My vehicle Polo KA 25 Z 9295 has run only 33000 kms and servise provider is telling us that the vehicle is not run number of kilometres it has to run in 3.5 years and due to which suspensions have gone and I need to pay 18to 20 thousand rupees for the work and I have even paid money for extended warranty. The servise provider from hubli is telling me it's not covered in warranty too . I am a doctor by profession and daily I drive to my hospital and back approximately 15 to 20 kms to and fro, if the car suspensions don't last for just 33000 kms then what's the quality of the vehicle we purchase ? If it's under run the suspensions will be split is the reason given by servise manager .., is it right on your part . Is it so expensive to buy and maintain the polo car ? And why no warranty is covered in to it ? Why tax every time we take it to servise center ? If this is the policy of the compony I am afraid it is giving a very poor remark . Kindly look in to the matter .

Dear Dr

Yours is not an isolated complain regarding negligence and unprofessional and indifferent attitude of Volkswagen it starts right from the senior level management. The company thinks just because its a big cooperate brand and none o[censored]s Indians would waste time to take them to task they behave in this manner and provide us with substandard products poor cheat service I am having proof of their cheating and fraud committed toward me. They have given to me a vehicle with defective parts which they neglected or could not detect or did not change on purpose so that my car could be ruined to a state of beyond reasonable and viable responsible financial repairs Since last six months my vehicle is lying with their service center and there is not a word of response in spite of sending them legal notice. They cannot reply as they know what fraud they have committed

How rightfully in other countries put their MD behind bars for cheating here the process is long but I am filing case against Volkswagen as I have enough evidence to prove their fraud and cheating.

Support from Indian citizens like you who can quote their similar experiences would be a real added advantage to teach these MNC a lesson. Please feel free to contact me.

        Hi
My vw Polo has been at Automark Andheri East since 30th March, thursday. The left side of the car had bumped into a stone and the coolant leaked out and the underside fibre (bulk head) of the car broke. I got the car towed into the workshop and nothing was done till monday. I told them over and over on the phone what exactly happened and just the pipe seems to be the issue.

Here is the day by day ordeal i went through .

Day 1, thurday - nothing (this was evening so its fine)

        day 2, friday - nothing

Day 3, saturday - case gets transferred to someone else (i didnt know about this neither did the person who it got transferred to)

        Day 4. Sunday - Holiday

Day 5, Monday - No Call till afternoon. So I call them and the person tells me he didn't know about this case. He tells me to fill the insurance forms

Day 6, Tuesday - I give them the insurance forms in the morning. I have also been asked to sign some form that states I am satisfied with the VW repair work. BEfore its even started! anyway, Case registers at the insurance company.

Day 7, Wednesday - Tells me car could not be moved because of some reason (I call the surveyor and surveyor tells me the guy forgot to show the car to the him) so the guy sends the car pictures to the surveyor instead.

Day 8, Thursday - Sends an estimate to the surveyor and me of FIVE LAKHS PLUS damages without even opening the car. This includes gear box (if needed), fuel pump, stump, basically everything the car is made up of.
So the case has to go to an outsourced surveyor.

Day 9, Friday - Surveyor goes and rejects all of it. Tells them to open up and estimate damages. Damages found? Just the radiator needs replacing.

        Day 10, Saturday - Holiday

        Day 11, Sunday - Holiday

Day 12, MOnday - Promise to give the car delivery

Day 13, Tuesday - needs to pump in coolant in the radiator before giving it for servicing

Day 14, Wednesday - Service guy calls and says engine belt, wipers, towing head all need replacing or changing for the future. Promises to give me the car by evening

I am still sitting and waiting.

Now for the cost . A year ago the bulkhead got disconnected on a highway and we got a temporary wire to hold it in place from the local mechanic. it was functioning without any problems since a year.
When my car hit the stone on 30th March it broke. The insurance guy wouldnt cover it because old wire was holding.
I had to take that cost on me personally plus the panic and stress of a 5 lakh estimate and 2 weeks of making countless phone calls.

This is the worst servicing for a company that seems to be all proper.

          Address: 600078

          Date 11/03/2017
          I have a VW Passat (engine no. – WVWH103C3AA000799, Registration No. – TN07 BJ6646 )
My car had a manufacturing defect (as admitted by Volkswagen in their) chain tensioner failure so the total engine damage . When Iam returning from my native to Chennai ON11/02/2017 with my family the car stopped while commuting on a highway putting the lives of my family and me in danger as truck just about missed our car by a few inches. The car was towed away to the workshop which cost me 12700rs after 5-6 hours o[censored]s waiting there with the my family in the middle of the road, still recovering from the trauma just suffered from the unforeseen malfunction.

Having explained the almost miraculous escape we had from a life threatening accident by a just few inches due the carelessness of the company I presumed that the Volkswagen would respond to it with priority; but; to my surprise even after about 2 months of reporting the incident I didn’t even get a call from someone responsible enough to handle this only the service person namely Mr.Selvam from pondichery is trying with his counterpart. Such is the competence of Volkswagen in India.
After many weeks of chasing them, they finally offered quote for the total engine replacement, while I kept insisting that the vehicle ran only 50, 000 km and also confirmed by the Pondichery authorized service that it is due to defective part. They kept saying that the warranty expired for a vehicle which ran for mere 50000km and taken care and serviced by reputed and authorized Tvs sundaram in Chennai.
Already these type of problems occurred in Usa and Europe for which Volkswagen responded in positive way to keep the brand in high.

For a car worth Rs. 28 lakh, the brand is extremely incompetent of handling the after sales service for a car of this segment. I can only sympathize with other customers of Volkswagen who own any of their products.

I would also request anyone having cars with engine number in the same series to be aware of a similar defect in the car.

Still Iam waiting for Volkswagen India to support the Indian customer and not to expect the customer to bear the total cost for a manufacturing defect (Chain tensioner fault accepted by Volkswagen that the model before 2012 are all having this fault and rectified by new designed chain tensioner for the cars after 2012).Kindly take necessary steps to resolve before we get exhausted and to take legal action.

Please find the below evidence accepted by Volkswagen
A class action lawsuit filed by 24 plaintiffs from 17 different states alleges that Volkswagon and Audi hid a known engine defect from purchasers of certain 2008 through 2013 model cars. The complaint asserts, “Defendants wrongfully and intentionally concealed a defect in the timing chain system” of VW & Audi vehicles with an EA888 engine.
According to the Audi and VW engine defect class action lawsuit, the hidden defect “presents a significant safety risk” because “when the Timing Chain System suddenly and unexpectedly fails, Class Vehicles lose engine power” and “drivers and occupants of the Class Vehicles are at risk for rear-end collisions and other accidents.”
This most recent VW and Audi class action lawsuit over an alleged timing tensioner hidden defect joins two previous lawsuits with similar allegations against both car manufacturers from May of this year. The first Volkswagen lawsuit was filed by a plaintiff from New Jersey who alleges that his 2012 VW Jetta timing chain failed from because of the latent defect. The second lawsuit was filed by a plaintiff from Connecticut who claims that his 2011 Volkswagen GTI catastrophically failed because of the same defective timing chain tensioner system.
Like the previous lawsuits, this class action alleges that a latent defect in the tensioner system of the timing chain can cause the chain to “jump a tooth” in the vehicle’s camshaft, which causes serious and sometimes fatal damage to the engine. The complaint contends that the defect is impossible for car owners to discover, but Audi and Volkswagen knew of the tensioner system problem since at least June 2010. Normally, the timing chain is meant to function perfectly for at least 120, 000 miles, the class action states, because the system is not on the schedule for recommended maintenance from the manufacturers. However, with the defective tensioner, the timing chain frequently fails well before that mark, but often after the warranty has expired.
The class action lawsuit alleges that Audi and Volkswagen failed to inform customers of the latent defect prior to purchase or lease of the affected vehicles. In Addition, “Defendants refused to fully reimburse or compensate certain Plaintiffs for vehicle repair expenses or provide a suitable substitute or replacement vehicles” to fix or reimburse consumer who were affected by the engine defect.
The latest VW & Audi engine defect lawsuit requests to certify a Class of all persons “in the United States who purchased, own, owned, lease or leased a 2008 through 2013 model year 2.0L TSI or 2.0L TFSI VW or Audi vehicle containing the defective Timing Chain System.” The complaint asserts that Audi and Volkswagen violated the consumer protection laws of Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Washington, and asks for subclasses for residents of those states. The lawsuit seeks restitution, including treble damages and punitive damages under various state consumer protection laws.
The 24 plaintiffs are represented by James E. Cecchi and Lindsey H. Taylor of Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody & Agnello, P.C., Gary S. Graifman and Jay I. Brody of Kantrowitz Goldhamer & Graifman, P.C., Joseph H. Meltzer, Peter A. Muhic, Melissa L. Troutner, and Ethan Barlieb of Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP, and Thomas P. Sobran of Thomas P. Sobran, P.C.
The VW & Audi Engine Defect Class Action Lawsuit is Dena Stockalper, et al., v. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, et al., Case No. 2:16-cv-04346, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

May 23, 2016 — A Volkswagen timing chain tensioner lawsuit alleges numerous VW and Audi vehicles have defects in the timing chain tensioning systems that cause complete engine failure. The proposed class-action lawsuit includes many VW and Audi vehicles.

Plaintiff David Zimand says he leased a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition with a 2.0-liter TSI engine in April 2009, and in 2012 bought the same vehicle from the same dealership.
In March 2014, Zimand’s 2009 VW Jetta experienced the tensioning system failure which caused catastrophic engine failure. After a trip to a dealer, the plaintiff claims he had to pay to replace the camshaft, chain, chain tensioner, brackets, valves, and numerous other engine parts.
The VW and Audi A3 vehicles are equipped with EA888 2.0L TSI engines with engine codes CCTA or CBFA. The remaining Audi vehicles are equipped with EA888 2.0L TFSI engines designated with engine codes CAEB, CAEA, or CDNC. The plaintiff says all the engines with these five codes are versions of the EA888 engine and all use the same timing chain tensioning system.
The lawsuit alleges Volkswagen represents in the warranty and maintenance schedules that the tensioning system is expected to last for about 120, 000 miles without the need for repairs. In fact, according to the plaintiff, owners are provided manuals that do not show any timing chain system inspection or maintenance schedules at all.
The lawsuit says Volkswagen intentionally concealed the timing chain tensioner defects causing owners to spend a fortune to repair or replace the damaged engines. The out-of-pocket expenses can be thousands of dollars, an expense owners say they wouldn't have to pay if VW would have admitted the truth about the defects.
"Timing chain tensioner failure: I had the car towed to my local VW dealer and was extremely surprised upon receiving news that my engine and turbo were blown and both needed to be replaced. I have since persuaded the dealership I purchased from to cover the installation of a replacement engine, but purchasing the new engine and turbo (upwards of $9K for oem) has fallen on me." - 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan owner / Fitchburg, Wisconsin
The plaintiff also claims the tensioning system presents a clear and present danger to owners and others on the roads because the engines can fail at any time and leave the vehicles dead in the middle of traffic.
The tensioning system defects, according to the plaintiff, have been present since the vehicles were manufactured and sold. Based on this, the automaker should have known the timing chain tensioner problems would occur during the useful life of the engine.
The lawsuit alleges VW knowingly concealed the defects for the purpose of increasing profit and selling cars. In addition, the lawsuit alleges Volkswagen and Audi have sent several technical service bulletins to dealers describing the problems. The bulletins talked about timing chain tensioner problems going back to 2010.
The Volkswagen and Audi timing chain tensioner class-action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey - David Zimand, et al v. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. and Audi of America, Inc.
The plaintiff is represented by Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody & Agnello, P.C., and Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP.
Official Timing Chain Tensioner failure thread
A new class action filed on May 20 alleges that Volkswagen and Audi fraudulently sold certain model vehicles knowing that they had a hidden engine defect. In addition, the complaint asserts that VW and Audi knew about the defect, but did not issue a recall or pay for any repairs that occurred outside the warranty period.
The class action lawsuit asserts that “this action arises from Defendants’ failure, despite their longstanding knowledge of a material design defect, to disclose to Plaintiff and other consumers that the Class Vehicles’ 2.0L TSI engines contain timing chain tensioners that are defective and fail prematurely.”
This is the second class action lawsuit to allege that VW and Audi sold vehicles with an inherently defective tensioning system for the tensioning system. The first action claims that the timing chain tensioning system has a defect that can cause the chain to lose tension when the vehicle is off, which can allow the chain to “jump a tooth” in the car’s camshaft and cause serious damage to the vehicle’s engine.
Similarly, this timing chain tensioner defect class action alleges that VW and Audi have designed no less than four different tensioners, and argues that “the existence of four production changes to the timing chain tensioners exhibits flaws in the design and/or manufacture of the timing chain tensioners in the Class Vehicles that Defendants acknowledged and remedied without informing owners and lessees of the Class Vehicles.”
The complaint accuses VW and Audi of actively concealing the known defect, refusing to recall the affected vehicles, and routinely refusing to cover the costs of repair after the defect manifests itself, especially after the warranty period. Audi and Volkswagen violated consumer protection, federal warranty, and anti-fraud laws, according to the complaint. The class action contends that vehicle owners have been harmed by needing to pay for costly repairs, and by losing market value in their vehicles due to the now known defect.
Plaintiff Allan Gaudet states that he bought a 2011 VW GTI in Connecticut on Jan. 1, 2011, and routinely maintained his vehicle. Yet in May of 2016, his GTI “catastrophically failed” due to the timing chain tensioning system while he was driving it, and repairs would have cost him $3, 650. Gaudet claims that had he known about the tensioner defect, he would not have bought his vehicle, or at least he would have paid substantially less for it.
The VW, Audi timing chain defect lawsuit seeks to represent a nationwide Class of all purchasers of the following vehicles: “[protected] Volkswagen Golf MK5 GTI, MY[protected] Volkswagen Golf MK6 GTI, MY[protected] Volkswagen Jetta MK5, MY[protected] Volkswagen Jetta MK6,[protected] Volkswagen Passat B6,[protected] Volkswagen CC,[protected] Volkswagen EOS,[protected] Volkswagen Tiguan,[protected] Volkswagen Beetle,[protected] Volkswagen Sportswagen,[protected] Audi A3 8P,[protected] Audi A4 B8,[protected] Audi A5 B8,[protected] Audi MK2 TT .” The class action seeks restitution for all damages to Class Members, including punitive damages under state consumer protection laws.

          1. Unpredictable failure mileage could be as early as 10k and latest one so far happened at 60k.
          2. Full engine replacement is recommended because jumped timing ruins both the head/valves and the bottom end.
          3. VW seems to be picking up the tab while car is under the 5 yr 60k powertrain warranty.
          4. Happens to tuned and untuned cars.
          5. 2008-13 all Years seem to be affected
          6. It seems that after 9/12 motor build dates updated tensioners were used
          7. There is a TSB currently out on the issue:

          Some Ideas for a fix
          1.
Updated tensioner as such: Long term durability is still not proven.

          http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47082

          2. OEM updated tensioner on the LEFT... the retainer on the factory installed tensioner fails... causing the chain to skip timing.

          CURRENT CASE
Volkswagen Timing Chain Tensioner Defect – Class Action Investigation
McCuneWright is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers who own model years[protected] Volkswagens with 2.0L gasoline engines. It has been alleged that the timing chain tensioner is defective and eventually fails due to no fault of the consumer. The timing chain links the crankshaft to the camshaft and, when properly tensioned, ensures the valves and the pistons operate in sync. When the timing chain fails, the valves will begin to collide with the pistons and the engine may begin to rattle or fail to start. Eventually, an improperly tensioned timing chain will cause catastrophic engine failure.
It has also been alleged that Volkswagen has been aware of the defective nature of the timing chain tensioner for years but has failed to inform consumers of the defect and routinely blames the timing chain tensioner failure on improper maintenance. It has been further alleged that in late 2012, a production change was implemented to remedy the defect but Volkswagen failed to inform consumers of the production change.
If you or someone you know purchased or leased a[protected] Volkswagen with a 2.0L gasoline engine and experienced a failure or repair of the timing chain tensioner, please contact us.

          Dear Sir

Am surprised that they are waiting to give to you a high value quotation for repairs and change of engine after they ruin the vehicle and then they will ask you to sell off your car and cheat some person ahead of you

Support from Indian citizens like you who can quote their similar experiences would be a real added advantage just a few minutes of your time to teach these MNC a lesson. Please feel free to contact me as your comments will help us to get justice in the courts.

My Audi 2011 had the timing chain fail at 52K miles, unfortunately it was 2 months past my warranty date. My entire engine needed to be replaced at about 10K. Audi was only willing to replace the actual timing chain about $1, 800. The ruined engine was on me... So yea 8K for a new engine at 52K miles!!! I am hopping mad!!! I need to see what happens in this lawsuit. My husband says we should just get our own lawyer. I just can't believe Audi would do this...I still owed 6K on the car it was that new!!!

Pathetic service and a clear loot at midc navi mumbai volkswagen service centre. service centre employees care a damn about customers and their valuable car (s). sole motto of all of them is to make increased bill for any work done on car and take as many days as they can for even a small work.
No control or professionalism at service centre. only what matters is money.
I am not sure if that is also the motive of autobahn owners / top management. i urge top management of autobahn to look at improving the quality and professionalism in service centre employees and do look at the rising cost of service.

We had a minor accident at 8/4/17 near Panvel at the entrance of the Pune-Mumbai Expressway where a Volvo bus grazed the driver seat door of the car. We were able to shut the door with the help of a door. Unfortunately we had a unavoidable family emergency at the same time in Thane we decided to take the car to the service center in Thane and solve the issue there. We had informed the people at Thane center about our predicament and they assured us they will help us out in any possible way.
But on arriving at their centre none of the people were interested in handling our complaint or even bothered to answer our question.
                Absolutely lowest form of professionalism.

We have taken automark service for Plate No.GJO3FD4171 which gives 4 annual services but unfortunately we have been cheated by your company for last 2 years.Last year only 3 services done and this year only 2 services while expiry of contract nearing.

Thus it seems we will have to inform your Head Office and make others aware thru'Social media etc. so people would be aware before commiting this Contract option where Companies manipulate after taking the Contract amount in advance.

                    Address: Gurgaon, Haryana, 122001

                    Dear Volkswagen Team,
I purchased my New POLO GT TSI Euro IV, chassis No: MEXJ15605GT031508, Engine No: CBXK18578 in the month of September 2015.
My complaint is of poor quality and lack of quality control on basis car components which are expected to serve a life time, but the failure has happening in early life cycle of the components. Following have failed prematurely in my car:
                    1. Break drum and break assembly: This failed and got changed with first service i.e. before 30000 Km running of the vehicle, got it changed from authorized service station at Sect 52, Gurgaon. I was told it was not covered in warranty. I may agree with the argument that it is a component which is constantly at move, but why such poor quality that it will fail with in 30000 Km running only, what is the tolerance limit?
                    2. Front Wind Screen: A week back front wind screen developed a crack, I took it to Sector 18, Body Shop, Gurgaon, I was told it is not covered under warranty, there was no external force visible, possible cause given is striking of wiper blade, every morning cleaning boy lifts the wiper to clean the glass and releases it, resultant force may have caused the damage. Technically argument may be alright when company doesn’t wants to take liability. This glass is supposed to be a toughened hard glass which goes through stringent quality control norms, then where is the quality?
My vehicle has run approx. 37000 Km only so far, I am extremely satisfied with the performance of the engine, but am most disappointed with the poor quality control of components and premature failure of major components /parts ( as mentioned above) that are supposed to serve the lifetime.
I request you to please look in to the quality issue and compensate me since these components are within warranty period
                    Regards,
                    Sanjeev Chopra

                    Dear Sir

Am surprised that they are waiting to give to you a high value quotation for repairs and change of engine after they ruin the vehicle and then they will ask you to sell off your car and cheat some person ahead of you

Support from Indian citizens like you who can quote their similar experiences would be a real added advantage just a few minutes of your time to teach these MNC a lesson. Please feel free to contact me as your comments will help us to get justice in the courts.

I purchased skoda rapid from senator motors, mumbai. At the time of purchase itself i opted for extended warranty for which senator motors has duly given me a debit note.
Sometime after receipt of the car, senator motors closed down.
I went to another dealer jmd auto for service. I informed the dealer that i have purchased the extended warranty. Their response caused me to become suspicious. I therefore sent scan copy of the invoice to jmd auto as well as customer care email ids of both skoda as well as volkswagen. All 3 did not respond to the email and 2 follow up emails. I have now received email from jmd auto saying that the standard warranty is over and that i should purchase extended warranty.
This is clear fraudulent practice on the part of the company and its dealer. How can the company so shamelessly deny me something which i have already paid for.

                      Respected Sir

This is just the beginning of your problems with Volkswagen and you might never receive any reply from them its their policy and culture to disrespect customers cheat and go into denial modes.

I have been facing this with Volkswagen who have ruined my car and is lying in their workshop since last six months and am not receiving any reply from them until and unless I pay up to them for the damages they have done to my vehicle.

With all due respect and high regards for volkswagen india, i am hereby writing up to express my sincere disgrace towards the services provided by automark motors pvt ltd, (Rajkot, gujarat, india). Quoting my car registration number, you would be able to find a number of complaints from the same dealer.
I take great pride in driving my polo tdi highline, but as well regret buying it because of consistently lower quality of after sales service by the dealer.

Of the most recent and one of the worst nightmare of a customer, i feel i have been cheated by the dealership. Last month i. E february, i dropped in my car to the service station as a result of some problem in the fuel system. As informed to me by the service advisor, the fuel pump of my car was damaged and needed to be replaced. The then service advisor, through whatsapp conversation informed me that the said part needs to be replaced and as a part of the goodwill programme i am eligible for the free replacement. I was further informed that the fuel pump had been replaced.
However, recently there was a diesel leakage and i found it suspicious. On further checking up and asking the crm and the service advisor, i was said that the fuel pump was not replaced and just repaired. The question arises, is this what i as a loyal customer deserve? Is this less than committing a fraudulent activity or misrepresentation of facts or misguiding the customer? It certainly isn't an act of omission, it is clearly taking undue advantage of the customers faith in the renowned brand such as volkswagen.

Offering me to check the car now isn't the solution because it is far beyond a normal car problem and clearly a fraud intentionally committed by the dealership.
I as a consumer, request volkswagen india to take necessary steps against the dealership because the dealership is your direct representative and acts on the company's behalf.
If necessary and appropriate steps are not taken i won't hesitate to exercise my legal rights as a consumer.

                          To Concerned,

I own a VW Polo Highline bought in July 2014. I also have extended warranty from VW covering the car until July 2018. I had my car transported to my family in Delhi. In very unfortunate circumstances, my father-in-law, who was collecting the car on delivery found that the car would not start.

The car was then towed to the closest VW service centre - VW Gurugram. On arrival (8th March 2017), the service centre execs promised to take a look and report the problems to us. From here on all our dialogue with the VW Service Centre (VWSC) execs happened on the phone as Gurugram is quite far from Ghaziabad (our place of address).

On initial report, we were told that the radiator was cracked – possible mis-handling by the Transport company – and it will have to be replaced and would cost to the tune of INR 30K. We agreed to go ahead with repair. Then followed another conversation a couple of days later in which we were told that the car’s engine had overheated due to loss of coolant and eventually seized the Engine. The VWSC reps promised to check if this can be covered under the extended warranty. They also explained that it might have damaged the pistons and the head. We feared this was going to become a costly affair. After another 5 days that included a weekend and a national holiday, they broke the news to us that the whole Engine unit will need to be replaced. Reason they provided was that a Petrol engine is never repaired by VW (in cases like ours) and strangely a Diesel engine can get repaired. This didn’t sound right to me. We asked for an estimate from VW. This was going to be a massive hit money-wise and we decided to lodge a formal complaint against the Transport company for all the issues they have caused. The estimate was sent out (attached) which stated the cost to be nearly INR 3.8 lacs. At this point we thought best to find out from other sources if we can a) claim insurance for total loss or b) get it repaired elsewhere.

The insurance idea fell flat as we were suggested that the Insurance wouldn’t cover engine problems without physical damage but did get options of good external service stations. We decided to get the car repaired outside and went to the VWSC to get back the car on the 25th March. When VWSC reps learnt our intention, shockingly we were told a few things and as a loyal customer of VW service, I demand to understand how these conclusions/decisions were made.

                          1. The VWSC hadn’t opened the head yet and said that they can open the head and check if the problem is not that grave and they can repair it easily. How did they even decide that the WHOLE engine has to be replaced without checking these details?

                          2. The VWSC rep then claimed that they repair the car within INR 60k, fix all the engine problems and also give us a warranty of 6 months on the Engine. This is atrocious! How can they first quote a phenomenal 4Lac figure and later guarantee a repair within 60k with a warranty. This however they did not give us in any form of writing. I feel this is very unprofessional. Please explain

                          3. On collection, we found that even the dirt on the bolts was intact which is proof that the car was never even opened properly to diagnose the problem. How is it possible that they just stated so many problems without any physical inspection of the car?

                          4. Diagnostic report provided says that the first overheating alert was detected on 1st March when meter read 27538 kms and the next one was only on the 7th March at reading of 27557 kms. At this point the engine apparently seized. If the car just travelled only 19 kms (which would be the usual distance to a Service Station) in 7 days and this stalled the engine completely, why cannot it be covered under the warranty? This looks very much like a car problem than driver negligence or pre-meditated attempt to destroy the engine.

I currently live outside India and having to deal with such problems and organise assistance is a challenge. Putting a mask over my eyes into paying more money to repair my car and lack of transparency by a registered Volkswagen group service centre would have been the last thing I wanted to experience. I am not sure whom to believe. Definitely the Transport company was at fault to begin with, but the failure of VW to reinstate any faith in their mode of assistance or ‘service’ is a shame. Can this be circulated to the right regional representatives and can action be taken to provide justification of what unfolded and a suitable solution to the whole problem.
                          Looking forward to open dialogue.

                          Regards,

There wasnt a positive outcome in our favor. Also, no clear reasons were given as to why the quotes mismatched at different times. However, we were told that since the engine overheated as driver error and not due to any manufacturing defect, the problem will not be covered under warranty. We have personally decided not to follow up on this issue longer. On the whole, not satisfied.

                            Dear Team,

We had booked a Polo Comfortline Petrol car 2017 model in the name of Aswathy Mohanan on Monday 20th March 2017. I am very shocked and disappointed by the behavior of personnel from Apple Auto Pvt Ltd - Volkswagen Whitefield, Bangalore.

We had booked the car on the promise that our existing car “Maruti Alto LX -2009 model will be given 1Lakh and 10 thousand as the exchange value and 3k for the cooperate bonus.

After confirming the deal with apple auto for (Exchange value -1, 10, 000/-, bonus-3000) we gave a booking amount of 10, 000/-. We had confirmed on all the above facts before booking the vehicle and then agreed to proceed for loan sanctions.

The Apple Auto pvt ltd personnel at the time of collecting our existing vehicle” Alto” gave us shocking call on Saturday evening saying that they cannot offer us an exchange value of 1, 10, 000/- and giving a shocking reason that my wife has to be blood relation to me to be eligible for the 10, 000/- bonus.

We never had such a pathetic experience running around to collect documents for loan approvals like HR letter twice as address proof, form 16 for 2 years from previous organizations and finally after submitting everything relevant for loan approvals.

We request you to look into this incidence and take necessary actions against the (old vehicle evaluation manager) who came to our premises for evaluation after doing all evaluation of our existing car had agreed and confirmed us a final offer of 1, 10, 000/- on our existing vehicle and asked us to proceed with booking of the car.

Because of such lack of transparency and irresponsible behavior from Apple Auto Pvt ltd, we are stuck and are unable to proceed buying the vehicle.

My car has been giving me some or the issues since I have purchased. Most of the problems remain unresolved or not upto my satisfaction even after Sending the car to the workshop multiple times. Now after the 3rd service the car comes back with most of the issues unresolved, foes to the workshop again and this time the car's battery has stopped functioning. I am not sure how is that possible unless there was a manufacturing defect of has been mixed up with some other battery at the workshop as the car has been running on a daily basis. Request you to help me with a solution as I had invested in all possible protection plans like extended warranty, RSA, AMC at the time of purchase and still there isn't anything to take care of the problem. Hoping to hear a positive response soon so that I can continue to trust Volkswagen as a brand going forward as well.

                              Dear Sir

This is just the starting of your problems with Volkswagen at later stages you will be surprised that they will make you run your vehicle with defective parts and will be waiting to give to you a high value quotation for repairs and change of engine after they the vehicle and then they will ask you to sell off your car and cheat some person ahead of you i ONCE USE TO TRUST THIS BRAND AND THEIR VEHICLES BUT NOT ANY MORE LEARNT IT THE HARD WAY WITH EXPERIENCE

Support from Indian citizens like you who can quote their similar experiences would be a real added advantage just a few minutes of your time to teach these MNC a lesson. Please feel free to contact me as your comments will help us to get justice in the courts.

Today morning Mr. Hemant share my all documents to HDFC bank without my permission. If any thing happened to me who is responsible for the same and How he dare to share my documents to any other company. Is this is the culture of Volkswagen??

Today at evening when I visited World Class Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Ajay Thakur scared me and the language he talked was too much rough. He don't have manner how to talk with Customer such a disgusting employee of your company.
Due to Mr. Hemant and Mr. Ajay Thakur's Behaviour I dont want to take this Ameo car and his false commitment.

                                    Hi team,

I have approached this team before also but there was no major resolution.
Anyway, I am trying my hand one more time.
I reside in saket area of New Delhi . My car which is blue colour polo diesel (DL 3C BW 3484) is at Badarpur frontier workshop of Volkswagen since Saturday i.e 18th march 2017.
The problem with my car was that I was not able to start it, and for the same I have left my car there.

First of all nobody is following up regarding what is going on. I am calling them everyday like 5-6 times and the reply I get is that they are unable to identify what is the problem .
Neither they are giving me any time line nor they are providing me with any other resolution . The contact person is Harish Bisht[protected] at the workshop.

I am fully aware that Volkwagen is highly irresponsible but I still thought things would have changed but of course Volkswagen being Volkswagen things haven't changed .

Can anybody tell me what should I do now.

In case the authorised workshop is not able to resolve it what is the next step for me .

I hope somebody would come back to me on this .

                                    Thank you !

                                    Dear Sir

Am surprised that they are waiting to give to you a high value quotation for repairs and change of engine after they ruin the vehicle and then they will ask you to sell off your car and cheat some person ahead of you

Support from Indian citizens like you who can quote their similar experiences would be a real added advantage just a few minutes of your time to teach these MNC a lesson. Please feel free to contact me as your comments will help us to get justice in the courts.

                                      Respected sir,

                                      Kindly attention

Before one year my car show leakage from of one sparking plug i immediately visited to your service center located at jammu that is above 300km far from my home they take one week to rectify it but after fifteen days it show the leakage under tapper cover then i contact the service center they had told me we have opened service center in your city (srinagar) when i visited there and discussed with them they assured me it is a minor problem it will rectified in few hours but again i faced the same problem . then after few months one of my good friend told me that you visit lally motors India pvt ltd ludhiana.
on 6 jan 17 i visited lally motors for servicing for radiator fan, oil leakage and suspension,
the service advisory inspected the car and give estimate of rs 26482.48/- and give delivery date 7/1/17 and on 7/1/17 he send another estimate of rs 41015.46/= when i inquire on the phone he told it needs also repair to disk break, disk break etc and assured the delivery will be after two day and i spend three in hotel because the service center is 600km far from my home then after three days when i visited to service center they told few spare parts are not available in store so we have bring them from company and advised me to return home and we will update you. After that i buy plan ticket around rs 9000/= and return back to home.on 14/1/17 i got another estimate form vwcare of rs 76691.11+taxes when i contact the service advisory he told there are some more spare parts needed and he assured your car will run smoothly next 5 year.
finally 18/2/17 i got delivery of my car jk01R 8141 but there was some noise when i told them they assured me it go smooth with in one or two day then i paid the bill of Rs 79009/=.+ to and fro charges 350000/= but day by day the noise increases, oil leakage as it, radiator fan continuously running and lot of problems added then i contacted to your lally motors they said bring the car back to service center but unfortunately car is not in that position to run 600kms (srinagar-ludhana) . believe me it is very had to run 20 km from my office to home.
In this connection i am requesting you that please inquire the matter and solve my problem as early as possible.

                                      Thanks wit Regards

                                        Dear concerned,

My car no is wb03k5365 polo. This is extremely disheartening to see a brand like yours mis-selling insurance to existing customers. I have always bought car insurance from volkswagen itself not referring to any individual insurance companies for quotes because i had trust in the brand till the time i bought my car from you.

This year the below mentioned lady has contacted me for policy renewal with a quote greater than last year. I have given the cheque and the policy was issued. Today i get a call for inspection of my vehicle which i have never done earlier. When enquired, i understood that my last years policy was a normal policy by sbi and this year it was changed to bumper to bumper. I clearly remember the sales girl pitching me last year from vokswagen has clearly told me that it was a bumper to bumper insurance for which i paid a price of 13873 as asked to sbi. So the mis selling was continuing since last year. Had my vehicle gone through any calamity, i would not have got the insurance benefit at all.

Excellently this year also my policy gets issued before inspection of my vehicle without my consent.

                                        Pls answer me :

                                        1. How was my policy issued without inspection?
                                        2. How did the policy got issued without my consent for inspection?
                                        3. Why was last year’s policy sold to me as bumper to bumper with an equal amount of premium like this year while it was a normal policy? Then is trusting volkswagen wrong on our part?

If anything happens to my car in between all this issues i will hold you responsible for all the wrong doings that you are doing on account of insurance to the customer. You will provide all service and replacements free of cost in case of any damage happening out of any calamity till you give a satisfactory reply to my complaint.
