I booked a ticket via redbus, the trip id was tnap58282587. The itinerary was a a/c bus with lower berths for me and my family. I have paid a huge amount as it was festive season. On the day of travel, i got a call from the bus operator stating that the bus which i booked was break down and they were providing an alternative bus. The alternative bus provided was a non a/c bus with upper berths, i conveyed to the bus operator that i am not interested in it and i want my ticket cancelled with full refund. I was told to get it touch with redbus and get it done.
I raised a complaint through redbus immediately, then after some time, i cancelled my ticket and requested for full refund (I was supposed to this instead of keeping the ticket open).
But now, i have been told by redbus that i will receive the refund amount as per the cancellation policy only which is 1/4 of the ticket value.
I feel that i am entitled for a full refund here because it is not my mistake or reason for cancellation, as the bus type and seats were changed and i was not interested in it.
