This is with regards to correspondence reference number: [protected], complaint no:[protected] in hdfc correspondence emails.
Some time, around the 1st of this month (March, 2019) or the last date of last month (Feb, 2019), my saving account was blocked for withdrawal. Distressed, i called hdfc customer care.
Then, from 1st march, 2019 onward to 6th march, 2019, i was told by customer service representatives to either get loan or clear the minimum dues of 16000/- rs. To release the hold on account. And i did the latter, that is, clear the minimum dues.
But, instead of releasing the hold on my account, i am being told by the hdfc team from 7th march onwards that my account has been marked as "lien". And that i have to pay the entire amount to remove the blockage.
This was shocking!!.
Also, finjal of the collection department has confirmed the same about miscommunication between their departments. And even after admitting their mistake, they insist on keeping my account on hold. Add to that, she was hostile, blaming me for missing my dues!.
Due to lack of opportunities, i was living hand to mouth for two months but, now, having found a job, i intend to pay my dues in accordance, but am account has been blocked. Also, please note, while the account was blocked, the house rent money of 2 months was deposited to my saving account. And now, i can't withdraw and am facing eviction in a few days, if this matter is not resolved.
As a customer, i cleared my minimum dues as instructed by the representatives. But, now, i am feel cheated and lied to and am being harassed further for missing my dues. Please release the hold on my account.
HDFC Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
