Dear Sir,

I am Rajeev from Bangalore. I purchase "Pure It water filter" in April 09. After that faced a lot of problems mentioned below but no action taken by the company.

1) According to Company its removing the hardness of water. Its not doing so.

2) The inside container become very rough, while cleaning its scraches the hands as well. I already made 10-15 calls for replacement for the same.

3) According to company it purify the water but never seen the pure water coming from it. I found a different kind of dust there in system moving in water.

4) Battery replacement.

For abover issues i called their service help line number [protected] and speak to company area manager as well. With continousely following up with them for above issues i used to listen only one statement - "Sorry sir, It will take another 3 days.". Except that they have nothing to say.

I have a simple question to you.

Why these kind of products are there in market for which we paid to get the thing as they specified but not getting?

I believe you will take a necessary action against this request, as its not the matter of only my family who is using this product but also so many families who is using the same product. The other complaints you can also see in this section.

Pure It — worst product and service

I have changed two germ kit batteries of PURE IT within 6 months. The second one of 2250 ltr.is empty within two months. Customer care executives behave rudely beside say sorry or any solution.
my self is v k sharma 85 A lal bagh gandhi coloney muzaffarnagar. i have loged a complent on phone at local agency to replace the battery at 9.45AM today. Mr. jilani mob.no.[protected] has not attended the complent till night today. [protected]@gmail.com

    I bought a pureit in october 2008 and they came home to deliver it and also to repair the pureit i had bought earlier(here also they came after almost one month of complaining), this would new one would make it my third piece since we live in a large joint family.

    This particular one when opened and i started using it was damaged the water is leaking) and when i informed their toll free number they are still looking into it!! they informed the nearest authorised dealer which is in godhra.
    Also since i live in Dahod, they said they cannot come and repair it or replace it!! since they do not have an authorised dealer here... i offered to pay the train fare also but till now noone has come, one of the persons also had the audacity to say " nahin aaoonga aap kya kar loge".
    What i am saying when they want to sell it... they claim we will come madam dont worry, then what happens??

    My pureit is lying unused since october 2008!!

    This has happened with me in the past as well, the battery kit for pureit that we use shows us as finished and whenever we call your call center our query has always been unattended until we retry for more than 3 – 5 times.       Hi, I am Sridhar Kumar and my mobile no. is [protected]. I had placed an order for Battery replacement about 4 days back through e-mail but I have not got any reply nor the battery from your side. May kindly request you to please atleast acknowledge the mail and replace the battery as early as possible. I have two kids and don't want to take chances as drinking water is the main cause of health issues.

      Pureit Water Filter — Not sending Any Technician

      Hi Sir,
      From past two weeks I am keep calling to unilever Pureit helpline but nobody taking responsibility and sending technician to my house.Just 3 months back I changed my battery kit and some body came from Domlur branch,Bangalore and changed the battery kit.But now the water is coming behind the batter kit.I am facing lots of problem to drink water.There is one guy Abdul from helpline who assured me from past weeks that I will take this as priority and send one technician to your address.Still he didn't send any body.When ever I call he is telling sorry for apologies,he is not serious in his job and just keeping how many calls he is taking per day and his job is done.There motive not help others.I had bad experienced to call this helpline and was bad for me to buying this filter.I personally recommend people not to buy this product and worst sewrvice provider.

      Pureit Water Filter — after servicing not working properly its overflowing

      bad cutomer service .I already complaint in ur customer service center by phone
      call they promise me service man will reach to u within 48 hours ,i complaint on
      Saturday 6:00 pm .I clarify him that i want that service before 9:30 of the morning
      or after 8:00 of the evening but the guy call me on Thursday around 12:00pm asking
      are in the office .my complain no was C[protected]h .I am not getting this problem
      regularly it happens three times from the day of complain .i[censored]r team is unable to keep there
      promise its no need to keep[ ur thing here so why don't u try to solve the problem or
      giv my money back .

        I wanted to get fitted new kit for Pureit Water filter, accordingly I have call and placed order with the customer care but the concerned are asking for the product serial no., as I was calling from my office I could provide product serial so they are taking my and they have provided a new kit till date inspite of making request

        I bought a Pure-it water filter. I filtered boring-well water and in the water so filtered I put Fitkiri and after some time I found a lot of mud (black mud like settled at the bottom of the water. I do not why the filtered water (with Pure-it, there should be mud. I have made complaint, but the persons from I bought it is tekking "the water is pure, you can test it in any lab". When I said how I can drink water which contains mud like substance settled below ever after it is filtered and Fitkiri put on it, they have no answer. They promised me to ask the Manager to talk to me but no one talked to me ever after a gap of 5 days. So I want the company to look into the matter. My mobile No. is [protected]

        I am using Hindustan lever Purit from last one year. I bought it in bangalore, this product is good. Initially in bangalore whenever i faced any issue i used to log complaint and the response in banglore in very good with in 2 to 3 days they sort out the problem.

        Few months back I shifted to delhi. Here I logged a complaint to replace the tab of purit.
        The complaint number is S09/DLI[protected] and continusouly I am chaising for this. It has passed one and half month no action has taken. This is the worst customer support I ever come throgh. I spent a lots on money on telephone call. Whenever i call them they just set complaint as highest priority and say by end of the day it will be done. But allready one and half month has gone. I don't how much level of priority they have.

        I conclude that this is worst and painfull service I come accross.

        I don't know it will reach in time or not.

          The following letter was written to Hindustan Uni Lever Company:

          SIR,

          I PURCHASED A PACK OF PEPSODENT COMPLETE GERMI CHECK TOOTHPASTE FROM ONE OF YOUR DEALERS IN SADAR BAZAR, DELHI. THE CARTON (CONSISTING TWO 175 GM OF TUBES) OF TOOTHPASTE UNDER MAHA VALUE PACK (SUGGESTING SAVING OF RS 18/ ON AN MRP OF RS 98/), WHEREAS THE RATES WRITTEN ON THE CRIMP OF THE TWO TUBES IS RS 39/ EACH, WHICH TOTALS TO RS 78/, AND ACCORDING TO THIS THE FINAL RATE FOR THE CONSUMER SHOULD BE RS 60/ ONLY. 1. AS PER THE WEGHTS AND MEASUREMENT RULES THE CARTON AND THE ACTUAL PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE DIFFERENT.

            We have logged complaint with Hindustan Unilver in the month of September to get the battery replacement for Pureit water purifier product. We have been calling their tollfree number, customer care number but in vain. That time the price for the Battery Kit was for Rs. 315, and now its 365. We get the ans like it will be attained in three working days. We have got calls from their local service support for selling new PureIT product, but not responding for our actull requirment.
            We find that if we use this product after battery life, it shows danger effect on our health. So, take care & do not use if battery life shows RED

              I have purchased the Pureit water purifier of hindustan unilever, 8 months back with the customer IDand all, The product stops working as its battery discharges so one has to register for its replacement to the helpline nos.on 2/12/08, its technician came to replace the battery kit, imagine what we found in the dual chamber after 8 months o[censored]sing it-a green colour nose mask & a white hair cap in it and i have been drinking this safe water form its purchase date.I was shocked and breathless and have to for the medical help.it seems a irresponsible company that playing with the customers health.can anyone suggest what to about it?
              Concept of th customer means """"" KAST KARO AUR MARO""""""" Unilever, is a company usisng india name as Hindustan Unilever, infact it is a company came from Holland in 1963 and ititial capital investment was hardly 1.5 crores, now they are looting indian public with lakhs of corores. and providing unhealthy water purifier or so on...

                this is koushik sinha, father of aesha sinha(3yrs), purchased a pureit at asansol(w.b)on 06/08/2007.then i got transfer to jamshedpur, now we need to change the battery of our pureit, call to [protected], log in our request with new address.today after thirteen days, in between i had call them more than five times, every time they beg for excuse and promise to replace with in 48 hours, but till today(01/12/08)battery is not replaced.our customer i.d:[protected]/dated 6/8/07.tax invoice no:ISO7/ASL0423-216.
                now what to do with your system?can i hope for any further step towards replacement of battery or forget about pureit?

                  I purchased Hidustan Uniliver Pureit about 9 months back. The Battery life had been assured for 1500 litres. But the life has gone out after 1000 litres. I contacted their help line in Chennai several times for replacement saying that I am ready to pay the price of battery. Everytime they said that their representative would come next day for replacement of battery. More than 15 days passed. But nobody had come for replacement. This kind of careless attitude of the employees will work only against the company. I have told my friends and relatives not to purchase Hindustan Unilever Pureit. This will have mutidimetional effects on this and other products of the company. The company must realise the situation and take remedial steps immediately.
                  Yes, I have purchased Pureit in 2007 from Bangalore. Shifted to Tamil Nadu in 2008. I requested Customer Care / Help Line in November 2008 for the replacement of Battery. Customer care Number is not working most of the time. Instead of repeated request, the Battery has not yet been replaced. Now, I have proposed to approach Consumer Court.

                      2 weeks back i placed an order for battery kit & Top filter replacement but in vain everytime we phone to call center we must keep repeating the same complaint to diff persons who promptly take all details but the pity is they dont have a direct contact with sevice persons hence they r unble to give details abt when the issue will be attended so having a cal center is useless first of all
                      KIDS @ home have to take same water & suffer because o[censored]r neglegence this is very pathetic

                        many of my friends adviced me to not to purchase it...but i baught.within in 3 months its battery indicater become red.I have already written my complaint before 1 month through this website and two executive came from the company and checked it and they also agree that there is some mistake in the product and i give in written and they said that they will replace the battery with in a week but the truth is that no one came from the company..

                        Hindustan unilever - Pure It — Worst Performance & Worst Service

                        The Battery kit was replaced after a WEEK days, after booking. Then started our problems. the water contains more chlorine and smelt bad and taste is also bitter. I again gave complaint on[protected] and on 14-7-08, an executive/assistant has came and did some thing. Even then our problem has not been solved. For the same problem, i again gave complaint on 16-7-08. And til today, i.e. on 22-7-08, my problem was not solved, so far. For the last twenty days we are purchasing mineral water. Hence here onwards, I won't recommend this product to any friend/relative. Further, I will advise them against in regard to worst performance and inefficient & bad service.

Then I purchased new battery kit in May 6, 2010. but after 10-11 day this new battery start showng red indicator on it. this mean change new battery.                         I have placed the GKB on 13th july'10 for 1500L. I didnt find any performance diffrence between 1500 and 2500L.Your people are forcing to buy 2500Lit GKB. Every time am asking for the update their giving new order no with current date, not retaining the original order number what i have ordered.                         I have bought pureit on 31/05/2011 from the dealer but it was defected piece and did not get the scrach card. After so many calls the dealer he replaced the defected piece with the other one on 03/06/2011 but other peice is also not looking new like previous one. I have made so many call to customer care but no response i got from there side. The scrach card is still pending and but pure it cusomer care executive has been making false promosies for last two weeks.

                        I suggest to all do not buy this pure it. It is total loss of your money

                          Ive purchased pure it water filter 4 months ago, now its time to change the chlorine pack. i called Mr Gopal at [protected] whoo installed filter, he gave me another no and said he will attend your call, the no he gave was switched OFF, then i call helpline where i was to to wait. after several times no contact can be made. I once again called Mr. Gopal and he again insisted to call the number he is giving which i refused. I just want to ask HUL person if they cant give timely service then why do they sell all this junk to people.
                          I will be using this filter bin as dustbin in the future and recommend others not to buy Pureit.

                            REGRET VERY MUCH TO MENTION THAT ALL YOUR CUSTOMER CARE Department staff do not take anything seriously and always give false promises. If stocks are not available, they should intimate the customer that stocks are not available and will be delivered on a particular date. But always, the standard reply we hear from your staff is that - it would be delivered today. Don't know when the TODAY will come. I think I need not mention the name of the staff here.
                            Only GOD only knows when Customer Service in Hindustan Unilver will improve !!!

                              With respect to the above subject, I requested to change the batter kit on 30.10.2008 after that I have spoke to call center more than 10 times, till date no one bother to come and change the same.

                              When I called, each time they promised to send same day or next day. Till now nothing is taken place.

                              I feel buying this product is good but service of HLL to customers is very bad in this product.

                              I suggest people to think twice before buying this product. My request with company is when you cant serve to customers please stop selling this product instead off trubling the customers.

                              HLL pure-it water filter — No after sales service (Battery change)

                              We bought this HLL Pure-it water filter on Jan 08, the battery exiry period is of max 3 months, No it is July 08 and we every week try to coordinated with these HLL customer care but no responce, we caught hold of these salesman, they took our no. and confirmed they will come back with positive answer but till now no results, These people only show glossy adds but donot have proper or no aftersales service, therefore any one trying to buy ask for couple of extra battery's so that it willbe profitable. Otherwise its useless, I will wait for a month and complaint to Consumer forum we all should do.

                              The kind of response we get from the HLL is pathetic, they treat all the buyers of the product are fools and should follow them indefinitely to get the battery replacement or for anything. This kind of response is possible only in India where the consumers are treated like . The HLL customer care centre whenever you call for not recieveing the baterry replacement they will make a new no. and the way these guys behave cannot be toleracted.
                              Is there any serious body or forum exist to ban this kind of product. This need to be addressed seriously and people should join hands to drive this product out of market if possible this kind of organization should be shut for taking consumers for ride.

                              Hindustan Pure it Water Filter — Battery replacement not done

                              I had purchased a Pure It water filter and it is time to replace the battery. I had called the call center atleast 4-5 times in the last 3 weeks and there is no response from the company. This is poor service to customer. Every time I call their customer service number, they would give a standard reply that it would be delivered within 4 working days.

                              Here in and around Kalpakkam, Chengalpattu, almost more than 1000 people purchased Purit water filter. No one is selling the Battery. On contacting the company, they gives the address of of Tambaram(Kgk Associates) dealer. They in turn gives the address of one Kalpakkam dealer (Chithra Driving school), who will never sell the battery at all for the last one year. They says they are not getting the battery from company.

                              I purchased an Pureit Water filter from HLL and have been using it for some time. I have ordered for a Battery replacement kit on 10th August 2009 and am yet to receive it. The company promised to respond and replace battery in 3 working days when i bought it and it seemed ideal. But now despite innumerable calls and escalation to manager at their call center there is no action. I have spoken to Mr. Rajesh, Ms. Veronica and Mr. Mathew their manager and many more till now at their call center and all that i hear is that an agent will definitely call the next day. I have been spending Rs. 100 everyday to buy water and now it has come to a stage that i have to decide on other options i guess. I wish the company takes note of their lousy after sales service and mend it. HLL is currently offering the 1 crore challenge to customers to name options VS its product. What with the after sales service they are offering, soon their wish will come true, customers have already started thinking of options and, i am sure i'll find one.

After sales service is very poor. Hindustan Unilever is a faceless organization because it hides itself behind the BPO operations. People are warned to think several times before they choose to buy this contraption. Extremely poor after sales service.

                              Hindustan Unilever Ltd./Pureit — False Promises done at the time of selling by the company

                              Dear Sir,

                              I purchased Pureit (Blue unit) on 31 Jan 2009 vide. Bill No. IS09/DLI[protected]. My Customer ID: [protected]. The agent's name who came to install it: Parveen (ID: 30898).

                              At the time of purchasing the unit I made it very clear so many times with the agent and one time called the company's office at Daryaganj to cross-check with the higher authorities that for how long I will be able to run on the supplied battery and when I should go for another battery replacement. This agent and the higher authorities confirmed me a hundred of times that it will take atleast 1 year and in my case as I am using the purified water from Aquaguard first and then into this unit so this battery pack will go on for atleast moer than 1.6 years.

                              Now the battery pack shows fully RED and the water is not dispensing at all. When I contacted the Customer Care on 5 Oct 2009 (Morning time) and the agent, the customer care representative talked so rude to me and the agent disconnected the call after hearing this issue.

                              PLEASE HELP ON THIS ISSUE AS I CAN SEE THAT THIS COMPANY IS FOOLING MANY PEOPLE ON THIS GROUND OF BATTERY PACK.

                              We have purchased pure it on 27.07.09 from Prabhat Appliances( Kalyan West) after three months the water filter is not working and the battery showing red in only three months. I have called to pure it helpline on friday i.e. 23.10.09

                              Till date nobody has came to check they assure us on every call that they will send somebody in three days but I am really sorry to say you that nobody has come to see the complaint. the service is very poor and the instrument is also not working properly. for fill the pot we have to wait for long time.

                              The battery life is very very low, only after 1500 Ltrs required to change the battery. What a excellent idea HLL has developed to pick the pocket as per marketing research. A family having husband & wife with 2 Kid can't use the battery more than 4-5 month.

                              In india there are 115 Crores population, just calculate it, if only 10% families will bought the product, how much liters water they will consume per day and How much batteries required per day for them. Every Human required minimum 2 Ltrs water per day.

                              This is the funtastic idea low cost product having maintenance cost is very much high, This is my opinion. All are requested to think twice before buy the same.

                              I have called to pureit for the battery replacement a week back but there is no response from them till date...
                              I have called to pureitservice center for the battery replacement last 4days but there is no response from them till date...Always they picked up the phone and says our customer provider will be callto you.But sorry to say no one call me.

                              I have placed order for Battery kit of Hindustan Lever water filter
                              (ref: S10/BLR[protected] Dated 28.03.2010) and might have
                              called the service representative more than a dozen times and we only get the complaint is escalated and we will get the item in one day.

                              The very purpose of having water filter purchased is to avoid drinking unhealthy water and if such accessories are not made available for a price, it is hightime the Government agencies come forward to stop
                              the manufacturing of the product if they are not in a position to make available the requisite spares/accessories.

                              Regret to say that a complaint was lodged on 24 of june at ur helpline to see that germkit which was replaced in the month of may has leaked and is red now.Since then nearly daily the case is being taken on ur helpline as well as with the seniors at the helpline even Mr Mandeep singh whose mobile no is [protected] have been contacted to solve my problem he didnot listen and rudely cut off my phone and thereafter not picking the phon.Today again i talked at helpline again and Mr kalam again gave no assurance
                              It is really shocking and regretable to say that such a prestigeous brand have no concern for its consumers as more than 10 days has passed except assurance nothinfg happend let me know if it will be replaced today otherwise i will be compelled to seek corrective and assertive actions.

                                I write to you after having faced this situation twice with the service representatives of HUL Pureit water purefier.

                                My customer id with Pureit is [protected]. The Germ kill Battery, an integral part of the Pureit to obtain water safe for drinking, was ordered by me on 10.11.08 in the morning with their Hyderabad Call Centre - [protected]. I was informed that there will be a delivery done within three working days. On 12th morning, I received a call from their representative, Mobile no:[protected], confirming that there will be a person delivering the product to my residence.As nobody turned up for the entire day, I kept trying the mobile number from which I had received the call. Unfortunately, I was not able to get through the number till evening when I was told that the delivery will be done by 18:00 hrs, which incidentally did not happen. When I called up their helpline, a person in the name of Sagar picked up the call and was very rude when I asked him as to why was the delivery not made when I had clearly mentioned the exigency of my requirement and especially when their representative had called and confirmed delivery. I was told that it will be done on 13th as per his promise to follow up. Throughout 13th, there was no delivery. I again called up their helpline and was addressed by a lady called Rekha, who gave their stock apology and promised that there will be a delivery on13th itself before their working hours complete which was 20:00 hrs.

                                As at the time of writing this email to you, the Germ Kill Battery has not yet been delivered and I am spending money purchasing bottled water as I am left with no other option. I wish that you check on the authenticity of my email if you wish to and definitely publish this harrassment faced by me so that other unsuspecting prospective customers weighs their options carefully prior to opting for Pureit product.

                                  The service provided after sale is the worst one. In case of battery change they hardly consider custmer need, as once the battery is finished it stops working completely and you have to wait for 72 hours when Some one will come to change the battery or my not come. How many times you request them they repeatedly say its 72 hours.
                                  One the other side during marketing they will call you hourly and will urge for demo and bla bla bla. One should take market feedback before going for purchase of such products. All the best.

                                  so this is a manufacturing defect .

                                    3.casing on top of the battery.

                                    i was told that all things would be done in 3 working days. today is the 4th working day and even after repeated calls no one is bothered to turn up and do the needful.

                                    I have bought a hindustan leaver product "Pure it" water purifier and i was using it for the past 1and half years, the battery kit has to be changed every 5-6 months once, every time when we order for the kit we wont get it, once i write to the website and after a months time they will get back and they apologize for the same delay in service they said they will correct it immediately, but after that also there are problems.

                                    Recently i have ordered a kit through their authorised help line no. after 1 month still i do not get any kind of response from them, i have made a call 2-3 times but every time they take order for the kit newly.

                                    There is no doubt the product is good, but the service they are offering is very very poor, now I dont want to continue with this pure it, I wanted to return it back, what can i do now?? please help me.
