I have 3 tata sky setup box in the house as per trai faq document it clearly mentions setup box is like a mobile connection in the house every mobile can take seperate plan same way every setup box i can take seperate packages but tata sky doesn't allow this they say it's all under one id i asked for solutions. They said split your id then you can do it but for the same they asking for 500+300 rs charge per setup box they said it for installation and activation but no new installation or activation is required
As a consumer ian mean forced to take all packs on all setup boxes what is the use of this new rule by trai

Due to the implementation of the new Tariff order the input costs for MultiTV connections have increased, which has resulted in a marginal increase in MultiTV prices. However, continuing with a MultiTV connection is still more value for money than going for a new DTH/cable connection.

    Can i watch tata sky in 153 rs (130+ 18% gst). When i tried to create a pack many o[censored]nnecessary channels got added by default raising my network capacity. These are the channels which i never watch.in my understanding the entire exercise done by trai is to enable users not to pay for the channels which they didn't watch. This addition of default channels is defeating the entire purpose of the exercise itself. Kindly explain why tata sky is imposing these fta's on viewers.

    With NCF charge of Rs. 153.00, you will get 196 FTA channels and services by default with your Tata Sky account. Apart from that, you can choose the FTA Basic pack or FTA channels on individual basis post-go-Live of Trai Tariff order.

      Hi! We request you to provide us with your RMN/Subscriber ID to assist you further.
      The operator not provided Trai rules of DTH to customer till today
      Tata sky is not allowing to select channels as per TRAI regulations. They have made the web interface so difficult to use, you just can't understand what is happening. It logs out automatically every minute while you are choosing the channels. They are total fraud.

      You can choose packs of your choice from Tata Sky Recommended packs or Broadcaster packs. You can additionally also choose channels of your choice at applicable rates to create a subscription of your choice. You can do so through the following modes:
      1. Self-care portal: mytatasky.com (in the manage packs section)
      2. Tata Sky mobile app (in the manage packs section)
      3. Visit your nearest Tata Sky dealer

        Sir, tata sky, the biggest looters of india, trying to escape trai regulations as thier loot shop will close by this,
        Tata sky, they are most unhappy person since trai has put the real consumer beneficial restrictions in tata sky.
        Its time to disclose thier scam sir
        Since one week from 3rd i m paying everyday 10 rupees to them but not able to see any selected channels.
        Everyday they are telling tommorow and looting public hard earned money.
        They are sucking my blood like anything

          My subscriber id is [protected]. I have a multi tv connection and i have raised a request to split the subscriber id on 08/02/19 as per the suggestion of your supervisor as i was unable to see all the channels on my second tv. He suggested me to split the subscriber id instead of paying the fees of multi tv and then paying the price of different sd packs for my second tv. He said the time of resolution is 11/02/19. However when i called on 11th at 6:00 p. M. They said that they are escalating it and now the new turnaround time is 16/02/19. My request number is 1b36bi02. I have been using tata sky she is 2012 and i haven't faced such problem. Now it seems i have to wait till 16th and then again they will give me a new date.
          I am a loyal customer of tata sky don't force me to change my dth subscriber. I hope my issue will be resolved by the given time frame.

          Tata sky has recently shoot up the price of the channels and bound the customer to go by predefined packages. Prices of current packages has been almost double than earlier with less channels.

          With the implementation of the new pricing regulations on all Cable, DTH and IPTV operators, broadcaster channels and packages will now cost the same for all operators in the market and Tata Sky will not be expensive as compared to anyone else. Also, in order to prevent the hassle of understanding and choosing from so many broadcaster packs, Tata Sky has curated recommended packs using the same the broadcaster packs and channels to best suit your viewing requirements.

            Dear all,


            Date of incident: 5th feb 2019.
            One year old customer with tatasky

            *highly disappointing*

            I am facing setup box signal issue from last one week, tatasky cs have registered complaint on 8th feb 2019 and promised that the technician will be sent within 2hrs, on 9th feb 2019 a technician made a call to me and he said i will be coming to your home to resolve the issue, but the technician has not visited the location and closed the ticket. On keeping the trust a re-called to tatasky cs on 10th feb 2019 the cs has promised that the issue will be resolved by next day before lunch time.

            Today i am writing this that all the promises which have made by tatasky has failed to fulfill customer satisfaction. I have again followed up with the tatasky cs regarding the same issue they simply saying that you will get a call within 2hrs to your registered mobile, but no service agent or technician has called me nor resolved the issue. Its really better to have a connection with local cable operator for an immediate service.

            Tata sky you better focus on the area of technical services to the existing instead of marketing the products.

              as i checked and spoke with tata sky agent they offering 100 basic channels putted in their website under showing zero charges but finally saying rs 153 they will charge for 100 channels which is worst and useless channels ...

              and they charging high for others usefull channels like telugu regional and hindi movies channels in south hyderabad this is not custumized packs pls issue new guide lines or kindly send notice to them to do not charge rs 153 for basic channels which they giving in place of that we can add other channels pls do needfull

              Hi! As per the new pricing regulation, Network Carrier Fee charges of Rs.153 pm (incl. of taxes) will be applicable even if you opt for FTA channels only. If you opt for > 100 FTA SD channels, then additional NCF charges of Rs.23 pm (incl. of taxes) for every 25 additional SD FTA channels will be applicable.
              Since I have been out of station for 1 and half months, I have recharge it few hrs ago, but on the TV screen it shows error pairing, therefore, Kindly solve my issue, error pairing 14.

              Dear sir, I've selected and submitted my new pack as per TRAI order and the pack was supposed to be activated from 1st Feb 2019 but the TATA SKY IS NOT activating my new pack and charging me as per my older pack.

                I have subscribed to new channels as per guidelines of trai. The channels have been subscribed successfully as per the website of tata sky. However, the channels have been activated selectively by the d2h service provider and we are not able to view some of these channels. Now, tatasky is asking us to pay rs. 100 for visit of engineer for checking technical issue of our device. These charges are unwarranted as we were able to view the channels before implementation of guidelines by trai and tata sky is using unethical practices to increase their revenue.

                The problem still persists, moreover, the connection has stopped working completely. Now, all we can see is error "no signal due to bad weather conditions". Tata sky please resolve the issue at the earliest. There's no point in having dth from your company when it takes so long for you to solve this small issue.

                  After waiting to get some lead on implementation of trai guidelines, i got email from tata sky for pack selection and stumbled upon the pack selection module on tatasky website and notice there were just 3-4 options to choose from. Instead of allowing us to choose 100 free to air channels for basic rate rs. 130/- + further channel-wise pack selctions, tata sky had offered (1) a pack allegedly based upon my viewership pattern, (2) a couple of random combinations of mix & match, and (3) a long list of alphabetically listed individual channels, both paid & free, from which we had to choose each individual channel we desire to view.
                  Since, i want to retain the original pack that i had subscribed, i am being offered to select the pack tata sky recommends. However, this recommended pack includes channels which i do not have in my current pack and certain regional paid channels have been included in the pack which i do not subscribe.
                  I have asked tata sky to drop these channels from the pack and include the channels which i want to retain but there has been no response from their side.
                  Trai, on their side say the customer is required to pay only for the channels which they subscribe for. But, here i am being forced to choose the channels which the company says and pay for the regional channels.

                  I have provided tata sky the list of channels i like to view but they do not accept them and recommend the channels in the pack.
                  On choosing all the individual channels i currently subscribe to my subscription amount goes up by 400 rupees/-. And they are unable to understand my view.
                  How this new channel pack selection thing is working in my interest. I hope this & many thousands of complaints are understood, taken seriously and redressed at an early date.

                  Distributors can charge subscribers a "Network Capacity Fee" (NCF) of Rs.130 pm + taxes (i.e. Rs.153 pm incl. of taxes) for providing up to 100 SD FTA channels. For providing more than 100 SD FTA channels, the distributors can charge NCF of Rs.20 pm + taxes (i.e. Rs.23 pm incl. of taxes) for every 25 additional SD FTA channels

                    Above subject mention the not view the DD Sport channal on tata sky. Only not view the live cricket match on this time.
                    Error massage
                    As per the order of the honourable supreme court match game telecast is not available on this channal.
                    But sir pay the network capacity fees with gst 153.

                      I had a annual subscription. After trai gave sentence new subscriptions were declared. My annual pack ended on 9 feb 2019. As per trai 1 feb was the date to start new packs. The balance of 9 days was not credited to my account properly. Even after multiple calls and complaints tata sky refuses to reimburse the same.
                      My complaint has been closed down without any proper solution. They refuse to act

                        My connection no.[protected]
                        On 31st jan 2019, your representative, provided a connection at my premises address metioned below and he did not take any form filled by us neither signature.
                        They them selves filled a wrong name as venu gopal (Which is not mine) and submitted to your office by signing on their own.
                        He collected the amount for two set top boxes thru bank.
                        I have contacted customer care regarding this issue and i was directed to fill a noc form and submit it.. As the noc form is not relavant to this issue (Available noc is to transfer of the ownership but not for the name correction),
                        My request is for correction in the name and contact details and please do the needful in changing the name as venu gollapudi in your records. Even after repeated complaints on phone and mail they havent addressed it till now

                          Tata sky is worst dth service provider. I am facing problems in changing packs/channels on their website as well as mobile app. I have contacted them so many times over calls and emails, but it seems they are not interested to solve any kind of issues. They even don't ready to understand what the issue is and started giving some predefined solution. I also emailed my problem but still the reply is completely different. I have requested them to drop a channel 3 days ago as there was some issues in the website and app, the request is still pending. Whenever i call them to know the status, they just say it will be done soon. I don't know what they meant of soon. I have attached my complaint mail and their reply mail.

                              I had shifted in june to indore and did not intall the add on connection but have been charged for the same unnecessarily since last 7 months and why is the company looting the employee though as tata as a group i know is really honest and customer friendly really feel cheated after being a loyal customer since 11 years.
                              I ahve shifted to indore and only got the primary box installed and had asked the visiting person to discontinue the add on connection but even after that for the last 7 months i have been charged. Though you can check your records that the add on connection was never installed still charges have been levied. I had recently again raised a complaint at call centre but no resolution and charges are still being levied which i checked today when i was changing my subscription plan.

                                  I raised 1st migration (To trai pack) request on 2/feb/2019 but not done tata sky, then 2nd migration request again raised on 8/feb/19 with request id[protected] but not again done by tata sky. Then, today again on 9/feb/2019 another request raised migration with request id[protected],, but no status update till now and today (9/2/2019) is my old package expiry date, so what is your steps and why are you harassing customer??

                                    Please note that i have log request for shift of my tata sky from one location to other, as the guy who has come told me that customer care has given work order for installation, in new place not to dismantle from old place. He ask for charges, please take this forward, i am your customer from last one year have paid yearly payment for entertainment and not getting service, what is the meant to a lot - register no [protected]

                                      I had complained about tata sky cheating customer by charging rs. 23 per month for seeing “republic tv” a free channel by not allowing customer to choose this channel in the free channels group of first 125 channels.
                                      Tata sky informs the rules that charge for first group of 100 channels is rs. 153 and each additional channels of 25 free channels rs. 23 additional will be charged.
                                      Agreed. But the cheating is that customer is not allowed to choose which channel is included in the group of first 125 channels. Tata sky decides the channels which are included in the group of 125 channels. Customer can not choose them.
                                      Why i am not allowed to choose which channel i want to include in these 125 channels?
                                      Why i am not allowed to add republic tv channel within the 125 channels, so that i do not have to pay additional rs. 23 for next group of 25 channels.
                                      Tata sky forces me for first 125 channels of their choice and not allowing me to choose which i want to include in first 125 channels which are forced on me.
                                      I don’t want to see those channels, i should be allowed to choose republic tv channel within the group of 125 channels by removing other unwanted channels forced on me.
                                      Will you respond to that?
                                      The principal of “pay only for the channels you see” is not followed by forcing unwanted channels in first 125 channels. Why customer has no option to choose which channel customer wants to include in first free channels?

                                        My id no.[protected] - i wish to add etv telugu hd and gemini telugu hd to my a/c. I have been trying for the last few days thro' yr tel [protected] but unsuccessful in getting them added. Hence this message. So please add these two channels to my present list of channels and let me know the monthly amount after these additions. I am sure that no additional network fee will be charged for this addition since this fee has already been charged earlier by you when i selected the channels/packs under trai scheme which i am now receiving.
                                        Please confirm by return either to my rmn/ email that you have added the above requested 2 channels.
