Below is the mail i received from oneassist regarding my oneassist membership id where they have mentioned that i have given my written consent to them regarding the facility, to start with i was approached by hdfc bank for this credit card over telephone on feb 6, 2018 and the proceedings were done over phone, not once this was mentioned to me that there is any facility called oneassist, i even asked the operator about any charges and i was confirmed there were none and absolutely no details were given to me by hdfc at that point.
Now what is interesting is i never received the credit card because the operator who was too busy selling it to me missed the point that my registered address is not where i stay anymore i stay in a different state altogether, she did not pay any attention to this detail and the credit card got dispatched to my registered address where as i mentioned i do not stay anymore, i also received mail from hdfc stating that due to technical reason they are despatching a different credit card what i find is appaling that you and oneassist have no coordination at all you both have just formed a nexus to squeeze money out of people without giving any information to them. I received my credit card statement on mar 20, 2018 at 10:17 am stating rs 598.39 as amount due i still dint have the credit card with me when i received this mail and finally i am attaching the mail from hdfc bank which i had received on mar 3, 2018 at 7:22 pm where they had already confirmed that they got my card back as it couldnt be delivered and weeks after that i receive mail from oneassist stating about my membership. Now march 3rd hdfc mailed stating that they got the credit card back and on march 20 you are sending me mail saying i have a due amount of rs. 598.39. So you are basically charging for a service which i have not availed yet. And i guess oneassist have taken my mailing address from hdfc bank which i find is breach of my data as i was not informed about oneassisst when the bank was offering me a credit card.
How can someone charge for a service that i am not availing, i do not have the credit card itself and you all have already decided to debit money from my account. I received a text message stating the amount will be deducted from my current account on 8th of april. I have already written to oneassisst regarding the same. I do not want any credit card from hdfc anymore after the fiasco you all created. I will take this further to ombudsman. I have all the necessary text messages and emails that both hdfc and oneassist had sent me. I need this to be looked at on priority basis. And i would appreciate if this charges are taken off.
