I am having a Saving a/c in HDFC Bank which is adequetely funded with a Fixed deposit of more than Rupees 1, 50, 000/- till december and an RTGS of Rs 1, 50, 000/- was also cleared in the month of december, The same amount of 1, 50, 000/- was in my Fixed deposit account for more than a year. the same bank charged rs 1685/- as avg quarter charges for non maintainance of funds, which was already there as stated by myself

After a continues follow up one of the manager of HDFC Bank Noida branch Ms Shikha Chawla sent me a e mail on 5th of february, that the charges will be reversed in next three working days, but as of today the same is still pending.

Presently I am working and based at Singapore and called at least more than 20 time, did email correspondence almost 15 times but I am getting no responce from HDFC bank

    I am a corporate salary account holder with HDFC bank and there are muliple issues that I would like to address. These are all related to product communications made to me and on purchasing the product the commitments were never met.

    1. Credit Card : I received a call from the HDFC Bank Credit Card division in the beginning of January 2009, that being a salary account holder I am entitled to a Platinum Plus Credit Card from HDFC bank with special privileges attached with it. I would like to relate what was told to me about this product.

    i. I was told that I would be entitled to a Credit Limit of Rs 500, 000/- which has been calculated based on the take home salary. Despite the fact that I related the salary amount to them, and clarifying a number of times, the credit limit was confirmed to me as mentioned above.

    ii. I was told that I would would get an add-on card which I could get in the name of my spouse if required.

    iii. I would also be entitled to 2 extra cards which will be exclusive Petro benefit card and shopping benefit card. On asking about the same I was informed that these cards would be linked to my main credit card and can only be used on petrol pumps and for shopping respectively. The benefit related to me was that I could keep the main card home and take the other cards for the petrol and shopping without the risk of exposing the entire credit limit. Any theft of these cards and the main card is protected.

    With the hope and need of a high credit limit, among other things, I applied for the card as suggested. I received my credit card a few days later which was not only a surprise, but a sheer disappointment. The credit limit was only Rs. 80000/- !!! The petro card and the Shopping card were not there. I had a specific purpose for the high credit limit, which has been defeated entirely!!!

    On enquiring about this I was informed that this is the limit set by the credit committee based on my Salary !!! And there is nothing called a Petro Card and Shopping card along with this card!!

    I am still awaiting a redressal on this from your bank despite talking to many officers and managers at the bank. I am looking forward to your intervention and redressal.

      Regarding wrong information given to me both in pre sales and post sales(Policy #[protected]

      Dear Sir,
      This is to state that I have been given some wrong and misleading information both in pre sales and post sales by my policy advisor – Saswati Dasgupta (Mob No. [protected]). On[protected] they are deducted 24000/- from my credit card as a premium of first year. From beginning I was told to Saswati Dasgupta that I want to cancel and stop the policy.
      Once (dated.[protected] I asked to Saswati that how to cancel my policy and what formalities are there? She said nothing else only send a cancellation request letter with Xerox copy of policy document by Fax. So, I have sent it as a fax to HDFC Standard Life Kolkata branch (Fax No.[protected] on dated[protected] because I got the policy document on[protected], after received Fax copy no reply has come from their side.
      In between all this my free look period was gone Till the time I was convinced that I have been cheated my free look period was gone, this happened because my policy advisor. So I confirmed it to Saswati Dasgupta and asked Fax has received or not? She said they received Fax correctly and again she assured me that it will take 4 to 7 days more to cancel the policy and you do not have to pay Rs.24000/-.
      When, I asked (dated[protected] because of more holidays) client service desk of HDFC Standard Life and they told me that they are not received any Fax and Fax are not accepted to cancel any policy and the policy won't be cancel because free look period was over. This time they also told me that policy advisor peoples are given me wrong information and they suggested me to lodge a complaint against them. At this point of time I was totally confused so I again asked to Saswati what I have to do at the moment. She introduced Mr. Santu Nandi (Mob No. [protected]).
      Again Mr. Santu Nandi also said (dated[protected] that I have to send a new policy cancellation letter along with original policy document. So, I have again sent it by courier to HDFC Standard Life Kolkata branch on dated[protected]. But the entire document returns to me on[protected] by another courier. When I asked to Saswati as well as Mr. Santu Nandi they told me that I have no option except to put a complain letter first. So, I have sent this complain on dated[protected]. But on (Dated 16/02/09) again they said they are not received any complain letter but I have the delivery receipt from courier service.
      Please help and send written confirmation of the cancellation to the address below as soon as possible.

      You are the only one who has been cheated by unethical and unprofessional working style of HDFC group.

      Let us create group for same suffering reason and work to ensure that privates bank are profibited by severe punishment from court and stopped this kind of cheating.

      I am also suffering the same and want to ensure that in future this does not happen to others.

        Subject- Unethical business practice and cheating customers

        Please go through my problem description as listed below
        1. An agent from HDFC comes to our office (QuEST, Mahadevapura Bangalore) and informs about an offer of issuing a FREE GOLD DEBIT CARD. He told this was because mine was an salary account and as an employee of QuEST I am provided with this facility, this takes place on 24th Dec 6-30 pm. Telephone number from where I got the call[protected]Koramangala Branch). Mobile number of one of the agents who came to me [protected].
        2. I sign the form and ask him to proceed to avail the GOLD card.
        3. I realize I am expected to get cash back of Rs 500 from MasterCard on one of the purchase made using my old debit card, unaware that irrespective of the card status I will get the cash back anyways.
        4. I call him next day early morning (9am) and inform him to cancel the application. He promises he will do the needful.
        5. After about 14 days I get the GOLD card couriered to my office address. I enquired with the agent who collected the application form and he told not to receive the courier and it will be cancelled automatically. I ask him if my old card will be valid and he says “yes” .I see that an issuance fee of Rs 500 is deducted from my account, when enquired about it the main person who contacted from your branch says it will be credited back to my acc in 2 days as I have not accepted the card.
        6. I call customer care to lodge a complaint, and I was told my old debit card is disabled and also as I have not accepted the new GOLD card its better I disable it too to prevent any misuse! Now I don’t have any ATM card from that account. Call centre representatives say nothing can be done about the 500 rs debited as issuance fee (which was lied to me by your representative that it’s free) and I need to contact nearest HDFC bank for assistance.
        7. I am regularly getting calls from your branch even now to apply for a free GOLD debit card and when I say the problem I faced they deny accepting it and still claim that the GOLD card is free! Hats off to you all.

        Is this your marketing strategy to increase the GOLD card customers? Is this the way the employees are trained to get more business? Are you least aware of the consequences you need to face if I spread this news about your business practice of telling lies?

        I request you to please do the needful to get my debit card issuance fee of Rs 500 + cess applied on it Rs 61.8 credited back to my account asap and also request you to enquire about this incident with the employees responsible for it.

        Kindly do the needful for the same and help me with this at the earliest.

        Dear sir
        Due to sudden loss in my business I cannot afford to pay the monthy installments of Rs 8078 of my car (model 2004)Santro PB08 AN 7002 {purchased in 7 feb 2007} under Used car loan, .account number2884289.I have already paid the monthly instalments till 7 feb 2009.The balance now is Rs 82000 approx .
        Earlier the loan was sanctioned through ICICI Bank for the amt Rs 2lacs .for 5 years & monthly instalment of Rs.4600.00 only.I have paid 7 instlaments.but due misguidiance by Mr. Pradeep from HDFC bank{O.D car loan and Od deptt}.
        It is the first time that i have availed for the loan facility and for the first time was introduced to the term O.D.According to Mr. Pradeep the procedure would become simple by giving us a limit against our car for the remaining amount that would be paid to ICICI.and i did as he said .He also told me that my account should not contain less than 8400 Rs. This O.D cont. for 8 months.after 8 months when i checked my statements the OD which was previously of Rs 190000 approx turned to Rs 220000.On informing Mr.Pradeep, i was told that he will close my OD asRs 2600 interest would be charged even when the amt in the account is there.Being a layman in accounts i followed your executive blindly.Then he told me that he will help me to close the OD for which another 1400 would be charged (no receipt given)and gave all the documents (debit card R.C of my car, cheque books etc...) and then he got me sanctioned a loan for Rs 225000 for a tenure of 3 years monthly instll (8078Rs) through your bank.I asked for my car's R.C .For this purpose he again asked for800 Rs.I had told him that my salary is Rs 15000 .the only earning member of my house .I have two daughters.how can i afford to bear an instll of 8078 Rs .Inspite of this i have paid for 2 yearsand 2 months .but now as i have said due to sudden loss now i cannot afford to pay them .I am really depressed at this as thecar has costed me and my families life .I am unable to make up with my families needs . I was earlier a holder of mutual funds in HDFC but now i have lost faith in your bank.
        i request you to remit some amount keeping in mind my problem .this is the last request to your bank, .I shall be highly grateful to you if one time settlement can be done of my account .

          For me HDFC sets standards but lately they have disappointed me. I don't appreciate the collection department calling my house and using abusive language with my folks. The tele-callers even girls use
          abusive language; are these the ethics downloaded into them? If my cell is not reachable they can mail me as you did this time, I didn't expect this kind of behavior from HDFC. I have updated them with my
          temporary Bhubaneshwar no.; also I'll update them once I get my post-paid connection. By next week both my Delhi & Bhubaneshwar no. will be reachable.

          I've been associated with HDFC for a very long time at least 4 year; I have 1 savings account and a personal loan running. They have all my necessary details, I fail to understand that they can't even judge who's a fraud? Believe me I'm not running away with the money.

          I apologize for not paying my account regularly, as I was not working for the last 6 months. Before that I paid my account regularly. I explained the same thing to the collection department but it seems they don't understand. They just know how to nag people and screw one's happiness; I think they don't believe in HUMANITY. I've just joined IL&FS ETS division a month back, and due to my official project I'm in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa for the next 6 months. Slowly & eventually I'll pay off my account and close it.

          I don't know where to go and complain, I don't know how should i go about it. I also replied to the lady who mailed me from HDFC. I don't know whether it will help or not.

          i m having a credit card o[censored]r bank bearing no [protected] i m paying monthly minimum amount due to executive send by bank every month last month i didnt pay any amount to ur bank . ur collection department calls me & use abusive language with me every day, in that case i m sorry to pay any o[censored]r dues & i will lodge complaint against bank & ms NIDHI who calls me frm[protected] & use abusive language i hav payed interest more than i hav spend on my c.card

          The Water is coming smell & dirty,
          We have complined to House owner, but not taking any action, The Water tank has not been cleaned for past 4 months.

          Hi All,

          I have a credit card of HDFC bank and was paying the money on regular basis. This time I did not pay on time and they called up my mother and gave a threaten to her. She got tensed and called me to explain everything.

          I got pissed off with this behavior. When a lady from HDFC called me I told her that I am in office and wont be able to talk to you, she denied and started calling me again and again. I was in the meeting that time and when I switched off my cell she called my mother..

          First and Important thing Customer/Collection department are not supposed to call any of the employee during working hours.. I am going to close my card facility.

          This is Dinesh. I took a credit card of HDFC before 5 years. I had a payment due for 2 months. I received a call in month of october who was using abusive language very badly. His name was Mohammed. He called from the number [protected]. When i called to HDFC they said the collection is a complete different department which they dont keep records. The lady i spoke she took a complaint and gave me a complaint number which was [protected]. But no action was taken.

          Today on 19th november i was in office and the person name RAVI called from the same number on my landline at my home and started using abusive language with my parents. The time when i took the card the language which was used by these people was completely different. I am very disatisfied with HDFC and would recommend the people who are reading this, would never go for this bank.
          For me HDFC sets standards but lately they have disappointed me. I don't appreciate the collection department calling to and using abusive language

            Dear Concenr,
            I have an Saving account with HDFC Bank and i have taken a personal loan from HDFC bank of Rs. 196000/- in April 2007, My first installment was due on June 2007, i have cleared all the installment of rs 7936, till now. i have completed 21st installment in the month of Feb 2009.

            But my installment of Rs. 7936 was bounced due to 3rd Party Cash payment other then home branch,
            i was charged 111 Rs. from my account which i was not aware about and i was never communicated about this charges would be applicable to my account. As a part of Rs. 7936-111=7825 was debited from my account and for an amount of rs. 111 my SI has got bounced. now the bank is asking me for a payment of rs. 400 Cheque bounce charges and 111 due for installment which is due for feb 2009 (How come it is possible if i have submitted a standing insturction of rs7936 and they have debited amount of Rs. 7825 ? because they can't debit amount Less or not more then actual Standing instruction was given for ? correct me if i am wrong.

            I have told them, i will not be making any payment of Rs. 400 for CQB, i am ready for making due payment towards 111 installment of Feb 2009. if you giving me reversal of Rs. 400 for CQB.
            or else i would not be making any further payment which is due till this issuge get resloved.

            Kindly suggest me what to do ?

                I had taken a ULIP policy from HDFC standard life insurance. The agent misled me by not disclosing all the charges. I did not go through the policy document for some months. Later I came to know that I have been cheated. I submitted an application form to surrender the policy on 5th January 2009 in their Maninagar branch (Ahmedabad). I even returned the original policy document on the same day. I asked the person to whom I handed over the documents "Is there a possibility of ECS going through again?" He said no. They would take care of it. ECS happens on 16th of every month. After 2-three days, I received an automated SMS from HDFC saying that my account would be debited on 16th. I went to the Maninagar branch again. They re-assured me that no ECS would take place. My account was debited on 16th. Rs 1500 was gone. I again personally visited the branch. They said they would escalate the issue. I received a letter from HDFC on 14th Feb 2009. It says "This is with reference to your letter received on January 28, 2009, where in you have requested to surrender aforementioned Unit Linked Young Star Plus 11 policy[protected]! This is patently untrue. They are reluctant to refund my 1500. This is corporate fraud.

                Young Star Plus is Big Fraud ... They say there are 24 free Fund Switches... Please dont believe this, they have charged 4000/- as Mortality charges for first fund Switch.

                HDFC home loans : For exisitng customers floating and Fix loan rate is 30% higher than new customers.
                and once you become existing customer, your interest rate is increased by 30%.

                HDFC have their own policy of charging Admin fees on loan applications even after Govt. has imposed a rule for not to chrge this ...

                For all the Blogs which are in favour of HDFC, DONT TRUST THEM, they are logged by HDFC people to misguide innocent people.
                Yes, the complaints mentioned above are true. I have been cheated by HDFC SLIC through a represent who was working with Indian Bank. I have taken an endowment policy for 25 years. After constantly making premium payment still they're sending a letter informing that my bonus has been stopped. These fraud staffs are cleared my cheque with some other's account...

                It’s completely fraud! Fraud!! Fraud!!!

                  I had submitted an application for closure of my OD account in the Vasant Vihar branch of HDFC bank on January 05, 2009. Mr. Abhishek Guleria accepted my application and gave me a receipt for the same. In about a month's time I was informed over phone by Mr. Guleria that I need to approach the Deer Park branch of HDFC bank for closing my OD account.

                  In the evening of February 12, 2009 I received a call at my home (landline) from Mr. Kapil Kumar Gupta, who is a customer support officer at the Deer Park branch of HDFC bank. He informed me that I can walk in the Deer Park branch on any working day and contact him for closure of my OD account. He further told that he would be available from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. He told me to carry a set of supporting documents and explained me the location of the bank and how to reach there. He talked to me for about 5 minutes over phone.

                  However, when I reached the Deer Park branch at 3:45 pm on February 13, 2009, I was refused entry by the security guards. They did not even pass on the message to Mr. Kapil Kumar Gupta nor did they allow me to talk to the receptionist. I called the numbers 41392235 and[protected]provided by the securitymen) several times. The calls were not answered. I came back waiting for half an hour.

                  I visited the Deer Park branch again at 11:45 am on February 14, 2009, Saturday. When I met Mr. Kapil Kumar Gupta, he denied having made any call to me and refused any help. I was shocked at the behaviour of a responsible employee of HDFC bank. I reminded him about our conversation two days earlier, but he denied any knowledge of the matter altogether.

                  It is a matter of great shame that HDFC bank is recruiting and nurturing abject liars like Mr. Kapil Kumar Gupta. I hope the management takes necessary action against Mr. Gupta for harassing a customer of the bank.

                    I am Nilan i would like to inform that i tried reaching Debt Management many times but their contact no's are ringing no response.If i call customer care of HDFC they says you need to speak to debt management we can't help.

                    I spoke to Naveen he says he is assistant manager but even he was helpless. I was really surprised being an asst manager he says he can't help customer than what's the use of those people sitting there.It was a very worst experience holding HDFC card.

                    Nobody is ready to settle my payments everyone wants to wash their hand that to keeping my a/c on hold i had already informed them that both of my cheques has been bounced as HDFC people have not been informed me before blocking my a/c.This is my personnal request to everyone who ever reads this complaint plz inform all your friens & relatives & whoever you know not to go for HDFC credi card.

                      I am waiting for my Debit Card pin from past 2 monts. I opened my salary account with HDFC back in Dec-2008 and still waiting for my Debit Card pin. I called sevrel time to HDFC phone banking desk and they are saying I got the pin. I told them to send me POD(Proof of Delivery) but they didn't send it. I already paid for new pin request(HDFC charged 25 rupees) still the problem is same. Whenever I call HDFC back they said, "Sir, you will get a call back in two days". But not received any call back.
                      Now, imagine, I have salary but cannot withdrawal my money. Second, do not have time to go to bank to withdrawal by check.

                      they asking for my address change.. i told them.. u can bring card on your branch address.. but they don't agreet with that.. i am annoyed .. with that..

                        I Rachit Johari holding the credit account with HDFC for the last one year. Not once did I default on any payment on the card.
                        One of my cheques was cleared from my savings account on the 4th December for Rs.6000.

                        I did inform the officials about the same on receiving a reminder call from the bank.
                        This complaint should have been recorded and essential steps should have been taken but instead I was informed that I might have written a wrong number and hence must have gone to someone else’s account. I was asked to fax a copy of the statement which I did fax across to the required people. But I was later called upon by the Debt Management team who informed that no such complaint was recorded.

                        On the 19th December I re-faxed a statement copy to Baninder from Debt Management highlighting the payment release from my account. Baninder being a courteous person let me know that I would have to re-call the Care department and file a complaint and they would re look into the same and credit the payment if it was sent to a dummy account.

                        In the next 15 days after doing so also no one could tell me where my payment had lost.
                        I was being harassed by saying that I could not even write the correct number on the cheque and hence this issue. To validate this I tried my best to get hold of the copy of the cheque from my bank which took me a lot of running around. And the details were perfectly right.

                        In January I still went ahead and made my payment which got credited before the statement date on the 9th January. In February I choose not to since I was already bugged of receiving phone calls for the lost payment which was being termed as overdue payment.

                        On 3rd Feb I spoke with Baninder who asked me to re-fax the copy of the cheque and the statement to her though I had already done it twice to different people. I promised her to do so.
                        On Monday, 16th Feb I received a call from the same department from one Mr. Sandeep who in spite of me informing him to check his notes before speaking with me kept on asking for the 2 months overdue payment. Though the initial conversation was sinuous and we were trying to be on the same page, the latter was not ready to get in touch with Baninder though he saw her notes that she was handling the account. I was called words and also roughed up when there was an exchange of statements. I later conferenced the line to Baninder’s phone which should have actually been his responsibility and got connected to yet another person from Debt Management –Sweta who handled the call efficiently and asked Mr.Sandeep to disconnect the line cause here too he was trying to misbehave and calling me a liar. Let us not forget I am in the 30 day bucket only and as per FAIR DEBT COLLECTIONS ACT (FPCA/FDCPA) or Model code for collections & Repossession of security issued by Indian Banks Association your staff cannot misbehave with customers.

                          I hold an HDFC credit card, which I had recieved recently, as per the welcome kit sent to me with the card, it clearly states that any transaction done more then 5 k can be converted into EMI facility. I called the customer care before using the card and got theconfirmation from them too that the transaction can be converted into easy EMI's. Inspite of my consecutive request calls to the customer care they did not convert, inspite a lady by name RIYA from collections department calls me and abused, she also threatened me by saying that she would send her guys to my home in early in the morning, I was on the way to my office, I requested her to be polite but she refuses and hung up the call abruptly by abusing me.
                          I have the call recorded in my mobile.
                          Please help me out in resolving this issue.
                          As i work in the night shifts, I sleep in the morning times, but they do not allow me to sleep with thier calls and executives walking to my residence in person.
                          please acknowledge me with the further proceedings.

                          I AM A BUSINESS MAN AND I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH ILL TREATMENTS FROM ANY BANK WITHOUT ANY REASON. HDFC BANK IS A PIONEER IN CUSTOMER ILL TREATMENT.                           My name is Santosh Haldankar.

                          I have taken HDFC credit card 4 months ago in Jan-09. I make payments for first 2 months. After that I send letter in March-09 to them for settlement. At that time their representative told me that your account will settle soon. But even after my settlement letter, they had regularly sent me bill and putting 2, 000/- extra dues as a penalty. Now on 7-Apr-09, they have freezed my HDFC Savings account. My balance in my Savings account was 11000/-. Today on 9-Apr-09, they had transfer my 11000/- to their HDFC credit card account for recovery of my credit card bill.

                          When I send the settlement letter, my dues was 14000/-. and at that time they had already hold my credit card and I have not purachse anything after that. Today on 9-Apr-09, their representative told me that my todays outstanding is 22000/-. So 8, 000/- they have increse. Even after transfering the money, they have not yet settle my credit card account and told me to call in next month.

                          Please help me in this matter, as I have no clue what to do?

                              I believe I should put these reasons in a document and sent it across to the bank so that the bank is aware of such misbehavior from the customer care department Mumbai and in future the same doesn’t happen to any other customers. May be the bank won’t take these things into consideration even then worth taking a look at the following point.

                              Customer care person from the HDFC main banking branch from Mumbai had called me up on 17-jan-2009 and informed that the bank doesn’t want to have the bearer of the card XXXXXX as a valid customer of HDFC bank due to a cheque dishonor that got happened in the month of the Jan 2009, which was acceptable. Am not displaying the Credit Card number due to security reasons.
                              The cheque dishonor which happened was the responsibility of the customer, in spite of informing the Customer care that the dues will be cleared via another cheque she whom I spoke to was of the intention that the bank dint wanted me as a customer anymore. Hence I have closed all the dues on my card that were due on the Card.

                              I have complained for my credit card bajaj alliance policy, without my permission they are given my policy, after one month i have given request for cancelation also, again & again i fax to channai also. bt still nt cancel. i have done everything but still my money is not deposited in my account and again they are asking money, they are charging lots of money.

                                I have taken a personal loan fof Rs. 185000/- from HDFC on June 14th, 2007 at an emi of Rs.5442.00 for 36 months. I have been an arddent payer and have never failed in payment of even one emi till November 2008. Then from November 2008, I could not pay as i am out of job due to a very complicated pregnancy. I was contacted by Mr Laxmanan Mathiah of Collections Division, whom i have interacted thru emails explaining my inability to pay as im out of job and am on maternity. I asked him for a few months time so that i can start payiong again, once i get a new job. Mr Laxmanan preferred to remain silent and didnot reply to my emails. Then went December 2008 and January 2009. I already have missed 3 emis due to extreme monetory difficulty. Then i received a call from Shivkumar (Mobile [protected]) on February 10th, 2009 at 17:25. I explained to him my entire situation, that im in complete bedrest due to a complicated delivery and a post-operative complication. I told him that my doctor could prove the same and im out of job due to which i would not be able to pay for another 3 months as it would take me 3 months average to be physically fit to get back to job. I requested him to grant me this time, so that i can resume payment again. On this, Shivkumar started using the most abusive language i have ever heard, or can imagine t hear in my most horrible dream. He used owrds like BEGGAR etc etc and shouted at the top pitch that his voice could manage. I kept on reuesting him to low down as im not permitted to speak for long and want him to understand the case. He continued his saga of foul words and filthy verbiage. Then ultimately unable to bear anymore, i disconnected the call and cried for almost 15 minutes, thinking is this the kind of SERVICE that HDFC claims to provide? is this the way a man can speak to a WOMAN? It is so inhuman and pathetic, the way Shivkumar spoke. He was arrogant, indignanat, rude and most of all vulgar. He denowened his own colleague Laxmanan Mathiah stating "WHO THE [censored] IS LAXMANAN TO GIVE YOU TIME? THE BANK IS NOT HIS FATHER'S. I WANT THE MONEY RIGHT NOW." This is made me decide not to pay anymore to HDFC until i receive an apology from their end. I am aware of my duty to repay my loan and have hence received all calls and emails from HDFC Collection Officers. I have requested them to grant me the time so that i can once again start paying. But their attitude and arrogance has made me want to warn all to STAY AWAY FROM HDFC BANK.
                                Yes it is true that they are arrogant in their approach.

                                  I am having problem with two internet transactions which I made one month ago.
                                  I would like to give a background of what had happened with the two transactions:-
                                  Help4Bill:- I wanted to download a movie “She Stole My Voice”. I went to the vendor website and it was showing the availability of the movie. After making the payment through my card, I found that the movie was missing in its database. I haven’t downloaded any movies from the web site. It’s a case of misrepresentation or even fraud.

                                  Film Baby: - It’s again a web site where we can download movies. They were having “She Stole my Voice”. While I was downloading the movie I met with some technical problem from their end. I contracted then for the solution but then didn’t solve my problem.
                                  I asked the credit card banker (HDFC Bank) to tell the remedy. Bank asked me to sent letter for the stop payment.
                                  I faxed, dully signed letter, to the credit card banker (HDFC Bank) to stop both payments.
                                  As per the current status, bank is saying since the transactions had been made by me it can not be stopped and I need to make the payments.

                                  I need your advice on following matter: -

                                  I have made a credit card transaction. I instructed my credit card banker to stop the payment before the banker has made the payment. Is it not the responsibility of the bank to stop the payment to the vendor?
                                  Do I need to make payments to the bank for the above mentioned two transactions? What other remedies do I have?
                                  I am looking forward for your reply.

                                  I do not have complaint against you but one company called E Music.com from USA despite my request for cancellation of downloading music from May 2009 still continues to charge me. I have received $ 14.99 on 3rd June 2009 & $14.99 on 3rd July 2009 in my credit card number.

                                  Additionally for both these months we were away on holidays & therefore could not make the payments on time resulting in high interest charges from you. I have already made the payments to you on 12th August on my return from abroad.

                                      These is a completely customer harassment, as it is one suffers from being a customer to HDFC Bank and for the suffering to continue or make customer life miserable they have hired Blue Dart to deliver the debit card. Blue dart hard core rude people in the business, chronic liars it very sad the trauma one has to deal with. Still waiting for the delivery of the card, I was called upon and told the card will be delivered at 7.00 pm or before 7.30 am next day morning, as all of a sudden they are bitten by the judicial bug of checking the ID of the person they need to delivery. The address given on the parcel is not enough for them to deliver the package they have to meet the man in flesh and blood to hand over the package, or one should be thankful they are not collecting bloood samples. Please can someone help, I am not able to withdraw without the card and they are playing.

                                        HDFC BANK IS THE WORST BANK I HAD EVER FOUND IN INDIA. I CAN CALL IT A SARKARI BANK IN TERMS OF SERVICES AND PRIVATE BANK IN TERMS OF CHARGES LEVIED ON CUSTOMER.

                                        THIS BANK HAS CROSSED THE LIMITS OF CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLINESS
                                        .

                                        Following are few examples to confirm my statement:

                                        • Bank timings are 10 AM to 3 PM so this bank is not meant for working class, may be only for house wives.
                                        • Customer care centre should be renamed as customer information centre as this can only give you information not solutions.
                                        • Despite of such a customer unfriendly timings for even slightest of problem you have to personally go to branch (like change of mailing address, request for statement etc.).
                                        • At branches obviously all officials too busy without work or so rude in behavior that you don’t feel like talking to them ever.


                                        SO guys here is a bank with perfect example of Government and Private partnership project

                                        I don't know who is giving them these awards. HDFC bank is the worst bank in India in all the terms such as service, timings, system and staff.

                                        Mutual funds & all — customer service not good at brach

                                        Dear sir,

                                        We are totally disagree with service of following branch a)Not resonding with customer requirements.b)Not resonding when asking about NAV s.c)Not Responding on requesting Statements.d)Not respecting customers.e)Not corresonding to statements of Mutial funds.so far no one got NAV statements from this brach.

                                        The reason for above issues all staff who working in This branch are local only.They dont know professionalism.fortunately the bussiness inthis brach is very high because of Brand name only.
                                        This general problem facing with brach since long time so that i am not giving my personnel data.
                                        if your not resolve it,we go for media and customer courts with pakka data.Requesting U to change their attitude in both professionally and personally.

                                        i totally agree regarding he services offered by HDFC bank. I had v worst experience with HDFC, besant nagar branch, chennai. They forced me to take up a mutual fund. After investment, they are least borthered about it. Whenever i enquire, they say go and contact mutual fund branch. i have given instructios to do SIP for HDFC top 200. BUT for 1 year they have invested in tax saver fund. Its clearly a mistake from their side, but they are not ready even to take action. Since the amount is small, they answer asif, what happened now, your money is not lost, its invested with a different fund. Too bad in customer service. we need to pass the message abt HDFC. I personally send a mail to my coropate PRO of my comany to stop recommending HDFC for opening accounts to freshers who join the company
                                        This is the most unfriendly bank and there is no doubt about it. 10-3? what timing it is? If you need this, visit branch. If you need that, visit branch. What kind of mordern bank it is? I have a message for them. Dear HDFC banker, you are not going to exist long with this kind of service. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE as world is changing and quality customer service is the key to success. No domination and rude behaviours anymore. For each and every such behaviour, people are going to load up your grevience cell with tons of letters and emails. Then see, where your rating goes. For now i am happily closing my account with this bank and happy with services of ICICI and AXIS.
                                        dear sir, my daughter has been running errands just for getting redemption amount of the u/m certificate.
                                        they ask about six year old bank account. on asking for recent attestion from bankers, they return us for getting name of the offcial. again they insist for old pass book. despite giving birth date certificate, copy of PAN etc, they continue harassing on one plea or the other, as if to suggest that they want something extra for their services. while a loan of Rs 60, 000 was taken by us to pay college fee of child, in anticipation of the timely payment from the HDFC mutual fund authy, after about 50 days we are still waiting for thier clearance .god save us.
