On 17/03/2010, I purchased 2 window ac - AW182ZAETL, from Kabir Electronics, Mohali, Punjab. I was big fan of Samsung products and because of this reason I purchased these ACs. Prior to this I am owner of one LG ac(11 years old) and Kenstar ac (5 years old). I rarely use my Samsung ac. Now the issue is one of my Samsung ac stopped working on 29/07/2011 night and next day I called up Samsung tech (Jasbir Singh) to check the AC, instead of coming himself, he send 2 trainees, and according to them the condenser of the ac was in sorry state and gas leaked from the joints of the pipes of the condenser and entire condenser needs replacement. Now the tech is telling me that its about 3500.00 to repair the ac.
After that I called up Samsung contact center and requested to send technician with complain number - [protected], Monday crossed, no call, Tuesday crossed, no call from technician, however, there was a sms on my phone that I have refused to pay the repair cost.... amazing, I again call up the customer care and they assured me that tech will call on Wednesday, no call and again I call C/Care, a rude person told me that next day will be the day when the tech will call me.
Now the question is, is that the excellent service of Samsung?
1. It was my mistake to purchase the Samsung ac?
2. How the gas leaked from the joints?
3. Is it the poor quality of the product or its the manufacturing defect?
4. Why this was happened just after the warranty was over?
5. Is Samsung playing game with Indian customers?
09/08/2011 - After much communication on phone with S/Center and on mails, finally, got a call from someone from Samsung, next day 2 techs. arrived my place and checked the AC, and said that need to refill the gas, rest is Okay. I dropped the AC in Phase 8 Ind. area Mohali Punjab, service center, and after 3 days, got a call that AC is working now, however, at that time I was not in city, so asked them to run this AC so that nay issue should be detected.
03/09/2011 - Paid 1185/- INR for refilling the gas and bought back my AC and installed it, worked fine for 3 days, after that same issue.
13/09/2011- Again dropped the AC in service center, checked by technicians and insisted to replace the Condenser, I requested them to give me detailed estimate on letter head or the receiving, they refused to, on insisting them, one of the clerical staff, asked me to take back my AC and refused to given and receiving and service to me. I immediately called the Customer care, the agent advised me to stay there and he said will arrange a call from Supervisor, but after 45 min., there was no call, feeling insulted, I requested the helper of S/center to load back my AC in my car and came back to home.
ANY ONE FROM SAMSUMG SHOULD ADVISE ME WHAT SHOULD BE MY NEXT STEP - I AM PLANNING FOR CONSUMER FORUM IF THERE WILL BE NO GRIEVANCE FROM SAMSUNG. I WILL NOT PAY FOR CONDENSER NOW, BECAUSE ITS BAD QUALITY PRODUCT, SHOULD BE REPLACE BY COMPANY. I AM HANDICAP PERSON AND ITS REALLY DIFFICULT FOR ME TO CARRY THIS HEAVY MACHINE TO TAKE IT TO SERVICE CENTER, EVERY TIME I PAY RS 100 TO UNINSTALL IT AND REINSTALL IT.
my LG ac and Kenstar ac are working fine in same house without any issue for years.
I want this entire episode to be conclude by the company as clearly its an issue because poor service support, poor quality of the product and a manufacturing defect.

I contacted to customer care center they told me to update the firmware software to solve this problem.Even at the same time they did it, but it couldn't help me.
This is really disappointing to me because every time i use to listen the music and marking my device in not working properly.
This is really-really disgusting that customer care persons are making excuses instead of solving the customer issues.
This is not a business what Samsung is making with customer. Definitely everything going to sink with this type of business.
