Bought from yatra.com an overnight ac sleeper bus ticket delhi-dehradun. Bus operator shan-e-himachal. Bus did not touch dehradun. Terminated at rishikesh. Yatra has refunded rs 999 bus ticket price but not the taxi fare that i had to pay rishikesh-dehradun. Today a yatra representative called and said yatra not responsible, the bus operator is. Ticket sold by yatra. Have given yatra until june 27.

Updated by Mrinal Bali Both the responses above from Yatra are excuses: try booking with Yatra; they won't book unless you provide your e-mail address, and they have all other relevant information. So far, they have tried to put the problem on the bus operator and the bus operator puts the problem on Yatra. Apparently, Yatra sells tickets but takes no responsibility for the ticket to do the job that you bought it for. If a problem occurs, Yatra cooly passes it off to the operator who passes it back to Yatra. I am taking the position that the ticket seller, the one I bought the ticket from, is the responsible party. Why is otherwise Yatra selling tickets for operators that don't fulfill the contract of the tickets Yatra sells? Latest: Yatra has asked me for the taxi receipt Rishikesh-Dehradun, which being provided. Yatra will pay every expense that I incurred to reach the destination that I bought Yatra ticket for. They have until June 27 2018. June 28 I will file complaint with the National Consumer Helpline, the step preceding Consumer Court.

Updated by Mrinal Bali June 29 2018: Consumer complaint registered with the National Consumer Helpline. Same day, after complaint filed, Yatra refunded Rs 999 of the fraud bus ticket. Yatra yet to pay Rs 1830 taxi Rishikesh-Dehradun plus Rs 5000 inconvenience.

Jul 3. Yatra's Sourabh Kumar offered to refund taxi fare and asked for my bank details, which sent Jul 4. See image of his e-mail. (My e-mail address removed from the image.)
Jul 5. Yatra's Athar Ahmad wrote taxi fare denied.
All the above shows Yatra's deviousness.
National Consumer Helpline complaint submitted Jun 29, complaint number 798621. Complaint status: "Not processed yet."

Updated by Mrinal Bali UPDATE Dec 6 2018. The matter is in Consumer Forum, Gurugram, Haryana. The court gave Yatra until Nov 8 2018 to reply to the complaint. Yatra was no-show at the Nov 8 hearing. Dec 13 2018 is the next hearing date.
My booking ID is YH4263196. I have opted for a Europe holiday trip with my wife. For Schengen visa, we appeared separately due to my wife new passport take some time, I have been assisted properly at Bangalore Third party vendor. I got the visa in the first go itself.
Next time for my wife visa, yatra have provided a different third-party vendor at Chennai there we have faced a lot of issues due to their negligence, even after cross verification also we got rejection due to missing covering letter itself. VFS representative asked for the same but we are guided like sponsor letter & covering letter also same, so one is enough, so we submitted the same. So, my wife got the rejection in this case. So she has collected her passport at Chennai VFS office, that time she asked the reason for rejection they have mentioned no covering letter itself. Even reason mentioned over the rejection letter also resembles the same "purpose of the tour is not reliable". Because it is correct she is not provided her cover letter only sponsor letter.
Later onwards Yatra Visa processing team also keep on asking money not even bother about our visa rejection. The team mentioned as if you want to go then you have to pay then only we will share the documents else ignore the money you have paid.
They have booked another appointment as well but they haven't shared any documents till the appointment date. We faced so many issues in preparation of covering letter and sponsor letter. And Yatra Salesperson provides some assistance here. As no legitimate person from Yatra visa team ever takes any responsibility as well.
Yatra Visa processing team have mentioned like: We will share the required documents and you need to go through everything for the second-time visa process. For this, I have taken a couple of days office leave and prepare the proper documents and asked some other people for verification then re-appeared for the visa process. The second time she got the visa.
But what my concern is it shouldn't happen to anyone else next time. Your team is not even feeling guilty at all. There just giving some voucher's to just close this issue. That is where I'm worried. Till date, I have paid almost all the amount except this second-time visa fee and they have mentioned like euro price increased but they are failed to provide where they are referring the ROI of euro. Because there is no match between the Yatra mentioned euro ROI with any of the websites.
We are a newbie for this process. If we know everything then why will we opt Yatra?
