Hi,
My name is Rachit Kankane, i am raising this complain from Bangalore (India).
I had broadband connection from Tikona Digital Network (User ID - [protected]) and i used it for more then a year (appr). Due to their internet quality and customer support, i used get disappointed every time. One i decided to disconnect their service and hence raised disconnection request on 13-June-2015. Also i got confirmation mail from tikona on 13-June-2015 with the confirmation that my connection will be disconnected in next 10 days. I even asked them you take it out immediately, i don't want to wait for 10 days. They didn't respond back.
Even after 10 days of their notice, they didn't disconnect the connection while i kept sending reminders to them for the same.
My last usage of their service was on 27-June-2015 and after that i stopped using their service since their was no response from Tikona side on my request even after sending multiple reminders.
My last reminder mail to Tikona was on 29-June-2015, after which i didn't send any reminder mail. I just replied on their mail.
As expected, i keep getting payment mail from Tikona of amount 1482 rupees. Which i refused to pay since their billing cycle starts from 15 of every month to 14th of next month, considering my disconnection request dated 13-June-2015 (for which i already paid the bill) and then kept sending reminder mails continuously till last usage on 27-June-2015.
Even i was ready to pay the bill on pro-rata basis i.e. starting from 17-June-2015 till 27-June-2015 (total 13 Days) and asked them to send me bill calculated on pro-rata basis, i will pay. But still i didn't get any reply.
Then after some days, i got call from +91-[protected] / +91-[protected]. The caller here claimed as calling from legal depart delhi, and asking me to either pay 1482 rupees or a law suite will be filed against me in delhi civil court. I said to here that i am entitled to pay only 13 days, i will pay only that much, but she didn't agreed and asked me to contact tikona for the same and incase if i fail to pay in next 30 min, she will file law suit on behalf of Tikona.
I felt disappointed, i felt like i am being harassed by these people, but still i took stand (as i have everything on my mail) and asked her incase i don't get detailed mail on calculation of 1482, i will not pay and you can send legal notice for same.
Then suddenly, i again got call on 28-Sep-2015 from a lady and again she claimed to be calling from delhi legal department and asked me to pay 1482 to Tikona or she is going to file a law suite in next 30 min. This time i didn, t explain anything and simply asked to file the law suite and send me notice.
I am filing this complain here since, i got frustrated with Tikona and their practices. I searched in internet, i could see around 1000+ similar complaints people has put in and still no action is taken against company.
Lets see how things go, but i decided not to pay them since its their fault not mine.
Tikona Digital Networks customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
