I had booked an Oyo room from 30th April 2022 to 11th May 2022 at. I did initial payment of Rs.7k and got a call from OYO consultant on 30th April to complete the payment with a discounted amount of ₹11, 555.
After call he contacted me in whatsapp with my booking Id, my place of stay, duration of stay and even gave me account details of a bank account with beneficiary name "OYO Rooms" (that is why it didn't seem fraudulent) to which I sent the 11.5k and even had a OYO rooms business whatsapp account and DP.
I completed that, but when I reached hotel they are informing me that I have only paid initial ₹7k and rest 13k is pending. Customer care informed me that this was a case of fraudulent transaction and said I will get a callback from corresponding team and a refund. Which hasn't happened till now after 4 days.
This is a case of OYO rooms data breach which I will inform to media and police if I don't get proper response ASAP.
