Posting my problem on consumercomplaints.in and on Airtel's Facebook page proved beneficial for me. I even sent emails to
[email protected], the Nodal Officer, and the Appellate Authority.

I was finally contacted by Airtel representatives and senior officers on this matter. They assured me that the issue will be resolved. I had to send the scanned copy of my application receipt via email.
Then after several emails and phone calls back and firth, I finally received a refund of the balance amount.
Despite all the problems, I thank Airtel for resolving the whole matter.
