Dear Sir/Madam,
I am Sendil Kumar from Bangalore and My Barclay Loan ID: [protected],
This loan was given to me, based on CITI bank loan good track record on top of CITI Personal loan.
On Last Feb 12th'2008 got a loan from Barclays bank and the disbursed loan amount was INR 516, 000.
Payments were made on HDFC cheque in favour of
1) CITI Bank A/C LGABAS[protected] HDFC (Cheque no.63776) - INR 338, 628.00
2) Axis Bank Ltd Sendil Kumar A/c [protected] - HDFC Cheque no.35958 - INR 164, 228.00
However, CITI Bank A/C LGABAS[protected] HDFC (Cheque no.63776) - was given with wrong Loan id and it was unable to close the CITI bank loan. (Dated: 12/02/2008)
Then I had to request for new Cheque from Barclays Bank, for which I had to send indemnity bond, and then they Re-issued new Cheque dated on 11/06/2008.
During this tenure I had to keep on Paying for both CITI and Barclays for which I went for an EMI of (INR 25, 000/-) on both the Banks.
Closed CITI personal loan and continued to pay EMI of (Rs15, 157/-) to Barclays bank.
Since It got Difficult for me to maintain paying EMIs for both the bank during that phase it become difficult for me pay the EMI’s (However by this time I was able to Clear all Loan Amount of CITI).
So I requested Barclays to Increase my tenure plan and reduce EMI for which I raised a request and sent mail to customer Services (Dated: 8th March 2009).
I was waiting for the reply but before that only Barclay Finance and recovery team started calling me continuously harassing me as well my family members for the pending Loan amount.
Later Barclays bank issued me a settlement letter Ref No: MUM/319/6500 (Dated: 18th Nov 2009)
For 2, 80, 000/-(Settlement offered up to 15th Feb'2010)
The amount was really high for me to clear it off in such limited time frame. However, fed up with continuous harassment calls and torture I thought of clearing it of within the specified time. I was able to clear Rs 1, 75, 000 (within the specified time of 15th Feb’2010) after which it really got difficult for me and I requested few more month time for clearing of the settlement to Barclay Finance.
I was really trying hard and sincerely to clear the settlement amount because even I was fed up with the harsh and inhuman behavior Shown by Barclays towards me. Still they forcibly collected 4 postdated cheques from me and asked me deposit the money below ICICI Barclays bank PLC account.
I was continuously making the payment to ICICI[protected] Barclays bank PLC account and Cleared Rs 70, 000 from my side and I’ve sent scanned chalan copy to them through mail id (Rameshm.[protected]@gmail.com) (Metro Associate's Enterprises [MG Road, Bangalore])
As of now my outstanding Balance is 35, 000/-
last week, I've got a call from Rakesh Kotak Mahindra bank, New thippasandra branch legal department team, asked me to clear outstanding Barclays bank personal loan due as 3, 39, 000/-

I’ve no idea about that Kotak Mahindra bank acquired by Barclays bank. Without any prior notification, suddenly called me asking about loan due amount.
Threatening me as Warrant issued and coming home to create a nuisance to my family.
I would Insist you take necessary action against these people like these and consider the below fact.
During the tenure when there was a delay By Barclays to Re-Issue a valid Cheque I had to bear extra 40, 000 to Clear CITI Loan.
I would really appreciate if you can adjust my Pending loan amount of INR 35, 000 for the Extra amount incurred by me because of the delay in Re-Issue of Valid Cheque by You(Barclays).
It’s really Irritating and annoying for me now and even I am losing out on my Patience. I am tax abiding National and this is the worst Experience I had ever had with any Bank. If I ever knew this is the kind of behavior shown to me for taking up a Loan then I would never ever had gone to a Bank like this.
The worst part is they have started threatening me and my Family Members when the Issue can be handled in much more decent or a proper way.
