I am writing today to complaint against the defective lenovo smartphone delivered by flipkart and the unsatisfactory service provided by the authorized levono service center.
I had bought this lenovo vibe k5 note smartphone from flipkart e-commerce portal on 6th june 2017. The smartphone was initially identified as defective due to no network signals coming up and the software being crashed frequently. Hence, flipkart technician identified the issue and replaced the smartphone with a new one on 22nd june 2017.
I was using the smartphone until 1st june 2018 despite of the device being heated up quickly and the software being crashed frequently.in addition, the smartphone was taking log of time (Sometimes more than 30 minutes) when restarted/rebooted.
On 1st june 2018, i had kept the cellphone for charging as usual for 30 minutes. After sometime i tried to take it out from charging and noticed the smartphone heat up a lot and i was not even able to tough it. Since then, the cellphone is in dead state and the hotness remained for next couple of hours. Currently the smartphone is not switching on since friday.
I approached flipkart on the issue and was told to contact authorized lenovo service center. As per their advice, i approached the authorized lenovo service center near marathahalli, bangalore on 1st june 2018 at 1:00 pm. Due to technical issues at their end, they were not able to take the complaint and advised me to approach the service center in koramangala, bangalore for immediate rectification of the issue as well as resolution. I walked-in to the service center located at koramangala on 2nd june 2018 and the service center associates along with the manager informed me that there is a major server outage across india and were not even aware of the tentative date when the server would be up to create the job sheet for their customers.
It is highly disappointing to experience repeatedly the defective product and the disgusting customer service from lenovo. I am tired of approaching lenovo service center for the resolution. It has been already 8 days and there was no updates from the service center on the smartphone. After multiple follow-ups by calls, i came to know the motherboard has been replaced and one more item is yet to be replaced.
Once if any issue arises with the motherboard, the device is either useless as the issue occurs even after replacing the motherboards or it goes dead. I have faced these type of issues earlier.

I went there with a problem with reboot of my phone.They told me that it was a POP case and need to mail the higher authorities and correct the warranty error on their system and that will take 3 days.After 3 days, they delivered as promised but when I inserted my sims, both weren't detecting.I went the next day and they tried updating the software or something but, nothing worked out.So, they said it is a motherboard issue and it needs to be replaced which will take another 3 days max. They said they'll order by mail and will be delivered after 3 days.Now when I call them, they talk like they aren't even aware what was going on there and being irresponsible. When I call Lenovo's head office customer care, they enquired about the complaint no., checked, and said that the service centre agent's haven't yet updated the complaint sheet details after I met them for the IMEI issue.My work is done using my phone and I need it urgently.
