I have subscribed for Economy pack with sports channel like ESPN, Star Sports, Star Cricket. These all channels are stopped to telecast without any prior information/notice in written.

While approached to customer care number. IVR is straightaway asking for add up separate package worth Rs. 50 for these channels.

    Airtel Customer service has been getting pathetic day by day.. The calls for so called "Platinum customer" is kept on hold for not less than 20 mins. I have been getting missed calls from the welcome dept (Rep - Prakash) at randoms hours and on complaining the Executive (name of the rep : Shabnam) tells to register a police complain instead of noting a complain to take action against the employee. On asking for escalation the rep disconnects the calls..Disgusting..hmpf

    - Is this what they call customer service??

      Hi,

      i m from chennai, since today morning they have removed the ess channels from ADTV. I have specifically selected super value pack(RS.209+25 OTHER ADDON CHANNELS) for these sports channels.. This is very unfair especially when Indian cricket season starts from today.They are forcing us to buy an 50rs addon ess channels.I think its time to change the digital operator........

        Channels are not been shown as per the package

        Till yesterday night Star Cricket was shown by Airtel Digitel TV with a pacakge Super value advance pack of Rs. 275. per month. Surprisingly today morning without any notice Airtel Digitel TV has removed Star Cricket, Star Sports and ESPN channels from said package. Instead of that Airtel has added 233 and 234 new channels of no use.

        On customer care we were responded after 3 hous that this is company policy that without informing...

        I made a complaint regarding price hike without prior intimation and signal loss resulting only limited channels to view about 1 and a half month back approx in Aitrel Digital TV customer care however no resolution has been provided yet and the problem is still there. After making no. of complaints to customer care and their nodal office only the assurance was provided but nothing has been done yet. I found Airtel digital service the most pathetic service in the market and most inefficient management I have seen ever. Worthless customer service with no proper knowledge and customer handling skills. For last 4-5 days we are unable to view a single channel, inspite of making no. of complaints nobody bothered to rectify the problem. We are deprived of watching TV which is the only entertainment source and my daughter asks me everybody about it. I am really disappointed, annoyed and frustrated with Airtel services their management and staff.

          India top and most pathetic and worst telecom srvice provider is AIRTEL it is in all aspects they cover everything in being bad the most pathetic customer serivce and worst attitude of the customer service personnel, the network is bad always and everywhere, calls keep droping. No connections. the system on its own shows our device as shut down. THere is no voice clarity. apart from these technica
          l issues they have billing issues too they show some thing else when we sign up for the plan but the truth is they change as they wish, the call rates are totally different from what we are shown and what we get in our bills, they are really bad guys who dupe people. No one should be encouraged to use airtel, I will honestly cherish the moment this company drowns. I will never wish this company anything good. Their customer service people have actually harrased me badly. Since we dont have easy access to any lawyer they think they can do anything they want. How do we free of cost put a legal case against such stupid and worst companies. The biggest case was even when i had cancelled my number 6 months ago by even talking to their call centre people and writing official emails they kept generating bills with rental plans of Rs 599 per month and for 6 months they dragged this issue and never actaully cancelled the number and finally when i did not pay the rental amount they sent a legal notice, what the [censored] i have cancelled this number but still they generated the bills and dragged the issue for 6 months and then made me pay by sending legal notcies such is the bad practice of airtel. also behold this plan of Rs 599 monthly rental also was not choosen by me but these people automatically updated this plan on my number even without telling me such worst attitude of these companies. For the money they have looted from me they will suffer badly and trust me such type of attitude will bring this company down very soon
          I have a Postpaid connection. I have been facing Network trouble since past 2 years. Everytime I make a complain, they FORWARD IT TO THE RELEVANT DEPARTMENT who are supposed to get back to me in 24 - 48 hrs, which NEVR HAPPENS. After 5 days, I find out the complain is resolved... I wonder how does that happen?

          Airtel — poor attitude and pathetic services

          1. i am an army officer posted in ahmadnagar .i took a mobile postpaid connection no [protected] from airtel on 11 oct and had paid one month rental of it for rs 374.00.
          2. i had deposited all the docs to the ahmadnagar office but the service provider has deactivated my services thrice in this one month stating that i had not deposited the same.
          3. after enquiring about it at your airtel office ahmadnagar i am told that the docs have been sent and they will be checking the same with their head office .
          4. after 15 days i.e today, i am suddenly told that your services are barred as your docs are incomplete. if that was so why my services were continued for one month and bill forwarded to me on my address nothing much then at least some kind of warning and some time could be given to rectify it.
          5 i am highly aggrieved by this behaviour and careless attitude towards your customers and will be lodging a complaint abt it in the forum.

          Airtel — Pathetic Service Provider In India

          I think airtel is the most pathetic network provider in country.
          they are in market just to exploit customer. in the era of globalization where customers are treated as GOD and KING, bloody airtel people believe that they themselves are god. i am using blackberry enterprise service paying Rs. 899 as monthly rental for that and calling rental seperate. yesterday i gat a mail from airtel that we can download uncensored big boss videos without mentioning any terms and condition or whether its chargeable or free. i clicked on the link and the next moment i got a message from airtel stating that i have been charged for Rs. 99 as charges of same. i called up the customer care they said they cant help it and i have to pay 99 as rental. i shouted her that i have already taken unlimited downloading plan then why to pay 99 extra, she said since u clicked it u have to pay. its not a matter of 99 rupees but its abouit cheating innocent customers. they are trapping and cheating customers. thats it.

          i have activated missed call alert service from them. i have been charged rental of same every month but i never recieve a single message from them. despite the fact that my office colleagues, freinds, family, etc. keeps on complaining that my cell is never reachable.

          GUYS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THIS IS THAT FROM 1ST DECEMBER WE CAN SWITCH TO OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AND OUR MOBILE NUMBER WOULD BE SAME.
          I AM DESPERATELY WAITING FOR 1ST DEC TO CHANGE THIS PATHETIC SERVICE.
          YOU GUYS ALSO CHANGE THE SERVICE.

          THEN Mr. SUNIL MITTAL WILL COME TO KNOW THAT CUSTOMERS WHERE USING AIRTEL NOT BECAUSE OF SHAHRUKH KHAN OR SAIF ALI KHAN BUR BECAUSE THEY DONT WANTED TO CHANGE THERE NUMBER.

          AirTel — Worst service provider

          I had lodged a compliant to the airtel digital TV customer care 7 days back.Everyday I am calling them atleast 3 times a day asking to resolve the issue.We are unable to view any channels and hence we requested the customer care to ask the engineer visit our residence to lookninto the issue.Everytime we are geeting a false commitment that the engineer would be contacting you, or reaching the residence in next 1 hour, however nobody turms up.Everytime they raise a service desk ticket and without resolving the issue they send an sms to our mobile confirming that the issue has been resolved and the ticket is closed.We lodged a compliant for the same however no action was taken.Till today nobody has turned up or called us for resolution of the issue.This is the worst service provider we have ever come across.We strongly recommed no customer should use such service provider if they dont value the customer.

            I recently converted to Airtel prepaid service provider from the VODAFONE prepaid through MOBILE NUMBER PORTABLE SYSTEM.
            I am using mobile number :[protected], but the service is blocked from 10th november 2012 although I submitted the required documents to the concerned retail outlet of Airtel Communications. I am very unhappy with the service of Airtel as I lost my business transactions as the service is denied without prior notice. I want to move legally for my loss of business from 10th november 2012.

              HI,

              I am using Airtel DTH from the past 2 yrs.
              2 weeks back i have taken South economy sports package(for 6 months) which includes most of the sports channels and also South channels.
              Today morning i am not getting the sports channels which i have taken(ESPN, Star sports, Start cricket).
              When i call the customer care they say they have changed the package and if i need these channels i have to take a special small package.

              What is the point in taking a package for 6 months when i am not guaranteed of these channels. Now they are not even ready to cancel the package.

              What can be done now.

                Hi,

                I had paid the money with advance rental for economy sports for which validity expires in July'13.

                The package included these channels espn, star sports, star cricket.
                They have dropped the channels without notifying the customers.

                What should be the action ahead ?

                As per TRAI they are not allowed to drop the channels from the package, if advance rent has already been paid.

                Same with me, I called airtel digital customer care ref#[protected], they have remove the 3 channels without any notification to customer..
                Airtel is forcing there customer to buy the 3 channel package.They are openly cheating /burgle the customers

                  all dish operators add new channels like bindass, firangi, manorama, world movies. why not dish tv add these channels. plz add these channels but we will choose other dish

                  They have removed ESPN, STar sports, STAR CRICKET from the economy sports pack and have added them to mega sports pack...i.e the higher end packs.
                  Even i am facing the same problem.This is not the first time they have done this and that to without any prior information to the customer.Have requested them to take away their dabba(connection).

                  Few months back airtel removed AXN, UTV World movies and all english news channels from my package (except NDTV). The price was also increase from Rs. 232 to Rs 250 pm.

                  Now they have sent a message that star sports, espn and star cricket will also be removed.

                  How can they keep removing channels and increase the price without customer's approvla?
                  They might have added some Zee channels which I never watch!!!

                  Why should I pay for a package which has no channels that I need.

                  I want english news channels and Sports channels. Thats why I took south econoomy sports.

                  From today Airtel DTH people have removed ESPN, STAR SPORTS and STAR CRICKET from Economy Sports Pack. But how can they change the already decided plan, i am paying Rs. 275 for watching all these channels in a single pack. I have already done an advance payment of 1 year for this plan only. Now Customer care is asking me to either change the plan to MEGA or else subscribe for ESPN sports pack worth Rs. 50 p.m. Isn't this is a clean cheating with us? I would also like to question Airtel as they seem present here you people are celebrating from last few days cause you have been ranked a No. 1 trusted brand in this country by one survey and don't you think so trust has been broken here. I am Airtel customer from past 6 years, and i really don't want to switch to some other product.

                  I have just now spoke with the customer care executive and then escalated the same issue to the manager. The manager could only say that they their budget was not fitting and it is the decision of the company.
                  I asked them why the customers view/opinion was not taken before they took this action. why should we compromise at this extent.
                  My request to all other customers/viewers like me---- Please raise your voice. Don't keep mum. We unitedly can fight against such an injustice.

                  I too have the same kind of problem. I am also told these sports channel will be removed from 15-Jan-2013 because its a HD connection and free for only 3 months.
                  I never told all these when i opted for the package.
                  I also opted for an add on connection with south economy sport package but am not geting Start cricket espn etc...
                  If i would have known before i wouldnt have gone for Airtel DTH add on connection.
                  No communication happening in front of removing channels from what they promise.
                  When I spoke to the customer care they keep on saying airtel has decided nothing they can do on these things.
                  Completely dissatisfied with Airtel DTH

                    . I prem p das, using airtel services and facing problems of deducting money from my account with out my permission,an SMS given below for reference. My money has been deducted without my authorization. And the customer care is not responding(my call record can be checked.

                    Thank You for choosing WAPBOLSPLSUB_1 on your airtel mobile. You have been charged Rs.1.0 for 1 days and your account balance post charging is Rs60.18 at 17:31.
                    for hw many days...? spk 2 c.care with call-recordings, write 2 c.care and nodal then file case in consumercourt. cheap and best. hav copies of all sent and received mails.

                      Dear sir,

                      With ref to complaint no:DT[protected] , I herewith bring the following grievances

                      1.I successfully availed annual subscription along with set top box, and now recharged for 3 months, while all my colleagues and neighbors changed to TATA SKY , I've decided to stay with AIRTEL

                      2.I inquired the customer care executive regarding packages and she changed my existing package to south super value without my permission, later after repeated request for 2 days by sending email one person call backed and informed me that he has changed channels as per my request somehow the channels were restored

                      3.On DIWALI day , suddenly all channels were lost , no customer care executive is available for redress.

                      4.On repeated calls to customer care they told that some one will call back , but no one called( i spent more than Rs.200/- for phone calls)

                      5.Next day morning one executive called me again i explained, that with out my permission your changing my packages but her response was very poor i honestly requested her to refund my advance payment and terminate air tell services , she immedieatly disconnected.

                      6.I strongly protest for the inconvenience caused , that to on festival day when all my family members were gathered

                      7.Now I personally regret for staying with AIRTEL ,

                      8.I request AIRTEL DTH to please return my balance amount and stop services permanently

                      9.I resolved to go with TATA SKY( excellent in services and best in customer satisfaction)

                      AirTel — Inconvenience in services

                      I have complaint many times but there is no one to listen to me about the network problem that is going on I amsuffering from this problem since one and the half year. Whenever I call them they just say that there is temprary problem going on and soon they could resolve it. But till 24/06/08 they have done nothing. Nearby to my home there is MDS Universty and they are not taking it seriously. What should be done? Whom should I complain.

                      We have registered with Airtel for a new Broad Bans & Land connection by payibg Rs. 500/- on 14 July 2011 vide CEF No.2803672. During the booking it was informed that the connection will be commissioned within 2/3 days.

                      Since 18.07.2011 I have been trying with all resources to get the connection or getting the connection resolved. At different time a different stories are being told. I have been asked to contact one Mr. Sarkar of Airtel-Tecjnical incharge(Mob:[protected]. Though I had been in touch with him he will give ftresh assurance. Subsequently he has not been receiving the Phone or is Metro or sick and would call me. He has neverresponded of his own.

                      I was also informed to contact one Mr Amit Rajput, marketing incharge of the area(Mob:[protected]. He either does not receives the phone or replies that he will return the call. At times he tells that if the connection has not been made through, to send him the SMS.

                      I am of the opinion that Airtel is not only Technically incompetent, they are administratively inacapable in resolving to the issues faced by the customers. I have logged down all details of all contacts/efforts to approach Airtel officials so that the real problem is surfaced. I have also forwarded my complains to the Nodal officer & Appelate officer(Del). Even these offcials atre also sleeping. I have now surrundered and thought of not wasting my energy and time in pursuing further. Surprisingly, no response are there from Airtel to know what happened to the booking.

                      Is it this way of earning revenue by taking Rs.500/- and harass customer. I know, I will not get any response from now also, but surrundering is what I am not in a position to accept. I will see the end of it even it requires to approach your CEO, Mr. Mittal
                      where ever you go the problem will come with u. not an issue. As per pt.5 d lady honestly disconnected 'you' but did she pay back your advance. And 2 my experience Airtel are NOTORIOUS people NOTED for swindling money. mail them. get reply. take copies o[censored]r mail and their reply and file cheating case in police.

                        I have taken Airtel 4g lite from one of the Airtel representative who promised that the service will be activated on the same day evening.
                        However today is 4 th day still they have not activated the service. Daily i call Airtel customer service what is the status they say that sorry sir your connection is not activated and say by tom it will get activated i lost hope on them that my service will get activated and asked them can you please provide me the process of giving back device and get my money back they said we can not refund. so i am in helpless state they are not activating the service or giving my money back.

                        All the required documents and photos have been submitted and verification also completed but they are not activating the service
                        dear mr. dont wait fr toms all life take to action. send mails receive reply and file case in consumercourt nw imd. cheap and best.

                          i have airtel prepaid mobile connection no.[protected] and had recharged worth rupees 100 and now without doing any calls they have withdrawn all amount form my account making my balance as rupees SEVEN.i never subscribe to any other services although they keep on disturbing me day and night with ridiculous messages of various offers...i have lost my money and also am fed up with their attitude.this has happened for second time now..please make it possible to refund my money and activate DNC call service and stop these messages,

                            i am customer of airtel DTH no..[protected] and had working plan of approximately 240 rupees per month for last two years..now on 8th nov. they had converted my plan to 275 rupees on plea that they had added ECO SPORTS channel for which i had never requested as per my record...they are unneccessary withdrawing money from my account without having requested for the same...kindly help in this regard and get my money refunded...also they have deleted few channels from my original list at time of instalment of AIRTEL DTH connection like times now without ant information..kindly help in this regard too as these agencies are looting poor people without any mistake..kindly help.

                            my airtel no is [protected] i full fill amount by 40 rs approxmite yesterday but automaticely cut from my account and now balance is -6 rs .

                              I have purchased 3G wireless internet standard plan of Rs 450 on 11 th August '12. As per the plan my billing should have been(Not explained) one month but billing was done on 24 th Aug'12 thus reducing the @G benefits to 1G and charging at exorbitant rate for the rest of the uses which under signed had used within 2 G plan. Instead of paying Rs 450 plus taxes , i had to pay Rs 1200/- thus loosing due to adroitness on part of airtel.

                                I was charged an amount of Rupee 20 & Rupee 105 without any reason. Nor was I provided with any Text Message or call from the operator. When I called up the customer care regarding the Issue I was made to wait for 15 minutes and then I was forced with wrong information making it as a Statement When i told the operator to behave he misbehaved and disconnected the call. This has happened numerous times. I was not refunded or even provided with any SMS regarding my talk with the Customer care.

                                My Number Is [protected] & the call was made at 1:48Am on 14th November 2012 From the same number to 198 on Airtel's Network.

                                  My airtel no. is [protected]. I recharged net pack of Rs. 98 two times, one is on 07/11/2012 at 12.1am and 2nd is on 07/11/2012 at 01.00am through my account which are not able to success completely. But the recharge amount Rs.98 was deducted two times from my account. For which I receive two messages from 121 that the deducted amount will be refund with in 4 days. But the amount is not refund till today. Contacting to airtel customer care they refuse.

                                    i am getting a message of Charging Rs 5/- per day since 27/10/2012 . i am having mobile number having airtel connection cell no :[protected] and also My customer AIRTEL dish tv ID is[protected]. My request is not using that , hence by default i am used this through my mobile option or dish tv , pl disconnect it and do not charge .                                     Airtel — Being charged Rs. 5 everyday

                                    I had subscribed for alerts subscriptions service on Airtel STK. Later i wanted to unsubscribe it, i called the customer care, they said that it will be unsubscribed on 23 sept but it was not done. From that day i am calling them but they are just giving me new dates. I have even recieved a call from the nodal officer saying that the service will be unsubscribed within 48 hours but nothing is being done even after the completion of 48 hours and am being charged 5 rupees everyday (if my phone has sufficient balance).

                                    Airtel — Charged Rs 5

                                    Sir I am using airtel services provider last 2 years. Last 3 weeks if i recharge my account suddenely charge for Rs 5. Sir i asked customer care many times but they are not response to me. Sir if i ask charged amount they are complaint me about you are subscription for vas services or games download they are telling like this.sir i am middle class family and also jobless person now only looking for jobs . Please sir kindly to take necessary steps about charged for Rs 5 and also to take legal action about the company .Please help me sir not only me some of them is there in the world please to take action the company it will help in future .

                                    I m sorry to say that Airtel is not as before, very poor response towards the customer complaints. My name is Saurabh tiwari, i stay in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. My no.is [protected]. i am using Airtel service last 3 years. bt some few days per day i lost my balance. 19.03.2012 ko time 12:09 PM mere no. me sheroshayari service activate kr di gayi aur 03 Rs. charge kr liye gaye jabki us waqt mera mobile tabel per rakha hua tha aur mai Computer pr work kr rha tha .. n m not press any key ... na hi koi call aaya. then i call custmer care to unke dwara kha gaya ki 04 hour me aapke Rs. return ho jayenge per nhi hue. my request reference no. is CSHWC[protected]. Again after some days they alerts jobss service in my no. and charge 1.5 Rs. when i want to call custmer care they disconceted my no. and again charge 01 Rs. for IPL alerts... aur mera call custmer care se disconected kr diya gaya. i also mail Nodel officer bhopal region bt no one here my complaint/request.
                                    After that called up customer care several time no response. my call is disconected.

                                    Please sir help me. i[censored] cant help me i have PORT my no. for another service & i also go consumer court aganist AIRTEL.

                                    It is really a shame, on the part of the Management, to dupe Corporate Clients in this manner.

                                      theres no reply to the mail sent below on 10.11.2012 to nodal officer, Customer Care and Mr Mittal.

                                      This reflects how efficient the whole organisation is.

                                      Hi! Airtel,

                                      I have taken two new post paid connection whose number are : [protected], [protected] on 01.11.2012 from Airtel RelationShip Center, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad by depositing the below documents:
                                      1) Photograph
                                      2) Notarised rent agreement copy
                                      3) PAN Card

                                      The number was activated within 3 days of taking the connection.

                                      Below are the problems which I have faced over last 4 days in terms of the quality of service provided by Airtel post which I have put a request to close down both the numbers and also it is requested that
                                      The amount taken towards two new post paid connections be refunded back to me and I should not be charged for the period for which the two numbers have been active and used as it has only been 5-6 days
                                      Since these numbers have been used and im forced to return back the two new connection due to your inefficient staff and service

                                      • I received a message from Airtel on 09.11.2012 stating that my services would be barred as the address verification has failed as they could not find the address saved by them in the Airtel system

                                      To my horror i found out that they have uploaded wrong address in Airtel system , I have attached the document submitted by me at ARC,Ahmedabad as address proof its clearly mentioned that my address is
                                      C 201, Vraj Vihar 7 , Near 100 Ft Road, Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad but they have uploaded it as Jyoti Kalash Society,Near prernatirth Building, Jodhpur , Ahmedabad

                                      It is bound to happen that they would be unable to trace my address , now its totally an error made by Airtel team.

                                      After calling up customer care and talking to them for over 2 hrs I was said to again submit the documents at ARC, Ahmedabad

                                      I fail to understand that if its your ARC , why cant you get the correct documents from them and rectify it in your system rather than asking me to go over there again and again.

                                      No body was of any help after wasting 4 hrs yesterday on phone with support, henceforth I put a request for you to take back the connections


                                      • After the above episode yesterday evening at 5:30 PM I got a call from one Ms Manisha pretending to be calling from Airtel Mumbai from [protected] and again wasting 1 Hr of mine trying to convince me to
                                      Go to the ARC and submit the documents.

                                      This was so unprofessional on behalf of Airtel to pretend to be calling from Mumbai support team and fooling the customer and trying to cover up the goo[censored]p and trying to retain the customer by getting in
                                      Fraudulent activities.

                                      • When I had applied for this new connection , I had clearly marked in the form for the GPRS services to be activated on both the numbers

                                      I called up customer care on 8.11.2012 to check on the same as it was not activated, I was said that system are not functional. I asked them to take a complaint but that was not done

                                      I again called up care on 9.11.2012 to check on the GPRS service , I was said that the systems are not working . I requested the supervisor to take down my number and take a complaint
                                      As for last two days I have been trying to get in touch with care for the resolution of the problem but there was no resolution from his end

                                      I fail to understand that your care actually is of no help. And I have to keep calling for three days to find out if your systems are working and if some supervisor is willing to work towards
                                      Providing solution. The services were not active till yesterday evening.

                                      After I asked them to close the connection and made them understand for 2 hrs, the GPRS was activated in 2 mins time.

                                      • Rs 500/- towards each connection taken at your ARC , Ashram Road does not even reflect in your internal system. I donot understand why the same was taken as I have been using Post paid
                                      Connection for almost 11 years now but have never paid anything for a new connection. Also if I have paid theres no record in your system.


                                      Over last 4 days which I have been interacting with Airtel , I took the connection believing to get the best service but it’s a shock that your staff in Gujrat is real incapable of maintaining the standards
                                      Service which is expected out of Airtel. Due to the inefficient service in the intial days of this connection I request you to close this connection and refund 1000/- against the two new connections and
                                      Also not charge me for the 4-5 days for which the connection has been used, it’s a real harrowing experience which was not expected from Airtel. All in all it looks totally unprofessionally managed
                                      business
