I am KC Reddy posting this complaint from Ongole regarding the Docket no[protected] of Gati . I booked my house hold items(two Packets) from Delhi to Ongole AP. I received my items in broken,open condition and some items were missing from the booked packets ,when I asked about the gati branch office located at Ongole , They are replied that it might had happened on the way from Delhi and we are not responsible for that ,there attitude is very bad, I placed total 5 complaints to Gati costumer care and posted in gati complaints regarding my missed items( they always say ,Sir our officer will call you and will solve your problem soon ,,, I kept waiting and waiting .. no one called me ,and the customer care people will speak so hypothetically towards Gati and keep the coustomer in loop of problem always . Such a careless people they are ... thay never reply for complaints posted in their Gati site They never reply to customer complaints,they made a complex process to get things materialized for complaints , by asking send scanned copies of observation note, POD copies, ect ect.
Gati degraded itself by playing cheap tricks with people by appointing or giving its franchise for irresponsible people at the receivers end.

    furniture were sent by my father Sri Baidya Nath Prasad from dhanbad(on 09/11/2011) to Mumbai(received on 16/11/2011) through Gati Ltd under docket no[protected]. two tables and one show rack got damaged due to mishandling of furniture during transport. i made complaint with the company several time, 1st they told that they shall be carrying out the survey of material to ascertain the damage but till date they have not carried out the survey. when i called up on this issue they are telling that i have disagreed for survey than i told them to show me evidence when i have disagreed, which they could not. Now they are not even replying to my mails, when ever i contact them they ask me forward email again does nothing.

      I had booked a shipment from Bangalore (Koramangala) to Mumbai (Powai) on 10th Sep '11. (Docket number[protected]
      Instead, the customer care executives tell me the shipment was booked on 13th Sep, and the assured delivery date was 17th Sep.

      My daily calls and repeated mails to the customer care number have received no satisfactory response. Moreover, I was told the shipment is still lying in Bangalore after 9 days of booking!!!

      I have still not been given any assured of date of delivery, and now I'm doubtful if Gati even has my shipment.

      This delay has caused me a lot of inconvenience in terms of the time and energy spent trying to call their executives, and it has some very important things I've been waiting for which has affected my work as well as my daily routine.

      Request you to kindly take some action against this, as I require the shipment very urgently.

        I moved my Desktop PC from Kharagpur, West Bengal to Gurgaon Haryana using GATI. It was sent on 27 July 2011 from Kharagpur and I was assured that it would be delivered to me on or before 3rd august 2011. But, I didn't get it on the assured date. Also I was not being informed the reason of delay and when I inquired about it on 3rd July, your customer care executive assured me that it would be delivered to me on 4th of August for sure. Then too I didn't get the package and again no information from your side for the reason of delay. Again I called up and again same thing. And finally I got it on 6th of August when I called them again on 6th August.

        So this is the reason you people are charging so much money for moving goods. With this kind of service and irresponsibility you people call your organization GATI. Also there is no proper complaint system. I told the delivery guy that I want to write a complaint against you so give me some official complaint register of yours. He straight away refused that he doesn't have any complaint register and all. He said "Aap complaint karte rehna, hume to sign karke de do taaki hum log jaaye". These are the words of your staff.

        This is just one thing. Another thing is my desktop was packed very well within their proper cartons. So, when I received the package I saw it was fine from outside. So I signed the delivery bill. Then when I opened the boxes my CPU body was damaged. It is not working now. You people are simply frauds. I mean you can't deliver a PC properly. If you are incapable of doing it then you people should not make false claims to the people and charge so high. I mean what is the difference between you and Indian Railways. If I would have used Indian Railways, then too I had to make sure whether my package has arrived or not and there was a high probability that my luggage would be damaged. Same thing happened in your case. At least they don't charge so high for their poor service and don't make these false promises on the damaging of luggage.

        It can't be just one in a 1000 case. Because in May 2011 I moved my trunk and bag from Kharagpur to Kota using GATI. In that case too my trunk got heavily damaged. But that time I thought it could have been those 1 out of 1000 case and also trunk was not that costly. But this time my CPU is damaged and all this is your fault.

        These are my only two experiences with GATI, and if you people are sane enough then you can understand what you people are doing.

        Now, I want my full money refund which GATI took for moving my Desktop plus monetary compensation for the inconvenience caused to me and a proper apology letter for your poor service. If I don't get any fast action on my complaint I would take this matter to consumer court for sure and publish this complaint to every online complaint forums and social media. And two suggestions from my side for your company:
        1. Change your name from GATI to "SHATI" meaning Damage.
        2. And if you want to rob people then go and rob some bank, so that at least people can trust you that you are doing what you are claiming.

        I mailed this letter to GATI on 6th of July. From then on I have sent them around 6-7 emails. They have just acknowledged my mail but they haven't made any progress on my resolution of my complaint. Now it's been 1 month and my computer is still not working.

        gati couriers — delivered damaged computer system

        sir!
        i sent my computer system to my hometown patna from my study place cochi.they delivered it in demaged condition.they assured me that they will pay compensation for that, but 3 months have passed and they didn't take any action.plz take some action against the company.

        Even after the complaint they didn't take any responsibility. They simply told me that they would refund my freight charges. But even after almost 8 months, I haven't received any such thing. Ridiculous service.

        GATI SUCKS!!!

They have been giving me Haphazard timing of delivery but in vain. Irrespective of my various calls for query they are neither answering with certainty nor behaving properly.

            I sent Washing Machine ( Front Loading - 7 Kg.) from Bahrain through Riffa Gate Cargo service to my home in Thane Dist. (Maharashtra).
            Washing Machine was brought to my house on 06.06.2011 but the Delivery person was not allowing me open & check.
            After much insistence we opened the pack in front of the delivery person and he witnessed all the damages. He told me to write all the damages on the back of the POD bill (Proof of Delivery) & I wrote all the damages very clearly on the back of the POD bill. I'm not sure whether this is the proper way to mention any damage OR the delivery person misguided me.
            I followed with the Cargo service in Bahrain, but they received the scanned copy of POD & they say as there is no remark on front of the POD they can't do anything. It is falsely entered in the system of Gati Ltd. that everything is normal. The delivery person cheated.
            I followed with Gati Ltd. customer care service & asked them to sent me both Front & Back copy of the POD so that I can follow up with Cargo service in Bahrain & they can approach Insurance company for any claim.
            I reminded Gati Ltd. last on 2nd July,2011 but there is no response from them.

              Hello,

              It's shameful to see that an item over Docket #[protected], is found un-delivered. This was package was due delivery dated[protected]. There were a total of 26 Items (Household), out of which only 25 were delivered.

              The Gati System shows all items as delivered and NO debts have been updated.

              The Peenya (Bangalore) Gati office did a manual check and found that the Package has not been delivered to them. They say it is either missing from Allahabad or Patna. They have not been able to track where the item was lost.

              Would want to know if you could help me find out the missing baggage?

              Description of the package:
              3f X 3f X2f Hand Bag (Black in Color with Red Stripes), wrapped in a white colored Jute Gunny bag.

              Value of the contents: approximately Rs.15,000 to 20,000 worth clothes and policy papers.

                My docket that was given an assured delivery date of June 2 to Imphal is yet to be delivered. I have not received any details so far as to where my cargo is right now and why that is taking so long to be delivered.

                This has been the second time I have had trouble with tracking my consignment through GATI. This time I also fear something might have happened to my cargo as the status message says that they received only the documents and no packages.

                Whatever be the case, it clearly does not deserve the title of Superbrand. If it is a risky proposition to send any item above 7000 through GATI, they should clearly mention that in their site.

                Gati is the worst shipment transport company. I am also experiencing same. There must be ban on this company by Government.

                  I booked a consignment of 14 boxes through Gati. The delivery people were flinging my boxes out of the van right in front of me at the delivery point. To top that my air conditioner was completely broken and does not even work now.

                  They do not take any responsibility for damage during transit and are hence extremely careless about the condition they deliver the goods in. I cannot believe this company won awards for their service. Guess even that is rigged in this country.

                    I was told my luggage would be picked up on 12th May, 2011. He called me up at 5:30 pm to pick up the luggage. I told him to wait for 10 mins or he come later on after picking up goods from other people. He said that he would come in eventing. I started making calls to these people from 8 pm. kept on trying for an hour no one picked. At 10 pm they call me up and say that their vehicle is full and cannot take my luggage today. I argued over the phone for 15 mins said that i was urgent and I am supposed to tommorow in the afternoon. He told he would pick up next day at 12 noon. I said fine and told him to be on time. i called him up in morning again at 10 am to confirm if he was coming. He said he would be there between 12-1. I started making calls but no one then responded. At 1 pm he picks up the call and says he cant come now. I called up Mr. Abdul to get the status. He said he would do something soon. After 10 mins I get a call from the local guy and he said he cannot come. I asked him his name and he refused to tell me. Its 1:30 and the luggage is not picked and i have not received any call from Mr. Abdul. I have advised people not to use your services.

                    Also the there is discrepancy in charges. I asked Mr. Abdul he says the rates are 30 kg for 500/-. Where as the local guy tell the rate 14/- per kg + 200/- insurance + 10% service tax. And they have even charged with different rates to different people.

                      I have booked 4 items including one Bike From Indore (M.P.) for Bangalore on 27th April 2011. Assured delivery for these items was on 02 May 2011 in Bangalore at destination.

                      Even passing a whole day of 02 May 20111 nobody has turned up to deliver booked stuffs.

                      At least on 03 May 2011 i was expecting Delivery off my households and bikes but again by the end of the day situation was Same :(

                      Tried Calling Toll free number on GATI's site[protected] and [protected]. In first call which i Made on 03 May 2011 ti got message this is not valid number for Toll free. I tried [protected] body was picking call on this Mobile. I tried Bangalore Location (Peeneya) number provided on their site but no body was bother to pickup call

                      Today on 04 May 2011 i again tried Toll free and got connected with customer care team and they game me some stupid excuses for delay in delivery and Customer care executive Swati Kumbhare gave me Ticket number 11058162 with a promise of call back in next 3-4 hours.

                      On Mobile number [protected] when i tried the person other side so unprofessional even dont dont have basic manners on how to talk to customer. He was just keep shouting that he can not hear me in toatally uncivilized language

                      Kudos to Gati Cargo. Even if it is a last Cargo service on earth, I will not recommend to anybody from experience which i getting.

                        Hi,

                        I had a shipment of 18 packages sent by Gati from Asansol, West Bengal to BTM layout , Bangalore , Karnataka for Chhandita Guha with docket no::[protected].

                        I was assured of assured delivey date of 18th Apr 2011. It did not reach my place on the given time. On being called at their customer care and waiting for an awful long time to respond, the Gati people came up with an excuse that they couldn't because they couldn't get through to my phone.

                        On checking with the online(internet) tracking system of Gati, it showed 'Out for Delivery' since 9am which is again a clean BLUFF..The page also shows that the goods were delivered at the 'Bangalore South' at 0829 hours on the 18th Apr 2011 . They never went out to deliver. Now i fear for my packages with such irresponsible behaviour on Gati's behalf..

                        This kind of horrible negligent service is totally unacceptable from a reputed organization like Gati.
                        I wish i had a way to sue them for the inconvenience they caused me.

                        I have a similar experience

                        Consignment from Punjab to Cochin with Docket number[protected] was assured to be delivered on 17/8/2012, but till date (31/8/2012) i haven't received the consignments. Through consignment tracking i could find that consignment has reached Cochin on 22/8/2012, four days after the assured delivery date. When i contacted them over phone i got some lame excuse for being late and promised new delivery date. Till now the consignment is not delivered. This is the 3rd time delay is happening. Every time when i contact customer care and they are not taking the situation seriously.

                        Don't know why they are giving false commitments.

                          Sub:- Complaint Late delivery & Damages.

                          Respected Sir,
                          This is in ref to the poor service provided by Gati since last 2-3 months.
                          Either the material is delivered / recd late or the consignment is delivered in DAMAGED conditions.

                          On 16.10.10 we had send a HP Printer value rs. 139650/- at Reliance Infra ,Waidhan ,MP.vide dc no:[protected] which was delivered in damaged condition on 21.10.10 .

                          Another HP printer was send On 22.10.10 a HP Printer value rs. 305360/- at Sasan Power Waidhan ,MP.vide dc no:[protected] which was also delivered in damaged condition on 01.11.10.which was Rejected by our Customer for which we had complained no: CS33058 .

                          Against which we had again arranged & dispatched a new printer on 26.11.10 a HP Printer value
                          Rs.305,360/- at Sasan Power Waidhan ,MP.vide dc no:[protected] which was delivered on 04.12.10. instead of 29.11.10 as assured date of delivery .
                          This consignment was lying unnecessarily at Gati Indore from 22.11.10 to 30.11.10. means DELAY in delivery of 7 days for which we had complained no: CS33465 .but of no use.

                          Due to damage caused in transit for both the consignments we had send our two engineers on 29.11.10 at MP from Mumbai to check the damaged machine & install the new machines which was supposed to deliver on 29 Nov,
                          Since 29. Nov their time & money is unnecessarily wasted due to LATE DELIVERY done by Gati Indore.

                          WHO WILL BARE THE EXPENSES OF HOTEL ACCOMODATION & MEALS for 7 days of 2 persons , also the CANCELLATION Train Tickets due to delay in delivery…7.12.10 they have still not got the train reservations to come to Mumbai.

                          Request you to kindly advice that how to resolve the UNNECESSARY EXPENSES incurred by us..

                          GATI — Poor Service

                          Gati has a poor delivery schedules and tracking mechanism.

                          I was given a assured delivery date and didn't happen. When we contact the customer with tracking code , the response is poo. In sipte of registering a complaint with complaint team (so called) , no improvement

                            My EPF credited very less Rs:14558. According to my previous year[protected] EPF) closing balance (Employee's - Rs:17117.00 Employer's - Rs: 5232.00) Total-Rs:22349 and tell 31/05/2010 i worked in Gati Ltd., So another one year EPF deduction also need to be added.

                            I checked Chennai EPF office they told, we are not able to provied any details, because your company enrolled in AP, so check with your company.

                              I want to derive your kind attention towards harassment, delay in delivery that too not to destination by the GATI courier services.

                              I made a shipment with #[protected] from mysore to ludhiana on 27th nov,2010 and assured delivery date was agreed 2th nov, 2010.My shipment reached in Ambala on 2th nov,2010, but they told me to collect shipment from Ambala instead of ludhiana after befooling and wasting my time nearly for three days. I had paid cost of RS 3300 for giving delivery to ludhiana, but later they demanded another 5000 (as a bribe) to deliver at the given location. Else I will get delivery after 2-3 months. I have contacted them on following numbers :

                              Now I have received my bike from Ambala and found that they have changed my rear tyre. They are not refunding my fare from ambala to ludhiana as I collect it from ambala but the deal was upto ludhiana.

                                Dear Sir,
                                We have received consignment from our supplier from Noida sent on 12th of october 2010 on 19th of october 2010 by GATI by docket no[protected]. The docket copy says topay amount as Rs 727=00. where as we were charged Rs 1003=00,

                                On contacting GATI, we were told that the balance amount is towards damurages & second attempt charges, where as the material was lying in their godown for so many days and our office was closed. Our office opens at 10.45 Am and closes at 8 PM six days of the week.

                                where as they have not attempted for delivery until we started making enquiries for delivery & their website tracking details says;- the material has reached in nagpur on 15th oct & showed out for delivery till 19th oct & REDIRECTED TO NEW DESTINATION on 18th for which we have not received any call from their office also they claim FREE WAREHOUSING FACILITY AS PER CONTRACT what does that mean?(http://www.gati.com/single_dkt_track_int.jsp)as mentioned in the tracking details of their link in website

                                The details of the communication are as follows:-
                                their staff on tel no [protected] was contacted by us on 18th Morning and we were told that the material was out for delivery, by evening we called again and were told that the concerned person who has taken the material for delivery may be contacted directly on 37 (last digits ) we tried calling on 37, 32, 36 but no body responded with any clue about the parcel. The tel no 37 was ringing and was not picked for reasons known to the dispatch boy ( Mr Prabhakar salve as per the lady on 25 ).

                                Anyway now that we have made the payment their staff on 25 ( now picked up by some male ) says nothing can be done we should have called before making payment. that's very funny.

                                I think there are better ways of making money instead of making fool of common men.

                                If they feel Rs 727=00 was not enough than they should have increased the rates and charged instead of charging for damurages and second attempt charge( what a joke ).

                                In 2006 also same thing had happened and we were charged demurages without any reason and then their company issued a apology letter, which its now clear has made no effect on their working & attitude.

                                Its we who are fools who end up using their useless service of ....DURGATI

                                we also know no body will bother to reply as has happened when we called [protected] customer care no and asked the operator to transfer the call to some one responsible but as expected there was none, every one was busy in meeting but nobody bothered to look into our grievances.

                                kindly requested to look into the matter & do something so that we common men's money & interest is protected from such 420 companies/organisations

                                If we does not get any response from consumer affairs dept & the concerned company, we will be left with only one option to take legal course & file a complaint in consumer complaint dept of nagpur civil lines & lodge a case of 420 & get legal notice for the miscreants & misdeeds of the company.

                                    Sir/Madam,

                                    I have booked a cargo (7 cartons) with GATI Ltd. with respect to Docket no.[protected] dated 5th October 2010 from New Delhi. The cargo reached Ranchi on 11th October 2010. But, when it reached my home, the delivery boy asked me to pay Rs. 3192 as against Rs. 2592 mentioned in my docket (invoice). He showed me the copy of invoice, in which all figures were overwritten. He asked me to talk to Delhi office of GATI. When I talked to them, they didn't respond well. They said the fares increased due to Commonwealth Games, etc. and the guy who booked my cargo was unaware about it. I said it's not my mistake. I should pay what is written on my invoice. They compelled me to pay Rs. 3192 or else they wouldn't have delivered my cargo.

                                    So, I want to launch a complain in the Consumer Court regarding this. I want the excess amount paid to be refunded and a fine from GATI for negligence and irresponsibility from their side. I have attached the copy of invoice (my copy and their copy) with this complain.

                                      My shipment was sent by me on 29th Sept'10 at 11am & I was assured that my shipment would be delivered on Friday 1st Oct'10.I checked the GATI website to track my shipment & found that my goods had indeed reached Bhopal(destination) on 1st Oct'10 at 11:46am,however no attempts were made to deliver the goods the same day,knowing well that 2nd & 3rd Oct'10 would be holidays.I even called on 2nd Oct'10 to report the issue with the Customer Service at the 1-[protected] mentioned in the website & the agent was very blatant & rude in his behaviour.He rather asked me to visit the GATI office from where I had send the goods.On 4th Oct'10,I checked the status on the website & found that my goods were still lying in the GATI warehouse & was not delivered to the Bhopal address.4th Oct'10 is the assured delivery date according to the website status.I then spoke to Neha & Mallika(Customer Service Representative of GATI) & they took the complaint & assured me that they would arrange for an urgent delivery by evening of 4th Oct'10.However untill 6:30pm today (4th Oct),the shipment has still not been picked up from your Bhopal Godown & delivered to my Bhopal Address.I then called the GATI Office Bhopal's phone # & was told that their courier services in Bhopal have been discontinued from 1st Oct'10 & that they would try to deliver my goods by Tuesday 5th Oct'10.This person at the Bhopal Office was absolutely useless,non-helpful & disconnected the call abruptly on my face. The tracking #s for my shipments are as follows:[protected] &[protected]
                                      My complaint numbers raised through the customer service are 10756355 & 10756392.
                                      Also when i wanted to check the complaint status on GATI's website,it would not show any details at all.
                                      Please help as this is very upsetting & annoying as GATI didn't inform me about their discontinued service in Bhopal at any point in time during this entire period,except at 6:50pm on 4th Oct'10,when i called their Bhopal Office.This is ridiculous & calls for stringent action against the company which claims to be the best in logistics across Asia.
                                      I do have screen shots of my Shipment Status & Complaints Status though GATI's official website,however I wasn't able to attach them here as the photo size was more than 2 MB.

                                      my services — status of items

                                      dear sir/madam,
                                      will you please let me know the status of my items enclosed in an envelope, containing some
                                      confidential and urgent notes having consignee no.[protected]dated13 apr 09 and other one is
                                      [protected] dated15 apr 09. as per schedule the items should reach within 03 days.who will
                                      bear this losses???if you find my courier please inform me on [protected].
                                      thank you very much.

                                      Undelivered my luggage and harassing me without giving any updates

                                      They have given an assured delivery on 3rd nov 2014 and till now the package is not deliverd to me. I even filed a online complaint and also trying to contact them no one is answering their phone.

                                        Looking at the number and type of complaints from others, in addition to the problems we faced in last three shipments through Gati.com, we believe, and have recommended them too, that they should change the name to Dheeli.com which is the best looking at their performance.

                                        One wonders why this company is ripping the clients - receiving overseas parcels/shipments - by charging Customs Duty on non-existent products and handing them over their own Receipt instead of official receipt issued by the Customs Department.

                                        One hopes that all clients, who have faced such problems from Gati Ltd., comes together to file appropriate case in the court of law.
