I bought Reliance BIG TV DTH a month ago from one of the dealer and I face the following problems since I bought it.
1: Firstly they install it after 5 days.
2: On the 2nd day after installation I receive only one channel i.e Gyan Darshan for 10 days.
3: On the 11th day the problem was solved but only for 15 days and on 25th the same problem occured and till now it's not solved and I suffered a lot.
4: After calling the customer care they adviced to keep STB on stand by mode first for 2 minutes then for 2 hours and then for 4 hours and the same advice's from 3 days.

But till today (12/7/11) no engineer has visited for solving the problem. 3-4 days before one engineer called us from Hiyyat (Bhikajicama) area (2 km from vasant vihar) saying that I will be comming within 10 minues after that no telephone. Kindly take appropriate action against him why he has not attended my complaint & kindly let me know immediately.

    I purchased 2 Set top boxes of Reliance Big TV on 2nd November 2008. I registered for installation on 3rd and I was confirmed that within 72 hrs, installation will be completed. But the unskilled installation workers from their Service Dealer M/s. Vivek Services came around 7.30 p.m. on 7th November 2008.
    We already had a Tata Sky DTH Connection and we stopped making subsciption to them. The Dish Antenna of Tata Sky was connected to one set top box by these unskilled workers and no picture is received from this set top box. We make so many compliants, representative from Big TV Visited and confirmed that the Set Top box is corrupted and needs replacement. Vivek Services says our job is only installation. As on now my problem is not rectified.

    I request all Chennai people to check the Big TV installation people whether they are belonging to Vivek Services and if so please be careful and you also will land into problem like me.

      I’ve taken BIG TV on 18th of October; it was working fine with all the features. On 29 of October it automatically went off I made a request on the same day to resolve this issue...They have given the complaint on[protected] with an 48 hr SLA to resolve this Issue, but till now they didn’t turn up to resolve this issue, every day I have to give wakeup call to listen their excuses, and I have to obey their immoral commitment. This is really ridiculous and no way acceptable, enough is enough...!

      Extending the audience as I did not get any response till now.
      I'm forwarding this email further to the Mr Anil Ambani group...
      here is the current status of my issue - I call the customer support after the SLA given for the new complaint according to them which indeed is my original complaint and only 1 complaint i reported till now after taking the BigTV new connection[protected] and[protected], now the customer support still says that the issue is in problem solving state and as usual does not know when the issue will be resolved nor can he get his manager on the call for my concern but still expects me to wait and watch the show...


      Not sure of what to do next after calling the customer support almost 33 times for a single complaint...I'm thinking to give the dummy box (i mean BIG tv)and the antenna to Mr Anil Ambani as a donation so that he can make 1 more BIG TV customer and become the world's 2nd richest man.

      Hats off to Reliance...and ALL the best to Ambani group to make some easy money from a middle class indian family and giving BIG promises like BIG TV...

      To further bring this issue to your greater attention, the complaint number mentioned in the email below[protected] is closed without resolving the issue.

      Reason for closure - There was some software problem.

      Did the customer support guys call the customer to check if the issue is resolved before closing the complaint number - NO (A big NO)

      I called the customer support again, they created a new complaint[protected] and are giving me a new SLA of 48 hrs.

      So I logged the 1st complaint on Wed (29th Oct), the issue is not resolved till now i.e Tuesday (4th Nov). so what is the idea behind giving a false SLA to the customer and fooling the customer.

      I have asked the customer support guys to take that Box ...i mean BIGTV box and the antenna and return my money back... Unfortunately they are not ready to do that also for me.

      So I have lost my Rs 2000 by going for a BigTV connection which is of no use. Is this how Reliance and Mr Ambani is making money in India?

      Below are few of the comments on Bigtv for your reference. I hope you either close the customer support altogether or improve it to the extent that they have basic customer support skills and know how to respect the customers when they call and not disconnect the call. As of now they only know to give excuses and false promises.

      Dear Sir, Ihave installed your Big TV on5.01.09. On12, 01, 09 morning there was no picture on the screen.Signal is lost.Inconvenience is regretted is displayed.I made a complaint to the customer care toll free number[protected] and I was given the service request number 85644288. On 13.01.09 at 12.34 hrs some technician rang up from a land line 3245 1842 telling me that he would be coming within half an hour.Nobody came.I again complained and the service request no. is 85730529.Again on 14th I called up and received theservice request no.85843707 at 7.10 pm.Again today Irang up, complained to receive the service request no.85912162 at 3.45 pm.Please let me know how to extract better technical service from your great organisation. Iam leaving it to you to to justice to a customer who has opted for your TV with great faith. N.Ramasubramanian

        I purchased a LG 29" CTV from Chandra Traders, Velachery, Chennai on 19th of October 2008. LG had offered FREE Reliance Big Tv DTH connection as Deepavali offer. On 28th of October, the trader called and gave the BIG TV offer coupon and asked me to follow up with Reliance customer care centre. On 28th Oct. I called customer care centre and booked for conection of BIG TV by giving the coupon number which was accepted and in turn on the spot I was given the work order number [protected] and assured that the connection will be effected within 72 hours. After expiry of 72 Hours, I called the custer care centre of Reliance BIG TV and a complaint number 79161800 and assured that the connection will be done within 48 Hours. A representative Mr. Vijayan called me on mobile and asked whether I have the Set Top Box with me so that he can execute the work immediately. I said the work order issued was on LG-Reliance offer hence the set top box has to be brought by him only. The representative said, he will check up with his office and get back to me. From then onwards, I have been calling the Reliance customer care center[protected] everyday for nothing. The incidence started on 19th October and till 4th November No action has been taken by anybody.
        Hence, I putup this complaint to show, how the MNC'S like LG and Reliance are serving their customers.Atleast by seeing this complaint which is brought to the knowledge of the WORLDWIDE, I hop, I get the justice.

          I HAD PURCHASED RELIANCE BIG TV ABOUT A MONTH BACK.WHEN I APPROCHED RELIANCE TV TECHNICAL DEPT. FOR INSTALLATION OF DISH ANTENA THEY ASKED ME FOR NOC FROM MY HSG.SOCIETY FOR INSTALLATION.MY SOC. HAS NOT GRANTED ME PERMISSION TO INSTALL DISH ANTENNA. MY QUERIES ARE AS FOLLOWS,

          Reliance Big TV — ON INSTALLATION OF BIG TV

          Maine eak reliance BIG TV 25.10.2008 ko liya, jiska card no.[protected], work order no.1428221, complain no.78903882 hai. Mera instalation 72 hrs. me kah kar 30.10.2008 tak nahi kiya, aur mere se bad ke BIG TV ka instalation kar diya gaya.Eske liya maine kai bar help line no. par complain kiya, lakin kuch nahi hua, aur 30.10.2008 ko help line no. par call karne par instalation done bata rahe hai. Enke es kam se meri diwali to khrab hua hi, mai 3 din se bahut tension me bhi hu, aur mera social & econimical loss bhi hua hai. Mai kai karu
          i have big tv on 25oct2008, after some day i changed my home, after that location change and my big tv automatically un-subscribed.
          tell me why it happen???

            I have bought BIG TV with the hope that they would offer prompt services in case the need arises. I have actually opted for 'Telugu Plus' option for regional channels but BIG TV has given me 'Tamil Plus'., which is of no use to me. When I asked Customer Care to have it changed to Telugu plus, they made a note of it and gave me a complaint number. But it is three weeks now and still they are not able to do that. But every time I call CC they say it will be done in 2 hrs or at the max. of 24 hrs. It seems BIG TV does not have any interest in supporting its customers. I sincerely advise everyone NOT to opt for BIG TV but go for AirTel Digital TV, which I think would be a better option.

              This Bhaskar Polisetty VSS. I have taken BIG TV Connection in Chennai on 26/08/2008 through Reliance Web world, RA Puram Invoice Ref [protected]. My Smart card number is[protected].

              In the month of October, 2008 I have shifted from Chennai to Bangalore.

              As Instructed by the Big TV Customer Care, I have recharged my account for Rs.750/- towards uninstallation in Chennai and Installation in Bangalore. The recharge has been done on 07th October, 2008. The Recharge coupan numbers as as follows: [protected] (Rs.500/-), [protected] (Rs.200/-) [protected] (Rs.25/-) and [protected] (Rs.25/-).

              I have called up the customer care on [protected] and raised a complaint for Change of Address, Un-installation in Chennai, Installation in Bangalore.

              The Issue is :

              1. Till now the Un-installation / Installation had not taken place.
              2. I have contacted customer care requesting the status of the said complaint, I was shocked with the answer given by the Reliance.

              According to them the complaint has been closed with the comment that - Customer is un-willing to pay the relocation of expenses of Rs.750/-. But when I told them the voucher numbers and the date of recharge, they confirmed that the recharge had been done successfully.

              And again they have raised almost 7 complaints. In all cases the response has been updated as customer is un willing to pay the relocation charges.

              The first complaint has been given on 07th October, 2008 and today it is 01st November, 2008. I don't have any clue what I have to do. Call Centre executives not at all giving any professional response.

              There is no escalation process as such for the Reliance Big TV. I am suffering and harrassed by the Reliance BIG TV Team for almost one month even after paying the relocation charges.

              There is no other number to contact the senior people for BIG TV other than the toll free number.

              I have only option left out is to seek the help from the consumer court.

              I am really tired and wexed up with the services of Reliance BIG TV.

              As a last resort I am writing here to seek any other adivse.

                Dear Sir,
                I purchased big tv's set up box on 26th october from Mr.Manish jha, Sakchi, Jamshedpur and was promised its installation on the same day by 5.00pm but i receiver the work order for installation on 28th after contacting the customer care. Since the last 4 days i have been kept waiting inspite paying for the product. I have been calling the concerned person(Mr.Manish Jha) but either he doesnt pick up the phone or if he does so he only promises that it will be done by the end of the day. In this manner 5 days have gone by but im still waiting for its installation.

                  I have purchased Reliance BIG TV DTH box on 22/09/2008 from RK Global, No. 10, Ground Floor, 80 Feet Road, Next to Reliance Fresh, Banashankari 1st stage, Srinivasanagar, Bank colony Bangalore - 560 050. They have given closed box. Charged Rs. 2200/- & the receipt no. is 031. After two days one person from Reliance by Name Mr. Nagarj came & install the antena & after two days I got the connection. His contact cell no. is [protected]. After I pay Rs. 2200/-, he supposed to recharge my account with Rs. 700/- (500 + 200). But actually he recharged only for Rs. 500/- . which was not known to me. After a month many channels got disconnected. when I have caaled up customer care they confirmed that my account has been charged for Rs. 500/- only. when I called Nagaraj, he is telling I have done my job. when I called the dealer RK Global on the No. mentioned on the receipt[protected], always I got the message either it is switched off or not reachable. In between when I contacted Customer service they are replying to me to contact Dealer. After paying Rs. 2200/- I am facing this problem. Who is responsible & how my problem will get solved & by when.

                  Dealers & the person who came for installation are behave like they are not responsible for the problem. Customer care personnel give always answer to their customer to contact back to dealer. in between Poor customer is suffering. Totally this service managed hapazordly. Everybody is washing their hands throwing the ball to other's court.

                  Reliance Big TV DTH — Hopeless Service;Worst performance;expensive 4x than shown

                  THE CC service of the BIG TV DTH is just worser than that of its cellular service,

                  I have got a multiple connection of two STB's and this hell is such that there are two seperate A/C for both Smart Cards and Now the any amount recharged is added to both accounts and substracted from both at the same time, causing the expnses more than double of reqiurement i.e. more than Nearly Rs. 600(mine expense in December) a month for two television with as poor as possible.

                  Every time I call for CC there is a new person recieving whom the complete story is re-re-retold who give us some vague suggestions after which no results are seen

                  I am fed up cmpltely and have stopped Recharging it.

                  Can any one help me to surrender this service

                  I bought a Big TV recharge coupon on satruday, Till now I'm not able to contact customer care. No body at customer care not picking the phone to answer.


                  Big T.V has got poooooor service. It's a shame of Big TV. They are able to gain profits, but they are not able answer the people. Then why do they are in the market.
                  Ur costomer care No. does not respond.I h'd never comunicate with ur costomercare.When I dial ur no. they say that this no. does not exist due to this problem I can't reecharge my acc. or can't change my plans etc.

                  Hi -
                  i am customer of BIG TV and my subscriber ID[protected]. I have paid 1700 Rs for six month of subscription of premium pack but it is still not configured and i am and able to watch any of the channels. Now, I have strong case o[censored]nethical practices against BIG tv - they are neither rectifying the problem nor returning my money. If I ask for refund I am told that we can not take the request and simply disconnect. Their Toll free number is hardly reachable and most of the time you have to call their chargable number. All complaints are closed without even confirming from me if it has been resolved. I have already spend more than 100 rs on just call leave apart the pain they are giving by such nasty service.

                  I have read a TRAI decision that they should return the money and even money they have taken for STB and antenna. ( link below )

                  I have taken 1400 Rs Cash Card to Recharge My Account from Reliance Web World, Beside Shah Electronics, Chaitanyapuri, Hyderabad-500060.When i am recharging my account getting Your Transaction Could not processed.When i am recharging through SMS i am getting Input Invalid.When i called to customer care people they are not solving it nor they are not able to say whats the actual problem is it.Poor Service.Please solve this problem as soon as possible

                  TVS — Worst Performance & service

                  Recently, I bought a new TVS XL SUPER from NELLAI TVS MOTORS. Since then I m continously facing problems with the motorcycle like low horn sound, lower mileage, starting trouble etc. When taken to the dealer, we got a very poor response. I will be happier if the company interferes and solvesthe problem
                  We had 2 Big Tv Connection, I jan 2011 i got a call from M/s R K Global, that if we want to cancel our connection, and if canceled before 31/1/2011 we can get a refund of 50 %, we asked him to come down and pick up one connection as we required only one now., one person from R.K.Global had come to pick up the cancellation, he has given us a customer copy saying that he is picking up the SET-UP Box, The Smart Card & the Remote, and would pick up the antena and the receiver once he gets the cheque from Big TV, But till date there is no sign of anybody, the land line no 32021747 which he has provided is not responding. Request you to please solve this at the earliest.

                    Complaint# 1:

                    I have opted for taking reliance big tv dth service since it was from a big business entity. Installation was done after 5 days of booking for the DTH service and thought the service must be good. We made use of the service just for one day when the Set top box stopped functioning. It always remains in STANDBY (just after 1 day usage). Complaint lodged on the same day with their customer service. The customer service reps promised to rectify within 48 hrs. We had to wait for more than 15 days to get it repaired after calling more than 20 times (I am serious..called everyday). No amount of requesting, shouting helped us in any way. PATHETIC Customer Service.

                    Complaint# 2:

                    The dealer who sold the Set top box cheated us by not informing about the number of channels that come with subscription. We requested a change of channels as there was an option from BIG Tv to choose a boutique of channels. Again the customer rep promised to change within 48 hrs...The same story is repeating...already 72 hrs over still nothing has happened...Not sure how much time it will take this time. PATHETIC Customer Service
                    I am not sure why customer service is given least preference when launching any service. My advice to everyone is DON"T opt for reliance big tv service.

                    i am customer of BIG TV and my subscriber ID[protected]. I have paid 1700 Rs for six month of subscription of premium pack but it is still not configured and i am and able to watch any of the channels. Now, I have strong case o[censored]nethical practices against BIG tv - they are neither rectifying the problem nor returning my money. If I ask for refund I am told that we can not take the request and simply disconnect. Their Toll free number is hardly reachable and most of the time you have to call their chargable number. All complaints are closed without even confirming from me if it has been resolved. I have already spend more than 100 rs on just call leave apart the pain they are giving by such nasty service.

                    I have read a TRAI decision that they should return the money and even money they have taken for STB and antenna. ( link below )

                    The toll free number is always busy and is not available to the customer. I am a victim of Big TV. In such a big city of Bangalore there is not even one customer service office.The Reliance phone outlets only sell the recharge vouchers and do not respond to complaints. We do not have even an alternate number of higher officials to contact. Customer is at a loss. Please be wise to choose your service provider--definitely not Reliance.

                      We have gone for the installation of Reliance Big TV, As it was working fine from the time of installation (1 month), now the problem is we are unable to get the signals from the Reliance receiver, because of this there is no audio or video. My TV is totally blank. Try to get in touch witht he company representatives, as their is no response from their side.

                      Can customer care can help me out regarding this issue, as without TV, its really hectic for the childrens. Hope to get issue solved from this E-mail.

                      Hope to get immediate response from the reliance company.
                      I am getting same problem with my Big TV connection. I have filed my complaint to customer care but still after 2 days, nothing is being done from their side. They keep saying that issue is in solving process and will be corrected soon. What type of customer service is the Big TV providing ?

                        My sincere and humble advice to all is PLEASE DONT PURCHASE RELIANCE BIG TV even though they will give you big promises of number of channels and cinema halls and all. The installation and service division of the BIG TV is the worst i have ever seen in the customer service division. As all have mentioned they gave 48 hrs time span for the installation and its almost 20 days now since im waiting for the installation to be completed. Customer care people are escalating the call to the next level, where there is no executive to pick the call. I have made around 20-25 calls to them and even one time they didnt respond to me ...
                        So please dont have BIG TV even as an option in your DTH service !!!

                          I subscribed for BIG TV for south popular pack @ Rs. 1990. At the time of subscribing, the dealer showed all popular channels included in the package for one year. after 15 days of installation, some news channels like CNBC TV-18, BBC and some other movie Channels like HBO etc., have been stopped telecosting. when i enquired with the customer care, they informed me that these channels are not included in your package. It's nothing but cheating the consumers.

                          i was jus not informed that the channel list will be reduced to more than half.and all the withdrawn channels will have to be subscribed.!! and one more thing they have such poorly trained customer support executives, they also lack basic manners...i was completed offended!! totall customer dissatisfaction is all i can say!!

                            I purchased BigTV on 20-Sep-2008 from Indira Nagar Reliance web world in Bangalore. I raised work order for installation and installation was started after 10pm on 25-Sep-2008. The remote control came with the set-top-box was not working and engineer asked me to check with the store where I purchased. When I went to Indira nagar on 28-Sep-2008 they asked me to report to Big TV customer care. I registered a complaint there but some one in customer support registered a wrong complaint. When I followed up again, I registered a new complaint for remote control issue. My complaint no is. 76962000. From then, I’m following up with Big TV customer care but they simply saying that they have sent mail to some one and my complaint is in resolution state and it will be resolved by tomorrow. So far so many tomorrows are gone. Then, I went to Indira Nagar Reliance web world in Bangalore, they told they can’t do anything; I have to follow-up with Big TV customer care only. They gave me a local head’s contact no. but that number is either switched off or not at all picking up the call. His name is Arun and his number is [protected]. I spent lot of money in calling Big TV customer care every day but all went vain.
                            He he he he! Do you think Reliance really bothers about your complaints? Not at all. They already have your money, so why will they care now? Reliance mobile, reliance internet, and now this reliance Bigtv. All Reliance products are backed by worst customer service. Reliance ADAG group has highly inefficient and even corrupt managers at the district level. There is no accountability. Whether dealing with customers or local vendors, they really insult you. I have bad experience with Reliance, as i was an advertizing vendor for Reliance at Mysore and they got work done by me and did not pay. Anil's Reliance ADAG group needs to learn about customer service from elder brother Mukesh, as they have not learnt it. Its not technology but only good customer service which counts in the longterm. What use is the mpeg4 technology if your Tv is blank most of the time?
                            This is not true, if you think twice on working of big companies or MNC you will come to know that a company will only become MNC if it is giving after sales service to their customers. Reliance is a huge organization as we all know, no such big company can make mistake by not providing after sales service to customer. if reliance wants to increase their sales then Big tv will provide good service. and according to me reliance is giving its best to attract customers, big tv is superb product by reliance...

                              It is been more than a month from the date of purchase, I get Gyan Darshan and nothing else. The Reliance World, sold the product, but refused to provide any service support for the same, saying the only point of contact is BigTV customer care. The Reliance BigTV customer care is the worst of its kind. There is no politeness and empathy. Many of these people are not aware of the product they support. There is not supervisor available to attend escalation calls. They never hesitate to disconnect the call, when they cannot answer to queries. This shows lack of quality in service (no call monitoring). The outcome of speaking to BigTV customer care is having as many as 8 case numbers, with no resolution till date.

                              Big TV DTH — Big Tv services down from last 60 hrs

                              I am using Bigtv DTH severices, services are down from last 60 hrs, even complaint is lagged with customer care center more than 49 hrs back ( on 20-sept-08, 17.45hrs) still on one reverted from company to correct the fault

                              After one month Watching Big Tv, Now i am getting message "please subscribe to channels", Once of the worst customer care in Dth Service is Big Tv. Even after installation, it took around once to activate, and now once again same problem

                              I Akhilesh Kumar Roy from Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad bearing SMART CARD NO.[protected] purchaged as set box from reliance bigTV on 26/10/2007 of ONE YEAR PLAN of Rs. 2190/-. The local dealer told me to paid him Rs.1490/- for the set box and told me to paid Rs.700/- to the person who will come to install to you. On 27/10/2008 an engineer from the local costumer care came to install the connection. He installed the connection and told me to paid him Rs.700/ to recharge to make my offier valid for one year. I paid him Rs.700/- to him for the same.
                              After some day, when I enquired from your constumer care at Mumbai, then I came to know from you that Rs.700/- is not installed on my connection and my connection is valid only for three months.
                              When I contact to the local Costumer Care at Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad, then they told me that the person who installed your connection is left his service here and do not respon to my request and complaint.
                              In view of the above, I request to contact the local costumer care here at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh to recharge my connection of Rs. 700/- to make my offer for ONE YEAR.

                              This complaint had been logged last month (3 weeks ago), but still no action has been taken on the same.

                              The main problem is that i have subscribe the 2490 offer with 6 months free subscription but from last month my NDTV package had been removed without any prior intimation or notice, even i had called customer care many times they suggested various ways to solve the problem such as restart your system, clean your card etc. and the same has been carrying on from the last 1 month.

                              I need a proper solution of the same as i had payed hard earned money for the same and still i am not recieving the proper services, so what is the need of subsribing to BIG TV, even a cable operator is providing this type of irregular and dis-satisfying service.


                              Please do revert at the earlist with proper solution or i and other dissatisfied customers like me have to choose other means.

                              I purchased Big Tv from retailer at Malleswaram, Bangalore on 17th October, 2008. Rs.2190/- South Popular pack Package 12 months free (Regional Kannada). And installation was done on 19th October, 2008.

                              After installation which ever in the package all channels were coming fine. Later I taken a Neo sports package for 6 months, activated on 3rd February 2009. And these channels were also coming fine.

                              The problem is started from 9th February Monday Afternoon all channels were stopped (error is “please subscribe to channel”). Only preview channel is coming.

                              Next day I called the customer care and inform my problem, they registered a case. No.88750477 and they said it will take 4hrs to fix the problem.

                              Next day again I called the customer care and check the status. They said case. No.88750477 is closed. But still problem is not resolved for me. Then again they registered case No.88882245.and same answer they given 4hrs it will take to fix.

                              Again next day I called the customer care. They said case No.88882245 is closed.

                              Like this everyday one or two case were opening to resolve the issue. The case numbers are below

                              Case no.55936639 on 13th Feb opened and closed without resolve the issue.
                              Case no.88967130 on 13th Feb opened and closed without resolve the issue.
                              Case no.89059844 on 14th Feb opened and closed without resolve the issue.
                              Case no.89107576 on 14th Feb opened to replace the Smart Card.

                              On 16th the local engineers came and replace the Smart Card. My Smart Card no.[protected], replaced with new Smart Card no.[protected]. (When I check the Smart Card it looks like used one. But engineer say new Smart Card.)

                              After replacing the Smart Card they said keep the set top box in standby mode to update the Smart Card.

                              Same day when I check my TV, Still my problem was not resolved same error I am getting (“please subscribe to channel”). Only preview channel is coming. Even after replacing the Smart Card I am unable watch my TV. Then I tried to call local engineer they are not responding to my call. After sometime again I tried to call local engineer there mobiles were switched off.

                              I am unable to view any programmes on my Big Tv, the other day when I switched on the TV a mesage was displayed stating that new channels have been found on my STB Box and wanted me to press OK to continue. After pressing the OK button the system is getting stuck up there and on pressing the switch on/off button the same message continues. I am unable to get through your Toll free no[protected] as it seems that is always busy. Please see to it that a solution is found to this problem as soon as possible. I talked to customer care on 03rd of Aug/09 and lodged a complain (No.[protected] and i was assured that a service engineer will visit within 48 hours. As no service engineer came, i again lodged a complain on 05th of Aug (No.[protected] and as per formula i was again assured by customer care that within 48 hours a service engineer will visit. But surprisingly after 60 hours of my second complain, nobody came to see my problem. If this is the service provided by a brand like RELIANCE than its more than unfortunate. But if your policy is SALES & NO SERVICE than its fine, go on. We may not be able to view bigtv but we can expect Mr. Anil Ambani will be the richest man in the world by cheating customers.

                              I would like to inform that on 16th August 2009 Mr. Abhishek executive of M/s. APPCO Marketing Pvt Ltd., came to our house and explained regarding special offer (South Stater) for Big TV for Rs. 1490/- plus Rs. 300/- towards installation charges which is inclusive of 3 month rental fee with 115 channel connection and also explained that after three month I have to pay Rs. 115/-+ taxes for these channels for which I opted Big TV and issued cheque and my 4 family friends also select the same offer due to less monthly rental charges during recession period other than local connection or other Cable TV like TATA Sky, AIR TEL. On[protected] engineer came and installed the Big TV without ZEE TV, ZEE CINEMA Channels. Immediately contact to Mr. Abhishek executive of M/s. APPCO Marketing Pvt Ltd., but unable to contact because his phone is switch off from 24-8-09 to till date. I contact with M/s APPCO Marketing Pvt Ltd., for the same, initially they informed to contact his engineer Mr. Zakir and his phone no. is [protected]. I contact with Mr. Zakir and asked about misguide by your people regarding Big TV package for which he explained me that ZEE TV and ZEE Cinema is not inclusive, it is pay channel and I have to pay Rs. 25/- each not only that After 3 months monthly rental should be Rs. 238/- instead of Rs. 115/- . I shocked and immediate contact with Mr. Amit, Manager of APPCO Marketing Pvt LTd., and his phone no. is [protected] but Mr. Amit not lifted the phone one of his staff lifted the phone and informed that information given by Mr. Zakir is correct. I asked madam why your executive not explained me the same that time because I opted this package only less monthly rental because I want to reduce my monthly expenditure on recession period.

                              I want to cancel my order please remove your instrument and refund the cost of Big TV immediately otherwise I will go to the consumer court.

                              I've been wondering how to get to you for the past several months after being very disappointed with Reliance Big TV which I was so excited about in the first place. On shifting to my new residence in October 2008, I went to Reliance World, Surat, and ordered the product for Rs. 2, 490/. although the Get Started Pack pack was marked with an MRP of Rs. 1, 490/-. At the same time I bought Recharge Coupons for Rs. 750/-, and a few days later bought a second connection for my bedroom, since I was satisfied with the service.

                              When the initial charge expired, I recharged both accounts with Rs.500/- and Rs. 250/-, but couldn't get connected to the chosen channels. Getting through to Customer Care was like a nightmare which ended by my being told that the coupons for Rs. 500/- and Rs. 250/- were used up! After several attempts involving a lot of time and effort, I managed to convince Customer Care. I was granted a short lease of life...

                              The personnel at Reliance World are just sellers. They have extremely little knowledge of the product and the technicalities involved in providing smooth and uninterrupted service. Hence, my unpleasant experience with Reliance Big TV continued till, after having spent Rs. 6, 480/- on the set top boxes and recharge coupons, I decided I had had enough, and went in for a local service provider.

                              In other words, I have spent money, time and effort (as a result of the several trips to Reliance World and the many calls to Customer Care) on Reliance Big TV which hasn't provided me with corresponding benefits.. The Set Top Boxes are lying unused after just a few months of terrible service. I, therefore, request you to please refund the full amount that I have spent on your product and service which have not lived up to their stated promise.

                              Reliance Big TV Service is the worst of its kind. Pathetic experience. I have been trying to get the BIG ONE so called Reinstalled at my permamnent address at Allahabad, but to no avail. No proper response from Customer care and no service at Allahabad.

                              i was registered reinstallation request on call center. my area dealer call for installation , but during installation, he asking equipments/tools such extension board for drilling .some comment by this guy is that - installation is not possible on terrace. installation is possible when i will provide a long extension board. if i have these all thing with me .why i call this person? i will do this work with this tools.

                              Reliance Big TV — did not provide the assured service

                              I am rajesh kumar. I have reliance Big tv connection. I am in south silver plan. They told if i pay 5 Rs more then they wil give me aditya tv, vijay tv and raj tv. So i agreed. Raj tv and vijay tv came. they told aditya TV in testing phase. once testing over they will give Aditya tv. Currently testing phase is over. when i called customer care and enquired they told for aditya tv i should pay another 17 rs/month. Then y they should tell in the begining for 5 rs they will give those channels. these people think customers are fool and will accept wat ever they tell. please take necessary action against them

                              Reliance Big TV — Connection not working, no service provided

                              It has been more than three days that my big tv connection (smart card no.[protected] isn't working.
                              I had called up the customer care ( the worst, uneducated) and was told to call up after some time as their connection was not working. This happened a couple of times.
                              When I finally registered the complaint, I was told that the engineer will pay me a visit within 48 hours. I called up and told them to try make it sooner, as there were important things comming up and I wouldn't be able to watch it.
                              I was told very arrogantlly by them that I was given the 48 hours time and it will be taken care of within that time period. The 48hrs passed and nothing has been done. I have called up the hopeless customer (non)service like a thousand times, but all in vain.
                              I would either like a compensation for the lost time period of my connection and for the inconvienience caused, or I would like total refund with the compensation.
                              Something has to be DONE about these after sale services of the reliance big tv!

                              I too experience big problem. They are like big elephants cheating the customer by deducting the charges for unnecessary reason. Problem in the software was not corrected, but they are charging for set top box. Those peoples are good for nothing. I am surprising the reliance group is doing injustice to Tv customers. If this continues everybody has to file a case against big TV. I will join who is interested in filing a case against big tv.

                                I have purchased Reliance BIG TV before a month.After purchasing I was told that installation would happen in 48 hours.
                                But it does not happened in that duration.After that I have called their customer support and regiesterd complaint. During complaint registraion I have been told that in next 2 hours their technical support team will conatct me and will do installation.
                                But technical team contacted me on next day and done installation.
                                Really a bad support system.No fullfillment of Commitments.

                                This is Ashish Rai, Last year my father took Dish TV DTH. before few weeks ago my father transferred to Lonikand, Pune from Bhusawal location. And we are not able to connect with cable TV network in new location from last two weeks means we are not able to see the TV from last 15 days. for this I was complaint to Dish TV Service center 7-8 times on number 0120–4443474. but there is no Technical team is coming to my home place to Reslove the alignment problem, this is really a very disgusting Example presented by Dish TV Technical team, For this problem I was also spoken with Management level persons of Dish TV, few of the name who spoken with me for this issue is “Sandeep singh”, “Ravi Jaiswal”, “Rahul”, ”Tabbasum”. they are telling me from 29th aug 2008 that with in 24 - 48 hour your problem will resolve by our technical team also they are telling technical persons already spoken with you and close this issue, but this issue is still not resolved because its alignment issue, and we need your technical person at my home to resolve this issue . but there is no technical team visiting to my home ?. really its very very bad and hopeless service from Dish TV. I want very serious action on this issue. otherwise I will have to register complaint in Consumer Court . For your kind information complaint number is 15355862

                                Reliance Big TV — No Service as per SLA - Pathetic Support

                                Hi There,

                                Seems like these Reliance Big TV does not provide support after sale.
                                I have registered a complaint with them stating the Set top box is not workinga s there is no display in the TV. As per the support executive the issue would be resolved with in 48 hours (makes me laugh at this Resposnce time and resolution time), but it is not resolved as of now (crossed 72 hrs).

                                The company just know to sell the box, but they need to be trained about supporting their customers after the sales.

                                I have decided to go to consumer court and reclaim my amount.

                                I suggest everybody else who face such an issue to go to the consumer court and let Reliance know about their so called "SUPPORT".

                                BIG TV — Biggest Worst Customer Service

                                My BIg TV Smart Card No. Big TV Smart Card No. is[protected] which bought on 30.08.08 which took one week for installation and activation (Tata is giving installation in 24 hrs) later I viewed the channels for 15 days suddenly on 20.09.2008, It is asking me to subscribe for the channel but my pack was one year free viewing. When I called the Customer Care, they are tell they will see for it but no solution has been taken place and I have called them more than 10 times no proper response - Why a product is launch without a proper customer service, Why Govt. is giving license without
                                checking them whether they are giving proper customer service. They want people to switch from Cable connection to Dish service, atleast cable had a nominal service with nominal charges we are paying high for our convenient view but biggest bad service is given to us.
                                Consequences : I am addicted to entertainment Through TV, I use to see TV for 2 hours in the night daily to relive my mental stress, I don’t have any other habits (good or bad). I am mentally irritated by view the blank screen and no response from the BIG TV service.

                                i brought a big tv set top box .it was running fine on the first day.but in second day the power is not coming in the set top box.
                                i called the local service center, they say that they are sending engineer .but still not now came.then in the main branch they are also neglected it...plzzzzzzzzz do some thing

                                BIG TV customerv service is perhaps worst in the world. Even after one week of registring complaint of having incorrect installation offer vide no 77320724 dated 5th Oct & 77474935 dated 07th Oct, and making daily calls to their service centre on numerous occassions nothing has been done so far to get the problems corrected. Will anyone give me Mobile no of their highest authorty for registering complaint .
                                I fully agree that Big Tv customer service is the poorest or even wost in the whole world.                                 But it does not give access to english movies.. now they say that english is not part of it. it has not been mentioned any where on the offer.. it's cheating..

                                I completely agree... anyone planning to get sattelite tv should stay away from this brand atleast. Their service is beyond horrible.

                                i have called the customer for a simple change and they told me that..it will get solved in 24 hours..and after 7 days...till now..whenever i call they say..it is in progress..and they dont give a proper reasons..why it was slow..and the control of this was not there with the customer care..but when we see in other DTH..they solve in with in a minute..and i dont no why these are this much amount of time...the service is worse...no proper communications..also...actually...i am getting all the channels..after that...neo sports..is not coming..then when i have called..they told..u have to pay money for that..i have asked...why ..they told..until now..u r details..gathering..has not been finished..now..u wont get..why cant they send a message to the set up box..stating this message..nothing..is there..very worse..no technology..no support...

                                Reliance Big TV — Poor Customer Support and Service Provider

                                Dear Sir, I took BIG TV on 03-Sep-2008. Recently(14-Oct-08) onwards, i am not able to watch any channel due the following reason is showing while switch on the TV.

                                1. Signal lost inconvenience is regretted.

                                2. Rains at broad cast site may have affected your service. Service shell resumed automatically. Tr changing channels(s). To resume services. If proble presists. call to customer care.

                                3. Signal checking, Poor signal. contact to customer care.

                                Whith the above resaons, i called to customer care on 16-Oct-08.
                                They given complaint no 78042686. Later again issued one more complanint No 78679848.

                                I requested and begging also. Please send ur service engineer for checking once. I told to them, from my side i will give full support like (pickup and dropping, service charges and others).

                                Still they are not cooperate with me. They says, will get soon.


                                Please solve the problem ASAP.

                                I have raised the request to install the Big TV connection to the re-located house 20 days back on 12th october, not yet done.
                                I HAD PAID ON 18TH OCTR FOR ACTIVATING nES, SPORTS AND CINE CHANNELS. i GOT THEM ACCEPTED BUT NONE OF THE CHANNELS HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED TILL DODY 1ST OF nOVR. i HAD CONTACTED THE CUSTOMER CARE DEPT. I had complained no. of time on you toll free number . To my surprise Big Tv is using a new funda of closing complains without attending or else providing a new complain no. every time a user complains.

                                Anyway current position is Big Tv is a BIG Trouble for me. Please check the following table so far i have got 5 new complains nos. without attending a single one.                                 This is in reference to complaint no 80981431 by CUST ID NO[protected].

                                This complaint had been logged last month (3 weeks ago), but still no action has been taken on the same.

                                The main problem is that i have subscribe the 2490 offer with 6 months free subscription but from last month my NDTV package had been removed without any prior intimation or notice, even i had called customer care many times they suggested various ways to solve the problem such as restart your system, clean your card etc. and the same has been carrying on from the last 1 month.

                                I need a proper solution of the same as i had payed hard earned money for the same and still i am not recieving the proper services, so what is the need of subsribing to BIG TV, even a cable operator is providing this type of irregular and dis-satisfying service.


                                Please do revert at the earlist with proper solution or i and other dissatisfied customers like me have to choose other means.

                                I had installed BIG Tv on Nov 22, 2008. The guy who came for installation broke my window while installing. I probably have to replace a new one now. On top of this, he did not complete installation and said he will come back the very next day. Today is Dec 12 and nobdoy bothered to give even a single call back eventhough i registeres a formal complaint on 24 Nov.

                                I called the customer service more than 5 times during this period and every time i had the explain the whole story. I spoke to three of their team leads by names Hemanand, Nandha Kumari and Vandana. Each of them promised a call back within the enxt two hrs which never happened. When i asked to connect me to their Manager, they say that their Manager cannot talk to cusomers. I wma wonering why the hell is being paid for if he cant listen to his customers?

                                Subscribing to BIG Tv is probably a very BIG mistake...I hear that rechare vouchers are non existent in the market and its one more ordeal getting your accoutn recharged..

                                I dont know whehter Big tv managment reads thro' all these complaints but prospective customers whoever reads this...pl. DO NOT commit the same mistake that i have done

                                I work for a reputed Media Company and am extremely disappointed with the service provided by BIG TV and their negligent attitude towards customers.I had bought their one year subscription which went fine for initial 2 months and then its been 2 months now that I am without it inspite of paying in advance for the whole year.Since 2 months It has become my daily routine to call the customer care since they are not bothered to revert back with the status neither they have any solutions to a very simple problem nor do they care about loosing the customers.They give excuses (which is difficult to buy)like our info (customer info) is not updated by another team within and hence the problem.What surprises is that they can repeat this 100 times when we call but cannot pick the call and sort out things with their so called "another team" whose supposed to update.They neither have any TAT / SLAs and just say hello & Sorry!!!I have interacted with several customer care execs of other service companies for other services and have always got quick and convincing revert but with Big TV, looks like there is no monitoring on the calls and no solutions...On the contrary, i also have a local Digital cable connection whose TAT to close a complaint is 24 hours, and guess they do not even have the luxury of a customer support center ...so why Reliance Big TV????????
                                This problem has not been faced just by me but also few friends in network community that I know have similar complaints and we have decided to file a complaint in consumer court...

                                I talked to customer care about recent 2% cut of service tax from 25 th feb 09 and its impact on rate on different packs subcribson.They told that it is 12.36% but at present it should be 10.30%.I think They are charging more service tax.

                                Four months back, I sufferred a lot due to poor set top box.
                                After one month, the problem was solved & STB was changed.
                                But there was no complementary for loss of one month veiwing / entertainment.
                                Now, yesterday I re-charged my account & the balance became Rs. 28 +.
                                I asked them to activate a top up for kids channel (combination of Cartoon Network, Pogo & Hungama).
                                After complaining 8 times, still we are waiting to activate the Ad on pack, while the amount is being deducted for two days.
                                How they can cut my balance without proper activation.
                                Every time, customer care executive tells the problem will be solved within half an hour.
                                After completing 30 hours, still executive says to wait just half an hour.
                                This is the level of service.
                                I heard a lot of bad comments about Reliance group, now I feel since few months that Reliance group just want to cut the pocket of customers. This is the only target as well as negligence the customers.

                                I am having a connection of Relince smart GSM service with no [protected]
                                On 27th of may i have applied for caller tune through SMS against which company has deducted the amount also on 28 th i got confimation SMS mentioning that "TUNE SET SUCESSFULLY ALONG WITH FREE PROMOTIONAL TUNE" but they haven't started this service yet .

                                For this matter sevral time i have talked to Customer care executive most of time they said there system updation is going on and they cann't help me out till system updated properly, Though they provided Complain no 99397623. today after several attempt when i contacted to customer care executive he update me that complain had already resolved, once i told him that no such service is still available at this no, then they provided another complain no[protected].

                                In this course of time i have asked so many time about the complain closer TAT of company and they said it will just take 24to 48 hrs time to resolve this issue but still this issue is not resolved, it is quite unfortunate that it is more than 12 day old case.

                                Once i have told them to plz convey me once this problem will get resolved they clearlly said we will not call any customer for there complain update, i[censored] want to know the status only u have to call us again .It is very frustating for me to call them up regulerlly twice or thrice a day for those reason against which i am not at all responsible.

                                Reliance Big TV — Regarding Relocation & Installation.

                                Sir, I am a customer of Reliance Big Tv. & on 1st of August 2009 i have shifted to chennai from Pondicherry.My Smart Card Number[protected].
                                On 1st August i deactivated all the four activated packages.that time my account balance was Rs.139. For giving request for re-installation i was told by the customer care that minimum balance should be Rs.750. so i recharged with Rs. 650 on 2nd of August. & i gave the request for change of address & re-installation & complain number is[protected]. They told within two working days they will re-install but till today(i.e. on 5th of August) they didnt install. when i called up customer care on 5th August my balance was Rs.714 I was shocked then i asked customer care why its so.. then they asked me to recharge Rs. 36 again. I told i already had balance of Rs. 789 before giving request for re-installation then what happened to my Rs.75. as now d balance amount is Rs. 714. though i have already unsubscribed all the add on packs on 1st of August 2009. i think more than 25 times i ve called up customer care but they are telling the same thing dt i will have to recharge once again by Rs.36. when i am asking about my Rs. 75 that why you have deducted this amount they didnt answer anything simply they told we dont have information in the system. previously also automatically they activated neo sports & neo cricket but after i complained then after verification they refunded the amount Rs.68. but now they are telling that by mistake they refunded the amount. i dont know why they are torturing the customer by unnecessary billing & they activate from their side without any request & they started charging for that.
                                so please take some immediate & proper action sir so that they should not fool other customers also.

                                Dish TV — V.poor after sales service

                                I have taken Dish TV from Dealer M/S Amol Enterprises, Fort Songadh Dist TAPI
                                Frequently there was problem of Bad Signal.
                                Dealers service is very poor even after paying for recharge twice he did not recharge my package for 2-3 days.
                                Since he is the only dealer in Songadh the behaviour of this dealer is very rude.
                                Due to bad signal quality I had to shift my Dish Antena on roof top & additional charges of-200 was charged from me for doing so.
                                After 1 year there was problem with Internal circuit which was replaced by dealer.( Rs 350)
                                Now from last 10 days the Dish TV is not working , dish TV customer care is saysing card is corrupt where as the dealer is not fixing the problem.

                                I am subscriber of Reliance Big TV and my ID No is[protected] . I have lodge complaint on last saturday and complaint again lodge on Tuesday (evening). But any represtative or engineer not repeat not concerned on my mobil and not my home. I am very upset such type of service.
                                It is strange that they are not showing the English cinemas though the offer says that English cinemas. It is a fraud played on the customer that should be fought to the end and not allow the bigwigs to defraud the public.
                                It is true that they do not listen to the problems of the customers. ONly one person gave me a patient hearing once that too not on the toll free number but on the pay number phone.The so called toll free number is another big hoax since it is always reported by the BSNL as not in existance.

                                I have been having problem with the reliance Big tv from 1st Sep and with doubt that balance could be low topped up the account by 500 rs ,based on this complaint Number () they have replaced my Set of box on 12th September 2009 and after that also there was problems with bigtv and with Further follow-up (Interaction id [protected]) & Complaint number[protected] they technician upgrade the Bigtv software .

                                After that I was charged for 800 Rs against the Setoff box was changed on Oct-5th against this complaint number[protected] , which was never done and I have been following up with the customer care for the past 3 days with no use and they mentioned that they cannot take complaint and gave me a Interaction number after a lot of escalation and inhuman wait time of 40 min ([protected]) on 7th Oct 2009 . as per this interaction the lead assured that issue should be resolved and the matter was escalated to billing department and will get back to me in 24 hours nothing happened so far.

                                I would reiterate this is one of the irresponsible Customer service team I ever worked with who doesn’t even understand the language what we are talking.

                                I had placed a relocation request on 24 SEP 2009. Relocation done on 3rd OCT. After that on 04 SEP service of my BIGTV got suspended.

                                I have previously recharge my account with 1000 (700 for Relocation & 300 for monthly service). But when I called customer care they told me that 289.00 Rs has been wrongly deduct from your account. They raised a request of waiving it off and told me for extra 300.00 Rs recharge.

                                On 04 OCT I did one more recharge of 300.00 Rs. But till now my services are suspended.

                                On 05 OCT I called customer care they told me to wait till 06 OCT. I called on 06 OCT they told me to wait till waive off amount comes into my account.

                                Can you please tell me actual process of all this. I am getting pissed because of it and want to escalate this matter.

                                Calling BIGTV customer care is a big pain I need to hold line for 45 min always. The service is absolutely very poor.

                                I will not suggest any one to buy BIGTV.

                                Big Tv automatically disconnect your channels once your account balance comes to negative.It is better to check your account balance regularly.

                                I work for a reputed Media Company and am extremely disappointed with the service provided by BIG TV and their negligent attitude towards customers.Poor Quality..
                                Reliance Big TV is absolutely a lost case. Although they claim that they are the India's best digital service provider but in reality their service is the worst. Customer care number [protected] remains always busy. Even if you get luckily then you have to listen again and again the recorded voice all our customer service representative are busy on call. They do not have any good intention to do business. Management is also very callous.They are probably suffering from some sort of caomplacency.
                                The worst customer service I have ever seen. Please do not buy these kind of services and get cheated. RELIANCE is spoiling their reputation by providing this kind of service.
                                Hello . I am yet another victim of Reliance Big Tv 's worst service. on Diwali day i.e. I had recharged my account with Rs 200 . I live in Faridkot area of Punjab.Hre recharge coupons of Reliance are not available (complaint already told to them) so one is forced to recharge account using flexi.

                                Shopkeepers charge Rs. 20 extra for charging with Flexi ! and later on account information is not updated .
                                On calling customer service namely Renu (11/11/20009 11:30 am) they asked for transaction I D which shopkeeper REFUSED .
                                Every day complaints wrere being lodged by me and atlast customer care executive namely kulwinder (11/11/2009 8:30 pm ) told us that our query is going quite long so without any reply he kept my phone .
                                My services have been lost due to non updation of account and no one is helping out here.
                                What to ask for compensation for Rs 200 ?

                                Reliance DTH Service — No response for the complaint registered even after 25 days

                                Please refer your complaint register no:[protected] dt.08.11.07 and your assurance the above complaint will be sorted out with 24 hrs. After two weeks of time, I am sorry to say so far not even a courtesy call about the complaint is being attended by your service people.

                                I would like to bring to your kind notice that as per your customer care people's request, I have recharged for Rs.400/- for the service charges for installation whereas the amount in account is continue to be reduced even without utilizing your network service or without reinstallation. I request you to recredit my balance amount as well to attend for the reinstallation with immediate effect.

                                Otherwise, I am constraint to go with consumer court for this service.

                                We are from Shilpi Resort, Udaipur and BIG TV arranged a dealer meet followed by dinner on 14/09/2009 and we have raised a bill of Rs.58775 against that dinner arrangement and credit was given for 30 days, it is more than 2.5 months passed but our payment is not released till date now, so being a so prestigeous company it is not feasible at all.

                                I also faced the same problem. I will not write the same story again but i can say this BIG TV is really very poor in services.I changed the location from Bangalore to Noida in 4th Dec09 but till now(30Dec) i am not able to use BIG TV.

                                Their enggs are not tech sound.He reinstalled the Big TV setup in Noida but after 3hrs setup box was not working at all.I called up to same person he came and ask me 175/-.i gave him money he changed the setup box, but again after 4 hrs setup box was not responding.I called up the same person but i disappointed he was not responding me till 3 days.He came and told me again setup box is to be changed and i have to pay him 800/-...Ohhhhhhhh!!! ... I reported the same to cust care but i didn't have the solution till now.

                                I will not suggest anyone this product.Please don't buy this big TV...go for others.

                                We have purchased Reliance bigtv connection in Oct.2008. after about an year we came to know that ur connection is registered with wrong name and totally wrong address but with our phone number. Above all the vendor from whom we have purchased the connection has taken it as multiset top box connection.
                                when i talked on toll free number they say that now nothing can be done and we cant convert it into singel tv connection.
                                this is really disgusting .a company can't change the consumer's database and we have to cntinue with the same headache.

                                Reliance Big TV — Complaint not closed

                                My STB was not working(18.2.10) , so I have submit a request to customer care, after five days(24.2.10) he repaired the STB , but it is in gaurantee period so I requested The Big TV please replace the unit because repairing is not safe.
                                Till date(8.4.10) I have still suffering with same unsafe condition , no action taken from Reliance BG TV side

                                Reliance Big TV — BIG TV - Wasted money

                                I bought a connection last year and today (April 21st 2010, 5:37 PM), since it is raining, the service is no longer working. I called up the customer care and reported the problem. They told me that "Sir...when there is rain in your area...service will be interrupted...once rain stops service starts". This rain interruption was not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions document that they gave me. When I asked them to connect me to their higher authorities they cut my call. When I called back and screwed them they connected me to some guy called RAM (he claimed that it was his full name and he was the floor supervisor). He spoke nonsense to me and then nothing happened. He told me that if I wished to take this issue up with him then I could go ahead and do it. He even told me that "Please mention my name if you want when you complain to anyone". That was absolutely arrogant. Can anyone please tell me what can be done? Please please help me out.

                                  we bought a BIG TV connection on the 2nd of September 2008. We were pormised that the installation would be done in 48 hours, the and the work order number given to us is [protected]. The Set top box was installed after 7 days. We could watch the TV till 16th night of September. After that there was a black screen display and there was nothing visible on the TV Screen. We made the first complaint on the 17th of September at 7:30 AM 2008, We were promised that the issue would be resolved within 48 hours. Since then every day we are contacting the customer care of BIG TV at[protected]. We were given a compliant # 76015207. The customer care people promised us that the issue would be resolved by the Engineer who come and would visit us. On 21nd we spoke to a manager called Joshua and he promised that the issue would be resolved by 22nd of September 2008 10 AM in the morning. We have a call recorded and the manager also said we could take the conversation as a piece of evidence to the consumer court. On 22nd Sep 2008 we contacted the customer care again as there was no response from their side, and spoke to a manager called Ashwini from Bangalore Customer Care Center. She again made a promise to get the issue resolved by the 23rd. On 23rd of September we called back the Customer Care of Reliance BIG TV as there was no action take till then and spoke to a Represantative called Asha Reddy and she took a new complaint and she took it for the remote which is not having any problem in reality. The complaint # is 76456915. When ever We call the customer care of BIG TV the Reponse is very RUDE and ARROGANT. They promise us 24-48 hours time and have been promising the same for the past 15 days. This issue is still not resolved and the date today is 02nd of October 2008. WE WANT JUSTICE.
                                  WE ARE WASTING OUR TIME AND ENERGY. We have invested 1990/- RS on this and not getting the value for our money. MENTAL AGONY and PHYSICAL STRESS. CAlling the Customer care for Reliance BIG TV and in return getting insulted.

                                  BIG TV — After Installation of the big TV ! you can just watch black screen

                                  I had a big TV installation within 48 hrs and could able to view all the channels for 2 days. The installation was done on 18 th of september. After 2 days, I realised Big TV is a Junk TV.
                                  After 2 days there was no response from TV setup box. I can see only black TV screen. I registered a complaint with customer care with complaint no. 76296940 for the installation setup which has simcard no.[protected]. They say that within 48 hrs, It will be resolved. But it is been already 7th dayrunning and still waiting for the servcie engineer to turn up my side. I called to customer care for more than 10 times but without any progressive. They just say that by tommorow eveing it will be fixed. As you know tommorrow never ends...and they give some false promise to connect to their senior manager to assist me and finally they disconnect the call. They never give a proper response.I have a list of customer executives with whom I had a chat. Here we go...

                                  Reliance is good and Big-TV is good and you should be proud that you have launched first MPEG-4 DTH(is the reason why I switched to your DTH from Tata Sky)in India, but your service and customer support is not good or 'BIG'.                                   He he he he! Do you think Reliance really bothers about your complaints? Not at all. They already have your money now, so why will they care? Reliance mobile, reliance internet, and now this reliance Bigtv. All Reliance products but backed by worst customer service. Reliance ADAG group has highly inefficient and even corrupt managers at the district level. There is no accountability. Whether dealing with customers or local vendors, they really insult you. I have bad experience with Reliance, as i was an advertizing vendor for Reliance at Mysore and they got work done by me and did not pay. Anil's Reliance ADAG group needs to learn about customer service from elder brother Mukesh, as they have not learnt it. Its not technology but only good customer service which counts in the longterm.
                                  I too have the same problem mentioned above. This all occured when i tried to upgrade by Manual software upgrade.

                                  Complaint was given on 22nd oct. Its been about 10 days now. still no response from their end. Tired of calling CC every day, which they are saying that it will be done as wearlier as possible, no action till now. My set top box is not responding. I even tried doing the things that mentioned by jagesh. I can get to the first installation screen can view the preview channel, but fails when i try using the menus(Ch +).

                                  BIGTV is a JUNK set top Box !
                                  I have taken this JUNK BOX on 1 OCT 2008 !
                                  It's usual for that BOX to create problem as i said its JUNK !
                                  I usually get screens like "please subscribe the channel "
                                  When i call the Stupid customer Care, they tell me some steps to reset the JUNK box !
                                  I got this problem 4 times from day i took connection[within a month] !
                                  Now i got a permanent problem, even after RESET steps the screen "please subscribe the channel" still comes and no channel is accessible !
                                  I logged a complaint NO: 80283750 on 14th of November ! Even after a week its not resolved !
                                  Now i felt not only SETTOP BOX is JUNK even CUSTOMER CARE IS JUNK !
                                  There is a big BUG in the process !
                                  We register a complaint ! they forward it to back end technical team ! Now what would you expect a response regarding the complaint ! There is nothing like that in the whole process and even the technical support team numbers are not given for direct contact !

                                  My set up bos of big tv is not getting power on fo rthe last 4 days i made the first complaint on 10 Nov 09 and i was given a complaint number[protected] and told that with in 24 hrs the technical staff will call me and visit me. i did wait for 24 hours but no calls and no visit from the Big tv technical people.                                   Today is 12 Nov nobody has came yet. And my acount is getting didected day by day were as iam not provided with any service.

                                  Madam,firstly we inform you that our big tv set box not working properly after software updation.
                                  we have register the comlaint many time but till date we are facing the problem.first time we had register the complaint (No.[protected] dated 01/05/2010) and customer care person told that wait for 24 hours but after waiting 4 days we again call and C.Care person sai your complaint cancel due to problem.
                                  And after we have again register the complain[protected] dated 09/05/2009 and told same thing which is mention in the above but now this time our account have debiited Rs 175/-.For this deduction we have confirm from C.care and he said that we have the duduct 175/- for engineer visit at your location but no any engineer visit for my location and after this deduction your complaint closed.
                                  And today on 11/05/2010 we have given information to C.Care person that you have deduct 175/- even no engineer visit and Set Top Box problem continously facing.So he again register compalin[protected] for refind the money in account.
                                  So madam we request to inform that we are facing the problem and Customer care person Mis-Guide me all the time.

                                  I regret to inform you the poor response from BIG tv in respect of a
                                  technical complaint lodged with them

                                  About two weeks back, I have lodged a complaint regarding the
                                  Malfunctioning of Set Top Box in respect of my Big TV connection No
                                  [protected]. It was after my repeated reminders over phone and thru e
                                  mail a technician was sent on 5th day of lodging the complaint.

                                  When the same was attended, a SUB STANDARD AND SECOND HAND SETTOP box
                                  was provided that too after charging Rs 350/- from my account. This
                                  box has showing complaint from day one and a new complaint was
                                  registered on 29/06/2010. Even after the lapse of nearly one week,
                                  there was no response from you even though I have reminded thru e
                                  mails and over phone,
                                  set top bos not working for last 4 days

                                  Iam a customer of Big TV, my smart card number is[protected].
                                  My set up bos of big tv is not getting power on fo rthe last 4 days i made the first complaint on 10 Nov 09 and i was given a complaint number[protected] and told that with in 24 hrs the technical staff will call me and visit me. i did wait for 24 hours but no calls and no visit from the Big tv technical people. Then i again made a complain on 19 Nov 10 Complaint number[protected] Today is 20 Nov nobody has came yet. And my acount is getting didected day by day were as iam not provided with any service.
                                  It is pertinent to mention that
                                  (1) Being a customer iam cheated by the promise of the customer care excecutive that "the complaint will be attneded in 24 hours"
                                  (2) Relliace Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group is using my money for a service which is not given to me.

                                  iam big tv customer for past 10years recently i june upgraded to hd but it is not working from past 15 days i called cutomercare many times and also i sent mails but they have not responded, customer care people ready answer that they don't have settopboxes stock, i strongly recomend not to buy reliance bigtv as they don't provide minimum service to there customer.

                                  The Reliance Set Top Box is not working and needs to be replaced .

                                  Its been more than 3 months I have complained to customer care and regularly (once in a week wasting hours of time just to speak) asking for update. Every time I am getting the same response saying &quot;Set top box is out of stock&quot; and your customer care associate asks for 24hrs time claiming they will escalate the issue and get it done.

                                  On 13th May 9:50 PM Some one by name Naveen claiming himself to be Head of South (Customer care department) assured that he will be sending the set top box within 24 hrs if not I can sue Reliance.

                                  I am fed up of your service and don&#039;t need your Reliance Digital Tv connection any more (I will not buying any of the Reliance products in future) and will be switching to a new service provider.

                                  Kindly refund the balance amount of my account ASAP. At least don&#039;t make me wait for the refund also.

                                  I should get refund within a Week otherwise will be filing complaint in Consumer Court.
                                  When we are trying to use the big tv set top box it is showing loading for 30 -40 min until it is switched off, then again loading loading screen only appears.

                                  We have tried numerous times customer care number but no response. After 30 min they disconnect our call. Pathetic service. Our no is[protected]. We r very furstated. Please send technician asap.

                                  I logged a complain on 11 /10/2014 and technician came on 28/11/2014.He changed our set top box.Due to suspended account we were unable to check that on the same time when he changed that box.After that we found the voice from settop box was not working. We contact customer care and they log new complain on 30/10/2014, but still no body visited or call us.When we talk to customer care they sent a mail but nothing is moving in this case. my smart card no.[protected]

                                  If big tv setup box not working preparely r u get blank screen don't worry restart setup box and press red color button 2mins the setup box will reboot again select language english and u get all channel automatically. All the best frds

                                    Dear Sir,

                                    It is surprise how a reputed company of Reliance fame has sourced the DTH Boxes which are in it self boxes for trouble. I have installed two DTH BOXES on 29th Aug'08 and till date 01.10.08 at least faced problems more than 40 times.

                                    Reliance should be made to withdraw the product and refund consumers hard earned money. I request people reading this article not to be a prey and do thier survey before installation of such a nucience box.

                                    I shall be moving to the court if my refund is not done within 15 days.

                                    iam ch harsha (mail :chittineni.[protected]@gamil.com) my big tv sim no:[protected] at previous time we are not conveys yours offers so that we not recharged but now according to your's service motivated us to get a connection again but i suffered a small problem in my set up box that is power supply.Then i taken my setup box to your service station in nellore AP, then he check our setup box and said "sir there is internal problem in our setup box so you have to pay 500 rs for replace other box but no warranty . so i am disappointing our service because when you join us as your costumer not tell all this dissatisfy conditions .
                                    this type of conditions are not satisfied to common people i.e, middle class level ."I KINDLY REQUESTING YOU PLEASE REDUCE THIS TYPE OF COST"

                                      Hello,

                                      I procured BIG TV on Sep 7th. First problem is Installation happened after 5 days with repeated followup. Majority of my time gone only to followup customer care[protected]. This is useless. This will not happen within 72 Hrs.they shall take their own time. Later this installation happened only through personal contacts from the stores which I purchased.

                                      Secondly, till 2 weeks the channels are visible. Later while watching on 26th September, sudennly there was flash message to contact Customer care. The answers were ridiculous. I was discussing, why they disconnected for the channels which I had subscribed? They noted the complaint and addressed "within 24 hrs this shall be resolved". but that 24 hrs did not happen till DATE (30TH SEP). Customer support is totally unprofessional attitute. There is no escalation mechanism - They even say to go "whereever you want to go - you can go. This is the process". I don't know whether how this problem gets resolved. Since payment is made I have no other choice than "SUFFER".

                                      I advice everyone not to invite troubles -- ESPECIALLY the frustration you get when you get unnecessary disconnection while watchin mid of program.

                                      The service is absolutely hopeless - I once again mention not to buy this product and regret later.

                                      I absolutely agree with the comments made -- I am going through exactly same pains. My advice -- DON"T go for BigTV (naam bade aur darshan chotte!!!)

                                      Reliance - BIG TV — Sound was not getting from day one and proper number of channels, Poor after sales

                                      I got the BIG TV installed on 12 sept 2008 after a chase of the cousmer service section. i called number of times since than, they will be registering the compliant and i will be getting the number. no action. to day 15 Nov 2008. May be anil may not have got his share from his father, so he try to collect it from poor people.

                                      i do not have anything to say.
                                      big tv is really not a good product to buy...customer care is hopeless...even after paying for a year i a have been disconected for the max channels i have paid for spoke to customer care said it will be resolved in 2days, , , but 2day is the fourth day and theses people r giving 10different excuses, have to wait 30min to get supervisor on call, , , , , big tv is a robber

                                      Yes, I completely agree with the above comments, as I had gone through the same hectic experience from their customer support.

                                      I took this stupid box from Surya Stores, Teacher's colony, bangalore on sunday the 30 th Nov 2008. The very next day I got it installed by the local installation executives. It wouldn't be nice to say the installation was delayed. Those guys had given a much better support than the sitting at 'RELIANCE BIGGGGGGG TV Customer Support'. After the installation it's been a week. Till now I have posted 14-15 complaints to their customer support saying that I am not getting any of the main pay channels I have opted for. Everytime the executives say it will be done in 24 hrs. As per the brouchure I should be getting 149 channels including Star Movies, Zee Studio, UTV Movies, Asianet, Kairali, AXN, Sony Max, Start Sports, ESPN, Star Cricket etc. None of these pay channels are appearing since the installation. I am hardly getting half of the promised channels. The same exercise goes on till date.

                                      It's ridiculous to have such a cheating product with the worst after sales support from a company started by such a big hearted man. I am just fed up with this product and requested them to take it back so that I can opt for a local cable service who gives spontanious support at my doorstep. But they say there is no provision to cancel it for one year. I am really confused and thinking of going to court to place an appeal.

                                      If any of you have any suggestions, please let me know...

                                        I will never subscribe for Reliance Big TV.

                                        This is my worst experience with Reliance Big TV. I have decided not to opt for Big TV because of the following reasons:

                                        1. When I dial the toll free number which is available on the internet, I am never able to reach the customer care executive nor I am able to know the details. Reason : The line automatically gets disconnected in some time. (This has happened all the times I have called in last 3-4 days).

                                        2. When I dial the other number, whether I choose English or Hindi or Marathi option, the executive always speaks in Hindi. When I talk in English, he does not understand anything.

                                        3. The hold period on telephone is tremendously high. My call with the Big Tv executives lasted more than 20 minutes and was unsuccessful.

                                        4. Untrained Telephone Executives: When I asked for Goregoan-Malad Big TV Outlets, he gives me Kalyan / Vashi Outlets details. Then he says that he does not know about Western Suburbs. ( I was amazed & shocked). Just to know about the outlets near my area, I was kept on hold for 6-8 minutes.

                                        5. Then the telephone executive gives me the details for Reliance World at Malad-SV Road. However, I told him that it is shut since last 3 days. His reply was that he doesn't know about it and he again insists on noting that address.

                                        6. The internet website www.bigtv.co.in does not provide the list of channels. I was very confused in premium and popular packs. However, there was no list of channels distinguishing them.

                                        7. When I asked the Tele executive about the service charges rates, he started explaining the package rates.

                                        8. I have spoken to 4 executives till now and I have been frustrated by all of them.

                                        9. Other problems: www.bigtv.co.in is not displayed properly in Mozilla Firefox Web Browser.

                                        10. No telephone numbers have been provided for the Big TV outlets.

                                        Reliance products should not be purchased on launch. Wait and watch for a year till they work out internal processes before taking any risks. Well most of you dont have the brains and will jump again at the next Reliance offering nevertheless without any inquiry.

                                        I had thought plenty Reliance experiences online should make you to think before applying. So well stupids like YOU ALL DESERVED THE CRAP Reliance is dishing out.
