Two spicejet flight tickets and hotel lotus-bay - view in puducherry was booked through makemytrip for 7 days. Flight got deplanned and spicejet declined any further flights availability. They told us they will refund for flights. Have been speaking to makemytrip help centre about the refund for my hotel and hasn’t yet been processed.
They are telling hotel is denying due to non - refundable booking. But here the fault is not mine and due to weather issues in pondicherry, flights itself have been stopped. Makemytrip should take the responsibility of such hotels who don’t respond in the needed manner during an unpredictable incident like this.

    Below is the entire history of conversations that took place with make my trip post our booking confirmation received on 28th november 2017

    30th nov 2017 - received cancellation from makemytrip of the booking due to volcano disruption at bali. Post contacting your booking agent (Neelam), we were informed that there would be 100% refund for the amount paid as the cancellation was done by makemytrip.

    4th december 2017 - we sent an email about our conversation with neelam stating that we were informed that the entire amount would be refunded within 10 - 15 days.

    29th december 2017 - post several follow-ups with your team for 20 odd days, we then received an email from priti gupta stating that waiver has been received for amount rs. 50424 and it would take 25 days or more for the pending amount to be refunded.

    4th january 2017 - we chased your team asking for when would the refund amount reflect in the account.

    30th january 2017 until 22nd february 2018 - we did several chasers asking for an update as it was now 3 month's post your confirmation that the amount would be refunded, we still did not receive the pending amount.

    27th february 2018 - finally post our several chasers, your team (Priti) responded that she was following with the vendor and was waiting for their response.

    12th march 2018 until march 2018 end - we again kept chasing your team asking for an update on the pending amount.

    5th april 2018 - as we did not receive any response from your team, we raised a complaint (Ref id[protected]

    4th may 2018 - post we writing to your team again, priti then responded stating that a refund of rs. 43865 has been processed on 26th april 2018 and your team is still pending for the refund of rs. 19000.

    16th july 2018 - post several calls and we chasing your team, priti responded that allow 5 days for your team to get back on the pending amount.

    25th july 2018 - again as we did not hear back from your team in 5 days, we sent an email on which priti responded asking us to wait till end of day for a response.

    31st july 2018 - till now we became used to this unsatisfactory practice of your team of not even having the courtesy to inform us about our issue status, we again sent a follow up email on which priti stated that she has escalated it to the manager and your team has not received any response from the hotel about the pending amount refund of rs.19000.

    23rd august 2018 - post asking for an update, we received an email from priti stating that the hotel has denied refund (Mmt ref no[protected]. We even replied to the email stating that we have booked it through make my trip and the booking was cancelled from your company giving us the assurance that the entire amount would be refunded. It's your company's responsibility to pay back our pending amount.

    8th september 2017 - we contacted customer care again (Ref id[protected] for our status on the pending refund amount as we are not receiving responses on timely manner from your team.

    Till date we are just following up with your team with no response at all about our balance amount.

    This has been the worst experience with make my trip. It's really shameful that it's almost a year where we are chasing for our refund amount with your company. Your team doesn't even have the courtesy to give a call back or respond to our emails which is really disgusting.

    Despite several chasers we have not received any response, hence would really appreciate if you could look into this personally and provide a confirmation about our pending amount of rs.19000.

    We have absolety no support from the contacts given to us nishant rai and priti gupta from makemytrip. Its now a year!!!

      I booked a flight ticket on 28th sept at 10:16 pm on makemytrip but once i paid the amount, it showed booking is cancelled. I talked to the support team and they said yes the refund amount will be paid in few working days. I waited for 15 days but i didn't receive the amount. I escalated the issue and from last 20 days everyday they are saying their accounts team is working on the issue or their payment partner is working on the issue but i have not got the refund. It's been more than a month now following up their support team everyday. It's so frustrating and disappointing to have such experience from makemytrip.
      Everyday they says they are waiting for their accounts team to get a reply. I want to know does this take 20 days for their accounts team to confirm.
      They asked me to share bank statement as well in pdf from the day i booked till today. I sent that as well. There is no refund from their side.

      After all my failed attempt i am writing now so that the team take quick action and refund the amount. It's a clear harassment.

      When i have not received the amount, why did you mark the complaint resolved?
      The team told that i will be getting the refund in 3 days but the same message they have been telling me from more than a month so unless i get the refund don't mark this complaint resolved.

      The team said i will get in 3 days but its again 7 days now and there is no refund i got. Why are you guys harassing your customer like this? It's been more than 45 days now since the issue and apart from false promises i have not got anything. More than 20 times i have made a follow up and still following. More than 5 times i visited the bank and got nothing. For how long will this continue?

        I am Deepak, on 30 Oct 18 at about 2130 Hrs, I made a cab booking (hatchback) from Delhi to Dehradun.

        I made a payment of Rs 2288 by net banking mode, and amount was deducted from my account for the booking. I received a payment confirmation message from my bank (SBI), quoting payment reference number IGAERAZMS6 at 2041 Hrs.

        I also received a payment receipt Message from MMTRIP(Make My Trip), quoting payment reference number as NC[protected]P01 at 2137 Hrs.

        But there after no booking reference/ car details/ Driver details was provided to me. On calling customer care IVR system has been asking for booking reference number (which was never provided to me) for entertaining me. Hence I could not connect with any company executives.

        MMT has not only cheated me in monetary terms but also wasted my time, previously for a futile booking and now for enquiry for refund.

          I booked a thailand package from makemytrip. We submitted our passports and requested documents to them which were not forwarded to the embassy on time. 12 days later we got our passports back with "void" stamp. Mmt said embassy has not specified a reason for denial but they could not confess that they themselves did not know about the complete list of documents from us, hence the visa was denied. Instead, now they are suggesting us to opt for visa on arrival despite knowing that thai embassy has already declined visa once.

          We requested them to cancel the booking - they said "no, we can't refund the amount."
          We requested them to share their contact numbers - they couldn't even do that.
          We requested them to atleast refund the visa fee - they did not even do that.
          We requested them to call us back - needless to say they didn't.
          I regret trusting them and blocking my 1.5 lakhs. That's the level o[censored]nprofessionalism these guys display!
          Beware of ankit kaushik & aditi gupta. They are the busiest people in the world as they don't have time to reply via call or mail (Needless to say - busy minting hard earned money of clients.

            Respected sir,
            I have book my ticket in "chirag travels in ac sleeper" and the bus num is rj-06-pb-5394. And i my pickup point is from padmavati parking pune.
            I received a call from chirag travels at 8.30 am in the morning, after that the person said that i got another bus from shrinath travels office swargate. I reached their at 11 am in the morning, after that bus is cancelled from there.. I got the bus at 2 pm which is "non ac". Then the person said me that this bus dropped me to shirdi and from there i'll get my ac bus.
            But when we reached shirdi my ac bus is not there. The bus left us. Then the person said that u have to travel in the same non ac bus. This non ac bus dropped me "nimbaheda" at 9am in the next day. I suffer a lot.. Then from there he arrange me a bus from nimbaheda to udaipur. But in that bus we didnt find any place to sit. We were standing during the journey to udaipur.
            My ticket is in ac sleeper and i did my whole journey in non ac.
            And after that from nimbaheda to udaipur i am standing during the journey.

              I have cancelled my air travel period. Make my trip deducted rs.3000/- as cancellation charges immediately. But little refund amount of rs.1142/- has not yet been credited to my account. They have informed me it will be credited within 3-12 days. This is not right practice. I am a regular customer of make my trip online air ticket booking site. Now i am sorry to say that next time i quit myself from this site. We are working in a maharatna company like steel authority of india limited.

                no option to update an email id/ remove my account

                Make my trip doesn’t provide an option to update an email id of an account. They would ask us to raise a request to update an email id but if we raise a request they would come up with the same answer saying that they don’t have an option to update email of the account.
                Even they provide an option to delete an account unlike other travel apps.. Which is quite irritating.

                Hello, i have applied for uae visa on 17th of october from makemytrip.com app. I was told by neha garg that i will recieve my visa within 3-5 business days but i haven't recieved it. Then on the 5th business day i called and neha told me that the backend team did not process it but they will process it today (24th october) and then was asked to wait for another 5 business day. Today is 31st october which is 4 business days and still i haven't recieved any visa.

                Ialways i send emails to follow up but she never replied. Then when i call the customer care number that time she reads it on the calls and then gives me an update that i have to wait. Same way yesterday also i have sent an email too yesterday following up on this but never recieved any response from neha yet.

                The company had not done anything. They only asked my email id saying it's not registered but infact that's the registered email id. Finally I called the company and solved it by myself

                  I want to delete my make my trip account.The application is not having delete option and the customer care is telling to mail.I have mailed in the mail id they were given but they did not revert back.It is very frustating now.I have called customer care so many times.But they do not have any solution, they are saying me you can only wait.
                  This is an individual choice whether to keep the account or delete it and this so wrong that they are not providing the delete option.

                    You are all scandalous unprofessionals, conspicuous and blatant liars, have never ever come across such heedless and delusive management who have won dubois entitlements for deceiving their reliable customers...

                    Most disguised are those team managements & so called duplicitous customer delight managers who are showing up the extremes of handicapy by tampering with their own recorded commitments & watching the choking of all sorts of trust and beliefs bridged between a customer with their naked eyes...

                    You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for failing to deliver even after the passage of 2 & half months altogether, indicating a clear irresponsibllity, you should be kicked out from your designated posts cuz of failing to execute your job responsibilities, better should be some responsibile and customer oriented management be deployed who should have capability and potential to maintain the brand stature and reputation under any given circumstances which is severely disfigured for now due your reckless attitude...

                    It you are thinking i am going to keep quiet, you are absolutely wrong...

                    Enough of your misleadings and fake commitments now...

                    You disguised managers are going to pay for misleading and beguiling me..
                    You cheating masterminds are going to pay for befooling me..
                    You are definitely going to compensate for the lost i bore in boucing my 3 consumer durable emi's just because of your fake commitments...

                    You are going to be answerable before the consumer forum where your duplicitcity will be flashed out and a stern action executed alongside a hefty compensation againt the fraudulent & dubois act... All relevant confirmatory documents would be shared with the forum to initiate legal proceedings.

                      Fraudulent kingpins are those team managements & so called duplicitous customer delight managers who are showing up the extremes of professional handicapy besides reluctancy in delivering their own commitments & watching lethargically the whole insensitive situation of extreme trust deficit & choking of all sorts of reliability and beliefs established since ages altogether...

                      You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for failing to deliver even after the passage of 2 & half months altogether, indicating a clear irresponsibllity, what have you guys been doing all through the course???

                        Dear sir/madam,

                        This is regarding the poor service provided by makemytrip and not addressing my grievances. Recently my hong kong colleague came on an official visit to gurugram in india and she wanted to visit tajmahal and other historical places in agra on weekend falling on 13th and 14th oct. I booked a return cab (From gurugram to agra on 13th oct and return to delhi on 14th oct) and 5 star hotel in agra through makemytrip.
                        The pick up time for 13 oct cab booking (From gurugram to agra hotel) was 9am and as per makemytrip policy we were supposed to get all the cab and driver details 2 hrs before the pick up time but i did not receive anything before 8.36am and before that was trying to reach to customer care officer since 7.30am but could not connect and was very clue less and in dilemma whether we are going to make it or not. Finally i connected to driver and customer care officer by 9am and to my surprise they kept assuring me that cab will be at my place in next 15 mins and it continued for next one and half hour and ten i got message that another cab has been booked fro me which came by 11am. It looks to me that they did not arrange any cab before 8.30am otherwise i would have got the details by 7am. Further why did not they arrange the nearest cab. They did not answer these questions and kept blaming traffic jam.
                        Due to this 2 hr delay we could not visit tajmahal and other places on 13th oct as ticket window was closed at 5.15pm by the time we reached there.

                        Our entire hotel booking went in vain and i requested makemytrip to refund the expenses (13, 300) incurred on hotel bookings but they are ready to refund only 525. Forget about the mental trauma, waste of time and embarrassment before hk colleague. What kind of image she would be carrying about india after this incident given her 1st visit to our country.

                        Next day, same story happened with our return cab booking. This time i got the details by 10am (Pick up time 12pm) but driver was not reachable by 11.30pm and then i called customer care and they asked me to arrange at my own if it is urgent and then i booked another can through uber and had to incur extra 1100 inr due to last minute booking. I requested makemytrip to compensate this but they are not listening.

                        Because of their careless attitude and poor services, i have lost ~15000 inr and had to go through mental trauma and embarrassment and my entire week end was spoiled. I explained the same to at least 5 people from makemytrip at different point of times but they did not hear me and not ready to compensate me.
                        I would have understood if all this delay was due to situations beyond their control but in this case, it was totally their arrogance and not caring about customer kind of attitude which make me helpless and frustrated.

                        Appreciate if you can bring in to their senior management's attention and help addressing my grievances. Below are the trip details.

                          Mmt promised me on 13000 cashback on email, however the cashback received was only 8000. Customer care hotline doesn’t help as they just keep diverting my calls. Some of them acknowledge that i am eligible for 13000 basis the email evidence i have, while some of them say policy doesn’t say 8000. This policy was never shared with me till i paid my complete booking amount. The only thing shared with me was an email stating my eligibility as 13000. Please help.

                              Basically, i booked a cab through this company for 16/10/18 for outstation 9. Am til 11pm. The driver was persistent that during later afternoonthat it is for 12 hours only and wanted me to go back by 9pm. Driver left me at around 7.30 pm as her wanted to go. So i had to book uber to get back home. Make my trip are refusing to refund me my uber fare of approx rs 600-700 and are blaming me for sending driver away!!

                              You simpley cant trust these people if you have family or single women do not travel with this company on there car rentals.

                                I have been trying to reach MakeMyTrip (MMT) for the last 18 days to get my refund for a flight booking ID [protected] cancelled on 5 October 2018. The ticket was booked on MMT but cancelled (attached pic of email) through Indigo and they have given a full refund to MMT.
                                Everytime I have called or gone to their website, the link does not open or they keep sending me a cancellation link and not a refund link. showing that they have not updated at their end. They have already kept my money for more than 2 weeks without even responding online or on phone. On their website, they show the booking as still open. (attached pic)
                                I need a refund asap.

                                  I had booked a holiday package through MakeMyTrip for me and my wife, our return flight(air pegasus) from Bangalore to Kochi on 13/08/2016 was cancelled since air pegasus was ceased from operations. There was no prior information regarding the cancelled flight from the travel agent nor from the airline authorities. I contacted MakeMyTrip and they didn't provide any alternative arrangement and said the ticket amount will be refunded within 30 days. we had no other option but to stay in Bangalore take a bus from Bangalore to Kochi the next day.
                                  I had requested many times for the refund(complain ID IN1606B3S1069586) but MakeMyTrip informed me that the amount is not refunded from the airlines, So they cannot process the refund for me.
                                  Recently I came across an article in quora which was about a similar case, for him he went to the air pegasus office in Bangalore, They showed him the bookings on the Central Reservation System, which he made through MakeMyTrip found that Air Pegasus had fully refunded his ticket cost the very same day, their flight was cancelled

                                  and he informed me that as per DGCA rules the travel agent is responsible for the refund and not the airlines. It is the responsibility of the travel agent to refund the customer and recover the amount from the airlines.

                                  I Do understand that the day to day working of the airline is not under your control, but I had taken a holiday package from MakeMyTrip thinking that it's you have a purpose, to provide me with the service that I paid for. I was stranded in Bangalore airport and there was no help provided by MakeMyTrip. If I could manage all the flight hotel travel booking of my own, then why did I chose MakeMyTrip in the first place?? I Hope you understand.
                                  And all these are not my concern now, The only concern is the refund which is pending from your side for a very long time now.

                                    Hello - last month i was supposed to go to hong kong, hence i booked tickets through make my trip from maa to sin (Ai express) and then form sin to maa (Scoot) (Booking id nn[protected] and then i booked online in singapore airlines from sin to hong kong to sin via sia.

                                    However due to typhoon my flight to sin to hkg sector was cancelled, and i got full refund form sia, however when i cancelled both air india and scoot airlines, air india mailed back with rs 2938 as refund and scoot refused to give any refund.

                                    However mmt gave me back only rs330 as credit in my credit card and rs1232 they added in my wallet which also got expired and they gave me unacceptable reasons.

                                    Already i had a great loss due to this booking approx rs50000 hotel payments etc. I not even got rs 2980 atleast as refund instead i got rs330 only from mmt which is not acceptable and very worrying and also bringing down your company reputation.

                                    Request you to please look into this issue and resolve at the earliest.

                                      Hi,
                                      I travelled from west africa (Burkina faso) to india for attending a training program for which i had paid 3, 000 usd as fees for the course. Program was in mumbai from 17th sep to 19th sep.
                                      I was scheduled to travel from mumbai to bangalore on 16th sep and return on 19th sep vide make my trip booking id nf[protected] on 1st aug 2018 and paid rs 8, 126
                                      However due to some visa issues of the faculty the training program was rescheduled from 24th sep to 26th sep 2018
                                      I wanted to reschedule this flight due to my change of plan and selected date change. To 23rd sep and 26th sep. But:
                                      1. The transaction was unsuccessful in first attempt but an amount of 16, 732 was debited from my account
                                      2. The second transaction went through and 16, 732 was again deducted from my account.
                                      After few communications with mmti, they refunded 16, 732 on 14th sep (Excess deduction at point no 1 above) vide 4 transactions as below:
                                      • ref no [protected] :5, 958
                                      • ref no [protected] : 2, 168
                                      • ref no [protected] :2, 168
                                      • ref no [protected] : 6, 438
                                      • total : 16, 732/
                                      Later on 22nd sep when i tried to do web check in for my flight on 23rd sep (Mum-blr) i came to know that my ticket has been cancelled instead of rescheduling. I booked a new ticket on jet airways web site (Pnr no idzjpq)
                                      After neumerous communicaitons with mmt they refunded the amount 16, 732/ which they deducted for rescheduling on 25 sep 2018.
                                      However had mmt rescheduled my ticket i would have been using the ticket amount, whereas when they did not reschedule my in spite of my double payment, i would like my original booking of rs 8, 126/- to be refunded to me.
                                      Had i not tried to do web checking and went to airport for travel on 23rd sep, i would have missed my training program for which i spent 4, 000 usd for flight and 3, 000 usd towards fee for the course.
                                      On principle ground i want this money to be refunded to me as mmt did not provide any service to me for this amount hence i should be paid this refund.
