Hi,
I have already sent this mail to wecare.[protected]@airtel.in but already two tickets have been logged , my connection is disconnected and no respite yet.

My account number is 15299939

I like to bring to your notice that there has been consistent irregularity in my airtel broadband bill.
My plan is night time unlimited – 798 under which I have to unlimited download from 10 pm to 6 am.
The trouble started with bill no[protected]bill date 27th july) in which I was overcharged for the date 24/07/10. You see the details in the screenshot below

For the above issue I raised a ticket and I was told by Airtel billing department that the charges have been reverted back and it will be reflected in next bill.
However to my surprise the same was not done in next bill (bill number –[protected], bill date – 07/09/10) and I was again over charged for the date of 23/08/10 and 24/08/10 . . You see the details in the screenshot below

For the above issue also I raised a complaint and got adjustment of 530 by airtel billing department. However I do not agree with the adjustment given.
As any reasonable person will agree that I simply cannot download 4.7GB in two hours with a download speed of 60-70kbps. I have been charged for night also which is not correct. Also I was told by Airtel billing dept that I won’t be charged late fee but still I have been charged for that.

And to my biggest surprise I got 15,383.32 for the month of September (bill no[protected] The details you can see below.

All the above cases are simply logically impossible. On top of that I ve been charged late fee.

I have become frustrated with Airtel billing department. My connection has also been disconnected.
Please take care of the following points:
1) Resolution of issues for the month of july,august and September.
2) Removal of late fees since I have been paying just amount monthly
3) Removal of service taxes charged on overcharged amount.
4) Prevention of such issues in future.



Needless to say that I write to you with great hope. However If resolution of issue is not done quickly I might be forced to take further steps.

Airtel Broadband — Bill overcharge

My normal Airtel bill amount was 992, this month they have changed the plan with out any information and charged me 1202. When i called the customer care i got a very bad response from them and finally they disconnected the call.

Despite assurances from Airtel Customer Service Team my issue has still not be resolved yet and now some lawyer from Delhi is threatning me to settle the issue or a case will be filed against me!
I did get many calls for settlement. I have been charged seventeen thousand where as the valid charges are roughly 2000 !!
The strange thing is nobody is ready to discuss the charges with me. Nobody is ready to listen on which days i have been charges extra. I just get a mechanical reply that such and such amount has been finalised, thats it!!
I will upload the bill soon so that everybody can see the absurdity with which I am being overcharged.

    But what Service Engg. mentioned & done - totally unfair business practice by Airtel DTH service as below :-

    Set Top box has been damaged, it will be replaced with another old,repaired set top box of another customer.Charge for this is Rs 500/-.At the same time he will take my set top box.There is no other option.If this replaced old/repaired STB will again malfunctioned, then again Airtel DTH will charge Rs.500/-

    I placed my view/stand as mentioned below,but executive of Airtel DTH simply cut his line as saying this is the system and charge for all.

    My question is :-
    1. Airtel DTH is declaring that STB,Anteena, sim etc are all property of Bharti Telemedia Limited.
    2. Airtel will charge Rs.500/- for not giving me anything, took away my STB and gave old/repaired STB.
    3. May be STB repaired at a minimal cost, may be minor problem in STB like needs recharge of a battery as it never turned green, always in stand by mode. Also I found a lot of common complain for this on net and service engineer of Airtel had kept many malfunctioned STB in his byke.
    4. Analysis the unfair business policy as Below

    *First I purchased the Airtel DTH
    *Second time I will give again for STB Rs.500/-(old/repaired one)
    *Third time Airtel DTH will again earn Rs 500/- by installing my STB at
    another customer place.
    *Fourth time Airtel DTH already earned Rs.500/- by charging this to the customer, whose STB was installed in my place plus purchase price.
    So, can you imagine the value of single STB to Airtel? That is no. of installation multiply by Rs.500/-
    5. Dear Sir, can you bother to stop this practice?
    6. So, please do not charge Rs.500/- ,instead return my STB after repair.
    7. When new DTH set price is sub below Rs.1000/- with few months subscription free, how you can charge Rs.500/- for old/repaired STB ?
    8. What is the procedure to surrender Airtel DTH? Presently I have account balance of around Rs.760/-.How much I will get for DTH set? What is the TRAI’s guideline for this?
    9. So that I can purchase a new connection immediately.

    Airtel India — Harassment by Airtel telecaller

    i m having a airtel prepaid connection. my no is [protected]. i have got a sms from airtel that their is a scheme of RS. 299 in whichu get the 50 rupees talktime & 6 month validity, 1 month validity u will get immediately & rest 5 month validity u will get after 7 days .I have called to ur costumercare executive to know more about the plan Rs. 299 & he had told me that one another scheme is going on in which u have to pay RS. 260 & i have got the same talktime & same validity. & now on 24 oct. 2007 i have recharge my connection of RS 260 & i have got only 1 month validity & 50 RS. talktime.

    Now i want 5 month validity or refund my money as early as possible or unless i loge a complaint against u in consumer court.

    AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No repair of Airtel Digital TV

    Dear Mr Mittal,

    I bought your Airtel Digital TV on 06.06.2009 which is still under warranty. I'll very much oblidged if you send your engineer to rectify my Airtel Digital TV. I requested several time to your Customer Care No. but nothing happend till date apart from issuing new service request no. Is that type of services you are offering to your customer who buy your Airtel Digital TV subscription.

    I am mentioning below service requests details :

    1016313 - dated 06 Sept,2009 : Your executive told that my complaint will resolve on or before 4.26pm on 06.09.2009. But nobody came to attend the complaint. After waiting another 3 hours, i contacted your customer care no. they told me they will try to resolve complaint in next 24 hour. But nobody came to repair your Airtel Digital TV.

    1025084 - dated 08 Sept, 2009 : 11:32am - Nobody came to attend complaint.

    1026893 - dated 08 Sept, 2009 : 04.54pm - Received another sms from 247 with different matter of complaint, I don't know who and why generated this message but Nobody came to attend complaint.

    I hope you understand my problem, its not only Airtel Digital TV who is creating problem, but its your after sales services deptt who are mentally harashing me.

    I request you to please look into the matter and either resolve my complaint as soon as possible or take back your Airtel digital TV from my house.

    AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — TV connection not repaired

    My Customer ID for Digital TV is [protected].
    Due to some construction going on, the TV signal got disrupted and the antenna needed to be shifted in order to receive signal again. A complaint was registered with the customer care 5 days back. They gave time slot for the engineer to come but nobody turned up. Since then we have been calling airtel atlest 5 times a day and everytime they tell us that the engineer will be at your place soon but nobody comes. The daily amount is anyways deducted from out account everyday though the TV does not work. We have lost so much of our time, energy and money with these people but they just dont care. So, i had to finally ture to Consumer's court for help.

    AIRTEL DIGITAL T.V — stb box not repaired or replaced

    from 8th of september my stb box (signal transmission box) is restarting by itshelf m customer of airtel digital t.v. .led glows n stops (restarts).i had complainted 3 times in customer care n got three unresolved complaint numbers.i.e,1052924,1047555,1084560.no body has came to resolve this problem .my airtel connection is in warrantee period. no one has resolved this problem but according to many sms i had received from airtel problem is resolved.i had also mailed complaint to nodal head of m.p c.g airtel mr. manish , but he has also not given reply.

    Airtel — Unfair Procedure of the Company

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    I had bought a friends plan card in 2007 with a no. [protected]. I like its sevices because most of my loved onces are using airtel services so it would help me to talk to them as much as i want in low cost. However on 7th November an unknown person by mistake recharged my number with value voucher of 64 which cancelled my friends benifits. I made a complaint to the customer care twice. The complaint no. is [protected].
    It is vey unfair because my sevices are cancelled without my knowledge. Company should have given me some warning message whether to accept or decline decline such new change to my sevices. It is quite possible that all such friend services could be cancelled without the knowledge of the customer.
    I had bought this card so that i could talk to my loved ones in low cost. Now the purpose is defeated by the wrong procedure of such a huge company.
    I would like to request you to give me fair justice on this issue. One should not be penalize without ones fault.

    Sir,

    I am subscribing to Airtel Broadband connection A/C No. 15130600. This case related to Billing Period 23rd Dec., 2009 to 22nd Jan., 2010, Bill No.[protected], due on 15th Feb., 2010. Exactly On 15th Feb., 2010 at 11.30 AM I made the payment by cash of Rs 1105/- at Vikas Puri, near PVR Complex Bharti Airtel Centre. Bharti Airtel outlet also issued receipt for the same but didnot not account for the payment and didnot put any payment received number on the receipt. Thereafter harassment from Telecallers began for making of payment. Despite having made the payment telecallers not only made my life miserable but also harassed my family by making calls on landline at odd hours. On contacting Vikas Puri outlet I came to know that they had problems with SAP and accordingly could not account for the payment and only after 10 days they did the needful. 10 days I and my family was thoroughly victimesed by Bharti Airtel telecallers for no fault o[censored]s. Further they also levied Late Charges to the tune of Rs 75/- in the bill no.[protected] dated 26th Feb., 2010, billing period 23.01.10 to 22.10.2010 besides inflating the bill to 2246/- P.M. wehereas fact remains that I only use internet which is free and hardly make calls. They seem to have been levying charges for VAS & other services without consent and willing of the customer.

    In light of the circumstances set out above I pray that Airtel be told to;

    1. Correct current bill & take off late fee.
    2.Take off VAS & other misc. Charges & refund the charges levied earlier.
    3.Correct this month Bill. This cannot be 2246/- for sparingly used phone.
    4.Order compensation deem fit for defeciency in service and causing mental torture,agony and harassment.

    Yes I am Airtel DTH customer in Pune but since last 15 days + there remote is not working nor the TV set I change the batteries twice in between.. But still the signal are weak.. The customer care doesn't bother to answer the call in proper manner. I have sent them emails as well still no answer nor the any person who even promise to drop in.. They spend Crores of rupees on stupid Advt. instead of that they should improve basic services.
    I Really don't understand when they charge package fee in advance when such beak down they never talk about any free extension as well.

    Hello All!
    I am an Airtel mobile service user since quite some years and although I found Airtel comparatively costlier than other Mobile Service Providers [MSP], I was happy using Airtel service because of its trustworthy & quality services but not anymore now 

    Since five months, I had been using the Airtel Mobile Internet [Rs.98/month with 2GB of internet data transfer] and yes, of course, I use internet on my laptop through this Airtel connection and in my experience of the last five months, I am not fully satisfied with the Airtel Service providing slower internet and sometimes no connection, sometimes I had to call the Airtel Customer Support Executives [ACSE] for re-settings etc but I continued with patience knowing that nothing is perfect anywhere anyway.

    However, since the incident happened on 17 December 2010 and also with the problems/nuisances I am facing since then till now, I have totally changed my perception about Airtel for the worst 

    INCIDENT-1 of AIRTEL UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES
    On 17 December 2010, I recharged Airtel for Rs.200 Full Talk Time [FTT] and I was browsing internet that day browsing/downloading some picture & small video clips to the max. of some 300MBs or so, but gosh! to my utter shocking surprise, all the balance of Rs.200 were gone! I didn’t have a clue how it happened and ACSEs couldn’t explain either how? except that it had been charged, in fact overcharged me  ! Again, next day I had to recharge for the same amount as minimum FTT recharge for Airtel is fixed at Rs.200 [why not lower value than this for FTT?].

    This is really an Airtel Unfair Trade Practices [AUTP] towards its Customer.

    INCIDENT-2 of AIRTEL UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES
    Since January 2011, I started receiving so many useless SMS to the tune of 5-9 everyday with crap web-links disturbing me all the time and wasting my time deleting them every day and to make this situation worse Airtel is charging me Rs.2/3 every day for these useless SMS without informing me beforehand about this charges. Since two days I am contacting the ACSEs to stop sending me these disturbing SMS but they continue doing so, a real nuisance to the customer!

    This is really an Airtel Unfair Trade Practices [AUTP] towards its Customer.

    INCIDENT-3 of AIRTEL UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES
    Since 15 February 2011, the disturbing matter with Airtel is getting worst that I found Airtel charging me twice for my mobile internet use  ! First charging: Airtel had already deducted Rs.98 from my current balance for the monthly internet subscription [my internet validity is till 18 March 2011 with 1554MB of data remaining, as on 22 February 2011] and they are deducting the amount of data I use every time I use internet. Second charging: Airtel is charging for internet use from my current balance every time I use internet despite the fact that I am already under monthly internet subscription  ! I reported this matter two times contacting the ACSEs but no corrective actions taken up yet and they continue charging me twice every time I use internet till now when I filed this report on 22 February 2011 , what a harassment Airtel is doing to its customer  !

    This is really an Airtel Unfair Trade Practices [AUTP] towards its Customer.

    By now, I am almost totally fed up of Airtel and currently thinking to STOP USING AIRTEL SERVICES if they [Airtel] don’t take up corrective measures soon.

    At the end, I would like to draw the kind attention of all authorities & public to press Airtel to take up corrective measures in these regards and deal in Fair trade Practices with its customers [public users].

    Airtel STBs are definitely of inferior quality. Their repair quality is also sub-standard. They fail time and again. The replacement STBs that Airtel provides are actually old pieces that have been repaired over and over a numerous times and are bound to fail again. Even during the replacement, you will find that the technician tries out 2 or 3 'serviceable' STBs before he finds one that 'works'. The company is using the service charges for replacement of STBs as a source for generating easy revenue. They do not care about the customer; they only want easy money.
    The company is very prompt in acknowledging your complaints (including auto-generated responses for e-mail complaints). However their answers are standard phrases like the ones you see above. Actually on ground, their response is downright poor and, often frustrating.
    I have also faced the same issues and have asked them to terminate my connection and refund by account balance. I am going in for another DTH provider.
    I am suffering like you right now friends.

    AirTel — set top box not repaired

    We have been following up with the dealer in Jagatsinghpur for repacement of Setop box but the dealer is playing cat and mouse game about replacing the same .It was once replaced with a faulty set and when asked by the repair mechanic to replace it for the 2nd time ,the dealer is saying he cannot send one because it is raining.

    Such unprofessionalism and clever acts should be abolished from the business . Hope my setop box gets repaired in this lifetime .

    The issue is under complaint since October 2011 BUT YET TO GET A SOLUTION FROM AIRTEL CUSTOMER SERVICES .

    I am facing the same issue. They say that the circuit board inside the set top box has been damaged. They want me to pay Rs.500 for an old and used set top box which has 6 months warranty. I think it is very unfair to customers and we should collectively challenge Airtel. They may replace the set top box with an old one without any extra charge, or replace with a new box by charging extra without having us return the old set top box. Just imagine how they make money out of this practice which is totally unfair to customers.
    Can someone guide how do i actually lodge a complaint. Am facing issue with my STB HD since 2months...finally wanted to call engineer when its completely off. 05/08 i called of their visited last time he said he would visit and fix the issue failed to come. I called on customercare she took me through entire process on off etc etc book reading process not even bothered to listen what am i conveying her. I told her its not signal issue, issue is with STB. Than she said ur account is suspended...my tv is off since 05/08 n due date was 07/08 how do u expect me to recharge. First recharge and call..great difficulty i had to hold cable n STB and recharge than call her she says no not rcvd any pmt kindly recharge n call again...i recharged again assuming banker would refund for unsuccessful recharge...unfortunately both pmts were deducted 1100/-. Again called her same answer not recharged..after some time one more exe ans call says no problem it will be adjusted for 2 months...i do not understand my issue is not resolved nor my tv is active why should i pay them. Finally took my complaint one technician calls on 10/08 says he will visit at 10.00am untill 11am no response i left to office call received from technician due to rain he could not come hell come evening at 6.00pm i reached home early n called no response to call. Another technician calls next day and co nveys he'll visit next day 9.00am i requested waited till 10.30 am no response after i left to office technician reaches my home at 1.00pm and informs that he will cgeck dish connection n come back no come back. And call done to technician n again promised to come next day mrng by 9.00am after 30mins a get a call from another technician that he just got a request and he would visit next day and finally visited on 13/08 9.30am and said issue with STB need to be replaced i can opt for new connection or go for upgrade to Xtream...when asked for stb issue why should i go for upgrade or new than came up with option of swap he'll get new STB w/o dish charges applicable 1500 + Visiting charges again. After which i had to call on airtel cc no proper response everytime i call within 24 hours we will get back to u. On 14/08 called cc and asked to register for swap of HD she said out of stock for HD STB (699/-)...if required i can opt for HD new connection (1300 +VC 150) or upgrade to Xtream (1999+VC 250). Stand alone HD STB out of stock but as a new connection available with 24 hrs...What is airtel trying to do ?? Forcefully making customers by there new products??why do they not have control Third party locally (technicians) troubling us and wasting our time without no resolution but asking to pay just becos they visited...now looking at their ads zero complaints...feel like never ever airtel...due to covid19 unable to reach any nearby stores...no right person answer call...i call on hyd number person from karnataka /TN responds atheir english i cant understand they cant understand telugu or hindi...no proper mail id or complaint portal...fedup explaining same everytime on call to customercare...can someone actually help me where do i get this standalone HD STB of airtel.

I called on customercare she took me through entire process on off etc etc book reading process not even bothered to listen what am i conveying her. I told her its not signal issue, issue is with STB. Than she said ur account is suspended...my tv is off since 05/08 n due date was 07/08 how do u expect me to recharge. First recharge and call..great difficulty i had to hold cable n STB and recharge than call her she says no not rcvd any pmt kindly recharge n call again...i recharged again assuming banker would refund for unsuccessful recharge...unfortunately both pmts were deducted 1100/-. Again called her same answer not recharged..after some time one more exe ans call says no problem it will be adjusted for 2 months...i do not understand my issue is not resolved nor my tv is active why should i pay them. Finally took my complaint one technician calls on 10/08 says he will visit at 10.00am untill 11am no response i left to office call received from technician due to rain he could not come hell come evening at 6.00pm i reached home early n called no response to call. Another technician calls next day and co nveys he'll visit next day 9.00am i requested waited till 10.30 am no response after i left to office technician reaches my home at 1.00pm and informs that he will cgeck dish connection n come back no come back. And call done to technician n again promised to come next day mrng by 9.00am after 30mins a get a call from another technician that he just got a request and he would visit next day and finally visited on 13/08 9.30am and said issue with STB need to be replaced i can opt for new connection or go for upgrade to Xtream...when asked for stb issue why should i go for upgrade or new than came up with option of swap he'll get new STB w/o dish charges applicable 1500 + Visiting charges again. After which i had to call on airtel cc no proper response everytime i call within 24 hours we will get back to u. On 14/08 called cc and asked to register for swap of HD she said out of stock for HD STB (699/-)...if required i can opt for HD new connection (1300 +VC 150) or upgrade to Xtream (1999+VC 250). Stand alone HD STB out of stock but as a new connection available with 24 hrs...What is airtel trying to do ?? Forcefully making customers by there new products??why do they not have control Third party locally (technicians) troubling us and wasting our time without no resolution but asking to pay just becos they visited...now looking at their ads zero complaints...feel like never ever airtel...due to covid19 unable to reach any nearby stores...no right person answer call...i call on hyd number person from karnataka /TN responds atheir english i cant understand they cant understand telugu or hindi...no proper mail id or complaint portal...fedup explaining same everytime on call to customercare...can someone actually help me where do i get this standalone HD STB of airtel.

      This is for you Information that my Mobile No is [protected] activated Airtel Mobile TV (Messsage No: AD-54321) by Airtel India Survice provider without any prior intimation, information and instructions. Some days ago they also activated caller tune as like as above. Due to this activation they debited amount immediately. Not only that when I tried to intimate their customer care they also debited charges for that during those periods. This is not tollarable for me. Please do the needful.

        I am a customer of airtel and my number is [protected]& the series 7709 is still not registered with MTNL hence anyone has hunting line facility (press "0" or any other number to get dial tone and then dial the number) never can reach my cell number since the day i took ((6 months). I had a lots of e-mail communications with the customer care of AIRTEL, but in vain. It was shameless, that even after contacting their nodal officer, neither he could rectified the problem nor he replied. in one occasion, they asked me to contact MTNL and rectify the problem on my own which is really an utter nonsense on their (AIRTEL) part. Hope AIRTEL will rectify this issue once for all.

        Giving below some of the communications which i exchanged with AIRTEL customer care, which are self explanatory.

          I have an airtel DTH connection ( customer id [protected] ) and I regret to inform you that airtel DTH has the most horrible and irresponsible customer care services I've encountered.

          I'm in the process of moving from Hyderabad to Bangalore and informed DTH CC atleast 3-4 weeks in advance that I need to de-install my connection in Hyderabad before 27th November so that I can move the dish and set top to Bangalore and get it re-installed there on 11th December.
          Every time I made a call, some customer rep took down all the details and then nothing happened. No service request was logged and I was told to call 1 week before the desired de-installation date. After forcing them to log a request, it was logged (service request 4503425 ) which was "successfully closed" the next day itself despite the fact that no service engineer visited ( not so much as called me ) my premises to de-install the dish.

          I again called today and after spending 30 mins over the phone and shouting my lungs out, I was told "no technician slots are available in November month". After explaining my situation, I was told by the customer rep ( His name is Ruman ) that I would receive a call within 2 hours from back-end team. It has been more than 4 hours and no calls which was expected based on my experience with airtel DTH.

          I already had a bad experience last time with airtel DTH 5-6 months earlier when I moved to a different apartment, that's why this time I planned to inform airtel DTH well in advance so that I can plan my move to Bangalore accordingly. But it seems airtel DTH is hell bent on being a nightmare service for its customers and it's impossible to count on their service.

          The situation for me now is that my stuff will be moved from Hyderabad on 27th november which should have included the airtel dish and set top, but thanks to the pathetic customer service, my requests are lost in thin air and I'm not sure how will I move the dish and set top and get my connection transferred.


          I'd like to know the contact number and email id of Customer care head and personally convey this to him. Also, if I don't get the de-installation before 27th November as requested thousands of times by me to the customer care, I'll get the connection cancelled and I'll personally make sure this story makes its way across the internal forums of a major IT MNC where I work and other internet forums.

          To sum at the end, airtel DTH has been a big disappointment for me on more than one occassion and I wonder what kind o[censored]nprofessional team is running this service.

            I have raised a relocation request from Chennai to Bangalore. The aritel DTH customer care in Bangalore were giving false promises and now after one week also the request is unresolved. This is so pathetic for such a branded product having the worst customer care services.My customer ID is [protected]. I have been waiting to get the device installed in the new address for the past 8 days but in vain.

            I have been using the airtel products for the past 5 years and if the customer care services are in such a situation I would really think of getting all the products (Mobile, Broadband and DTH) cancelled.

              On 20th November 2010 in our office Airtel Broadband and telephone line was found to not working so i called customer care for complaining about this they have taken the compliant ,The Complaint ID 39994212.
              Later me myself went down to check with Airtel cable lines outside the office premises it was found that the main cable to the DB box was not connected properly that means connections were cut, so i called customer care and asked them to update the above said complaint with the former compliaint, by asking them to seal those cable wire to DB Box in a proper way , they came around 1.00PM and checked with lines did some temporary sealing of wires without proper way of sealing it.Now today again same problems were occurring again. The wires were not sealed properly, so when phoned today evening Mr Vijay from Customer care Airtel Broadband said they closed the complaints, without fully solving the problem.So there is frequent problem in Network connections no work is proceeding without network connections.So they said they will take it as separate complaint only.They are not looking into complaints seriously no one turned out still , its very high pressure for me from my management side, kindly help me with this situation.

                  I was using Airtel BroadBand connection. In jul'10 I asked them to disconnect the connection as I don't need that anymore. But they didn't disconnected and asked me to use it for one month (free of cost). They said from next it will be disconnected automatically. But it didn't , and they keep on generating bills. I called up many a times to their call centers and mailed them as well, but of no use.
                  In the month of November one of their representative came to me and asked me , if I want to have reconnection. I said OK, but only if you waive off my fraudulent bill generated from Jul to Nov. He said it will be waived but you have to pay Rs. 200 as reconnection charges and it will be activated from now. But it didn't got activated now whenever I call hi he didn't pick up the phone. I even called at Airtel customer care and written mails to them but no action has been taken yet. I am not able to find the address of the person's office who cheated me on behalf of airtel. My Airtel no. is[protected].
                  The person who harassed me a lot is VIKAS : [protected],[protected].

                  Airtel Broadband — Fraud in generating bills..

                  I have broadband connection. And i am geting wrong bill for it from last three months and evrey time at customer care they said sir please pay this time and next time we will adjust. Every time same words and same sorry. What kind of third class services we are getting in it.But this time i am not going to pay any single penny for it. I have all the details of all my complaints and bills so if problem doesn't solve this time now I have to go consumer court. I must say Airtel services are very poor and third class. Such big company. Shame On ...
                  I faced similar problem from Airtel, they sent me a bill for a "Disconnected" connection.They even sent me notice to not paying the "so-called" connection.
                  Moreover, they threaten to blacklist me from other service providers too.

                    I am an AIRTEL customer for the last 7 years. I had to pay my phone bill for which I got a call from AIRTEL customer care and they offered to send an executive home to collect the money. I gave Rs 5137 to the executive who came to my house and now AIRTEL says that they have not received the money and that the person was not genuine. If the person was not genuine how did he know that I have to pay my phone bill? How did he know the exact amount? His name is Rajesh and his number is [protected]. Is the customer information with AIRTEL not safe and confidential? Is AIRTEL leaking the information which is leading to its customers being cheated? Worst is that AIRTEL executives who call you night and day to pay your bill do not want to help. AIRTEL that claims to be the largest service provider has faults and data leakage in its system. Can we believe any calls that come from people saying they are from AIRTEL?????????

                      I registered a request to deactivate my Landline and Broadband connection with Airtel on 16th October 2010. They registered the request # 1242474. For about a week - I got calls from their Retentition department luring me to continue with the number with subsidies on phone bill etc - which I happily declined and told them that I am not happy with their services and no discount schemes etc would change my mind to continue with them. The final bill for settlement was INR 2580 and I paid around INR 3000 a few weeks back.

                      On Monday 15th November 2010 - I got an SMS from Airtel that my services have been activated - I was furious and naturally quite disturbed. Called up Airtel again and registered the complaint # 39944366 and was transferred to Retention Department (after undergoing several iterations) who promised to get this issue resolved by 21st November 2010.

                      Today is 22nd November 2010 and the number is still active and the IVR tells me an outstanding balance of INR 999 is due for payment. I have never come across such cheats who do not have an integrated communication system. Not only they overcharged me but also have guts to issue a new bill..

                        I have been trying to speak to customer care of airtel, by dialing 121 or 198 to know my offers in GPRS. I almost called 10 times, and before I could talk to customer executive, either the line gets cut, or there will be repeating ring tones and no response from the other end.

                        Is AIRTEL becoming complecent regarding customer care? Even I tried to call relationship office for the same, and they re direct me to 121 or 198 which doesnot work !!!

                        Also, I heard Vodafone offers better customer care than Airtel now a days. . . . .

                        This such type of attitude of the customer care centre situated at East Park Road, Karol Bagh, New Delhi is not so good. I think the staff working in customer care centre is handling the documents in carelessely manner. You are requested to kindly direct the customer care centre to deal the customers very sincerely and co-operately and also all the documents may be handled and place in his custody very carefully.

                        The customer care centre may be directed not to switch off my mobile No. [protected]. Otherwise I will go to Consumer Court for taking legal action against the company.

                          I have applied for the activation of Blackberry services on my Airtel prepaid No. [protected] on 10/11/2010 and opted for Plan BB5 for Rs.100/- for 7 days to try & check the services and the feature of the plan.

                          On 12/11/2010, I recd a message from 121 that BB services are activated and deduction of Rs.100/- has been made on the very same time and also the right top corner of my BB shows EDGE ( in capital letters) but the same was not true.

                          The BB services are not activated on my Airtel prepaid No. [protected] till date and in the last 8 days I have contacted 121, 7070 & [protected] several time and discussed the matter with them and wasted almost 20 hours and spend lots of money on calling these paid Nos.

                          When I contact 121 they are saying the services are activated pls. call 7070 or [protected] as only they can help me and when I contact these No. then they says their record shows that the BB services are not activated by Airtel Prepaid server so they can't help me till the services are activated by Airtel.

                          I don't know who is correct and where the fault is but as a true customer of Airtel who is holding the Airtel No [protected] for the last almost 14 to 15 years if this is the approach of airtel customer executives and the Airtel company by not taking up the matter in last 8 days and just suggesting its customer to call on another no. then I am sorry that I am an Airtel Customer for so many years.

                          As activation of Blackberry services on Airtel No is an internal matter of Airtel after a customer opted the services and paid the requisite fees then I failed to understand why I am suffering for incompetency of Airtel & Blackberry support team.

                          Pls. take this matter on high priority as already 10 days has been lapsed for activation of just a minor service.

                            I have raised a request for deallocation of my Airtel DTH from my old address to new address but they are not processing me request. Whenever I call to customer care at [protected], everytime executive assure me that your request will be completed by tommorow 6 PM. I am facing this issue since last 15 to 20 days but still did not get any respond from Airtel DTH executives. I have faced the same issue in May 2010 when I shifted my connection from New Delhi to (Near Chandigarh Border)Panchkulla Harayana.

                              I am a loyal customer of Airtel and have been using the same number for more than 5 yrs and I'm sorry to say that this is the second time I have to write a complaint on this forum.My mobile number is [protected] (S/o Margaret Gonsalvez).
                              Recently the Airtel Friends chat service has been activated for me without my permission and even after I followed all the instructions to deactivate it, it still continues to send me messages and deducts my balance of 30Rs every month. I have even registered a complaint using 198 but the service doesnt seem to have any effect. It is very sad to see how Airtel is treating their loyal customers in this manner and cheating them of their money. I kindly request you to cancel this airtel friends chat service immediately as I have enough of friends to manage already, leave alone getting new ones everyday.
                              Please do deactivate this service immediately.
                              I am pleased to say my last complaint had effect after I posted a complaint here. I hope you will do the same here.

                              AirTel — Activated chatting services

                              I have been getting calls and SMS from the number[protected] which is an Airtel chatting and news alert services which i have not activated for. Every month they are charging me for the same. The calls come in late in night. the response of floor manager of consumer complaint - Ms Payal was disgusting in all respect.

                              I think Airtel wishes to loot its customer and nice way to make money without any effort.

                              This is wrong way to do it. I believe the authorities should take things into consideration and take action.

                              Airtel — Activated new services on my number without my permission...

                              This is complain against Airtel customer services automatically started some services and charged me without any request from my side..on talk with customer serveice excutive no proper response reply was there....
                              The airtel has resorted to such things to earn money from its customers. The same happened to me. After every few days some service is activated of its own and money is deducted without my knowledge.

                              Even if my number is listed in Do Not Disturb(DND) number "S[protected]" list for years still airtel do not care to stop sending me marketing SMS.

                              My previous complaint number is with airtel is 479687 and[protected] for which the airtel has refunded me the deducted money as well..


                              Even after all this i am again getting sms from 55255 and 55630 which an airtel service

                              I will appeal to all the subscribers to call 121 and get there money refunded and the service deactivated.

                                  I have taken prepaid connection ([protected]) of Airtel. Without any request Airtel is activating value added services and deducting charges. Airtel had activated Airtel Picture post - news service 10-15 days back. They were charging daily basis, I had not seen that message. After 4-5 days again I have received a message regarding deductions of charges then I had contacted Customer Care and asked them to stop the said service immediately. Again today at 4:50 AM one message has been send by Airtel "Thanks for using News subcription service from Airtel. You have been charged Rs.10, whereas I have not send any such request. This way Airtel is taking money from their customers. Hence I request Airtel to stop my value added service and do not activate any vaule added service in my mobile number in future. Also I request Airtel to stop taking charges from their customers in this way and maintail a good relation with their customers.

                                  I am the customer of Bharti Airtel of post paid mobile since 2 years 4 months. In August-08. my mobile No is [protected]. I had requested for call conferencing in my CUG connection for free of cost through mail. After few days it has been activated but when I received the bill, they had charged Rs. 24.00 for the service. When I inquired about this in customer care they told me that this is not a free service.


                                  After approaching to local officers ( to whom I had mailed) they assure me for the correction in bill. But after lots of mail & calls my bill is still not corrected by the airtel

                                  From past 5 months I'm getting cricket update scores on my mobile for which I'm not subscribed. As per customer support executive's instruction, I tried to unsubscribed for that but i got a reply that its not valid. I tried to stop these SMS many time, raised complaint, visited to Airtel Gallary but every time those people assured me that this wont be happened next time, but in vein. Every time I get a bill with this value added service , charges of each SMS RS.3/- . Airtel service team doesn't has the solution for this. Also I'm getting these SMS any time day/night which is really irritating.

                                  Airtel — NEWS ALERTS SUBSCRIPTION WITHOUT REQUEST

                                  I am using Airtel Prepaid since 4 yrs. in KOLKATA & my mobile number is [protected].
                                  On 16th october i received a sms from the number 64611007 at 9.23am that "Thanks for using(subnews, TextBasedServices) subscription service on Airtel SMS. You've been charged Re7". It was done without my any request and they deducted Rs.7 from my main a/c balance, then after that i received a sms from 58888 at 10.25am that i wud receive few news alerts free of charge and again Rs.7 was deducted from my main a/c balance. Then just after that i received a sms from 58888 "Thank you for subscribing to NEWS pack.You would be charged Rs.7 weekly.To deactivate sms UNSUB NEWS to 58888". Then i send UNSUB NEWS TO 58888 and again i was charged Rs.3 for that. Then its on 25th oct in the morning i saw i have received a sms from 54321 at 12.27 midnight that "Thanks for using(subnews, TextBasedServices) subscription service on Airtel SMS. You've been charged Re7". Again they did it without my any request and Rs.7 was deducted from my main a/c balance. I called up on 121 which is the Airtel Custumer Care number and placed my complaint there and they agreed to refund Rs.7 into my main a/c balance and i received Rs.7 back in my a/c. But they are not returning the Rs.17 that was charged on 16th oct.

                                  the company had activated cricket pack 2 times, matrimonial services 1 time, audio movie service 1 time without any request from myself. the height is that we dont get any notification message at the time of activation and company deduct the amount for whole month and send the renewal message 2 to 3 days before the next month renewal. this time we know that the service was activated on our no.
                                  when we contacted customer care exucutive every time they just says that we ll deactivate your service if you dont want. but the question is that how you can do this and deduct money from some one account without permission.
                                  here arrise some question
                                  1) how these services are activated without any request? wheather these are technical mistakes or done intentionally.
                                  2) ther are so many people who dont know how to call customer care executive, when they faces such problem what should they do?
                                  3) why the refund is not made after discontinuing the service.

Last week I got an sms and in reply I sent sms to unscribe. Despite this I got an sms today stating that the news alert service has been renewed and charges deducted from my account.                                   I hold a lifetime prepaid sim card from airtel and the number is[protected]. It happens that after some time airtel activates some of the value added services on my SIM without my knowledge to eat my prepaid balance. I come to know about this when i see a sufficient balance in my account. This has happened 3 times with me. Whenever i call customer service for this they say that they can block the service now but won't repay whatever amount has been deducted for that service. I am fed up with airtel . I feel this as a serious case of fraud being done by airtel with its lifetime prepaid customers.

                                  BHARTI AIRTEL subscribes the users to various ALERT services without informing the user about what are the charges to be paid for the service. It fools around with people by sending messages which automatically subscribe you to the service.

                                  They don't send the method to unsubscribe the service and you have to call the customer care to unsubscribe the service. I have paid the rent for a service which I never knew was activated on my mobile.

                                  I think there are others also who are facing similar problems.

I registered complaint on 23/06/2011 (COVWC[protected]). I did not got any response. Again on 25/06/2011 the amount got deducted for the same. I have raised the complaint again.

                                  Can someone look into this and let me know what i need to do?

                                      I just want to recharge my prepaid moible online.(Prepaid - Gujarat - 98986*****)
                                      However, your newly introduced way for easy recharging (MChek) is stopping me to go ahead and recharge my mobile.

                                      sometime it beautifully says that my card details are incorrect, sometimes it says that iternational cards can not be used (FYI - I am still in india from birth and no other country has issued any card to me. Hope I had one) and sometimes it asks me to enter new ipins.

                                      I have tried using 2 debit cards of very reputed banks (ofcourse Indian banks), but all in vain. You intelligent easy to recharge system just doesn't work at ALL.

                                      I must say it is the hardest way which you guys have introduced without checking that this works or doesnt works. For the sake of the world , can you guys just fix this, so that I can recharge my mobile online.

                                      Atleast, now you guys can learn something form vodafone.in site to recharge the prepaid accounts easily.
                                      Please learn that "USABILITY", "EASE O[censored]SE", "SIMPLICITY" & utmost all "CORRECTNESS" like few things must be pe present in your system.
