB of the download when I went to recharge for Rs.950/- as specified by the employee, now they are saying that it is not unlimited but will get only 6GB download per month. I was shocked on hearing this and reminded him what he told me and asked why he cheated me. By asking this they are telling some stories instead of giving the correct answer. I said that other networks are giving nearly 10GB for Rs.1000 so I will migrate to other network and so as promised by him UNLOCK the device and give it to me. For this also they are telling that it is not possible. When I reminded them that they promised to unlock and give to me again the same old stories are repeated.

          I was deeply disappointed and asked to return my money back taking the device as they had given the false informations and false answers. For this also they are not accepted and telling that nothing will be done and if I want, go and complaint in the police station as I like. The behavior is very worst and also used some harse words when I am questioning them.

          I had talked to one of the lady in the show room named Parvin as said that she is the in-charge and she raised a complaint on this and said she had sent the complaint to the Manager (Said his name is Mr. Ramesh. H). The complaint (No - 1-[protected]) is raised on Saturday i.e on 24th of November 2012 and said that to wait till Monday i.e., 26th of November 2012 so that I will receive a call and solve my problem. I also asked her to give me one copy of the complaint but she said that it is not possible for them to give and said she had mentioned all the points which I told her. After send the mail to the concerned person I also requested her to send the same mail to the NODAL OFFICER thinking that there will be a quick action and said she had forwarded the mail.

          But till now no one had called me or mailed me regarding my issue. Seems it look like they are not bothered what happens.

          So kindly help me out in solving the issue.

                  I had purchased new Idea sim at 16/11/2012 From arekere market Krishna Telecommunication Enterprises My no. is [protected] and sim no. is[protected] HLR-1.
                  So at the time of purchase retailer assure me that my sim would be activated in 4 days at Wednesday
                  21/11/2012 when i again went to his shop he told me it would take 2 days more, now Sunday 25/11/2012 yet it won't be activated so i call
                  distributor of the area and he told me my sim card will activated and services would be started on Saturday but on Sunday he'll not picking
                  up the phone.

                  I am holding a corporate connection no.[protected]Idea cellular) since 09.11.2010. I wanted an add-on connection with similar benefits, for which gave call to Mr. Vishal (contact no. [protected]) and handed over all necessary documents asked on 13.11.2010. A sim card[protected] was offered to me with an assurance of getting it activated within 24 hours. As on today ie. 19.11.2010 till 3:20 pm, it is not activated.
                  I had to continue using my vodaphone no. in roaming and kept calling this agent for 'n' no. of times. He does not bothered to pick the phone and reply and sent sms today ie. on 19th Nov that it will get activated by 3.00 pm today. I am still waiting for activation. The IDEA customer care showed their helplessness and simply asked to resubmit the documents. Is it not a kind of harassment and mental fatigue caused account of an irresponsible behaviour?

                    I HAVE BEEN IDEA 3G CUSTOMER. INITIALLY THEY USED TO SHOW 3G BALANCE EVERY TIME AFTER USAGE AUTOMATICALLY. BUT RECENTLY IDEA COMPANY STOPPED THIS FACILITY. NOW WE CAN NOT KNOW HOW THE BALANCE LEFT. EVEN IDEA STAFF DONT KNOW PROPERLY HOW TO GET THE BALANCE. EVEN WITH *125#, WE CAN NOT KNOW EXACT BALANCE. WHY? BECAUSE THEY WANT MORE RECHARGES. IF YOU KNOW BALANCE YOU USE LIMITEDLY. AND THEY CAN NOT CHEAT THE BALANCE
                    THEY SAY ONE MONTH VALIDITY. BUT AFTER 15 OR 20 DAYS FROM YOUR RECHARGE, YOUR BALANCE AUTOMATICALLY VANISHES AND YOUR SPEED WILL BE DEAD SLOW( 10 TO 15 MIN FOR WEBSITE OPENING). THIS IS EVEN FOR 950 RECHARGE.
                    IDEA PEOPLE ARE CLEARLY CHEATING AND LOOTING THE PEOPLE ON THE NAME OF 3G. SO DONT PURCHASE IDEA 3G SERVICES.

                      i have recharged my idea prepaid with RS.54 for taiff cutter on[protected]:09:21 using online recharge facility from ideacellular site. and i got conformation that my recharge was succesful, but plan was not activated even i didn't got any sms from company, then i talked to customer care ( mr. govind) he replied me that there is no any update so wait for 4 hours. my transaction id is 17722961 and reference number is MSPD[protected].
                      but still i didn't got plan or any refund from company. plz help me.

                      Idea — no activated scheme

                      not activated scheam

                      there is a scheam provided by the idea. which is provided to the prepaid subscriber. that includes auto acivated scheam having call charge of rs. 1/minute on any mobile

                      that scheam is till now not acivated on [protected] number

                      so, kindly activate that scheam

                      My number is [protected]. I observed that continuous messages of cricket scores are coming to my mobile through IZ-55456 and money is getting deducted because of that. It is not without my information and request. So please take necessary action to stop it and refund the taken amount taken from my account. Please deactivate this immediately. several times i called up the customer care for deactivating this. still i am receiving the message and loosing money

                          I HAD A PURCHASE OF A NETSETTER PAYING Rs 1700/- & WAS TOLD TO HAVE 2gb & 1 MONTH VALIDITY ON[protected].

                          AFTER PURCHASING I WAS TOLD THAT IT IS ACTIVE BUT MY COMPUTER DID NOT IDENTIFIED THE DEVICE AFTER INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE,

                          the executive from idea also seen the same fault,

                          after that it just worked for one day & then stopped responding.

                          When I apporched to outlet they told me my balance is nil, I asked them it can't be happen because I did not used that much data & to kindly show me my data usages.

                          It was surprising there was not even my name got registered as user in there database even after 22 days from purchase.

                          I think it is a very shameful thing for a well known company like Idea to not to register a customer even after 22 days from his purchase & not to provide proper service to him.

                          The customer care executive says that I had the total usages of my data & also he is unable to show it to me because as per his information my name is not yet updated in

                          & NOW IT HAS BECAME LIKE DEAD INVESTMENT FOR ME

                          Idea Cellular — faulty service

                          My mobile service connectivity has become faulty for the last two months and each time I get a call I have to run out of the house to continue the conversation.

                            Hello,

                            I took idea post paid connection through corporate plan and I am using this idea number for 8 months.
                            The details are as follow:
                            Plan Name: Idea Houseful PLAN
                            Mobile No: [protected]
                            Account No: 8.10634063.00.00.100236

                            When I got this number your executive asked me that you will get every month:
                            1. 400 (Local or STD any network) minutes free.
                            2. 400 (Local or STD SMS any network) free.
                            3. 512 MB GPRS Free.
                            However in my bill I observed that I am not getting SMS facility free and when I asked customer care they smartly said me that you will get SMS only for idea to idea and for others it is chargeable.
                            I didn’t carefully looked any previous bills as considering that idea is a reliable service provider but now I feel I am cheated and I looked previous bills and found in every bill they charged for SMS.
                            While I talked with customer care they also asked me this facility was previous active but now it has been changed.
                            The more surprisingly is that when I talked with more authorized person (the floor manager) he told me this plan was active in first 6 months and after 6 months it was chargeable.
                            Then I checked my previous bill and I found in every bill they charged for SMS.
                            And this proves they are neither accept their fault nor co-operating me and trying convenience through any other facts.

                            I asked the guy who gave me this connection and he tried to convenience me to change the number and will give you better plan (means trying to cheat me more).
                            And the worst and shameful words from the guy who gave me this plan (Idea sales person) was to don’t pay the bill and then maybe they will adjust the amount whatever they charging extra otherwise no need to pay the bill, I will give you another number with better plan.

                            Now you tell me who is the responsible and how I can resolve the problem?

                              sir mai ye kehna chata hu ki mobile company dwara aisi koi vyavastha nahi ki gaye hai ki customer agar koi ek tarrif apne mobile me dalwata hai aur agar galti se wahi tariff dusri baar karwa leta hai to woh recharge dobara ho jata hai jabki aisa nahi hona chaiye. ye mobile company ki manmani hai aur complain karne par bhi wo paisa refund nahi karti hai.                                 I had bought this idea netsetter usb modem (User name: Ajay Khodke). I used for a year and i did not encounter any problem.

                                On 17.09.2012 I recharged the data card (No [protected]) with payment of Rs 245. Prior to recharging it the device was in working condition that has been confirmed by your Idea retail outlet at Mahakalicaves road (Andheri East) after which I recharged it from the same Idea retail outlet.

                                But I were not able to get net connection with it. I uninstalled the idea net setter software & re installed it but again I couldn't able to get net connection.
                                Went to the idea shop, the executive there tried several times but couldnt unlock it so he sent it to the technical support center (Idea outlet at Marol Naka Andheri) from where it came after 7 days with the news that your SIM in the device is not working & so you have to purchase new device & they want me to buy new device of Rs 1700.
                                When I phoned to Idea customer care they assured the replacement of device & extension of validity. After 2 months 15 days they had replaced my device however during these days I lost the validity o[censored]sage pack (I have done recharge of Rs 245 for 1 GB downloading for 30 days validity on 17.09.2012) out of which I couldn't be able to use it even for a single second because of the mistakes of the My Idea Center. I want my recharge pack again or refund of my recharge (Rs 245). Even after providing mail copy regarding assurance from Idea Customer care by mail, My Idea Center (Fortune, Mahakali caves road, Andheri East) refusing to extend the recharge pack benefit.

                                    I G.Durga Bhaskar purchased Idea Mobile No.918 imei No.[protected] & [protected] on[protected]. My mobile got spoiled i.e No display and the same was handed over to the service centre on[protected] at visakhapatnam. But till date it was not handed over to me.

                                    Here i would like to say that a company like Aditya Birla Group is cheating people keeping tyeup with falthu mobile companies for which people are suffering.

                                    Even though i am having warranty, i could not get a new mobile nor the hand set got repaired by the concerned service authorities.

                                    I do wait for a day or two and if my problme is not solved i will approach Consumer Form for the redressay of my grievance.

                                        I change my IDEA Postpaid connection use portibility system on 04/09/2012. Now I used Airtel mobile postpaid connection and my mobile no is [protected]

                                        When I changed mobile secvice provider from Idea to Airtel though Portibility system I paid Rs 158/- on 30/08/2012 to IDEA for full and final payment and then IDEA permission me to change other (AIRTEL) service provider on 04/09/2012...

                                        But a long-long period gone and now idea to generate a bill (aprox.. Rs. 550/- ) and bother me to pay outstanding payment
