I ordered an eybrow shaver from flipkart on 18th May, 2017. Order Id: OD[protected]. I was waiting for 1 week, but the order status wasn't moving at all from "Order placed". In the process of checking the status, by mistake I placed an duplicate order after 1 week, on 24th May, 2017. Order Id: OD[protected].
Please note: Order Ids are different.
On same day evening, Seller shipped both items. When I got SMS for both orders, I realized that there are 2 orders, so thought to save Flipkart's efforts to ship duplicate item. So I immediately tried to cancel my duplicate order, with order ID: OD[protected].
However, when I canceled the duplicate order, Flipkart canceled my original order as well, with order ID: OD[protected].
I was shocked since I was waiting for this product since so long and I really wanted it. When I called customer care about it, person at other end is blaming me saying I mistakenly cancelled both and nothing can be done.
I demanded to talk to escalation manager. A person named "Deepak Bhalia" came online. He also repeated same. When I proved that I did not cancel both and it is flipkart software issue, he is bluntly saying that nothing can be done now.
I had placed my original order under sale and I got discounted rate and I really wanted the order to reach me early. I demanded that since it is issue at flipkart end, please grant me the order at same rate at which I got earlier. But he bluntly refused saying it doesn't come under flipkart policies. I don't understand, how flipkart doesn't have any policy for the mistake at Flipkart's end.
I demanded to talk to next escalation level. Then he kept my call on hold for really long time and nobody responded to me till end.
Since 6 days from placing the order, the status was showing as "Order placed" and wasn't moving. I was calling flipkart customer care daily about it. They said, there is some technical issue but order will reach on time.
When there is technical issue at flipkart side, and for none of my mistake, my original order gets canceled, is it not flipkart's duty to rectify the mistake rather than bluntly saying nothing can be done?
Flipkart has gone really pathetic with very poor customer service.
