Is CIBIL authorised by RBI? Who checks the default before spoiling credit rating of an individual? Why should CIBIL not try to settle the issue or intimate the borrower and ask for borrower's clarification before spoiling his credit rating publically? How can the Credit Card providers force the consumers to default first and charge any amount on account of defaults thereafter from the consumers.

Myself had applied for a car loan recently.

i was shocked to hear from the Banks (state bank of india, tata finance) that i had overdue in the CIBIL.

wrongly showing business loan guarranty

I had applied for a car loan of Rs.2, 25, 000 to SBI SPL housing finance branch Gurgaon. The bank has reported that my PAN card survey was showing a business loan guarranty against my name whereas, as far as my knowledge goes there should be no such guarranty against my name. Hello,
My Name is Saurabh Saxena, a Mumbai resident. I had applied to a salary account with HSBC Bank in Sep 2008 which was rejected saying that I have a defaulter record in CIBIL. When I tried to check with CIBIL, they asked me for a Control number. I requested HSBC for the control number but they never gave that to me. Barclays Finance says will not issue a copy of the CIBIL report

I had applied for a personal loan at Barclays finance about 3-4 weeks ago. The Loan got rejected due to reasons based on the CIBIL report. cibil report - verification for housing loan

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please revert on your contact details and address to dicuss this issue. During Housing loan verification with one of the reputed bank they forward me my cibil report in which there are 6 credit cards shown either closed or written off and want me to give justfication for the same.

As per best of my knowledge I have closed all these cards and written communication from banks are still awaited....

Incorrect enteries in CIBIL

My report on CIBIL is incorrect, due to which many of my loan and credit card requests are rejected. This is happening since last 4 years and I am really suprised why this is against my entry. I recently applied for a personal loan from Standard Chartered and the bank rejected my application. The reason given to me was that the CIBIL report indicated that there was an outstanding amount of Rs.139000 approx on a credit card (Sept 2001 - August 2002) which was written off in 2002.

wrong credit ratings

moreover, they told me that my name appears in cibil list, again to my utter surprise as in my whole life i have never defaulted with any bank and never incurred any late payment charges and always my payments are ontime.

i really wonder, is CIBlL just working blindly without checking the actual facts....
