This is regarding my complain number [protected]. I had activated Rs. 61 offer on 27-August-2012. However, Vodafone did not activate my offer till 8th October 2012. I filed a complain for the same by calling 111 and spoke to Mr. Mahesh.
On 9th October 2012, Sandeep Ghuge called me to speak about the issue. He said Vodafone will refund me total Rs. 70 which includes Rs. 61 of the offer amount and Rs. 9 for the extra charges i would have paid due to offer not being activated. I argued with him that Rs.9 is definitely not a reasonable amount considering my talk-time for the month. I dont know how Mr. Sandeep Ghuge calculated the amount Rs.70 as it seemed too low. On my insistence he calculated the amount again. I was not happy with the explanations given by him for the calculations done, hence i requested him to send me an online copy of his calculations. He said i would have to request for an itemized bill for which i would be charged Rs.49.
I don't understand the fact that if it was Vodafone who committed an error by not activating my offer, why should i be charged extra for requesting a refund that i deserve. Later, i spoke to Sandeep's superior, Mr. Viswajit Panda. Mr. Panda assured me that he will recalculate my refund (which Sandeep was not able to do correctly) and will also send me a copy of such calculation free of cost. However today morning, Sandeep called me and said they have refunded Rs. 100 to my prepaid balance and said for any further queries i will have to contact this email-id. He refused to provide me the details of how they have calculated Rs. 100 refund.
I am extremely shocked to see the lack of knowledge amongst your Vodafone call executives. First, Sandeep said Rs. 70 was the refund. Then he changed it to Rs. 100 and still has no explanation of how he calculated it. Is this a ploy by Vodafone to fool the errant customers by giving them random refunds (without any mathematical calculation) to keep them happy?
I have right to information regarding the extra charges deducted from my prepaid balance due to Vodafone's error and i should not be charged a penny extra for the demanding how the refund amount is calculated.
