We had booked a europe trip with our hard earned money via makemytrip and our dream trip turned into nightmare because of makemytrip.. After getting czech republic visa we contacted mmt executive to book our itenary.. They asked us to pay an amount of rs 3lac 10k in advance.. We did the whole payment in advance. Then we asked the mmt executive whether we need to visit prague on czech republic visa and she told no need to visit prague and she prepared our itenary from delhi airport to amsterdam then from zurich to delhi. On the day of departure we were denied boarding by alitalia airlines on the ground that we do not have prague on our itenary. We were thrown out of the airpoet in the middle of the night and our hard earned money got wasted.. Makemytrip ruined our trip.. We want our money back.

    I am writing this to share my horrible experience with makemytrip. This was the first time i was using their services. Back in september, after going through the holiday packages offered on their website, i was interested in booking one for paris and switzerland (Ex delhi dtd 26 jan 2019). I got in touch with their sales expert to discuss the details. My major concerns were if payment could be done by international card and the visa process. I was advised in positive regarding payment and assured expert visa assistance. As i reside outside india, i decided to apply for my own visa and required their assistance only for my partner residing in delhi. After finalizing the deal, i visited the online payment link and international card option was not working. I got in touch with the sales expert and was advised that the system is down. I was told to arrange payment through indian bank account and as early as possible as the slots were getting filled. Painstakingly i arranged the money from my indian account and made the payment.
    Soon i was contacted by their visa expert who advised to arrange the necessary documents for my partner by november to apply to the french embassy. He provided us a checklist of required documents which were more than the ones mentioned in the french consulate website. However considering he is an expert, we took his advice and arranged all of them. He double checked all the documents and my partner submitted it to the consulate.in a couple of days we got a rejection letter. Meantime the visa i applied for myself was approved. Perplexed i asked him the reason (Consulate rejection letter was vague) and the future course of action. He advised to reapply with the same documents and a better cover letter. I was shocked to hear his response and was skeptical that it will work. I did my own research and the only solution i could find was to sponsor my partner and that would increase the probability of acceptance. I was amused at how i have to advise the expert on the future course of action. Then he provided me with a list of documents required for sponsorship. He sent me a draft sponsorship letter and asked me to just fill in the name and other personal details. The draft was filled with grammatical errors and contained inadequate information. I did a bit of research and wrote the letter myself. Sadly it got rejected again. The expert advised to reapply without giving any directions of corrective action. Feeling completely dejected and not wanting to waste more money on application fees, i decided to change the booking to another destination which has visa on arrival. But the sales expert refused stating that they have already paid vendors for my booking and told only option available for me is to cancel the booking (Incurring 20% of the package cost).

    I was really disappointed with the overall treatment. They assured me of false promises, provided me with ill advice regarding visa and were totally dismissive regarding any other solution. I have used various travel agencies in the past but never faced such unprofessionalism, incompetence and indifference.

      Hi, i am kapil sharma a regular customer of mmt, however my recent trip planned with make mytrip has been a horrible experience as my flight from lucknow to chandigarh was perponed and i didn't get any information due to which i missed the flight and that again caused to delay in reaching chandigarh and i had to missed my bus booking done at makemytrip from chandigarh to manali..

      I had to catch flight from lucknow to delhi and then i had to hired personal cab (Charged rs. 4500/-) for chandigarh but couldn't catch my bus of hrtc for manali, so again i had to hired same cab to manali which charged rs. 5000/- for manali as i was already having my hotel booking at manali for 2 days (That also booked from make my trip).. During the entire journey i had to paid rs. 9500/- extra along with huge stress and trouble in managing things to reach my destination..

      As per jetairways staff, my details was sent in incorrect format due to which change in flight timing could not sent to me and since i had my booking from vendor (I. E. Makemytrip), so they only informed to vendor not the passenger directly.

      I want entire refund of flight ticket from lucknow to chandigarh along with all extra expanses that i had to bear cause of lac of communication and improper customer service at makemytrip ends..

        Myself mr. Pradeep ghodke. I am a regular customer or makemytrip. I have booked the ticket on 14th december flight no. Indigo 6e496. Time14.25.
        Pnr no. Ocewmf.. Ticket was booked on a basis of 100% return of cancellation paying an extra amount. But when i cancelled the ticket.. I got a message of deduction of the charges.
        I need a explanation.

        I was booking hotel on 2/12/18. my booking was not confirmed but money is deducted from my bank. amount is 9401/-. after 5 days still i don't get my refund back. they told me that they didn't get any payment. and my payment is stuck in payment gateway. what to do next?

          I want to delete my makemytrip account as i dont need it anymore. Email id linked to this account is [protected]@gmail.com. I want it to be deleted asap as i am tired of its promotional mails and messages. I don't do any booking from this account but still it sends me lots of promotional mails and messages. So i want to delete all the information contained in it and delete the account.

            The undersigned had booked two rooms in hotel zara grand, delhi (Booking idnh[protected], pnr[protected].
            The undersigned had made a request on 11th morning to [protected]@oyorooms.com, requesting of late check in.
            Accordingly, we arrived at 11.45pm at the hotel, but were denied rooms, on the reason that they do not have any connection or responsibility with oyo, and have repeatedly informed them about their stand.
            I had to search for another hotel with my family, at midnight, and was put to much hardship. I demand total refund of the payment made towards hotel reservation.

            I booked two times train ticket through make mytrip 1 st time one members ticket not confirmed and amount has not been refunded, and another time i am trying not to cancel my booking showing charting done and also trying file TDR, every time showing try again,

              Deat sir,
              I had booke my ticket to newzeland through make my trip india, by sungaporeairlines. I got a valid visa for new zeland. When i reached delghi from gujarat the airline did not allo me yo board the scheduled flight. According ti them atbrisbane though it eas one hour wait but a transit visa was required. When i contacted make my teop they casually said we will cancel this yicket you book another ticket which at last moment costed me rs 143000.
              Assuring me yo refund the ticket which they would cancel.

                I, ms y. Venkataramana, had booked a round trip from hyderabad to shirdi for 16th of dec via air india flight on makemytrip.com. The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 7.50am and reach in 2 hrs. We were supposed to return to hyderabad by the air india flight at 16.40 on the same day after having darshan of saibaba at shirdi.. Booking id: nf[protected].

                A message was sent by air india that the flight will depart at 10.30am instead of the original time of 7.50am. Due to this change, it is not possible to reach shirdi, finish darshan and be back in time for the 16.40 flight. Hence we decided to cancel the booking. We called up air india and they said they will refund the whole amount without any cancellation fees. However, when we spoke with makemytrip executives, they said that the airline air india has refused to refund the whole amount. Makemytrip has generated 2 pnrs (Z6p07 and z4200) for a round trip booked through a single booking id - nf[protected], which is not clear why and how it happenned. The airline air india is now stating that due to 2 pnrs, full refund would be initiated only for one sector and there would be cancellation charges for the other sector. As the fault appears to now lie at mmtrip end and not due to any act on our part, we request you to order full refund.

                We again request to take up with the agencies concerned if required and order full refund for both sectors.

                In reference to your concern, as checked the onward flight from Hyderabad to Shirdi was post poned by the airline and same was not convenient for you so, you have opted for the cancellation of complete booking however, airline has denied to provide full refund for the return segment. Please be advised that the tickets are booked and generated from airline’s end only and its under their discretion to approve waiver on cancellation charges. Our team has tried to get waiver from airline but same was denied by them. Accordingly, we have processed refund by charging penalties for return segment.

                Such types of complaints are indeffinite for all as
                the submitter is unable to present the exact reservation:-
                - date
                - passenger name
                - exact flight
                - report of change of booking
                - claim of passenger.

                You can contact one of the following service providers:
                1. The agent
                2. The air carrier
                where you had tried to submit the claim on the compensation 1-2 times.

                2. If the above is helpless follwiing your 1-2 attempts, not more, or you do not know what you are entitled for, you can hire a professional to request the compensation via the court.

                This type of complaints is a very common private case and can cost from rs ~6000 in India.
                The duty of the court is to award all losses and the exact expences based on law and documents.

                  Please note make my trip is charging the gst but not paying to the government. They are cheating the customers by charging the amount. It has happened with many customers in the past. We really don't know are there any laws to handle the same.
                  We are also approaching gst help-desk to expose the tax invasion.

                  We are calling the customer care for last 7 days for bifurcation of invoice. The invoice which they have provided the gst amount is showing 0, whereas during booking rs 5903 was charged as the gst amount.

                  Please let me know if any suggestions what needs to be done

                    I was making a hotel reservation in dubai, uae, for my father dr anil khot and my mother rajshri khot

                    While making the reservation

                    At the last moment there was a message on the laptop something like - oops, there's a server failure

                    So i tried again and made a new booking
                    Booking id[protected]
                    Pnr [protected]

                    At the hotel ramada chelsea ~at barsha my father was told that there were 2 bookings, instead of one, for the same day.
                    So only the first booking was used, and the 2nd booking was not used.

                    Also the bank account was debited for both the bookings, where as we needed only one.

                    Now, i would like to request you to
                    1) kindly refund the 2nd booking
                    Or
                    2) change the date of the 2nd booking to 11th of december 2018, so that my father can use it for that day, and we do not lose money for no mistake of ours.

                    Kindly try to resolve the matter on URGENT basis, Kindly change the date of the reservation to 11th December 2018 (today), and inform the hotel in Dubai as well, as my parents are presently staying there, and need to extend the stay for one more day.

                      I had a booking in makemytrip app for a 5 day vacation plan to jaipur for my family. As i was making the payment, the app said the component prices have gone up as the airfare and hotel amounts have increased. The cost of my package went up from ~130k to 144k. I went ahead with the booking. After i made the booking when i went ahead to check the package amout again, i see that the total fare has not been made to 121k which later dropped to 119k. When i asked makemytrip for an explanation they said this is how dynamic pricing works and they cannot help me. I feel being cheated by the alert that the fares have gone up and having to pay extra, later to realize that its not the case. Please help me

                        I booked a hotel in gurgaon for which the amount got deducted twice from my acc but when i contacted the hotel they said that the booking was not confirmed and they didn’t get any mails
                        So i booked another hotel for the stay
                        The amount that was deducted twice was only refunded once
                        Since then i have been trying to contact mmt and i have provided every bank detail they asked for and it’s been over a month and there is no call back from their side and i get the same reply every time i contact them. I asked them to connect me to their seniors and they didn’t do so.
                        It’s a big company and such things are not expected and we being customers should atleast get a closure but it seems like fraud
                        And after reading so many complains online regarding refunds it looks like there is something seriously wrong
                        I really want to solution to this problem.

                          I booked a ticket on 29th Nov 2018 from Mangalore to Guwahati. Booking Ref ; Booking ID NF[protected] . The booking showed fail with message session expired while I was trying to put the Bank's OTP. In booking screen, booking shown failed. I booked the same Ticket again from Airlines website. But the amount of Rs. 11133.00 not refunded

                            I wanted to reschedule the travel timing for my trip to Kolkata, on Dec 20, 2018. I tried the app, it is consistently failing, but deducting the amount from the account. Tried calling customer support multiple time, waited on call hold over 40 mins, no luck.

                            Very unhappy with the overall process.

                              Dear makemytrip team,

                              Request your help on the below

                              Situation:

                              I booked a ticket on dec 3rd 1.13pm est for abu dhabi to mumbai (Booking number: nn[protected] – 25th jan. As per the document invoice, the time is dec 03 23: 41:40 ist 2018.

                              I realised my mistake 10 mins later and decided to take immideate actions:

                              A vo says, the number no longer exists and provides a safety number. Also mentions, please call between 1.30 pm to 12 midnight indian standard time.

                              I was then informed by a friend to try myra on the app. I downloaded it and wrote my query. This was at 23:19:09 est 3rd dec, 23:30: 39 est 3rd dec. I only received a response 4th dec at 03:51:27 est

                              I immediately wrote back to the team at 07:33: 50 est to help me in this case.

                              Mohak maheshwari responded to my query and assisted me. He took the time out to understand the situation. According to the information on the document held by makemytrip, it mentions that i booked my ticket on dec 03 00:05:80 ist, 2018, which seems incorrect, as i booked it close to 23hrs later that day. As per the invoice (Attached), i booked it on dec 03 23: 41:40 ist 2018.in the document, it should have ideally been dec 04 00:05:80 ist, 2018

                              I then spoke to amit yadav, the supervisor on floor, who did not seems to understand the situation and kept apologizing without giving me an immediate solution. We spoke for more than 52 mins and he mentioned voiding was not an option as i booked my tickets more than 48 hrs ago, which is not the case. I only booked it 22hrs ago and it falls under void because it is the same date.

                              I also tried 6 different ways of contacting the customer service throughout the day but there was no one at the receivers end to help me in this case.

                                Make my trip is cheating customers
                                I booked my return ticket from mumbai to kolkata for the dates 28.12.2018 (E-ticket no. 589-[protected]) and 30.12.2018 (E-ticket 589-[protected]) through make my trip. However by mistake instead of booking return on 30.12.2018, the return date was chosen 30.01.2019.

                                Now when i try to change the dates, first of all the system is not allowing change dates of one way, secondly the date changes to be done for the entire return trip and the cancellation fees are rs 16300/- which is 86% of the original ticket cost. There is no human interface to resolve this situation. I am being punished for human error which is outrageous and completely unfair.

                                On your website you are claiming zero cancellation fees and 100% refund on cancellation. Tried to cancel, again you are charging more than 80% of the ticket cost as cancellation fees.
                                You have claimed you have tried to reach me, a complete lie.

                                  There is a bug in the app which i reported months earlier to mmt but no action taken.

                                  Today (4/12/2018) i booked flight for jan 06 2019, indigo from singapore to chennai but the booking was done for jan 05 2019. I realized it is the same bug that i reported earlier after making my payment. I raised a complaint within the app and also called live hotline to explain and they asked to email the screenshot. I emailed but no response email yet. I am attaching proof for the bug. You can see it shows two different dates which leads to confusion for the customers also. Even after providing very obvious proof of their bug, no positive response. I cannot believe how they do not care enough to fix a bug on a application where people spend huge amount of money.
                                  I either want a refund or a change the dates to the actual one i booked.

                                    I am user of mmt on frequent basis... But this time mmt disappointed me... I book hotel in ujjain for 6000, but the hotel was too bad after i visited there.. I didnt checked inn... And after that i ask mmt for refund.. So they said its not possible... From now i will not use mmt... And will see to other sites like go ibibo and booking.com

                                      Spice jet changed preponed my flight on dec 4, 2018 5.50 am. I was not properly informed on the same. When we reached the boarding point 45m mins before departure, they said, boarding closed. I requested to accomodate in their flight / other options, but asked to book another flight of 2 times the cost.

                                      This is really bad on the airline part and i booked thru makemytrip.com. They also dint inform.

                                      Filing a complaint for the refund and compensation for the hassle created to me and my family.

                                        I've booked a flight ticket through make my trip. Money got deducted but never got confirmation. I've tried contacting them but didn't get a proper response. I've mailed them with the bank account statement. The email i got return was the auto-response email. They chose to ignore my complaint. Their customer care center is one of the worst i've ever experienced.
