My phone number is [protected] under the scheme of DEF200 from Babina dist-Jhansi UP. I have not even installed the sim in my phone. I want to canel this connection as I am happy with your prepaid connection and presently using idea prepaid number [protected]. I have approached many times to customer care centre Jhansi and also by phone to [protected]. even I have written application on 30-08-09 about the cancellation but it was not accepted and turned back. they have not even blocked the number nor accepted the application.I am ready to pay the due amount and please cancel the account so that bill can not be adding.now I am seriously thinking of even dropping my prepaid number of idea and no phone of idea in future.

I don't want any promotional call on sms on my cell phone.

Last 28th i realised that idea cellular ltd deducted some money from my prepaid idea mobile.My number is [protected].After that i have called to customer care, but their character were very bad.

My compliant is against idea company for making false promises and false publicity of the Netsetter Product.

I bought netsetter connection from idea and was assured of getting 236kbps speed but the actual speed is very slow and gives you download speed of 4-8kbps only.

After complaining this issue on regular basis still there is no response from company.

Sir/Madam requesting you to take some action against company for misguiding its customers through misleading information and for poor after sales services.

To buy service of idea is surely not a right IDEA.

my balance have been deducted by idea. On 26 august2009 i got recharge of Rs110 then on 27 august 2009 my Rs30 were deducted . when i ask the reason of deducting the balby ideacare thier answer is that i have accepted request for astrology. but i dont give any request for astrology. then on 27 aug only the msg came frm idea that(thanks for subcribing yahoo aeries) . interesting thing is that neither I send or accept any call like such, nor I received any message of this service till yet but my 30rs gone in a second. This is very serious matter .
this is cheating by idea among customer .
this is my humble requst to look into matter otherwise thier is no option other than consumer court.this my right and i will fight against this harresment.

Sir/mam, I have subscribed the Idea cellular mobile number i.e. [protected] on 14th august against the payment of Rs. 500/-. But the company hasn't activated my number till 19th august and on 20th august the number has been issued and activated to some one else. We have recently moved to Maytas Hillcounty, Bachupally, Hyderabad. I work from home, I have idea mobile number for few years, so I don't want to change it, but because of poor signal strength at Maytas Hillcounty, I am not receiving many calls and also I can't hear properly, if at all i receive call.

Your help is appreciated if you setup a tower near Maytas Hillcounty, Bachupally, Hyderabad, India.

i purchased idia net setter with imei :[protected] & s/n no--d82aa108a2802981 with cell no--[protected] four days before in akola maharashtra from poinear idea shoroom in akola and when i plugged in it was horrible... it is giving only 2 to 8 kb/s...and i was garuteed for more then 150 kb/s ...i have called the seller as well as company customar care many times but no response and they talking arogantely truly it is a very bad idea..i am not going to purchase idea product next time...andf i want to refund my money i want to take a drastic action on such a company which miguide the customarby fake add.

i am a user of Idea cellular pre-paid sim .Having mobile number [protected].
On 27/08/2009 in evening they deduct 40 rupees and 20 paise from my mobile and on inquiring they only tell you have used GPRS .But I never use GPRS on my mobile.
This type of same case are recently happned with my two friends also.
Sir please take strict action again Idea.

I own mobile number [protected]in Nashik, Maharashtra. The number is used by my wife who is a busy eye surgeon. She was asked for some documents which are supposed to be necessary by govt regulations. She was given only 2 days and lots of rude and irresponsible answers when the connection was severed. The disconnection has led to serious problems for some of the patients. When we tried to contact idea office in Nashik, we were told that any way connection is severed and that we can file complaint with anybody we wish.
What are the ways to lodge complaint with Consumer forums and DoT. Being a doctor this can lead to serious problems for us. Kindly guide.

idea cellular service is such a poor service as the poor cust service is unable to resolve a simple query, once you are unhappy about the service, they do not bother to register your complaint..incase they register the complaint, it is next to impossible to get the desired resolution...and the ever ready excuses is just enough to ruin your happiness ! being a aditye birla associated group, it set the expectation of the quality of services far above from others but geting the poorest services disappoint you to the extent that you need to appeal in the concumer forrum for justification of the charges levid on the bill... I need a fair justification of the charges regarding the following charges:
1) GPRS charges [ GPRS(Volume) Usage 27850.54 for Rs 557.72] on page 3 of the bill dated 20/08/09.
2) GPRS Basic Service 20-Jul[protected]Aug-2009 150.00 on page 3 of the bill dated 20/08/09.
3) GPRS Basic Service 20-Aug[protected]Sep-2009 150.00 on page 3 of the bill dated 20/08/09.

if I am being charged for the usage per volume, how can idea charge me rentals again, and if the rentals are being charged, how can idea charged as per usage because the rentals are for unlimited access...i need an clear justification and explaination...

few days back I was promised by the idea retention team that I will get a refund of Rs. 200.00 on the current bill as they did not provide me with the gpre plan requested by me and suddenly increased the price of the same plan...I already have that plan on my second number which is under the same account, and ther quoted that i never requested the same plan for the second number, when i questioned and was preparing to leave ides, this Rs. 200.00 was a token of appology offered to me waice is not mentioned on the bill...that meand ides beleaves on fake commitment on which they do not even bother to action...I dont know that what will be the impact of this complaint on Idea as an organisation, but yes I am expecting a clear justification and I promise that unless I receive a writen justification on my email address from Idea, I will not pay any outstanding amount on the account...and if need I will take it further...thanks.

Charging without reasons
I took a mobile connection no.[protected] from IDEA CELLULAR. I never asked for any special services. Without my consent as well as knowledge, recovery of Rs.20/- per day has been made from my account for service of GPRS for a long time, which I never asked for and I never needed. That recovery has been made without my knowledge or my consent, thus cheating me. All my efforts to contact them and aprise them of this unfair practice tentamounting to cheating has not borne any result. It is unfortunate that there are no easy, effective ways for the public to bring these service providers to the forums for justice. VERY BAD COMPANY.

May I request the AUTHORITIES to save the general public from this Company resorting to unethical working/charging public for services not opted/asked for I further request this Complaints Forum to guide me regarding taking action against this unethical practices being adopted by IDEA.

i activate a scheme of 9000 SMS (100SMS/day)& 500 Min IDea 2 Idea free at night. i m not used this service until last week. i used this scheeme of Free SMS on 23-08-09. after then i start to use this scheme on 25-08-09. then first 20 Msgs are delivered after then the charge is applied to me. then i contact to Customer care they says the scheme is not activated .

These are my last days with IDEA as now IDEA has totally changed & it seems we are not required here anymore, thats why i have decided to QUIT from IDEA Except 01 Number. I have already purchased a SIM of other operator to check its services & rates they are offer in g and believe me they are very low & second option is Airtel from whom i switched to IDEA many years back and i was fully satisfied but now your monopoly is not a good th in g for customers let it be me or any other.

And once you in troduce New Offer Packs then why you can not let the customer avail them once he is ready to pay for them? And if they are at cheaper rates then why i will not change over to them?
Why i am be in g forced to avail only 01 pack? If you see through your records then you will f in d i was already avail in g 02 packs ( one for local calls & other for STD calls) and the same i am demand in g now but you are unable to give the both at same time at my 02 numbers i.e - [protected] & [protected].

So now i am quit in g with cell no [protected] this month & request you to please make my full & f in al statement of accounts in clud in g the DISPUTED MAIL below for your ready reference. And then only i will be able to Pay of my dues if any.

If you cant settle my this Dispute then i will have to go in Consumer court with help of Legal Cell of TRAI whose mail to you below itself is self explanatory.

Dear Sir,

I am a consumer of IDEA Cellular Ltd, s in ce many years with mobile no [protected] of WEST UP and s in ce last few months I have observed that I am be in g cheated and may be other consumers too who are in Post paid scheme and us in g GPRS at monthly rental scheme.

I am us in g IDEA GPRS s in ce many years and in past I was us in g Rs. 500/- per month unlimited usage of GPRS. But later I changed it to Rs.199/- per month Plan with 0.01 Paisa per kb in day time and from 10.00 PM to 6.00 AM Free Plan but my usage was more so I got it changed aga in to Rs. 500/- per month Plan but this time I was told that now it is as follows : Rs. 500/- Rent per month for 100 MB of GPRS Usage Free & After that it will be charged as Rs.5/- per MB and I received a E- Mail of the same from Customer Care stat in g this. But after few days I saw that my outstand in g (Unbilled amount was rais in g like hell) it came up to Rs.3800/- just in 8-9 days after my bill in g date, I was shocked as my services were Barred by the my service provider IDEA. Then I contacted Grievances Cell & there Mr. Akhilesh assured me that he will help me in sort in g out this issue but I have to Deposit Rs. 1000/- then only my services would be Unbarred then I did same & aga in on 3rd day my Unbilled Amount raised & my services were barred and when I asked why my unbilled amount is ris in g so high to Mr. Akhilesh in Grievances, he told me after consult in g there guys that the Bill in g done in GPRS is like mak in g voice calls. If I will use GPRS once and I use to for 10 kb also then also I will be charged Rs.5/- for these 10 KB of GPRS usage and I was shocked to know that how we are be in g cheated by them. As I have confirmed from other states also that other Operators are only charg in g Rs.360/- per month for UNLIMITED USAGE of GPRS not as a Call as these IDEA People do in g in West UP. There Rent is also very High but I never compla in ed about that but these charges are even much higher than .01 Paisa Per KB. I raised compla in t to Grievances & customer care but they replied that there Bill in g is accurate and there is noth in g wrong in it and my Bill amount was of Rs. 6594.70 of period 16th Feb’09 To 15th Mar’09 in which GPRS usage charges are of Rs.4965/- exclud in g Taxes & other charges.



This was very shock in g sir as no where in India it is be in g charged like that & also the consumer is made aware of this in formation that you will be billed like this. The plans in pre paid are of Rs. 20/- per day for Unlimited usage that is Rs.600/- for a Month then how they can charge like this to post paid customers sir.



You can in quire about the rate Plans of All Operators in all states and then you will come to know that how the consumers are be in g cheated by IDEA – West UP.

I am attach in g my Last Bill for your k in d Reference as an Example and your ready reference & records and please register my compla in t and do the needful as this in cident has harassed me a lot mentally & in monetary issue too.



As you are my last hope who can resolve my compla in t as no one in IDEA even at higher level bothered to reply to my mail even. I have attached the Bill in attachments for your k in d reference.

i have purchased 02 idea sim on 28.07.2009 from m/s new zen mobile near iocl gate, begusarai after giving my photo, photocopy of identity card and address proof issued by my employer on letter pad. but on 04.08.2009 my both sim have been disconnection on the pretext that i have not submitted the required documents. when i contacted at customer care he informed that my documents have not yet been received by them and then my 01 sim having number [protected] has been started but another sim having number [protected] has not yet been started. after giving the complaint to customer care they are un-necessarily made correspondence with me stating that your identity proof document is not in original and when i asked them why i should submit the original identity card he now informed that father's name is not mentioned in my identity card. then how he connected my 01 sim if the father's name is not mentioned in the identity card and the identity card issued by central industrial security force father's name is not mentioned in it. now till date my sim has been activated and they are harrasing me. it is, therefore, requested that necessary action may please be taken agianst the company as i think they have lost my documents and making un-necessary correspondances with me.

sir. my name is sudhir sethi, i got a new connection from idea cellular comp just now and recharge 25-25 rupees each coupen and got amount .i never call any body but found that they deduct 50 rupees in my account. i called to c.care on 24 aug.they said they deduct this amount due to activation of sms service made by idea. but i never ask them to activate any service bymyself.my idea nomber is [protected]

so kindly i request you help me regarding this matter and request to refund this amount with regards.
