Airtel showroom details : - old no 21 new 1, M G road, church road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600020
I have gone to an Airtel Relationship center on Saturday (26/4/2016) since the shop working hours are till 8.00 pm only. I want to change my network connection from postpaid to prepaid. So i have entered the showroom by taking address proof, 2 passport photos, pan card. Now here starts the story.I walked up to an executive and asked that i want to convert from postpaid to prepaid and the answer he gave me was "Sir this was late in the evening and also server was not responding now and you can come on Monday morning".Do they think that Customer is sitting at home without any work and can come at what ever time they say.So i waited and asked another executive regarding transition from postpaid to prepaid and the answer was " we want you bring previous month bill hard copy to serve your request" upon which i asked that you can get it from your side and how would a customer can get that and the answer received was "No we want you bill hard copy at any cost". I then somehow reached to a Xerox center running to get the photocopies by walk and managed to download all the bill copies quickly and again ran to the shop.By now i was sweating like anything.I went to a executive asking i have my bill copy can you please process the request.Now again the wonderful answer i got is "Sir today server is down and we cannot process your request". ok all of my effort for bringing that hard copy went into gutter which in the first place is not mandatory from the information that i received from the Airtel customer care executive. So based upon what rule these people are demanding that hard copy from the customer is what god knows. By that time i control my frustration and came out of the showroom and i have already lost 50% of belief i had on airtel ( i have been using airtel for long ).
So with the very little hope i still have on this company i have visited the same showroom again on Monday ( 25/4/2016 ). i visited the showroom at 7.30 pm and it is the fastest time i can reach from office. I entered the showroom and walked up to a guy asking the same question. He referred to someother guy asking about the prepaid simcards and wow, it seems there were no new sim cards and they asked me to come next day morning.I sat at some place waiting to approach some other executive as the answer is not satisfying. Its 7.48 pm and one executive who has told "the server was down " some other day approached me and asked "sir, today also server was down and we cannot take your request ". I was so furious in my mind that i have visited to a relation-ship center to have my request processed but it was turned down for the second time due to bill hard copy issue and server issue .cant a relation-ship center that big cant even have a dedicated zerox machine, then whats the point of maintaining so called relationship with the customer.Are they expecting xerox machines in every home ? I even told that bill hard copy is not mentioned mandate as per the info from customer care executive and i even told that "call center executives" can talk to you guys regarding this thing for which the answer i got was " this was our policy so we are sticking to that to verify the identity of the customer ".so i doubt does a company can't even have techniques to identify its customer except asking the customer to fetch hard copy of the bill or irresponsible people are getting hired who dont know how to behave with a customer.Then i have asked that i want to talk to the manager regarding everything and the answer was " He was leaving the office and cant meet right now and the exact time was 7.53pm " and there still good 7 minutes of time to serve the customer.
ok by that time my complete hope on airtel customer service was killed.
What even if i rush to the showroom 3rd time and get turned down for the same reason.
Think about it Airtel.
You can see the google reviews of this particular showroom and its very pathetic.Its a crucial area.people are disgusted about this showroom and the service from the airtel executives they are giving here. They are not making the brand but breaking the brand.
Please go through all the reviews and get to know more about this showroom and level of quality it has towards its customers.
