I have booked a trip with them and they did not book the trip according to my requirement of transportation.
When questioned they asked me to buy my own tickets so that they can refund the same. I did that and the refund is not given till now and it was 20 days from the point I shared the invoice.When I called them their response was really bad...
I have emails that they have sent and I can share them with you If needed.

    Makemytrip India — Refund for the flight cancelled
    NN[protected] related to your refund
    DEL-KIN up and down on May 2nd 2017 i have cancelled on 28th march 2107
    Its been more than two months, i haven't received the refund yet.
    I have called makemytrip customer care many time they always ask me to wait, i have wrote emails also many times and there also they say to wait for 3 days and all and nothing happened. they reply with same email i have attached in docs

    I am still waiting for the refund!
    Dont know what to do whom to go and speak...

      We had booked two rooms in your resort at Kumbakgarh thru Make My Trip Booking Id. No.NH[protected] for 25-5-17.
      We had been given 2 rooms Nos.3301 and 3302 on 25-5-17.
      Our holiday and vacation mood was completely destroyed and we faced one problem after another till our checkout.
      1.)There were white insects in the drinking water jug put in room no 3302.
      2)water clogging was in the bathroom of room 3301.
      3)water leakage was below wash basin in room no 3302.
      4)friz was not working properly in room 3302.
      5)A C was not cooling fully.
      6)used plates etc were lying in the lobby for 2 days in spite of requesting to cleaning staff.
      7)Staff in general and at reception and cafeteria in particular was unresponsive, inefficient and careless to the requests of guests.
      We have lodged our complaint with Make my Trip on June 1, 2017 but till today we have not received any response from them.
      We are contemplating legal action and involving media including posting reviews on your and their websites to make the public aware of your bad services and unresponsive behavior.

        I am from delhi and booked a mumbai return flight for my spouse & myself sometimes back, however to my utter shock i found yesterday that the booking was made in reverse. Instead of del-mum-del it was showing mum-del-mum

        I am sure the bug is there in the application where in certain condition, such event got fired and wrong booking was made. I have been using the makemytrip sites for many years and have done several bookings in the past. This is simply not digestible to assume that i made a mistake of booking my travel in reverse order. I have had to cancel the booking and re-book the tickets but all this ate away my 10000 as cancellation cost. It is simply unfair to deduct such huge amount first of all when there's no rush in booking and booking day is far off. However another main issue is to check the bug of this kind which got activated in certain condition with certain device. I have a feeling i am paying for the mistake of yours. Kindly have it properly reviewed and refund my money in total as this kind of deduction is unfair.

          I had cancelled my hotel booking in agartala on 23rd june, 2017 (Makemytrip booking id nh[protected] with an amount of rs 21248. I had recieved a mail that this amount will reflect in my bank account within 4th july, 2017 but no such thing happened. I registered a complaint and when the customer care called they asked me to look up with my bank when it is written that when complaint is registered they will follow up with the bank.

          Please look into the case asap!

              Its been more than three months, i haven't received the refund yet.
              I have called makemytrip customer care many time they always ask me to wait, i have wrote emails also many times and there also they say to wait for 7 days and all and nothing happened.
              I had booked my tickets in april for air costa (Blr to amd on 18 may) and air costa the company stopped it services and the company was shut, and flight was cancelled.
              I am still waiting for the refund!
              Dont know what to do whom to go and speak.

                This is regarding my booking id mhs88304 at mysore. I would like to share that this is the most horrible experience i have faced. The owner did not answer my calls when i was trying to ask for directions. I had to search for almost 1 hour and after asking multiple people on road, i was able to reach the destination. When i reached, i faced the most rude, ill mannered person i havemet in my entire life. After ringing the doorbell many times, this pathetic person finally opened the door, handed over the keys and left for upstairs. Did not even greet. The room is pure filth, dirt everywhere, mismanaged. This is what we may for as a makemy trip customer. I am now taking to social media to share my experience with every one in india to ensure no one books this homestay and especially thru makemytrip.

                I have already shared all images.

                I need full refund of this booking. I can assure you that i will leave no stone unturned to get my money back which i am entitled to in this case.

                I am now raising a dispute through my bank as a first step. Next step will be going on social media. Next step will be consumer court proceedings.

                  We are a dubai based company booked 9 air tickets through make my trip, travelling from dubai to colombo for attending for a conference. We have checked with the airlines authority to reconfirm the ticket and they informed us you ticket has not booked by make my trip. We have scheduled our entire trip and hotels based on the flight ticket and make my trip call official is not giving any clear answer about our trip. Since morning we have been calling them for more than 30 times and make my trip official are not responding or giving any valid answer. Its a clear cut of cheating from make my trip. Kindly let me know how to proceed.

                    I booked bus tkr from [protected] mobile no.& makemytrip booking id: nu[protected]. I booked this for my wife, opted for single side berth in 2x1 sleeper coach from mumbai to indore. As per bus operator makemytrip seat layout was wrong & selected seat is actual showing at double occupancy side, i have shared screen shot with mmtp customer care. The day before journey when mmtp failed to solve my request i have to cancel the tkt & booked other one in high cost from paytm. Mmtp deducted 150 approx including late cancel charge, loyalty discount amt etc. & i ended up paying huge bus fare at last moment while booking tkt from other operator. Mmtp is accepting the issue over phone, i have records. But never revert the same on mail.

                      I have booked a hotel at portblair on 14/06/2017 nd paid rs. 25988 by debit card. My booking id. Was nh[protected]. I have cancelled the booking on 24/06/2017. Till date i have not received my money back even after several reminders. Please help me to get my money back. I have made several phone calls to the company. I have also registered my complaint with ministry of tourism no. Dtour/e/2017/00372.

                        Booking refer no : 1612B(S2591078 and IN 1607B4S1149754 ( booked on 9th JULY
                        Recently I have booked a family holiday to Singapore in Jan 2017 with 3 families together. Make my trip has not co-ordination with the visa team. Vias for Singapore was given few hours before the flight that also after repeated calls & SMS. The biggest mistake they have done was. My Mother age 67 years Visa was missing . We had Travel from Manipur all the way with a lots of Joy. All our programme turn into a flop one as my mother had to return back home from Kolkatta airport. She had never travel alone in Flight.
                        Make my trip never had pick our calls during that hours. All they said was they will look in the matter. It was a big expenditure for all o[censored]s. We spend more than 5 lakhs. No compansation was given. Even they dare to call us back. They deserve a big punishment. Such company should to closley monitored by Government agency about their false promises & selling dreeems which are not true. Anybody reading this article are requested to be causious about the deals . They have all false promises. Please read all complaints againts them. Nobody is there to solve any complaints.
                        Internet has become a route to do all suct business. Please hire local agency so that such complaints never arises. Atleast you can talk face to face if problem comes. Thanks

                          This is regarding my latest domestic flight booking made on the makemytrip app.

                          I have been charged Rs. 2, 000/- as convenienice fee for this transaction.

                          It is an exorbitant high amount almost the price of 1 ticket.

                          No other site or app charges so much.

                          Till now, everytime I have paid Rs.500/- as convenienice fee which is also quite high but I was unable to help it and hence continued using makemytrip.

                          But this time, makemytrip has actually cheated me with these charges of Rs. 2, 000/-.

                          Action needs to be taken against such companies who are ripping off innocent consumers.

                          P.S. This was before GST so that is not the reason. This was purely a rip off.

                          Greetings from MakeMyTrip!!

                          In reference to your complaint on consumercomplaints.in, please be advised that the convenience fee we charge for website maintenance which is per passenger per segment. This is not a hidden amount which we charge from customer. In this booking there are 5 passengers travelling from Mumbai to Dehradun and back so, convenience fee is charged as Inr 200/- per passenger. And total becomes Inr 2000/-.

                          As a one time service gesture, we are waiving off half of the amount i.e. Inr 1000/- from the total convenience fee of Inr 2000/- and processing refund to the original form of payment. The same should reflect in your account within 3-5 working days depending upon your bank processing cycle.

                            I had a cancellation booking of my flight booking form Delhi to Ranchi booking NF[protected]of amount appox Rs34000 cancelling date17 June 2017
                            but when after 20 days return amount bor credited to my desired account through which I made this booking
                            I called several time to their customer care but everytime they give different dates and they usually keep hold the phone call for long duration to provde the same reply

                            finally I had been told to have this amount back on 7th July but noting is credited

                            it seems that Make my trip holding my amount and harasing a lot to get it back
                            I had a talk with my bank also everyday basis but they told us that nothing is processed by MMT

                              This is regarding my booking id NC[protected]. I had booked car from Nainital to Delhi for 26th June a month in advance and also paid full amount. 2 days before the travel I received the chauffeur details, cab number everything. I was too happy as thought MMT is excellent. But I did not even in my wildest dreams expected the horror story that was awaiting. Just on the day of travel when I called the chauffeur, he informed that he is not aware of the duty. Then I kept calling the MMT customer service and at the end moment they said that the cab is cancelled apologies. THATS IT. Guys common this is not a JOKE. I was travelling with my elderly parents and a toddler and at this peak tourist season when all the hotels were booked where on earth do you think I could make a suden arrangement as had already checked out from the hotel. This is really PATHETIC and not expected from a reputed travel agency like MMT. I rate you ZERO for this service and for ruining my trip.

                                This is regarding the trip to singapore on may 21st. The service of make my trip was really pathetic. We did not get timely transfers from airport to hotels and vice versa. We had to wait at the aiport for at least 2 hrs to get a transfer to hotel that too after so many follow up calls.At the universal studio we had noone to drop us back inspite having waited for 1 hour and had to make our own arrangements most of the time. We have incurred an extra expenditure of 100 dollars just because of the careless and pathetic service of make my trip. I would definitely advise all my contacts to refrain from using your services henceforth

                                  Dear Sir,
                                  I have booked a hotel reservation of Hotel Mahadev Resort, Manali on 26th May, 2017 for the date of 15th and 16th June, 2017 by makemytrip.com. On 13th June in the evening I automatically got a message that my hotel booking is cancelled. But I have not cancelled the booking. I called to Hotelier ( Mr Pawan Thakur [protected] as per MMT Voucher ) but his phone was switch off. Then I talked to MMT customer care, they told me no need to worry, they will found solution within 24 hours. I also asked for IP addresses from which the booking was cancelled. Then from net I got number of Hotel, when I called to hotel manager, I was surprised. He told me that this year hotel hasn’t any tie-up with makemytrip.com. Hotel manager also told me that they had tie-up with Mr. Pawan Thakur last year but this year from April, they haven’t any tie-up either with Mr. Pawan Tahkur or with Makemytrip.com. I had no option. I was waiting for the solution by MMT side. But I have not received any solution even after 48 hours.
                                  I reached to Manali on 15th June morning. When I reached to Hotel Mahadev Resort, present manager Mr. Chitra Thakur ( Mobile [protected]) told me that they cannot give room to us. He also told to me that this year Hotel Mahadev hasn’t any tie-up with Mr. Pawan Thakur and makemytrip.com. (I also have audio conversation recording, written acceptance by manager as evidence of cheating ) . Then at end movement I had two options either spent night on road with family of booked another Hotel at very high cost, coz no other option was remain.
                                  On 16th afternoon I got a call from Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr, MMT Customer Delight Team. I explained all the matter to her. Also I shared audio conversation recording, written acceptance by manager as evidence with Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr. She told me that she will found a solution of this case.
                                  MMT ruined all my holidays and peace.
                                  After the unlimited massages, whatsapp chats, e-mail and around 10 hours conversation with MMT. I got this mail on 3rd July, 2017.
                                  “Dear Sir,
                                  Thank you for your cooperation & patience,
                                  With reference to your case, post checks done internally with my contracting team & hotelier informed us there is no such commitments made regarding no tie-up with MMT.If you are handy with any call recording do share the same as of now I have already informed the booking cancellation IP address did not belong to MMT hence please lodge an FIR at cybercrime cell for booking cancellation made externally from another party.
                                  Please note the booking is cancelled from IP added below
                                  Cancellation IP: "clientIp":"43.2 30.105.194"

                                  Response from Hotel/Contract team :-
                                  Had word with hotelier Pawan Sharma ([protected]).
                                  He has contract with MMT.
                                  Also we do not have any access to check that from where the booking got cancelled.

                                  I was surprised that I live in Kota, and IP provide by MMT belongs to Gurgaon. ( For your kind knowledge MMT corporate office also belongs to Gurgaon )
                                  When I tried to talk Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr, She didn’t received my call even after calling approx 50 times. After many conversation Ultimately she received the call and told me “Do whatever you want”.

                                  Note: Those who want to complained against MMT can share contact number to discus legal options against MMT.

                                    I have booked a hotel reservation of Hotel Mahadev Resort, Manali on 26th May, 2017 for the date of 15th and 16th June, 2017 by makemytrip.com. On 13th June in the evening I automatically got a message that my hotel booking is cancelled. But I have not cancelled the booking. I called to Hotelier ( Mr Pawan Thakur [protected] as per MMT Voucher ) but his phone was switch off. Then I talked to MMT customer care, they told me no need to worry, they will found solution within 24 hours. I also asked for IP addresses from which the booking was cancelled. Then from net I got number of Hotel, when I called to hotel manager, I was surprised. He told me that this year hotel hasn’t any tie-up with makemytrip.com. Hotel manager also told me that they had tie-up with Mr. Pawan Thakur last year but this year from April, they haven’t any tie-up either with Mr. Pawan Tahkur or with Makemytrip.com. I had no option. I was waiting for the solution by MMT side. But I have not received any solution even after 48 hours.
                                    I reached to Manali on 15th June morning. When I reached to Hotel Mahadev Resort, present manager Mr. Chitra Thakur ( Mobile [protected]) told me that they cannot give room to us. He also told to me that this year Hotel Mahadev hasn’t any tie-up with Mr. Pawan Thakur and makemytrip.com. (I also have audio conversation recording, written acceptance by manager as evidence of cheating ) . Then at end movement I had two options either spent night on road with family of booked another Hotel at very high cost, coz no other option was remain.
                                    On 16th afternoon I got a call from Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr, MMT Customer Delight Team. I explained all the matter to her. Also I shared audio conversation recording, written acceptance by manager as evidence with Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr. She told me that she will found a solution of this case.
                                    MMT ruined all my holidays and peace.
                                    After the unlimited massages, whatsapp chats, e-mail and around 10 hours conversation with MMT. I got this mail on 3rd July, 2017.
                                    “Dear Sir,
                                    Thank you for your cooperation & patience,
                                    With reference to your case, post checks done internally with my contracting team & hotelier informed us there is no such commitments made regarding no tie-up with MMT.If you are handy with any call recording do share the same as of now I have already informed the booking cancellation IP address did not belong to MMT hence please lodge an FIR at cybercrime cell for booking cancellation made externally from another party.
                                    Please note the booking is cancelled from IP added below
                                    Cancellation IP: "clientIp":"43.2 30.105.194"

                                    Response from Hotel/Contract team :-
                                    Had word with hotelier Pawan Sharma ([protected]).
                                    He has contract with MMT.
                                    Also we do not have any access to check that from where the booking got cancelled.

                                    I was surprised that I live in Kota, and IP provide by MMT belongs to Gurgaon. ( For your kind knowledge MMT corporate office also belongs to Gurgaon )

                                    When I tried to talk Ms. Melanie Ann Kerr, She didn’t received my call even after calling approx 50 times. After many attempt and request Ultimately she received the call and told me do whatever you want.

                                      My long planned trip to Kashmir from Hyderabad got ruined for around 3-4 days. But all other tourists with other guides didn't get disturbed much due to strike in Kashmir, as they planned proper travel times and visited all places safely.

                                      We did understood the situation in Kashmir and waited for couple of days whatever guide mentioned. Even after strike over and no problem for travelling, MMT guide(Vakeel Ahmed-Royal Tours) just refused to take us outside (just mentioned that its not safe to go out).
                                      We enquired outside and we booked a separate cab outside and visited placed safely. No issue observed like MMT guide mentioned.

                                      We clearly felt like there is no proper planning and negligence towards us during the trip. We already know the situation about Kashmir, we thought well organised/planned MMT guides will take care of the situations properly, but we felt like MMT just cashing the situation.

                                      For 3days completely we didn't roam anywhere and we were forced in hotel only and for rest of days completely as per MMT guides wish based on situation in Kashmir(not as planned).
                                      MMT charged total Rs.41, 707/- for 2 adults and 1 kid with Online booking from makemytrip website itself, I could see that in Royal Batoo hotel where we have forcefully provided accommodation costs around 2238/- per day. (lets say 2500/-) and 2 days in boat house (for that as well in worst case around 2500/-, even we faced powercut and forced to stay one more than planned). So I think, I can fairly assume that hotel bookings may not costed more than 15000/- for 6 days.
                                      And among 6 days we are lucky that MMT guide was able to take us out of hotel to Gulmarg one day and one day in kashmir. So for the remaining Rs.26000/-, forget about how bad we felt staying back in hotel, while tourists who booked from other travels enjoying, even if we divided 26000 for each day its around 4500/- .
                                      6 days hotel bookings -15000/-
                                      2 days guide+ shared van - 2*4500 = 9000/- (4500 way more than local one day cab+guide)
                                      airport pickup+drop + shikara ride (1hr) on high end= 4000/-

                                      So forget about how bad experience that we got and the pain we went through, on a fair note, we expect[protected]+9000+4000) = 13000/- atleast in return. But even after multiple queries MMT is not responding.

                                      The main reason for booking holiday package with MMT, rather than with any other local guides is that MMT will maintain high standards with respect to customer satisfaction. Please help me in getting refund for our hard earned money.

                                        Done a confirmed booking on MakeMyTrip on the 30th of June 2017, and received a cancellation mail on the 1st of July 2017 i.e 24 hours later after the booking was made.

                                        When I contacted MakeMyTrip, they told me the following -

                                        "We wish to inform you that the booking was failed due to some techinal issue however full refund was processed in the same gift card, requests you to please try again with new booking"

                                        Whereas I have not received any refund until date. When contacted them once again today, they stated that -

                                        "We wish to inform you that Booking ID "NH[protected]" stands cancelled as the Terms and Conditions o[censored]sing the FlipKart voucher has not been adhered. Please refer below T&C's for better clarification. For any further query on voucher T&C's, please contact FlipKart customer support."

                                        NOTE : FlipKart issued these MakeMyTrip gift cards during the BIG10 sale and MakeMyTrip made successful bookings and issued booking vouchers too, before they left their customers stranded and cancelled all bookings done with the MakeMyTrip gift cards issued by FlipKart for every eligible orders placed during their BIG10 sale .
