I, have an Idea Mobile

I have received an Bill from Idea containing GPRS(Volume) Usage charges of RSs. 1468. 72 . I have not subscribed to internet nor do I use GPRS. These charges have come through fraudulent SMS etc sent by IDEA to increase its revenue. I called the customer care to complaint but they are even refusing to listen to me. There are 3G plans available for unlimited usage in lesser amount , why would I use GPRS worth RS 1468.72 without opting for internet facility.

My repeated requests to the Customer care to look into the matter are not heard. They infact have sent a second bill levying GPRS charges of further 1500 plus rupees. I complained to the appellate authority. Produced is their inconsiderate and non empathetic reply.

Idea Cellular — GPRS charges

HI

I am using prepaid connection of Idea cellular sim card on my nokia mobile. I have configure the mail for exchange feature in my mobile phone. I can't belive if i sent a mail from my mobile device with subjest "Hi Test mail", no mesaage body or attachment then IDEA deducated the 5 Rs from my prepaid account.

It's very frustating to me. What's IDEA ???????

We have been charged extra 1400 as GPRS volume. We are not aware of what charges are idea people billing us for.
the service and billing is very poor. I shall complain in police for the same.
Please let us know in detail that what exactly is GPRS(Volume) Usage.

The same i have been charged for the February month, so please let us know that what exactly is GPRS(Volume) Usage?

    I brought nokia lumia 720 on 2nd aug 2013.It comes along with promo that i will get 2GB 3G data for next 2 months but it is not activated.I contact the customer care but they did not gave a proper response.My new idea no. -[protected].

      I havr been charge INR 30 thrice on 10,11 and 12 aug incorrectly. I got a sms from iz-ideaCMS regarding deduction but i never clicked or downloaded anything from this site.       Idea — incorrect charges

      I applied to keep my idea number [protected] in safe custody from June 2011 to Nov 2011. Safe custody means only 50 Rs will be charges and no other monthly rental. But the great idea people have charged me Rental along with safe custody charges. thats bonus for them. I am goin to port out from idea to other provider.

      I got a sms from IZ-ideaCMS regarding deduction of money for downloading..i haven't downloaded anything.they hav charged Rs 50...i want my money refunded back..dis is one of the msg i got(Dear Customer,

      I also charged for Rs. 21 by clicking on one link send by title IZ-SDerby by IDEA cellular provider. It does not ask me anything like do you wish to continue or it will charge to anything. It just open one window on browser by clicking on the link given in sms contains http://landing.skillderby.in showing some Zombie game content. I have DND activated then why I am getting this sms each frequent days? IDEA is cheating with their customers.

        Dear Sir,

        This is Shailendra Attri from Bhopal. I had a Idea Postpaid connection ([protected]) since last 2 years. The connection was a corporate connection from ICICI Prudential and the bills also were paid by the company. I left the company in the month of May’09 and the bill was also paid by the company by cheque no. 586043 amounting Rs. 1136.00 dated 26th May’2009.

        I have received a notice form from Idea company advocate stating that the bill amount of Rs. 1136 is due and needs to be paid immediately otherwise there will be strict action. After my intervention there was communicate between ICICI Pru and Idea regarding the payment of bill but nothing has been done till date. The communication made by me is also attached below.

        This is a fault from the side of IDEA because they have not updated the amount which was already paid by ICICI Pru. Why they are demanding for the payment which has been already paid by ICICI Pru.

        Kindly look into the matter. Find the attached copy of written communication below :

          My name is sudhir,
          I have purchased a nokia lumia 720 phone on 3/8/2013 on online service of filpkart, i got it on my hands on 8/8/2013, on the back of the box on nokia lumia 720 a label of idea cellular showing that you will get a internet promotional pack of 2gb data of 3g per month for two months, for that i have to do the first call from my new phone with idea sim, then it will be get activated to the package, i have inserted my sim on the nokia lumia 720 on 8:30pm of 8/8/2013 and made my first call to [protected], but till now the pack is not activated, for that i have contacted the idea customer care, they are simply saying that the pack is not applicable for you, i have asked for the reason, they are not even saying the reason for that,
          even tho i am legally eligible for that internet pack i cannot use that pack. So please help me by resolving this problem for me by making the idea cellular by activating this pack for me on mobile number +91-[protected] which i have used first in my new nokia lumia 720 mobile.

          It completed more than 72 hours by inserting my sim in my new mobile.

              I recently (april 2013) purchased a Nokia Lumia 720.
              It comes with offer of 3g internet benefits.
              But pack is not activated.
              I contact idea about this but they said first mark a complain to Nokia.I done the same but still no response from Idea or Nokia.
              Even I email same to idea and nokia customer care.
              but no result.

                I got a call from number: [protected] advertising the caller tunes on 9-aug-2013 (10:55 Am IST). i disconnected the call without activating any tunes.

                and after few minutes an amt of 30 was deducted saying caller tune activated. i then called the customer care guys and they are charging me .50 rupees/minute.

                the cc guy says i activated the caller tune and when i spoke to him strongly, he put the call on hold and never responded back

                i called again after sometime, again the same thing, but some other guy.. my call was put on hold and got disconnected. so in total i lost 30+ INR today for nothing. CC guys are really rude.

                Idea Cellular — Activation of Caller Tunes by mistake

                On 22nd march i got an automated call regarding caller tunes on my no. [protected] which falls in a corporate group postpaid account. By mistake in place of hanging the call, a digit from the mobile keypad got pressed. as a result, a holi special dialer tone got activated on my no. and Rs15 (Song Charges)+Rs.30 (Dialer tone rental) have been charged to my account. Company refuses to credit this amount. Moreover they are charging the whole month rental for usage of less than a week.

                Subject:-Complaint against IDEA Cellular

                I am the consumer of IDEA Cellular and using their services since more then a year and today i am here to complaint against them.
                On Date 27th Feb, 2009, there was a scheme like,

                "If you recharge of 48 INR then you can get IDEA to IDEA unlimited talk between 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM."

                I did so and got confirmation text message next day in morning time stating "Your service has been activated successfully"
                so from the same night i started using that service by calling IDEA no.s of my friends but next day i came to know that IDEA has deducted 91 INR.so i just called Idea care regarding this but as i didn't got any proper reply so I registered a written complaint in this regarding this to Idea cellular but i had a worst experience ever from IDEA as they rudely answered and insulted me and even dint solved my query where as it was their mistake but they were not ready to accept it and even stop answering my call when ever i called to customer care on 4444.They still haven't solved my query though i contacted them twice and haven't got any sufficient reply from them.

                And as on now i got tired complaining of their mistakes as i don't have any hope from IDEA cellular that they are going to look into this matter and solve it.so that this is my last way to get my right by complaining of IDEA to Consumer Department.Hope that i will get sufficient reply from here.

                Caller tone started without my approval. Request was placed to remove the same. Customer care informed that the same would be done after 48 hours. Got sms after 2 hours stating that the same was done. 60 hours later too caller tone has not yet removed. Why was caller tone started without my approval. To remove the same 48 hrs are needed. 2 days to remove but 2 secs to put. Totally unfair.

                As I am having IDEA number, from past years I am getting unnecessary advertisement SMS and Calls from IDEA Service Provider. These services are useless for me. Also they are deducting money from my account(Prepaid) for these services.

                Dear Sir,
                I have been using Idea Cellular services for the past 4 years. The quality of their service is steadily going down and this is perhaps the main cause of their decreasing subscriber base.
                In Sept 2010, i realised that Idea has been deducting Rs5/day from my account. On calling their customer service i was told by some Luckan Patel that the deduction is for value added services activated by me. This is nothing other than a lie. I never subscribe to these contests since they are usually fixed and we end up losing money. It is obvious that the customer rep are trained not to admit the company's fault and to blame the customers only.
                This Idea service sucks.

                  My phone no is [protected]. I purchase Idea dongal before 15 days.
                  At the time of purchase the franchise people gave an assurance of getting a speed of 7 mbps but while using the speed restricts to 1kbps to 30 kbps. I am very much offended by his service.I have gave two time complaint on customer care but they cannot resolved. They only gave date.

                  I visited twice on My idea center regarding this issue but i think there not capable enough help me out.

                  Idea — Not Working

                  I have purchased an IDEA Netsetter two days agoa but it is not working fine. I was been told that it would give minimum speed 150 kbps but I am getting only 4-5 kbps speed. Also it does not connect most of the time.

                  hi, i m vikas kumar and working with ING Vysya bank. i applied for idea post paid connection on 1 april 2010. i filled the form and i paid Rs. 500. Executive told me that it will take 2 days to activate the connection. and now i m calling them from 3 april 2010 to till date. but they r not activating my connection.

                  Idea — Idea is not good service provider

                  THis is not good service provider....
                  They are stop your mobile card any time without any intimation... and when you ask they also not provide positive response...

                  Also there customer care service center are not open and close on time.. they are not for customer.....
                  i suggest to any people, please don't not use idea service. its service is very faltu.

                    how man years you take to start a new prepaid connection. When a car can be serviced in maximum 12 hrs. When ever i go to your bhatar branch it says it will start next day. And when called to your website details it says it takes 4 days to start a new number. What a worst experience!!

                        Mobile Service Providers — non availablity of sim cards

                        I ve recently started a mobile shop in Maval area. the problem over here is we don't get sim cards for all the service providers like to idea, airtel, vodafone. The executives who come to visit are not having regular timings. And if we go the nearby area ( pcmc or pmc ) the dealers over there say we don't give sim cards for maval area. And in maval area it's very difficult to find dealers and even if get one the guys working over there say we are also retailer i'll have to ask to our sir / boss. Same is the situation for lapu cards and recharge vouchers.

                        I have already visited 2 My Idea centers and they are offering postpaid micro-sim (to push the sales of postpaid service) and saying company is not sending them the prepaid micro-sim, so what to do? Is not the duty of Idea to provide or exchange the standard sim with the micro-sim for free flow of their services.

                            Dear Team, I have taken Idea post paid no in Nov11 and continued the services of Idea even after I was transferred from Delhi to Rajasthan. On April07, 2013 I received call from them to convert my basic rental from Rs 249 to Rs 1299+ applicable ST with benefits like 5GB internet data with 3G speed (a ajor reason to select this plan). They converted my plan on April 09, 2013 but did not provide me 3G benefits. I continued to pay bill amount till aprild and june. However, I stopped making payment from June onwards considering the fact that Idea was ignoring my complaint and making excuses of govt order for stay in 3G services. I kept requesting them to chnage my plan back so that I can continue with Idea. But they did not accept my request. Now when the amount reached to Rs. 5653 so I got worried and marked mail to customer care requesting them to regularize errors in billing. Despite of considering the fact that this was my initiative I received call from collection agency Mr. Gaurav ([protected], [protected]) who abused me and my family. He also called my brother and father and abused them. When I reverted him on the issue, he said to me that Bhad me Jao.

                            Today again, My friends, my office people and my family received call from a lady Ms. Anjali ([protected]), she said lot of bad thing regarding me with my all near and deares ones.

                            I want to request you to please take it forward for better resolutionj. I will pay the outstanding amount with my previous rentals.

                            Idea Cellular — Incorrect call charges, very bad customer service

                            I am an Idea Celluler pre-paid customer. I had taken a service where Idea will charge me 1paise for 1second outgoing call. This is valid if the call is from Idea to Idea. Today (24/08/2010), all charges that I have made to Idea numbers have been charged at 1rupee per minute. I called up [protected] ans 198, their customer services number and spoke to different people. If i called the 12345 number, they told me to call 198 and vice-versa. Nobody helped me give the information as to why I was charged extra and nobody logged a complaint. When I requested to speak to a manager, i was not put through.
                            Moreover, the customer care executives sounded so rude.
                            This is not what is expected when you have a customer on call.
                            I want my money back also the continuation of the service of 1paise/second to be continued.

                              I purchased Nokia Lumia 720 on 2nd August 2013 with the offer saying 2gb 3G data and was told that it would be activated within 48 hours of making the first call. It has been 96 hours since i bought the phone. I tried to enquire through idea customer care number but they are rude and do not reply. In fact, one of the representatives indulged into arguments.
                              Kindly resolve the issue at the earliest. It is spoiling my experience of Nokia Lumia as well as Idea.

                                  Connection was disconnected three months ago.
                                  Bill was not received to me for last three months.
                                  Suddenly a bill of amount Rs 3400/- was generated and sent to me at my e-mail ID. As It was a huge amount for me to pay at a single time.
                                  So I requested to Idea customer care to settle this amount but there was not any response from their side.

                                  Now after three months Idea service care executive are calling from Mobile no.- [protected] to all my Relatives, Colleagues, Friends and all my contacts.
                                  Their executives are talking very Rudely & abusively to all my contacts. Also they are threatening my parents for last 6 days regarding the bill payment.

                                  By all these threatening from Idea Mobile Service I am getting very much harassed , depressed & Insulted.

                                  I want to file a case against Idea Mobile Services.
                                  As I had already submitted a written application against this Mobile no-[protected] in Central Police station, Sector -12 , Faridabad, Haryana on 29/07/2013.
                                  Still such type of calls are coming to all my contacts.

                                  Kindly Suggest to me as I want to take appropriate & necessary action against this Mobile service provider as soon as possible.

                                  Idea — harrasment in mobile connection

                                  my idea no.[protected] has been out of service for past 8 days.even though i have submitted all my address proofs and photos(thrice) they have barred any calls and sms es from my no.even customer care executives are not cooperative.they say its the fault of dealer who hasnt submitted the documents to them but dealer says he has done so and dealer blames company for all this.i have spent soo much of my petrol going to dealer everyday and have made around 30 calls to him.everytime i get assurance from dealer as well as company people that my service will be resumed but these are just false promises.
                                  i have nt ever experienced such an irresponsible behaviour from a reputed company.it s causing me a lot of mental harrasment..kindly look into the matter.i ll be highly grateful.

                                  IDEA Cellular Services — Harrasment by Idea Cellular Services

                                  Hi!
                                  This is Neeraj Mittal, a privileged postpaid customer of Idea Cellular Services having Mobile# +91-[protected].
                                  I am really sorry to say this; I am not at all satisfied with the services Idea cellular services are providing to the privileged customers like me. The only thing they provides to your customer are the false commitments, and TAT (Turn around times).
                                  Problem:
                                  On 23-Oct-2010, at around 6:50pm, my Sim card was blocked and I am getting the message as SIM CARD REGISTRATION failed. At that time, I was in my hometown, just planning for my fiancée’s birthday party.
                                  I was stuck in between, without any contact. The embarrassment I face cannot be described in words.
                                  On my arrival back, to NCR, on 25th October, 2010, I contacted Idea customer care, at around 8:00 am in the morning. I get a false commitment of a call back on my PP number, in the evening, which I didn’t receive. In the evening when I called again, I again get a false commitment of a callback, in the next day morning at 10:00am, which also I didn’t receive. At noon, after much discussion, with your Customer care executive PARUL, I received a Complaint# 99924719, again with an assurance, that my number will be activated, till 7:56pm. But the number didn’t activated, when I called up again, in idea customer care, the so called Floor manager of the call centre, Mr. MANOJ, committed that my number will be activated at 12:00pm midnight. And again it was a false commitment. I also, ask my friend to help them technically, as he is having more than 5 years of core technical, telephone experience, and is the responsible person of handling IN (Intelligent Network), of AIRTEL, and VODAFONE servers.
                                  Questions:
                                  My questions to you and to the Idea customer care representatives were:
                                  1. Why my number is being deactivated, and why I am getting this above mentioned message.
                                  2. What steps have been adopted, in order to resolve, my query.
                                  3. What extra benefits, I am having as a privileged customer, which other customers are not having.

                                  Losses:
                                  Till date, I have suffered a huge amount of losses. I am very close in losing my fiancée and my job, and am mentally disturb, due to harassment of Idea services. My job is also at stake.
                                  My marriage is due on 23-Nov-2010, and I have my number on each and every card printed for marriage, which is not working. On the auspicious occasion of KARWA CHAUTH, and being the first for my Fiancée, I was not able to communicate to her, and was busy in having a discussion with the idea care executives, in order to get my sim card activated.
                                  My manger has given me the final notice, as my job is also suffered due to it. Being the month end and year end closing activity in my company, I am not able to deliver the work assigned to me as I have no contact number with me. I can’t even think of my promotion, just because of Idea services.

                                  I am really frustrated, mentally disturb, and my complete life is ruined, just because my number is not activated, and the best part is that I am no where guilty, in the complete act. Nobody is ready to tell me where I am wrong. Am I wrong in adopting the idea services???

                                  I have an Idea Cellular mobile prepaid connection.
                                  I am using it since 5 August 2007.
                                  1. In January 2010 Idea has stopped my service because they were not able to see the documents that were provided at the time of connection.
                                  I submitted them to one of agent sent by Ides.
                                  2. After 2months they again stopped my service. This time they said that agent didn't submit the documents. I went to Idea head office and submitted the document to the Idea head office.
                                  3. After 2 months they stopped my services saying that I am not contactable and asking for documents again.
                                  Each time when I call customer care they blame that government changes the policy. I am not getting that what policy the government changes in every two months.
                                  I am pissed off with this service. I demand a serious action against such type of cellular services who doesn't take customer seriously.

                                  Recently I started getting idea offers in the form o[censored]nique texts. There were two clicks on the message 'ok' and 'exit'. Clicking ok automatically charges you for that service. This is so cheap and ridiculous. Is the company so desperate for money?
                                  While engaged in other work on mobile I got that text and accidentally clicked ok. So I was subscribed for some dialer tone and 27 Rs gone from my balance straight away.
                                  How can they charge anyone without taking further confirmation.
                                  So bad experience!

                                    I am using Idea Cellular Postpaid connection from 2 years now. I have purchased another postpaid number from Lajpat nagar office and its being more then 10 days and the number is not activated yet. When you call these people they don't answer the call or they turn there phone off. When you call Customer care, they always ask you to wait for 48-72 hours. I am still amazed with there response, that activating a number can take more then 10 days.

                                    Worst service I have ever seen in my life.

                                    EVERY TIME I RECHARGE MY NUMBER, THE AMOUNT IS DEDUCED WITH OUT ANY INFORMATION. WHENEVER I ASK ABOUT IT THEY TELL ME THAT YOUR HELLO TUNE IS ACTIVATED BECAUSE OF IT WE HAVE DEDUCTED YOUR AMOUNT .BUT I HAVE NEVER REQUESTED FOR IT.
                                    I HAVE ACTIVATED DON'T DISTURB ME FOR MY NUMBER, EVEN AFTER ACTIVATION THEY ARE STILL CALLING .

                                    I HAVE BEEN FACING THE SAME PROBLEM EVERY MONTH FROM LAST THREE MONTHS.

                                    WHEN EVER I CALL THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE THEY DO NOT RESPOND PROPERLY FOR THE PROBLEM AND TELL ME THAT IT WILL SOLVE IN NEXT 3 DAYS TIME AND DISCONNECT THE CALL OR JUST HANG ME UP JUST ANY INFORMATION FOR LONG HOURS...

                                    IS THIS THE WAY THEY ARE PROVIDING CUSTOMER SERVICE?????????

                                    AND THERE MOTTO IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION...

                                    I have logged for 'Do Not Disturb Servie'. They has given code for register the same but more than TWO days passes but it has been not stop distrubing callls

                                    sir i activated your gprs 20 plan but that time plan was not activated within 24 hours and the activation took place after 48 hours and my amount of 20 rs was deducted from account and after 5 hrs the plan got deactivated without using 24 hours of internet and from that time i am very dissatisfied with idea services and i didnt get amount of rs 20. its very shameles for idea

                                    I am using idea coorporate connection ([protected]) with 699(annual plan) since more than 2 years, i was using 99 GPRS plan but in Feb 2010 Idea has changed my GPRS plan in Rs.150 without any further intimation and permission, when i asked Customer Care they are saying this is company policy, when i say, i will escalte this to your senior manger than customer care executive (Level-2 guy) start laughing on my words in phone itself,
                                    So i want some solution for this, this type of behavior and service is not good for any idea customer.

                                    Sir,
                                    i am a customer on idea since it was spice before may be 4 years, running a small freelancing company from past 4 to 5 months i do not get maximum no. of call from my clients the reason was i am not reachable by when i call customer care they send a text saying over person will call you back with in 2 or 3 days, but never turned up

                                    and the latest thing was i lost my cell 6 months ago after which i changed my prepaid to postpaid after which i have not paid my bill in time because i dint receive my bill but when i as the idea store person they say every person can there ask the out standing amount and pay the bill is it the way to pay the bill

                                    last thing is i told the idea store person regarding the network issue at my place in the morning time, i was surprised because he told only for 2 streets in may locality there is no proper network at peak hours he cant help with it

                                    Its really very sad to know that the telecommunication giant Idea gives a fake timelines for Sims to get activate after providing complete required documents to their outlet.
                                    I have been using it just as a device for incoming & outgoing calls and am unable to avail any other service
                                    from their Customer service centres like dialing numbers '4444' or '12345' with a autoreply as
                                    "You have not submitted your documents hence you can not avail this services"

                                    Hi

                                    I am currently in Singapore and have a Idea no. Due to extended usage of some money it got disconnected 3 days back. 2 days back I paid the money and they said it will get connected in 1 hour. It has not happened. I send my wife to the idea customer office in Delhi and they are asking for passport copy etc. I have been travelling with this same no from last 1 year across different countries. They are not willing to listen or help at all. I am in a different country and my phone is not working though I have paid all dues. They do not reply to any mails send to there service centre email. If you call from singapore to there customer care they keep you on hold. I have spend more money trying to call there customer care than the actual bill value

                                    This is the worst service ever.

Beliving Tv Ads, I took Idea Network but the services is worst, Even though IThere is full signal in my mobile People who calling me from other sides telling me that they hearing my mobile is switched off...Regarding GPRS services,,,Idea need to that stop services,,,I lost lot of money on that... No use of it,,,, BAD,,WORST...Service Ever seen...Even Customer Care is not GOOD,,,,,

                                      I have made a online recharge from idea cellular website.And during this there was a transfer of cash from my account to idea cellular account no. [protected].

                                      but there is no talktime credited to my account.
