SUMMARY:

Vodafone website and IVRS tell Rs. 45 recharge for getting 1 paisa per sec local as well as STD calls. On doing the recharge I am being charged at 1.2 paisa per sec.


DETAILS:

On vodafone website, when you go to the site:
http://www.vodafone.in/online_prepaid_recharge/online_recharge_mobile.aspx
Enter your cell number and see offer for Rs. 45.
It clearly says:
"Local and STD calls at 1 paisa per sec for 90 days"

Alternately you can also call their IVRS at '12445' and listen to the offer. That also conveys the same information.

I checked at both the places and recharged form a retailer for Rs. 45. Now I am being charged at 1.2 paisa per sec. This has been confirmed by the 198 complaint center.

This is clearly an unlawful practice. I would like to see my options here and the remedies thereof. Otherwise I would definately like to go to the consumer court.

Vodafone — Keeping of Long hold on IVR

It's pathetic way to keep the customer on hold on IVR whenever ther is a issues and telephonic executive could not resolve the query. And ther is no greetings while they resume to the call.

NO UPDATES or resolution so far.
Have called the 198 toll free number a million times, no reply. They simply say, we can't provide any written communication nor can we revert your plan to the 1 paisa per sec.

Although they all accept the mistake on phone but decline to give anything in writing or mail.

Vodafone team, please note that I am being unlawfully and unnecessarily being charged extra for the 45 recharge mentioned on your website. This is a total unethical practice and I request you to immediately change my plan to the requested offer. This is highly incompetent of your company to falsify the statements on your website and IVRS.
UPDATE:

Had Mailed the nodal officer, Appellation authority on Friday. Got a call from the NODAL Offcer Mr. Krishna Iyer today on Monday. He once again confirmed the problem and I told him the details. I told that I do not care about the extra money that I have put in making calls at 1.2 paisa per sec instead of 1 paisa per sec, I just want the 45 Rs. given for recharge.

On hearing, he agreed to credit Rs. 45 to my account. DONE within 10 mins of call from Mr. Krishna.

Happy now :) Thanks vodafone for an early resolution of this.

very bad service of customer care of Vodafone, i called 100's of time no option to talk with customer care executive and if they fortunately pick any time phone they are so untrained or unprofessional, always ask to hold the call even for a small query they take long time, very very bad services .
Vodafone also not provide the service as per commitment, i purchase a new no, the plan was 1.2 paisa for 2 seconds all calls Local& STD but they are charging 1.5 paisa for 1 second...i taken Vodafone first time and found this is very bad in case of customer to feel delight...my no is [protected], Delhi circle...very bad...my mistake to decide to chose it.

    We could not reach you on your number. Please note that the STD pack benefits are applicable only for calls to mobile and not to landline. Thus, the charges are valid.

    The Vodafone people are constantly sending their advertisements and creating nuisance. Also I was subscribed forcefully to some service "India- Pakistan " I dont know what it is and they have charged me and reduced my balance.I am not able to get their customer care number.Can I do something.

    I recently bought new connection at ANNANAGAR CUSTOMER CARE and specially requested to activate my isd immediately . one of your customer executive Shanker attented me and he said the isd will activate after your verification (with in two days), my verification was over on wednesday and i had given my ration card number, pan card number & licence copy ,but not yet activated my isd. I went to annanagar customer once again I requested the same but he said this time WE HAVE A TECHNICAL PROBLEM it will be activated another 2 hours Mr.Shanker said. After I spoke to your Customer care at 3 times 111 Vinoth and Rakshita they said one person said it will take 72 hours and we activate your isd send msg ACT ISD to 111 and i send so many times but not yet activated...............,
    I had taken a VODAFONE connection just because of international brand but, now i felt i made a big mistake.
    my name is naidu and i had taken a voda fone on 28-11-07 and that people had insested me to take connection by saying that they will be providing connection with in an hour and they had took every identy proof from me even though i had not got any connection from them

    Vodafone — Mobile Numbers allotment cheating

    My post paid Vodafone No. is [protected]. M/s. Expertese Solutions, Bandra-West Mumbai sold gave me Mobile No. [protected] on month of September 2007. I gave them all the required documents but to my surprise the sim was not delved up to mid of Oct 2007. When I enquired with Vodafone they informed me that don't have such registered vendor/dealer. I went at the address given on their receipt but the shopkeeper said he is unaware of such company or organization. The landline numbers printed on the receipt I called them for more than twenty to twenty times. Again the person said that number belongs to Tata indicom dealer and he doesn’t know about Eepertese Solutions.

    I called Mr. Rajesh in charge of Mumbai region and he sent me the number as mentiioned above. I was worried for the misuse of the documents.
    The mobile number I received i.e. [protected] is recycled one and all incomming calls from outstation as well local was of no use. Some time I called back for my information, but the person was not known to me.
    Again on enquiry Vodafone help line told me that the recycled no can be changed with out any cost at any of their Gallery.
    The lady at vodafone gallery allotted new number which was allotted to some other person same day.

    I deactivated my line in month of Jan 2008. Again I revived call from Vodafone on my Reliance number, she gave me [protected] and informed that that number will be activated o the same Sim card with in six to eight hours. And activated my deactivate number.

    On 5th Feb 2008 I contact vodafone care, she informed that such numbers is not reflected in system and she can't do any thing. My billing schedule is on 4th of every month and Vodafone activated old number on 5th of Feb 2008.
    I think all service providers believe that people are on mercy having to suffer any pay their bills other wise they sent legal notice.

    I take vodafone talk more plan (Rs.199) in the time of taking the vodafone talk more plan the man in the vodafone store said that all the local calls are at .50pisa (land line and mobile phone) STD at Re.1 and he also said that perform calls at 199 without any additional charges the call charge is above to the 199 add the additional charge to it. But in the time of bill the the bill amount is my call charges + 199 i told the complints to custmercare executive he dosnt help me abut it and i desided to cutt the phone conection.

    § May 21, 2008: Complaint made at Vodafone store (Thane 2, Vodafone Store, Manpanda, Thane- 400 610)
    § May 22, 2008: 2nd complaint lodged at Vodafone Store- Documents signed and resubmitted under the assurance of activation by nightfall.
    § May 23, 2008: Sent a and also called up mail to the Nodal Officer (Mr. Rajesh Shetty) Received an assurance that the Sim will be activated by late evening.
    § May 24, 2008: Mail sent to Mr. Rajesh Shetty and Miss. Laxmi Bhan about my complaint. Numbers activated. However, the number belonging to Asmita Pradhan transferred to the name of Mohit Kulkarni without request or consent. Myself Mohit Kulkarni refuse to sign the verification form as the service rendered was incomplete and not to my satisfaction.
    § June 5, 2008: Vodafone bars outgoing calls for the number belonging to Ms. Asmita Pradhan (now in the name of Mr. Mohit Kulkarni) saying that the customer does not take responsibility for the bill, however resumes service after a repeat complaint in the Vodafone store and pointing out the error at their end to rectify the owner (Miss. Asmita Pradhan) and the address of the telephone. A fresh complaint asking to change the ownership and address is issued.
    § June 9, 2008: Vodafone disconnects the number belonging to Ms. Asmita Pradhan (now in the name of Mr. Mohit Kulkarni) under the same pretext as before. Again a visit to the Vodafone store helps connect the number after the mistake on part of Vodafone is shown. Again a new complaint asking to change the ownership and address is issued.
    § June 18, 2008: despite several more visits and calls to the Vodafone store as well as the corporate office there is no change in the complaint status.

    This is to inform you once again, I received a call from phone no.[protected]Caller’s name Geeta) on my Vodafone number [protected] informing that they were calling from Vodafone Customer Service and mentioned that they had randomly picked up my Mobile no. and would like to offer a special plan if I wished to take it as it was open only for 48 hrs. The plan explained to me was, pay Rs 999 / - features included:-
    · No change of number required.
    · No rental forever.
    · Vodafone to Vodafone 10 paisa
    · Vodafone to other phones Rs 1
    · Vodafone to land line Rs. 1.10
    · SMS, STD & Local Rs. 1
    · International calls Rs 6/-

    I told her that I need to discuss this with a friend and asked her to call later. At around 1545 hrs on the same day I received a call from No.[protected] asking if I was interested in the earlier mentioned plan, if so they would send a representative from the company to collect the requisite documents ( Latest Vodafone Bill copy, PAN card copy and Cheque of Rs .999/-).
    Convinced with the lucrative offer, on 19/07/08 I issued a cheque (no. 175053, HSBC, Dated-19/07/08) in the name of your prestigious company “Vodafone Essar Ltd”. The amount of Rs. 999/- was debited to my account on the 24/07/08.
    On the 29/07/08 I went to your Vodafone Borivali Branch and spoke to your Executive Viney Rane about the change of the plan with the above mentioned features and narrated the entire story to him. On checking the system Mr. Viney informed that neither there was any request for the change of plan nor did they receive any cheque payment. I immediately submitted a hand written complaint to him.
    So far there is no response/action/revert from your end. I called your Vodafone Customer Service Center on 66645000 ext. 5032 and spoke to one Mr. Maqbool who bluntly and rudely said that he would not help me without seeing the receipt, which of course was not asked by my unsuspected wife when giving the cheque and the documents.
    I feel that I have been cheated. The concern here is not just the money but my bigger worry is that you may have issued a new SIM card against my documents to a person who is using my identity.

    I checked last month that i was being charged Rs. 1.99 per call for local call from my Pre-Paid connection, whereas all mobiles service providers are charging just Rs.1 per min. Even I have seen advertisement of vodafone also saying Rs. 1 per call for local call .
    I went to Vodafone store in Lajpat Nagar & complained about getting cheated as i was being charged Rs. 1.99 per min.
    Request No. [protected] dt. 28/6/08. Request No. [protected] dt. 9/7/08. Request No. [protected] dt. 12/7/08. On 12/7/08 spoken to Ms. Neha who could not understand problem & got my Rs 31 deducted through SMS. Again went on 19/7/08, Request No. [protected], she said that till mon your Rs. 31 will be reverted & Rs 1 per min will be charged as i have spoken to Marketing person. I went again on 22/7/08 Req. No. [protected]. I would request you to kindly solve my 2 problems ASAP. otherwise i would like to surrender my connection. Nobody understands the problem in lajpat Nagar store, i think you have staff who does not have proper qualification & knowledge they are just waisting time as i have been to store so many times & all the time customers were complaining & fighting in store.

    I had recharged my vodafone number with Rs 150/- top up, one month back on 04/09/2008, after one month on 05/10/2008 suddenly Rs 62/- was deducted from my account, when i called vodafone care they said it was deducted because the validity of the talktime was over, but i was not told earlier that the talktime has to be used within one month, i think vodafone is cheating the customers by their misleading offers & concealing the facts.
    This company Is number 1 frad company They don't have Customer Responce and making charge for customer care while in roaming, and They reduceing call charge for 57 Seconds RS. 300(for STD) .

    My name is Mubin Mohamed...I am a vodafone post-paid user...My number is [protected]...On 15-12-08, i got an sms titled "Urgent"...i opened the sms n read it...It sed tht i have been chosen for a $5000 prize guarenteed n to claim that prize i had to call this number"[protected]"...I was curious n i did wht it said...When i called up tht number, a recorded voice message greeted me(Just like ur customer care services) n asked my number and verified it and it proclaimed me winner for their winter season prize and asked a bunch of questions...Everything was so promising untill it reached the end...They said that i have to confirm my win and to do so i had send my name along with my address and game code...And when it reached the part were they told me the game code it went like this..."Here is ur game code...""Once again ur game code is...""Here is ur game code one last time..." They never gave me the game code...This intrigued me so i called them 3 times to get the code and my brother also looked it up...But it was the same result...After a couple of days i checked my bill for this month and found out that they have charged me for each and every call i made...

    I was frauded by one o[censored]r Services which had no effect in this zone and i hope that u dont expect me to pay for it!!!

    Vodafone — Complaint on Vodafone cheating

    This is with respect to the money lose and Insulation I had from Vodafone Karnataka circle for my mobile number [protected]. I found this e mail id from TRAI website.

    On 23rd of March 2009, I was checking the options available in my newly bought mobile as well as Vodafone prepaid connection. I found a option called Vodafone services, In that Info services. When I again pressed it I could see something says Missed call info. When I pressed it just automatically send an SMS with out even saying anything and later I received an SMS saying my missed call alert is been activated and I have been charged INR30. In fact Vodafone did it without even my knowledge. And when I called customer care to complain about this, he was so rude to me and with out even giving a solution just disconnected my call. And they were laughing when I said my problem as if I am saying some jokes. For me this is not just a matter of INR30. Vodafone can cheat a customer who doesn’t know to read English and they can earn lot by activating all these kind o[censored]nnecessary services.


    I do not know whether any action will be taken to protest consumer interest, but I feel relaxed since I did something against this legally.

    Vodafone — CHEATING ME

    FOR THIS MONTH (MARCH) I AM USING BOOST PACK FOR RUPEES 148. ITS CONTAIN LOCAL VODAFONE TO VODAFONE 60 MIN FREE ONLY FOR THAT MONTH.. BUT THE LIMITED DID'T PROVIDE THE FREE SERVICE OF 60 MIN. AND I MADE COMPLAINTS IN THE CUSTOMER CARE FOR TWO TIME BUT STILL THERE IS NO RESPONCE

    my current on going plan is 199 fv corporate plan
    from last 2months i was told that i will get better plan then the current on going plan
    i was going to discontineue this number as i was getting better plan in airtel but i was given a assuarance that they will give me in better plan in vodaphone itself from last 2months

    i activated sms promo pack 35rs 350 sms free i was told this will be active within 48hr but now they are this can't be active on your number then why they gave the assuarance

    I purchased a new connection from vodafone (then hutch) on 13.01.2006 (mobile number [protected]), ever since I purchesed the connection I have been getting calls from various names calling for some person named "avdhesh", "pappu bhai" "mahabir singh yadav" etc. each claiming that this number belongs to that person and he has ran away with his money.

    At first these were normal calls but then after some time these people started using abusive languages and foul gestures and now they even started to threaten me of dire consequenses if I do not let them speak to him.

    When the matter reached this extent I tried to contact vodafone help center seeking help, but I recieved a very shocking reply, the executive Mr. Jaspreet singh told me that "Yes the company gave you a number which was previously used by some other persons, and if you are getting such calls you shall have to deal with them on your personal level"

    Even on repeated requests he did not budge and kept telling me that this is my problem and I shall have to deal with it on my own.

    Sir, my only mistake was that I purchased a connection from this company and for that DO I DESERVE TO FACE SUCH HUMILIATING SITUATION

    I am a professional and no one has spoken to me in such foul language ever in my life, but only because of vodafone today I have to face all this humiliation and pain.

    Hi there...similar thing happened to me...it is very unproffessional on Vodafone's path to have such options where the money can be deducted without the customers knowledge...

    however i doubt by registering on this website ur complaint becomes a legal action...

    when i called up customer care, they werent rude, but they were inefficent & just kept describing the service to me ( what do i care...i dont even need it)
    well this will b my last ineraction with vodafone...I will definitely stay away from them after this & do my best to warn others...

    Vodafone — Customer Service- Cheating

    This is against Vodafone India...

    I had subscribed for their Vodafone mail service...

    I got a confirmation message from Vodafone that the service has been activated...

    The amount also got deducted from my account...

    After that..

    1.The service never got activated
    2.I have called their helpline several times..I was just transferred from here and there...but nobody could solve my problem.
    3.I get different comments that sevice is not activated/need another 48 hrs/call helpline, sorry we cant do that... etc
    4.Every time I call the number ( 55666) which they say is toll free, I am charged with a heavy tarriff.
    5.Every time I was told to call 111 or 4777 or 55666...none of them could really help.
    6.My mobile number is [protected]..pls check the call records to see the details..it must be available in their system.

    sir i am prem kumar using vodafone [protected] for more than three years on 29-4-09 i sent sms MRP 125 to 111 it came that 125 had been repriced to 108 and i can enjoy vodafone to vodafone for 10 paise other mobile 49 paise but after recharing i dint get that one, i went for customer care they said " i dono ", then went to vodafone store they said " we will do", then to nodal officer they said sms was wrongly sent by vodafone .. they made me to move here and there and dint kept their promise .
    I also have been facing many problems using Vodafone Postpaid number.

    This is a cheating done by Vodafone towards me. First of all the customer service executive called me up and asked me to activate VMC on my phone and told me that the service charged 10/- daily. So i activated the service on my phone. I kept the said service activated for 2 days, that means that i should be charged 20/- only. But when i registered my complaint for deactivation of the service, they told me that the service will not be deactivated from that day but will be deactivated from next billing cycle and i will be charged 300/- for the service.

    When the commitment was made to me about 10/- daily, then why should i pay 300/-.

    This is a total disrespect towards the customer.

    If the said problem persists i will not pay the bill.

    I have started 1 year contract with VODAFONE at 2 July 2008.

    At the starting point, I understood I can cancel after 1 year. So I visited VODAFONE agency on June 2009 to cancel my contract.

    Accroding to the explanation of the agency, I submitted the cancellation by fax. I think everything was OK. I turned off my mobile and didnot use the mobile any more.

    But unfortunately the VODAFONE fee was still charged after 2 months from my bank account. I was very upset.

    I visited the agency again and I asked I donot understand why the fee was still charged. The agency replied "We donot know why"

    After a while, one womam in agency showed me a general policy. According to the policy, I have to cancel the contract before 3 months. So I have tp pay the fee July, August and September.

    At the point of contract, there was not any explanation about 3 months policy. Also the agency did not give me any policy and letter about cancellation policy.

    When I visited the agency to cancell my mobile, the agency did not any explanation.

    I think it is cheat. terrible.

    VODAFONE is just focus on selling their service. Do not consider after sales service.

    ive been using vodafone postpaid since a yr and at the end of every month,all i did was call 111 nd yell at those people coz every month they would charge somewhere around 600 to 700 rs. in fact when i got my credit limit reduced to rs.300,my bill used to be rs 471 and so on. i mean when my credit limit is rs.300,how the f can they charge an amount exceeding rs 300????sick of all this,i got it switched to prepaid,only to add insult to injury coz although i paid for the sim and got the sim at home,the Vodafone executive forgot to enter the number while giving me the sim and so again my sim was out of service and yeah the Vodafone stores are also located poles apart from every station so i had to take the pains to visit their store and tell their dumbass executives to fix this problem.Again i recharged my phone with rs 52 for the new per second scheme and believe me,they took ONE WEEK and NUMEROUS VISITS to the store to get it done!!!!!!!!!Finally when i got it fixed,i got an sms that my documents were lost by the store and hence my services would be stopped from tomorrow!!!!IS it my fault that the store was irresponsible enough to lose the documents i had submitted?????????and why dont they verify the documents before starting the service itself??Whenever i call 111 now,there are no so called"executives" to recieve the call and all you hear is that you have to keep on pressing no.s ranging from 1 to 9 tiem and again until your fingers hurt and you throw your phone in the trash can!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAPPY TO HELP???????????i don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i seriously hate vodafone like hell coz they are nothing but soulless moneymaking dumbasses!!!!!!!!!!!

    I was talking on 07.12.09 at evening with my home & my aunty in conference those are all vodafone no. but in the middle of talking i call to anaother aunty who has telephone no-[protected].

    metter is that i have recharges of Rs.249 for local vodafone to vodafone free . when i called to [protected] and cut within one minute but unfortunately Rs.5/-(five) has been deducted from my main balance instead of 50paise only.

    i am very sad to say sir when i call to customer care they told me that i have called to 90900347 for 10minutes and they did not give me satisfaction with talking.

This facility was costly so I decided not to keep it further. I kept my balance below 118, as they couldn't deduct the amount, but shrudely they deducted my balance & kept me in minus upto 85 Rs.When I made complaint to their officers they stopped combo facility saying that "your combo facility is withdrawn due to not maintaining proper balance but not credited the deducted amount. They have charged for that facility which they are not providing.I think I will get justice soon.

    1 .While using Vodafone voice chat IC and chat with different person but I came to realized that their your own person appointed by you ,it vodafone I can through neccessary.

    2.I repayed the full amount with full interest only on condition that the same number will be reactivate.After receiving the amount I got the information that the number has been deactivated ,and it is impossible to activate the same number.

    3.When I intimated the above issues to your nodal officer she replied that issues could not be sorted due the de activation of sim card.After that I submitted the complaint through e mail I got the reply from --nodel officer that it will be activated at the earlist and requested me to contact the nearest Vodafone Store.

    4. I didnot get any satisfactory reply from your Nodal officer for my query about Voice chat (I was cheated and have realised that your own female staff had been chatting me by waisting my time and money .The above all you have exploitted the customers innocence and trust with you and I came to know that you have appointed staffs for this pity game for voice chatting.While calling your vodafone number 111 ,tells that you are not engaged such a game.

    I have been using my vodaphone mobile no. [protected] since 1999. I have never complained to vodaphone regarding the payment but this time when I requested them on 25th Oct. 2010 for activation of email services on my Nokia E-5 Phone, They gave me a plan of rs. 250/ per month for unlimited surfing. I was told that my plan would have a download limit of 512 mb. I have received mails not more than 4 to 5 mails per day.
    I received a message to pay bill for rs. 1500/- in the month of December, I enquired about the bill but I have not received any reply from vodaphone for the same. I paid the bill without disputing the same at the time.
    This month again when I received bill of Approx Rs 1700/- I checked my bill and found it a 23 page long document and that my vodaphone connect services had been continuously running 24 hrs. and I had been charged for the same. I have never used my mail services continuously, I have also complained many times that the net connect services do not work when roaming, Vodaphone has never commented on the same.

    I complained to vodaphone on the 9th of January.2011 regarding the bill but they are not going to understand my problem. They refused to wave off my extra payment and said whatever you want to do, do it.
    Then I went to the vodaphone store in Faridabad on 10th jan.2011. The Person sitting on board also refused to solve my problem and did not try to understand my problem.
    I have requested them to disconnect my mobile services and I am not going to pay more money. They have refused. I wish to transfer this no. to another carrier ASAP.

    Subject- cheating in activating the number after receiving the money

    Dear Sir/Madam

    On 20th February 2011, I got a call on my Airtel mobile bearing no.[protected] from one Mr. Lucky, whose mobile no is.[protected], who said that he is calling from Vodafone and he has some scheme of vodafona about which he told me regarding new connection.
    Then, I took a new post-paid connection from your service on the promise that you would activate coporate full value 299 plan on my current number([protected]) .One of the field executive of Vodafone ,Mr.Rajendra Kumar (whose no.is [protected]) from M/s intouch Solutions visited to me on 21st February and taken documents and provided the sim card and taken Rs.250/- as cash and provided the receipt number 25150 dated 21st February 2011.The SIM number allotted to me is [protected] with CAF number 82624303.
    I had also applied mobile no.portability on about February 2011 to airtel and the airtel sent a UP code no.AD 342834 but the Vodafone officer told me that the portal request was rejected by the airtel for one or another reason. It took about 14 days.
    Then I requested to Vodafone officer (Mr.Lucky) to leave the portal request and issue me a new number. Then he issued me a new number bearing [protected] and he told me that this new number will activate within 48 hours after verification. I received calls from Vodafone for verification. They verified from me the address and all the formalities. They called me for this purpose for 4-5 days. And now more than 10 days past, neither my number was activated nor they are ready to refund my amount. I have talked to Mr.Lucky of Vodafone, for number of times but his response was negative. Even he was not ready to entertain my call and says this is not his department. I also talked to Mr.Rajender Kumar of Intouch solutions (the person who had come to my house and taken the documents) number of times to refund the money but he refused and says that he can’t come and unable to do the same and gave me the number of one Mr. Sumit Makhija of Intouch Solutions. I talked to him and that person also refused to entertain the call. What all it is am I begging any thing. Till now I didn’t get any single right information or help from Vodafone regarding my connection. There are many companies who care for their customers but what the bluddy treatment you guys are giving to your customers as a telecom company, a new brand in India don’t know how to do their work, how to behave with the customers and provide customer satisfaction.
    I would like to request you to kindly look into the matter and rectify the issue and either activate my new number given to me or refund my money. I would also like to know that how come is it possible that you can sign and confirm the agreement and after that doing nothing and kept harassing me mentally..
    The kind of service you people advertise is totally useless. I am going to put this mail along with all the concern number on the blogs and to the consumer forum. I have been cheated by Vodafone .They have taken the amount and neither activated my number nor refunded the amount and when I call to the people they just throw the balls to one another. I had clearly talked to your operators number of times and even to the man who came to my house to give the new sim card but now when I speak to them regarding this they say that they are helpless and can’t do anything, even they do not attend the call properly and avoid talking to me. This is a clear cheating going on with me.
    I just can’t keep running from pillar to post...talking to the operators was of no consequence so far and I just don’t want to leave my money as I have paid for a service which I never got and no one gives a damn about that in the cc.i Just wanted your reaction on the whole issue before I initiate my next step.
    I would also like to complaint against your executives and field executive(Mr.Lucky and Rajender Kumar), who misbehaves with the customers and do not attend their call properly and after taking the money avoid talking to them. And when I told them “I will complaint against you people to your superiors” They are least bothered about that and replied “You do as you like” that incident gave me a bad impression about the Vodafone staffs.

    1) I want to know the purpose of Vodafone customer care Centre’s kept across across the country, Is it to fool the customers and to collect revenue for the company?

    2) Why Vodafone Customer Care department which is having an internationalBrand image doesn’t train their staffs how to behave with the customers?

    3)The time is precious for all and why they are delaying unnecessarily? They can collect all the queries/complaints and call and inform the messages/solutions on our complaints if not able to process/reply at that moment.

    I hope You will look forward in these type of matters and pressurize service providers to keep the commitments given through plans while marketing in sweet words.

    I was continuously receiving call on my mobile phone from Vodafone to get a postpaid connection. I agreed after a number of calls to have a Vodafone connection to avoid the disturbance through mobile phone. They asked Rs.250 and collected the money on the next day, 11th of June 2011and promised me to give the connection within 48 hours. After paying the amount, they started harassing that I would get a confirmation call and activate the SIM within 72 hours. It had been continuing for 10 days by receiving at least a dozen calls in a day they are going to activate the SIM within 72 hours. They repeated the same slogan that you have to attend the next call and say your address.

    I got angered and asked them to return my money. After that I was receiving calls from a lady appologising. She also used the same slogan that I had to attend another call from Vodafone and say my address.

    I sent many e-mails to Vodafone to back my money. They were not giving a satisfied reply. Once they addressed me as Mr.Khan instead of George.

    I approached the Vodafone Corporate office at C-48, Okhla Phase-II,New Delhi and waited more than 30 minutes to speak with their Customer support executive,Ms.Azra. I told all the bitter experience before starting their service and asked for refund. She refused the refund and eventually agreed to return my money back after deducting Rs.100 and would pay after 60 days. She was saying whatever you do if you are not agreeing. I was insulted in front of other customers. She was saying that I am not residing the address given to them. I have been residing in the same place for the last 7 years with my wife and two children.

    Till date they have not taken any step to solve this issue.

    I realised it is a style of cheating operated by Vodafone and its associates by giving forcibly faulty SIM cards at a cost of Rs.250 where SIM cards are available at a maximum of Rs.40 in the market. People leave the issue to avoid the harassment and irritating calls by ignoring Rs. 250. They get innocent Indians like me and can pocket money by practicing fraud.

    I have bought a Vodafone simcard on 17/07/2011 with Rs.19.50 balance and recharge Rs18 (with recharge voucher, serial no.[protected], date of pkg: 23/04/2010 and expiry date 23/04/2013) at 2h 55min on 18/07/2011 for unlimited free surfing for 3 days. After recharge I had got a massage “Dear Customer, Rs18 pack of Vf live (GPRS) with unlimited free surfing for 3 days is activated now” from Vodafone. After 5 min of this massage I started to surfing (downloading iTunes setup) suddenly a massage showing that “downloading failed” then I was tried to connect but I failed, when I check my balance with *141#, I was surprised! What is it? Balance Rs.-35.50. How it possible? Then I call to customer care (111) the representative said that the pack will activate after 4 hours of recharge. Again call at 198 and asked them what the problem was of deducted the money? They tell me that I was surfing the chargeable site, I answered that was not a chargeable site because when I start the download there was nothing written about the charge then the representative transfer that to his senior She said me that you can only surfing the http:// sites not www sites. I am surprised again, what is it? I asked her, where is written by you about this? On recharge voucher? Many things written there but not about this speech. But it is written on recharge voucher that “The packs include Vodafone Live Service only & Multimedia Messaging Service will be charged as per standard rate. All downloads vis-à-vis games, ringtones, mp3 songs, themes will be charged as per standard rate”.
    This is to inform that the vodafone tele-sales has just attained new high in cheating its existing customers.

    In the first week of July I got a call from one of theTele-cheat agents that there is a new package where in I can make all local calls at 30p/min effective my new billing cycle. I liked the plan and decided to go ahead with this. The tele-cheat agent informed me that this packed will cost me Rs.25/month apart from standard billing plan and will be effective from July 11th 2011.

    Now comes the revelation. In the 3rd week of July I get a SMS from vodafone services that this plan has been activated on my connection, with applicable call rates of 30p/min, ONLY FROM 6am - 9am.


    Now WHO IN THE HELL WOULD LIKE TO AVAIL A PLAN LIKE THIS.

    This is not a case of mis-selling its a total case of cheating. This company has crossed all limits of ethical business practice and stabbing the customer in the back. This is an all time low level to which vodafone has stooped to suck some extra money from its customers.
    Today I have called up the vodafone customer care(to whom i have to pay to talk) and confirmed the same.

    Today onwards I will be addressed as an ex-customer of vodafone rather than existing customer.

    Vodafone — vodafone cheat

    Hi,

    I am a vodafone customer for 3 yrs now
    name: nitin chinnannavar

    I am getting too many tele marketing calls from hdfc ,standard chartered, etc...I have complained to vodafone customer care abt the same ,but vodafone does little to care about such complaints...well I want to know the legal process to initiate an action against vodafone for repeatedly failing to prevent leaking of phone numb thru their sales rep!!

    I am sure the data is shared by vodafone exec!!
    the details of nos for tele calls below:

    I need action to be taken against vodafone for failing to take any action ,repeatedly...vodafone is not serious abt customer personal info...they are leaking it !!!

    dont say u will take an action, I need to know y no action has been taken when I have complained to nodal officer???
    pay me compensation , I will take the legal course of action...

    dont just say ur working on the problem!!! call me on [protected] and tell me wat u have done so far and pay me compensation for sharing my numb else I will reopen the complaint

    my name is harjit and no is [protected].i wanted to activate 1 gb data plan.i saw the activation code from there site.when i dialled *444*98# and free sec package got activated.i dont need it.i need data plan.its there fault wrong code has been put on there website.i emailed them also they said nothing can happen now.they have put wrong codes on there site.rs 98 has been deducted from my account
    Cheating at vodafone -- i placed a request of number porting on 13/05/2011 but still that has not been done and after my request for money refund

    these people dont seem to refund back my amount and just ask me to go to the unorganised vodafone outlet which i have visited more than 50 times

    This is for your information that cell no. - [protected] (prepaid connection ) was disconnected first without any information without any reason. Secondly that number was reactivated on 3rd. Dec. 2012 with new SIM but that number was not activated till date. I have talked with customer alot of times ( Talk with Ashwani, Jagdeep& so other persons by cell no. - [protected]).They said this will be activated after 4 hours but no result found.My lot of charges incurred & I am suffering from last 16-17 days.     I have one MTS prepaid data card, before some days, continuously phone calls are coming from Vodafone, regarding exchange the MTS Data card with VODAFONE Post paid connection, then Vodafone executive come to me and collect my old MTS Data card with Rs 500/- and my identity document, and as per Vodafone executive he is going to handover new VODAFONE Data card with in 3 days, and he give me one Vodafone slip, now the same executive is not come to phone or he is not give me any data card, can some body help e in this matter...
    I had purchased Samsung galaxy s3 mobile last month . I got to know from the store where I purchased that there is a offer for free 3g for two months in Vodafone. My mobile no is [protected] I got this Vodafone sim in Annanagar Vodafone store. I enquired about this to executive named antony he discussed with the manager and confirmed me that the offer is available so I purchased a new sim from Vodafone store. I called the customer care and asked why my 3g plan is not activated . They told it will be done in 48 hours . But nothing was activated so I registered a complaint regarding the issue dated 11th may . My complaint no is [protected]. They said your problem will solved in 7 working days but it is not solved. When enquired about it today I was shocked they are telling my complaint has been closed stating antony has clearly told that this offer is not available whIle getting my sim which is totally false information . When I can get my mobile for 30k I don't mind spending 300for 3g but I don't want to be a looser to that Vodafone store neither anthony . Pls kindly take necessary action, especially on antony he is cheating a customer . If he would have requested me sir I provide wrong information I would have left it.     I have had a very bad week with Vodafone.

    First of all, the Vodafone customer care people (they said they are) called me last week and told me that there is a good offer for Rs. 666/- which will give me 1500 mins of calling all over India free and 1.5 GB 3G internet free.

    I had told them specifically that I cannot get deactivated because I have client calls, even on weekends. They said there will not be any problem with the service. It will get activated within 2 days and before doing so, they will give me a prior notice.

    Then, they came last Thursday or Friday and collected my ID proofs and all, took Rs. 500/- and gave me a new card. They again said it will be activated within 2 days.

    Then, Sunday morning at around 4 AM, I got a message saying the following:
    "Dear Subscriber your number has been successfully converted to Postpaid. Please switch-off your mobile and switch on and select Postpaid from the STK menu".
    This message was sent, but, they did not ask me to change the sim card at all. It was like I have to use the same sim card (which was fine for me). Also, they said they will inform me, which was not done.

    Now, after doing the step messaged to my phone, nothing worked. Not even the new sim card. I tried multiple times. I couldn't even make the call to the customer care from both the numbers. Both were not active. Then, finally I call the customer care at around 10 AM from a friends' phone and the customer care takes about an hour to find that the sim card which I have was not the correct sim card. Then, they told me to go to the Vodafone store and ask them. I said, no I will not do that. The customer care people called me, they came and collected the docs and gave me the wrong sim card - they made the mistake, and now they are asking me to go to store. Then I asked them to activate the prepaid atleast, but they said not possible.

    Within this time, I lost my two clients who were supposed to call me from Qatar for an important meeting.

    Then, on Monday, the customer care (as they said), called me on my secondary number - Airtel - and said sorry and said they will come and give the number and all.
    Finally, Tuesday, they came and gave the sim card - luckily - the one which was my number itself.
    Now, 3G is not available. I called customer care about 10-15 times this week. Whenever I call customer care - 111, they tell me that Vodafone does not have 3G. I said the above plan was what was told I will get. I had 3G on my prepaid and now I don't have and you will not allow me to change it back to prepaid. I do require 3G for my work. Then, they said they will investigate and get back to me within 2 hours - this is what each customer care agent has been saying for the past 2 - 3 days. But, no response at all. They said they will escalate also, no news.

    I will not be paying the bill if my 3G is not activated. Or else, take me back to prepaid, and I need my Rs. 500/- back also.
    Also, I want to know how the customer service works, let alone the liars who called me and told me about these offers - they called me repeatedly for 2 days for me to convert to postpaid saying it is for selected customers and it is because you have been using the 3G in Vodafone and all.

    One of the person - Rina - [protected] - called me and told that if I have any problems, please contact her on this number. And, now, no one is picking up.
    My phone no.[protected].I have rechrged withRs.29 for STD mins pack.but when i call to STD landline phone( i.e.[protected] my main account balance get reducted, although my STD mins pack is active.when i call to customare care they told than only mobile STD call is treated as STD call not the landline call.
    I also have been facing many problems using Vodafone Postpaid number. This is a cheating done by Vodafone towards me. First of all the customer service executive called me up and asked me to activate VMC on my phone and told me that the service charged 10/- daily. So i activated the service on my phone. I kept the said service activated for 2 days, that means that i should be charged 20/- only...
    sir i have recharged my vodafone phone no with 199 rupee ( upto 2gb unlimited speed and after 40kbps ) a message in but when ever i start browsing in my mobile i just loose network coverage and i was unable to sent a single message in whatsapp to friends also . i had registered complaint against my problem in service centre (ref no[protected] and they said this problem will be rectified with in 2 hrs . but i face same problem from last 4 days and when ever i use to contact service center they were not connecting my call in this way they had cheated me so please help me to get justise

    This my second complain. Pls take necessary steps. They are fooling indian people. They say that they provide 21 mbps 3g speed but i m not getting half of speed. We are paying heavy amount every month for this so called 3g speed.

        I have been calling and disputing my Vodafone bill for over 2 months.

        I have had Vodafone service since June 2008. My monthly bill is around Rs 1500 but never over rs 2000.

        I recently signed up for data service. They told me that my monthly charges would increase by Rs 2000.

        I was very surprised and shocked when I was billed Rs 10,000 for that month.

        I refuse to pay this amount. I have already sent written complaints to Trai against Vodafone.

        I am in the process of discontinuing my service with Vodafone and switch to Airtel.

            Vodafone — Invalid Charges

            I took a new connection from Vodaphone, and recieved an SMS "Apki ek call de sakti hai apke apno koh khush! sabhi STD call sirf Re 1/min par . Activate karne kw liye call karen 888888 ya
            SMS karen ALL 56565(tollfree) par. "

            When i sent the SMS i recieved another SMS now saying that "Hello! Your request for change in all Local and STD call tariffs to Rs 1/min for Rs 7/week has been registered. We will revert to you within 48 hrs

            I was surpised by 2nd SMS to see tha charges and when i called Vodaphone customer care they aske.d me to send another SMS - CAN ALL at 56565.

            I send that SMS Immediately, but was surprised to see the charges were still deducted:

            My Concerns : 1. Why did Vodaphone not mentioned the charges in first SMS itself.
            2 . Why did it before not cancelled the request even before it was activated(as requested by customer)
            3. When i again reached customercare to refund this, they simply put me onlong hold and then cancelled the call.

            Its not matter of few rupees, its about how the telecom companies are operating..I need justice.

            Vodafone Postpaid — Invalid charges

            Dear Sir,

            This is Umesh Pandey i'm a existing customer of Vodaforne holding 199 Corporate plan.

            I made a requset for 10 paise SMS plan in feb.

            At that time i called Customer care executives they said it will be activated from next Month (March), But i was charged for that in Feb month bill.


            And on 31 of march i recieved a message syaing SMS plan will be deactivated from 31 march, when i called Customer care they say it got activated by mistake and you will not get any benefit of that plan neither befor 31 or after 31 Since i'm not applicable for that my question is that when i'm not applicable then this plan got Activated without any prior intimation and on Vodafones systen Failure why should i PAY...


            I was under impression i'm under 10 paise SMS plan before 31 st March i sent more than 500 sms now they say Charges will be 50 paise per SMS.

                  I was using Vodafone for 3 yrs but due to lack of services and false service promises which resulted in my over rated high bills. The customer representatives response to my complaint was very much erring and irresponsible. For the same reasons I ported my services to airtel on 27th July 2011 and requested for refund in November 2011.

                  I am about to receive a refund of Rs.1532/- from vodafone as a refund. which is awaited since December 2011. I am very much being harassed by the customer care people of Kalyan Vodafone Store.

                  I am making several visits like a waste of time. Bt I am not getting any kind of reply about my refund money. Seems like Vodafone intentionally harass people who withdraw their useless and false services. I am very much fed up running behind them requesting them to provide me with my money but instead of helpi8ng me out, they are making me run behind them like a dog.

                  The kind of response I am getting from the Customer Service representatives and the Store Manager of Kalyan Vodafone Store indicates that they have misplaced my refund cheque and are laying around my patience just to provide my harassment for withdrawing my services from Vodafone and switching to Airtel.

                  I am seeking help from the nodal desk of Mumbai, located at Andheri in Mumbai. But that is even not helping me in any ways. I am very much looking forward to get my refund money back as soon as possible.

                    Vodafone — unwanted call and message

                    Dear Sir/Madam.

                    I have taken vodafone prepaid connection and my number is [protected].

                    Every day I am getting unwanted calls and message about life insurance policy, slimming products, beauty products etc.

                    Its very disturbing, vodafone dont have any rights to share our personal number with any add forms.

                    They by default should activate "Do not disturbe service"when we take the connection. Why do we need to active that by ourself?

                    Its very frustating calling vodafone service. I tried calling 5-6 times but I am on continues IVR (Very frustating message /unwanted information) waiting to get connected to customer care exective.

                    Its complete misuse of our details.

                    Plz do the needful.

                      I am using the Vodafone last 2 year without any objection but last month facing big issue about billing.
                      My credit limit assign by the Vodafone 1500/- Rs but my billing amount 3705/- Rs for the month of Feb-2012, for my convenient charges I’ll activate 2GB plan in 98 Rs, but when my uses are finished 2GB company not provide any alert SMS or call to me Also when my credit limit cross of 1500/- that not get any SMS or call….
                      Now I am every day received 3 to 4 call for payment every one say transferring call to senior but not do it…..

                      This is not a right process to generate billing or charged to customer…

                        I hope some1 would listen me here... i am just exasperate with services of Vodafone. they started targeting customers by deducting balance illegally... i have launched complaint on Vodafone for balance deduction on March 25 and i got reason that i sent mms @ 9:20 pm on March 24 for which balance deducted.... Now my concern is i have internet connection in my phone & if i need to send any MMS i can do it with Whatsapp and Email and secondly if i sent mms then it was on March 24 then y balance deducted on March 25 in evening.... They have no answer of it and after forwarding emails and making escalation and 1 representative is saying that they will refund and 2nd is saying they wont.... Their statements are getting changed. I am attaching email communication from Vodafone for your reference. Pls take necessary action against it.

                          I am a vodafone customer and my phone number is [protected].

                          This is to bring to your kind notice that, I wanted to change my vodafone postpaid connection to prepaid connection. So, I approached the vodafone store at Mahipalpur. Every time I approached them they started postponing my complaint by saying that I have to come on my billing date and when I used to go on my billing date they used to say that the prepaid sim cards are out of stock, the server is down etc. This went for almost 4 months and finally somehow my postpaid connection was converted to prepaid on 28th March 2012 and I was told by the vodafone store employees that my mobile will be activated after 24 hours and it hasant been done yet. When I called up to the vodafone customer care on 30th March 2012 they said that there is no such request for sim migration on my mobile number and i need to contact the store.

                          How many times should I roam around the store?? All my bank accounts are held up. I cant make any NEFT transactions without mobile. This is not the way to provide service. When will the request be processed when my mobile will be activated??

                          Also, the most important thing is most of all the vodafone store employees dont respect their customers. I dont know about other stores but the behaviour of the vodafone store staff at Mahipalpur, New Delhi isnt good. Their attitude towards customers isnt good.

                          May someone please take some action on this issue.

                          i have recharged with Rs.98 internet pack, on 13 th october 2011(Valid till 12 th November2011), our network will have to give 2GB of Data Service,but it gave only two days of browsing free , after that amount to be deducted of my browsing(around Rs.300), i complain bout that, they said about that it was a technical problem and amount will be credit in twenty four hours, but ts not happened.the problem till continued up to now today also (10 th november 2011), the customer care executives responses are below

                          1) Amount will be credited in 24 hours, 19th october, 21 october, 29 october,& 3rd November, and till.....

                          2) you Have Mapped In 3G by some executives, you not mapped in 3G by some executives

                          3)Your data Usage Exceeds 2GB with in Two Days.

                          4) Sorry , we have some technical problem., some of subscribers also facing some problem we have been rectifying....!

                          5) your data is Not Available to us.

                          6)Your Browsing is 1.2 GB only on 4th November 2011, total usage is 2.8 GB up to that Day
                          ( so I have browsed 1.6GB(2.8GB-1.2GB) before 4th October, so it didn't exceed 2 GB up to that day, so amount should not be deductible, but amount deducted from 15 th November which of my browsing)

                          Vodafone net work is not a stupid company to resolve technical problems in longer days.


                          MONEY IS NOT IMPORTANT ABOUT RS 200 OR 300, BUT I GET TENSIONED ABOUT BALANCE DEDUCTIONS IN IMPORTANT OFFICIAL TIMINGS, ABOUT MOBILE BANKING TRANSACTIONS, they are


                          1) balance deduction for browsing while i am conducting in mobile banking transactions

                          2) Cannot connect internet in Negative balance .

                          so please kindly cooperate with me,
                          As directed by your employee via vodafone customer care I went to the vodafone store at Mahupalpur and enquired about the status on 30.03.2012 and they said that due to some technical difficulties the server couldnt get updated and the problem would be solved by today i.e, 31.03.2012 morning but still it hasant been done.

                          May please solve my problem ASAP

                            I am mahendra nakhate i was purchase the vodaphone sim just two days ago from hinganghat the sim seller told me 1000 SMS free from this sm card , but when i am using this sim , the sms balance is deducted from my main balance so i want this balance refund from this provider. as soon.
                            So this one type of cheating and all people are very unhappy from such type of harassment so please refund the money other wise i will stuck up the door of consumer court.

                                I am using Vodafone (Delhi) # [protected] from last 4-5 years but this time they discontinued my ISD facility just because i missed the Payment date (within a week), and when i called the Customer care the agent (ANKUR SINGH) told me that "they can disconnect the connection the very next day of the due date i[censored] miss the date", and the behavior of the agent was also VERY RUDE, i think this is the royalty Vodafone is giving me for using there services from last 4-5 years.

                                  I own a BB 8520, i wanted to activate my BBM so i went to the vodafone office, i did a top up of 300 and i was asked to send a messg to 144, saying "ACT VL" after which i got a reply stating "request for zero rental vodafone live activation has been successfully registered. I was then asked to send my IMEI number aswell. Its been 6 hours since and all i got was a text saying "serivce registration code is so-and-so and that the service will be activated day after. I assume its about the VL.

                                  But what am i to do next?

                                  I am using Vodafone (IN). I activated BBM on 20.6.11 at 01:00am and till 01!24pm i am not able to use the service... The call center people says that they do not find any problem with my set and the services activated on it but, they are not able to handle my complaint.. Please help me by telling that how could I use my BB premium services??

                                  1. I have registered it from host routing table for wireless connections
                                  2. I have changed my apn settings to "blackberry.in"

                                  The things which i am not able to perform:

                                    I have taken a Vodafone 3G Dongle device for my Internet connectivity mainly for VPN services.
                                    I enquired with the service provider and was promised that the device will work for Internet as well as for Vpn connections.
                                    The offer with the device is that We have to pay 2months rent in advance and the monthly rent is 750+ service tax. So, I paid 1657/- and took the device on 1st Feb 2012. However, the device didn't work for about a week and was told after long follow up that due to some signature mismatch the device wasn't activated. After that the device was working but for only Internet usage and not for VPN services. Hence, I have kept on mailing to the Vodafone team regarding the issue about the device. They told there is no problem from their end and didnt take up the issue properly. After that the internet connectivity was not consistent and after some time the connectivity also got failed. I went to the executive from whom I bought the device and complained about this, but I was surprised to see that there were many people who stood in a queue complaining the same to the person including my colleague who sits beside me. Till date i.e, 29th March 2012, my issue has not got resolved.

                                    Vodafone — no internet connection working

                                    my internet connection on mobile phone is not working since 2 days.i had called customer care so no solution was provided from their end. i have been told that 10 days will be needed to rectify the problem and activate my internet again though i will be charged 200 rs rental for the whole month. could anyone please tell me how 10 days is justified to activate my connection. if i dont get it working by tommorow, i will be switching my network tommorow itself.

                                    Vodafone — No Connection for 3G Device

                                    I have taken a Vodafone 3G device for a unlimited year subscription by paying 7500+850(tax) ,the device did not worked from the day I have taken,reason stated by vodafone service people is ,server problem and will be resolved in a weak. But after routine visits to vodafone mini stores and the store i purchased and couple of mails to the nodal officer ,the issue did not resolved. When i asked to return my money they boldly said "it is a one time payment and we cannot return the money".And at high of all this my number is disabled stating it is begin not in use in-spite of my numerous complaints.Requset you to help me in this regard.

                                        Dear Sir i am holding vodafon prepaid mobile number [protected]. i was on roaming at Sirsa haryana from 12 mar 2012 till 23 mar 2012. I recharged as topup for Rs.200 on 12 Mar 2012 at sirsa, haryana. But i got Rs. 46.81 in my account. I spoke to customer care on the same day but they did not resolved my query and asked me to contact customer care of tamilnadu area but they themself were not able to connect me to tamilnadu area customer care. i wasted Rs 48.81 ( credited amount) towards talking to customer care itself. Ibut my problem was still not resolved and customer care of haryana told me that they will contact me soon on this issue. i was waiting for their call and passed ten days. after that i came back to Arakonam Tamilnadu and again spoke to customer care on 24 mar and asked to resolve my issue. They said that they have record of only last three days. when i forced them to look into my trouble seriously. They also said that vodafone customer service will contact me within next two hours. I am stiil waiting for completion of their two hours. whereas as far as i am concerned 5 days have passed and i have not received any response from vodafon side. I dont know how they calculate tie and how they treat their customer. When customer has putup complaint to any of their office ( whether in Haryana or tamailnadu), it should be their duty to resolve it and just not to throw ball to each others court.

                                        Pls look into it, because my problem it still unresolved
