Hi,

My MTNL Landline phone is not working for last 3 months. I have given 100s of complaints on phone and emails. Still no response.
To add in the pain, they are sending continuos bills for the monthly rentals.

MTNL — Internet not working for the past 2 months

After complaining, the line man came to check and suggested wi-fi for speedy connectivity. We agreed.The line - man tried to install it but said that our laptop was not accepting a particular key. He then took our original modem where Internet was still working(although the speed was slow) and instead installed a new wi-fi modem. Now, we get internet connection for about half an hour in the entire day. We called up the customer care department "N" no. of times, they even assured us that they will be sending their men the very next day. But their so- called next day hasn't arrived as yet. Kindly look into the matter and do the needful.

      i have a mtnl line phone no 25373068 ...i have taken this connections as i wanted a internet connection... i have taken the internet on the 21 aug 2010 ... but the internet is not working properly from day 1 ..i have the the following grieveances with mtnl for the internet ...
      1} i had taken the internet connections for 749 unlimted plan where the download speed should be 752 kbps ...but the download speed that i recived was not more than 30-40 kbps ....i have raised a complaint from day 1 regarding the same ..which i was said will be looked into and the speed would be increased ...unfortunately i did not happen ..
      2} also the internet is not working from the last 3 weeks ...i have called numerous times to the technical support on 1504 and 198 ...i have also made call to Mr chudi and Mr singh who handle the dadlani park and balkum area in thane ....who said that they are going to send the engineer ..but every day for the intial 2 weeks the engineer would call and ask whether the link light is stable ...which is usually blinking ...when we inform the tech about the same ..he says that he will come and check ..but unfortunately o engineer has arrived till date ..
      3} for the past 2 days the internet comes for 5 mins and then the link light again starts to blink in the modem ...and i loose internet connections ..i have to reboot everything and still am not able to go online ..the link light is intermittent ..ie sometimes it is stable and sometimes its blinking ...

      hope that you will look into the matter and get the issue resolved as soon as possible ..

I am using MTNL broadband service from past time and now i am suffering from splitter problem(CPE) from the last 4 month AND phone poor. I have registered around 10-12 complaints but no response till now.We Koampalant quite Zayada not Karayawhi on Shhh on the t t and 2 of Week Zaydo t we have come to office on mtnl mtnl Yamuna Vihar, Block A meeting of the Area Manager not t.

        So this my humble request to help me to solve my problem.

          My MTNL telephone number is[protected].
          I got new connection on 17 Aug 2010. And from 25 Aug 2010, I registered a complaint that internet is not working but, I am soory no body is taking care of it. All seniors people are busy in office even they dont have time to pick the phone. I called them more than 200 times but still no response. Pls dont do that. we are your customer, pls serve us dont tease.
          Its very painful. Pls resolve my issue.

            Sir,

            Please refer to the above noted subject. The Landline Telephone no. [protected] is installed in the name of Smt. Sanjam Chima, D-II/70 Kaka Nagar, New Delhi.

            Since long the above said telephone is out of order and not at all working. Though the Bill has been raised for Rs. 992/- against this landline connection for Tri-band usage, wherein since long the internet connection cannot be used due to faulty telephone line.

            It is requested that the dues of Rs. 992.00 may kindly be waived off as there is no use of internet connection due to non-functioning of landline telephone line i.e.[protected] CA No. [protected]

            Further, it is requested that the above connection be rectified at the earliest enabling us to use the internet Tri-band connection and availing of the services.

            MTNL — Non-functional MTNL Triaband connection

            I am having MTNL 256 unlimited plan phone no. [protected], for the past 45 days my internet connection is not working sometimes it starts working but it is so frustratingly slow. The download speed is less than 1kbps whenever it's working. I have made numerous complaints on their toll free no. 1504 and everytime they register a complain and nothing happens. Last week when i was submitting an application to disconnect the connection these MTNL employees told me to wait for 1-2 days and they will look into the problem, but still there is no improvement. Sometimes their employees say that our internet will never work. This is so frustrating that i am forced to write this complaint. I am also submitting an application to refund my money in the MTNL department. I am not hopeful that any action will be taken but it is my duty to atleast warn the people about this useless company.

            MTNL Tri band — Poor Connectivity

            In spite of a compalint and change of modem, service on my number[protected] remains unsatisfactory. Worse, no one picks up the phone on 1504, MTNL's number for consumer complaints.

            MTNL Triband — faulty broadband connection

            Hi,

            I am very much satisfied with the services of MTNL.

            But my problems have considerably risen since I have got Wi fi internet connection.

            The problem is that my internet connection gets disconnected after certain interval of time.

            The service is really really bad between 5 pm to 11pm everyday.

            I made a complaint to 1504 ( Complaint nos 5707,5812,4185).

            All these complaints were regarding the same thing that I have mentioned above, but no steps were taken to rectify these.

            I do receive a call from MTNL guys , they do ask for internet connectivity, but to my dismay it worked at that time, and this way the complaint gets closed.

            But I am facing this repeatedly every day, it would be really grateful if You take this matter seriously and with utmost responsibility.

            I respect the designation and responsibilities bestowed on the shoulders of area manager, but this thing has irritated me a lot and catalysed my complaining procedure to write this mail to you.

            An early action is earnestly solicited.

            Plz take this on high priority.

            MTNL Triband — Poor Service in all respect

            My telephone No. is 28811942 I have took triband service of MTNL for approx. past 4 years & I have same problem now and then but now this is height of my tolerence. I have made several call on customer service no. they neither take the call. If they take call they just hang up the call or say please call to so and so number[protected], etc.) which is again unattended. I had made several complaints regarding speed of Triband that we possess but no one gives us proper guidance regarding the complaint. They just keep on going ignoring us. Last complaint no. that we have got is 1365 for which I am sure will be unattended.
            I suggest you file complaint under TELECOM CONSUMERS PROTECTION AND REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES REGULATIONS, 2007 with the NODAL OFFICER.

            If the Nodal Officer does resolve the issue within 10 days than file appeal with APPELLATE AUTHORITY.

            Triband — Tri Band never works

            I am using MTNL brodband named as triband for past two years but it never worked for me. I registered uncountable complaints at 1504 and even send few mails to area manager and General manager of my zone, inspite of this I am getting worst service from Mtnl.

            Right from the start I am facing same problem which is ADSL gets disconnected in between while I am downloading some thing or simply browsing websites

            MTNL Delhi 3G Speed is Too Slow

            I am using MTNL's 3G Data Plan on number [protected] with my Data Card, and i am not getting appropriate speed. My speed is around 0.3-0.5 Mbps at all times. I have been complaining MTNL but the issue has not been resolved yet.

              During the month of august 2010 my connection was closed for approx one week due to problem of my PC's harddisk. Also in sept 2010 due to RAM of my PC. During this period I also launched complaint for telephone connection.
              I do not use internet daily and mostly it uses to see emails orkut or some sites. Normally my bill is near and under Rs. 300/-.
              I dont understand how so many did get used in my account? Pl. send me my bills detail. So it could help me to control over my bill.
              Pl. check my last bills for uses of net.
              I have doubt that somebody mis use of my line.So please check it. Properly

              The bill against above had been through ECS for the past several years. Suddenly, the bill for August includes the unpaid bill of July, 2010 and does not mention about ECS.. Is the ECS facility discontinued? Is so why ? We have never requested to discontinue the ECS facility.

              In this regard, my personal complaint to Customer Care at Mankhurd remain unattended.

                  Hi,
                  I would like to inform you that MTNL is the most patetic service provider for internet. Telephone was ok, but their customer service or Internet website of mtnl is really BAD. So is their billing department for broadband. I have two complaints. First time I had to pay now this time I am not going to pay.

                  First time when i had applied for MTNL broadband service, i had opted for Mtnl night unlimited. My number is 24080263.
                  I had ordered over the phone few years ago. That time the bill used to come for two months together. When the first month Bill came, it showed that i was not on night unlimited but pay as per you go. I was charged for all the mbs consumed during the night. I fought with them. I was quite young, my mother had to take all the troubles by visiting their office every now and then. They dint do anything. At the end of the day, we had to pay. We disconnected the broadband immediately.
                  After few years, now in march 2010 they had introduced 495 combo plan. I had opted for this plan. But the speed was no good. So shifted to my normal cable operator in the month of may(somewhere on 15th may). So i requsted them to change to Rs. 49 - 200mb limit plan on 28th May 2010. The operator who took the request said that it will change on 1st of June 2010. I was using the internet accordingly till 1st June. When i opened the page on 1st June 2010, the plan was still on combo 495 UL, I dint get a call from them regarding the plan change, and the website - http://register.mtnl.net.in/ - showed i was on 495 Unlimited. I called the customer care, asked them when will it change. They said it will happen soon. I went on using MTNL whnever there was a downtime on my other internet. I used to call the customer care on a daily Basis and check the website. The plan dint change untill 10th of June 2010. I opened the website and checked my account, it showed the plan 49 plan and as per pro rata, they gave me 140 MB for the remaining month. I called customer care if it was the remaining balance. They confirmed that the plan has changed and yes i can use upto 140 MB.
                  Now I have no idea why the june months bill and july months bill came in the month of July. I got a call in July that there is an unpaid amount for previous bill. I was shocked to hear the amount. It was around Rs 5000. I was sure that again MTNL Broadband Dumb service has gone wrong somewhere. I waited for the bill. It came towards the end of july. It showed that broadband usage for the month of may - 3500 mb and then next months bill - broadband useage for june 2500 MB. I was shocked, since june 10th and as per website, i have used accordingly and have never crossed the usage limit. Infact i was so careful when it reached near 50mb left, i stopped using it. These DUMB MTNL BROADBAND AND ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT are saying that the plan changed to 200 MB limit on 29th May itself. So i was charged for those three days -29th to 31st of May and from 1st June to 10th June morning before the plan was changed. I approached them saying that it was confirmed and dint change on 29th. They made me visit different department- from accounts to technical engineer. None of them could resolve the Problem. They also made me talk to the head of SION MTNL. She couldnt resolve it either. She asked her assistant MR DUKREE to help me further. Mr. Dukree, Good for nothing, says that nothing can be done about it. You have to pay for those useage since you have used it. Another thing, Just for the information which even they corrected it now- I was charged for the entire month broadband MB useage for may month- where they agree that it was changed on 29th may. Wow they Make errors and they have their own story, in which itself they have made an error. I need my Line Back. I was happy with MTNL Telephone Line. I would never recommomend any one to go for such an unorganised Broadband service which shows something on website and customer care, and bill us according to their systems. I am Highly dissatisfied. I need a solution. My Line has been disconnected. Im not ready to pay for their Mistakes.
                  I am not rich either that i can pay this and continue. Im seriously disapointed that they are mugging poor and lower middle class people. All that Mr Dukre does is laugh and then doesnt help at all. I need raise a complaint against all these people.

                  I took MTNL post paid connection on November, 2005 Ph No.-[protected]

                  I recieve my last bill on 24 April 2009.
                  But till date i never received a single bill from company.I visited District Centre, Janak puri and EidGah MTNL Office 3 or 4 times but every time they assured me that they will send bill to my address. But i never received bill.

                  So kindly take appropriate action against it.

                  It is really shame that MTNL is looting its consumers like this. I had also opted for MTNL some months back but my experience was very sad too. If I had any problem with my net connection, they never responded properly. The customer service executives treated me as if they were doing a favor talking to me. Trusting on the company's name, I opted for an night unlimited plan. But just after one month o[censored]sage I had to change my connection because of faulty bills I was charged for no reason. Each time I logged in I made sure how much of connection I was actually using. I trusted on their website that provided me with all the details of how much mb I have used etc. but little did I know MTNL staff itself doesnt follow what is promised to their consumers! At end of the month, I got a bill of Rs.7000 for the mbs I didnt use at all. I complained to the office in my city, I was advised to pay the amount first and then they would seek into the problem. I was ready to pay only for the mbs I had used as per their website. I was very hurt by their treatment as a consumer. After this incident, I have decided NEVER to go for any government owned network providers because they neither provide you with good service nor provide you with fair rates!!!
                  Sir my telephone bill was rs 625 of telephone number[protected] amount rs 625 I sumbit it through online payment through net banking dated 9th January transaction ID S0002/TR024/[protected] but the payment DID not reflected in mtnl bill however it was deducted from my Axis account again I paid rs 625 same day ie 9th January amt 625transaction ID S0002/TR024/[protected] payment was successful & shown in mtnl bill also but the payment has been deducted two times I have not got the refund nor adjust in next bill please look in this matter my ID is

                    I am Panchanan Nayak, a consumer of mtnl broad band internet ( no.[protected] is suffering a lot due to poor connectivity of and very low speed of net connection. Kindly look into soon. Secondly my handset is giving a lot of sound without anything audible in the earphone after the last rain, please take needful action and at last the bill is never being dispatched at my address in time, which compel me to make my payment through net. It is requested to dispatch the bill in time as the paid bill helps me as a proof of my address.

                    I'm Amit Dabral (Ph no. 26890114, C No. [protected]) and took the broadband connection from July onwards and since then i have paid a lots of amount, i even dont know how they are calculating and all the time the charges are so high while i only use broadband even don't use their no. Even my plan is TriB COMBO UNLIMITED P (Rs. 599/-) and this time the bill of Sep 2010 is Rs. 1174/-. I really don't know who is there who gives trouble to everybody.

                    In July when i took this connection that time i paid

                    June 2010 Rs. 500
                    July 2010 Rs. 552/-
                    Aug 2010 Rs. 3077/- (while they say i paid Rs. 3007/-)
                    Sep 2010 Rs. 799/- and now the latest bill is
                    Oct 2010 Rs. 1174/-

                    I seriously don't know what is this?

                    Can you help us to sort out our this problems? is there anyone who can sort the probs?

                    this month also as i have changed my plan to TriB COMBO UNLIMITED P (Rs. 599/-) and again instead bill should be Rs. 674/- its now Rs. 1174/-. I don't know how you people are calculating and even if we call you in the bill department then the ph no.[protected] is always busy.

                    Kindly sort this problem otherwise i have to take the legal action because due to your negligence i am suffering.

                      I HAD PURCHASED A TRUMP SIM CARD FROM A STALL WHICH WAS PUT UP IN CHETANA COLLEGE , BANDRA (EAST) ON 23rd FEBURARY 2010.
                      I WAS GIVEN A SIM CARD NO. [protected] AND A 91 VALUE PACK AND WAS PROMISED THAT THE SERVICE WOULD RESUME THE NEXT DAY.
                      I MADE THE RECHARGE WITH THE COPUN OF 91 AND SMS COUPON ON Rs.30 WHICH I PURCHASED FROM THE SAME STALL.
                      ITS 5 DAYS DOWN THE LINE MY SIM CARD SERVICE IS NOT ACTIVATED. I CANT MAKE OR...

                      Ihave a landline connection of MTNL is[protected] on the address o[censored]-1/123, dharam enclave, prem nagar-II, kirari, new delhi-110086. I have already complained many times that my handset is not working. It has problem in ringer so that we not able to attend any incoming phone & also receiver has not able transmit our voice to other side. Second proble is My internet is not working between 7.00 hours to 20.00 hours. So that we are not able to any work. So, Please help us Or tell me the proccess that forward our complaint to higher authorities.

                        I am a subscriber to your Dolphin mobile services holding JEEVAN SAATHI plan, for the last five years. I have opted for billing option and have been paying my bills regularly since then. In the month of April 2010 I lost my mobileand have complained to your Customer Care No. immediately followed by a Police complaint. My Dolphin Mobile No. is [protected] requesting you to block my SIM card with immediate effect. All the relevant documentory evidence would be sent to your Office as soon as you let me know as to whom I am require to submitt the same.
                        However, I continued receiving you bill amounting to over Rs400/- and above regularly though I have not made a single outgoing calls since then. It therefore appears that the THIEF who happen to get my handset after I lost it in April 2010 are using my lost sim continuously inspite of my request to block the same, no action appears to have been taken in this regard by your offfice. As a result I am being sent regulr bills for the STD/LOCAL calls made by someone else. I therefore request you to kindly look into my billing records and catch hold of the culprit through the telephone no. on which the so called std call have been made.

                        mtnl dolphin — False unlimited FREE GPRS

                        MTNL GPRS 2 plan claims that it is unlimited surfing and download with rent of 98 Rs only But they have charged me 886 Rs. extra along with 98 rent.

                        Now they are claiming that plan has been changed and now unlimited has been reduced to 1 GB only.

                        I want to reconcile the billing.

                          I had kept my telephone & internet in safe custody from April 10, 2010 till 31st August,2010. I had also paid Rs.1000 as advance payment towards any bill for partial period. I do have an acknowledgement from MTNL. On my arrival home on 3rd September 2010, I was greeted with MTNL bills for the same period as if it has not been kept in safe custody. I checked the telephone and it was working normal which means that the action on safe custody was not taken. I went to cherai exchange with the bills and spoke with the customer service cell. They accepted the inaction but I was pleasently surprised that while I was waiting at the cell, my wife called me on the my cellphone and told me that the landline which was working upto now has been cut due to non payment of bills. Very efficient of the telephone department in covering up their errors.

                          The audacity of the department is that for the mistake they have done, they wanted me to give a written complaint and photocopies of the bills. Well, the service provider is uncrowned king [Government Deptt.] and I complied and took an acknowledgement again. With that they said that the line would start working. It did. But I received a call from the telephone exchange that I had not given an application to resume services after the safe custody period failing which the line would be cut again. Since, I needed this service, I went again to cherai exchange and submitted the application for resumption of services. I had to make 3 visits to the exchange from Patlipada which costs me Rs.50 one way and spent Rs.600/=. I am a senior citizen and I find it difficult to travel using the TMT. I thought my troubles were all over but they are not.

                          I went out of station on 11th September 2010 and returned to my home on 22nd September 2010 only to find that my telephone line has been cut for non payment of bills. Is it a joke???? No, it is a fact. Now I do not have any fresh bills. I have my money lying with MTNL as advance payment but my line gets cut !!!!! Thank you MTNL.

                          Hope the MTNL management studies this complaint and if they can rectify such lapses, the customer will have less stress and incovenience. Am I hoping for a miracle knowing a government organization ?

                            My broadband connection is not working from the first day of connection. I am not satisfied from my internet working. My ADSL line every time is Stable but then also i get download speed of 30 kps when contacted to customer care (1504) they told as per my 495 combo plan (i should get speed upto 80 to 100 kps) & when tested my modem speed from mtnl.net.in it shows max "250" actually it should be 320 kps.

                            I would request that u, go through my Problem i m currently facing as soon as possible My Address is neel kamal bldg, 2nd flr, room no.29, shivaji nagar, wagle estate, thane(W)- 400604

                              Hi I Amit Panchal residing in Bawana Delhi. I am a Dolphin Mobile User since 07 yrs. The dolphin mobile service is the best service of india because it provides all of its services on cheap rates. So no doubt abt its call rates but what will anybody do of the call rates when there is no network in the users area.One year before I was quite satisfied with its service. But since last year the user of this area facing many problems such as signals overlapping, call crossing, call disconnections & no network under roofs. These all problems happens only in Bawana Area. Otherwise its service is quite well every where. Because my home is here and my office is in pooth khurd just 3 k.m away from here but my mobile networks doesn't come in my area but in my office area it works well. But my house no.(dolphin mobile) doesn't work & i have to use another no. to contact there. For which i have to pay extra. So many time i think to change my service provider & want to use another mobile service. But i just wants to know the dolphin no. which were working very well before one year what happen now. If it is exchange fault or tower fault in my area. Then what is the procedure to put it in the dept.'s peoples mind that your service in this area is very poor.                                     The adsl light did not show up in my modem so the very next day I registered a complaint on 198 (their so called complaint number) 2 weeks passed nobody got back to me...so I called on 1504 & they told me if you have any problems then register on 198 & they hung up before i could tell them i already have done that. Later, I called again on 1504, this time insisting on sending a technician to check as it had been more than a month. No response.

                                    After one and half month I call again ( I am still paying the rental charges without any internet) they give me Mtnl's local telephone exchange number asking me to call them & 'request' them to visit. When i call that number, it says 'temporarily disconnected'!!!!

                                    I call on 1504 again & they give me another number. This time I* ask them why can't they call or send someone to which they reply 'Its not possible for us'

                                    Finally i get through the other number & the mtnl service center person replies 'we'll send someone today itself' I asked him to note the address to which he said 'we don't need that, we'll check with the registered complaints' & hung up the phone!

                                    They call up next day asking if internet is working fine...which we said no, they said 'ok' & hung up!!!

                                    Till date nobody has called or visited to check. I am discontinuing with the service. I would never ever recommend Mtnl broadband to anyone. It sucks!

                                      Dear Sir, Received a THREAT CUM WRONG bill dated 10.07.2010 of Rs 5,124.00, without checking details of an old connection Tel No[protected]landline/internet-broadband), which hardly used. The letter is threatning to treat as Defaulter in payment of Govt dues. We would like to say that we went personally and wrote more than 50 letters to MTNL in 2005-06 regarding the connection, but received no reply or response till date. Finally, we handed over telephoe instrument etc. and closed the case. And suddenly received this THREAT from MTNL. The letter has no address, just tel. No. only.
