I bought a Samsung Star on last 15th August ’09 from Pantaloons, One mobile, South City Kolkata. On 17th August I discovered that memory card slot is faulty and due to that it could not hold the memory card properly. After checking with other memory cards and putting my memory card into other mobiles, I came to the conclusion that it was a problem with the handset only.
Due to lack of time I was able to take my handset to the shop (one mobile) on 23rd August. They said that now they cannot do anything, they added I have to go to Samsung service center for the same.
Then on 25th August I took the set to Samsung service center (Divine Electro Solution). They took the set and told me to contact after 5days. On the 6th day (31st August) when I called them up they said that still that is not repaired and asked me to call after 2more days. Again I called them on 3rd of September, but the answer was same. They asked me to wait till 5th of September and by that time the problem will be resolved.
On 5th September, in the morning when went there, they initially said someone is just coming with set and asked me to wait for a while. After sometime they asked me to come in the evening and I will get my hand set back. When I came back from there, immediately they called me up and said that problem could not be fixed, I will get a new handset. So they asked me to hand over all the accessories and the whole box to them. So again I went there and handed over everything to them.
And now after another 11days there is no communication from there side and I have not received my set back.
So I would like to escalate/highlight following things to you:
They took ONLY 12DAYS to say that my faulty set cannot be repaired. They cannot fix the problem. So I don’t think they even know their own strength and capability. Does it really take so much time?
Now whenever I call them up they simply say that “we don’t have anything to do on this”; “we cannot help you on this” etc. So what are they doing over there in the name of service center?
During this whole process they just called me up once, I had always called them up for the updates. What I believe, keeping the customers informed and updated is also one of the customer service practices.
The manager over there, by his words always tries to show that he or his team is a different entity, they are not in Samsung. So they are not responsible for any delay in the delivery of new handset, it is ‘their’ (Samsung’s?) fault.
By this whole process I found them really unprofessional, and not at all having idea of customer service or satisfaction. They are simply working for money. They have already taken 23days to resolve this problem. After buying this it was with me for only 10days.
Already 2month is over but they are not able to give my handset back to me. I have kept on following up with them continuously and they are just saying they don't have much to do and asking me to wait for another week.
They are not at trained enough and equipped enough to provide the customer support.
I have already spent 9,500 Rs (apart from the phone bills, transport fare and my time and energy) on this phone. I really don't this set now, rather I will be more happy if they can give my money back.
So I would request You to look into my grievance and get me my handset back ASAP.

Samsung — faulty repairing of air conditioner
There had been water leakage with my Samsung split a/c 1 month ago. Inspite of the service engineer coming thrice to repair the same, the problem remains. To add to the problem, service engineer had come today to repair the leakage & assured that the leakage will never happen again. Within an hour of hte service engineering leaving, the a/c not only started leaking but it separated from the wall & tilted at an angle of 45 degree & even now is literally hanging. This is a serious health & safety hazard & could cause serious problem with children moving around the a/c. I called up the service centre 4 times & spoke to Manjit, Lalit, Ruby & Arjun. I also spoke to the service manager Manav Dhan & Deepak & was assured that the service engineer would come within an hour. Its 9 p.m. now & the engineer has not turned up nor is Manav or Deepak picking up their cell phone. This reflects an utter lack of concern for safety of consumers & not fulfulling the commitments made. I am amazed at the callous attitude & wish to record my complaint regarding the same. What happens if the a/c falls from the wall during the night? who would bear the expenses? and what if some one is injured due to the same? I would like to speak to the concerned person from the corporate office either in India or in Korea and do hope that a global company like samsung shows a little more empathy towards its consumer grievances.My contact details are 0091-[protected]. would appreciate response regarding the above.
