I book a trip from makemytrip to sikkim for 7 days 6 nights.
My trip was start from 18 may and end at 24 may 2017. Standard hotel check in time is 12:00 pm to next day 12:00 pm.

My flight start time is 3 pm means my hotel check in time at gangtok is approx between 8:00-9:00 pm my whole day is wasted.

Also they schedule my return flight at 5 pm means i have to check out from hotel approx between 1 or 2 pm. For just 1 or 2 hours they charges me for hotel room. Also my whole day is wasted.

Means my 2 days are wasted. Instead of 7 days my trip is of 5 days.
They fooling peoples by saying 7 days trip and count full days as a trip day even you stay in hotel for a single hour.

I do a complaint regarding this to there customer support but not give any satisfactory resolution.

I need to refund 2 days hotel room amount.
MakeMyTrip India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
Worst site to make any bookings pls friends don't make any bookings from this site they are just making fool of all.After making bookings in case anyone wants to change dates they are going to charge heavy amounts or penalty that even Airlines company or Any hotel don't charges if you book directly..

    I have been booking with MakeMyTrip for years now. I wanted to book hotel in Goa. After browsing for some under my budget I was booking for a hotel named "RESORT RIO, GOA". The prices shown at the time I was booking was Rs. 2487/-. I booked one room first and happen to pay Rs.6000+ including tax. Now I was booking one more room in same and the prices shot upto Rs.12000 odd. I asked a couple of friends to look into the booking and they were able to see the cost to be around Rs.3000 odd. I was supposed to complete the booking for 2 rooms for 4 people. But MMT cancelled the booking.
    I took on to twitter to complain about their response to me. They called and said 1 room is booked and the other one cant be done as the prices are not same as they called me after 2 days. I said ok fine then why did you people call? They called to resolve nothing so I cut the call. They called me back and asked me to make the booking for new room in same resort and they would be refunding the extra amount paid through my card. i.e, whatever is paid over Rs.6000 would be refunded. I booked the room and it was costing Rs.15000/-. They ping me saying they can only refund Rs.6000/- which was pathetic. They were contradicting themselves. So now I have asked them to cancel both. And resulting in booking through some other website.

      I have attached two documents with this mail. First one is what was promised as per cancellation charge and second what is being deducted after cancellation. Rs 4000 extra is being charged here.
      I am trying to connect with them but no one is repsonding on their customer care numbers. Please let me know of such details. I would request to please look into this issue and let me know what can be done.

        Hello,

        I booked following room for today and tomorrow night. While on the way to Ooty now I called their number to verify. They told that this hotel is closed for renovations. I am with my wife and kid, do you people have any sense what we are facing. I had made hefty payment of nearly 10k. Also you people have called them to verify if it is open and yet you have not informed me. Is this professional? I called you call center it will not connect at all!!

        Later i was able to contact call center and got the refund, but i was told to submit the hotel booking bills where i and my family had to stay at the last minute booking through some other channel. I was told this will be reimbursed. But i am made promises but no refund. Please find below photos of hotel bills and other communication on reimbursement.

          I tried booking ticket through MMTApp and making payment through gift card of MMT. But it sounds strange that they are charging convenience fee on making payment through their own gift card. I can understand if it would have been credit card of some bank. But charging convenience fee on their own gift card is highly unacceptable.
          Please look into it.

            On 26/02/2017 i had booked two tickets from delhi to mumbai for mr. Kishorkumar sheshappa suvarna and mr. Sunil ramchandra daspute through make my trip.com. It was air india flight and i paid by rupay card. Within a second the amount was transfered to their account. Somehow i had to postpone my work and cancel the ticket. I put request for cancellation. The cancellation was sucessful.
            They gave me the cancellation id : nf[protected]

            They mailed me the account as follows:

            Total price...... 16338
            Total airline penalty...... 4000
            Total make my trip service fee... 600
            Total convenience fee...... 450
            Refund amount...... 11288

            It was also mentioned they require 3 days time to make the refund.

            But they did not make refund in three days time. On talking to their support team they said because i have used rupay card they require 21 working days. I kept waiting for 21 working days. I kept on talking to their suport team on various days. Different boy or girl came on the line and asked for 72 hours or 12 hours or 36 hours and so on... To resolve the problem. They also said there is some technical problem in payment gateway and the issue is referred to some higher ups,... And so on... I had asked them "while receiving our payment you take it in 1 second even though it is a rupay card. Why all these excuses in making the refund?" they asked me to share my copy of account with bank to verify whether the refund is already credited to my account. On 12/04/2017, i mailed my bank account copy to them. The funniest part is the so called experts who come on the line have no access to the accounts dept at all. They are trained to talk nicely and politely. On several occasion i requested the so called experts to talk to my bank manager or make me talk to their accounts department for which they are not agreeing. They have a peculier system of working which creates hurdle for customers and not solve the problems.
            Till date my problem is not resolved and i have not received my refund.
            I have recorded all the conversations with their representatives and saved all the mails, which i am ready to share with you in case of need.
            I would be greatly obliged if you help solve my problem.

            Further, in reference to your complaint, while validating your issue we have found that, the booking was cancelled on 26-Feb-17 and on the same day a refund of Inr 11288/- has been initiated from our end towards the original mode of payment. As checked the said refund amount is still not reflecting in your account for which, you have contacted our call center and also provided your bank statement. Our team has checked with the payment gateway (CCAVENUE) and as per their revert, refund has already been processed with bank. They have asked to check with your bank with Refund Reference Number#[protected] and Authorization code: 200000000000000000000302828346 as the same is pending from Bank’s end to reflect the refunded amount in your account.

              In december when i was in mangalore, mmt charged my uncles account for 3 times (eg: amount of two tivkets was around 1450 but mmt charged 1450x3 from my uncles account). It charged 1450 in two way half half. It only returned my one amount and has denied to pay me my full amount. I have the detail with me in my passbook as proof, so please sue this company for vharging so much of money from a middle class man account. Thia money is our hardwork and they take it with ease. All I want is to show MMT the power of a common man. Because this might not have been just for there could be many facing such problems but because lack of knowledge they might not be able to raise their voice. Even it took me months to find a solution as a student. So consumer law please take serious action asap.

                Ever worst service experienced with mmt.. My vocation got canceled cos of mmt.. Initially u get a message and later bus is canceled woooow.. I got the refund but how about the hotel bookings made through mmt.. Who is responsible for my loss.. The response was u cud have booked an different bus.. Faced issue with the hotel booking as well.. Stupid app some crap when i selected 2 members instead got the voucher with one.. Later multiple times called but like as usual no help..                 We are sorry to read about the issue, In reference to your complaint regarding the refund for hotel booking. Please note that you booked bus ticket separately. However we always mention in the vouchers it’s all depends upon the vendor but as you mentioned that you have received the refund for bus booking. We always give the option to travel you could have travelled with any other mode of transport. But as it’s clearly mentioned in the hotel voucher that our booking was completely Non-refundable, we also tried with hotelier if he can give us the full refund or partial refund for booking.
                But hotelier denied for the same, hence we humbly regret that no refund is possible for booking.

                  Dear Sir /Ma’am

                  I have booked a Swiss Paris Delight tour (Booking ID: IN1702B1S3251445) sponsored by OPPO Mobiles - scheduled to start on 4th of March 2017. During my prebooking interaction at makemytrip office with Mr Karan representing makemytrip at Sector 8, Chandigarh assured me that things will work out smoothly and all visa support/help will be provided by makemytrip. Assured by makemytrip representative promises I paid advance to totalling INR 124250 makemytrip in two parts vide INR 62000 on 9th Feb and 62250 on 13th Feb. Furthermore I presented and submitted all documents to Mr Karan as per his instructions. First my application for visa was submitted to French Embassy –online appointment was gained for 14/02/2017 and then I was asked by Mr. Karan (for reasons best known to him) not to appear for the same and instead insisted on applying to Swiss Embassy for Schengen visa and therefore I appeared for visa interview with Swiss Embassy on 21stFebruary 2017. Subsequently on 27th Feb 2017 got a communication from Swiss Embassy that my visa application has been rejected and I communicated the same immediately to Mr Karan.
                  As I have applied for visa and subsequently it was rejected, and promptly communicated and did not avail of any services of makemytrip. I request you to kindly refund the entire amount paid vide the above two tranches so that I do not suffer for no fault of mine. I have request many times to makemytrip for refund the amount but there is no response. This is a clear cheating /fraud.

                  2. Is Mr. Bikram your authorized representative of make my trip or not- He is the part of the Chandigarh franchise team.
                  3. If Mr Karan who handled my case from sector 8 office is not your employee/ representative kindly share the contact details of the person who handled my case as per your official records. – Karan & Bikram belongs to Chandigarh franchise team who has assisted you on this booking.
                  4. As Mr Karan who according to you do not exist has acted and made commitments on your behalf - from your office introduced me to others Mr Bikram etc. what actions are you contemplating against this. As mentioned above Mr. Karan & Bikram belongs to Chandigarh franchisee team who has assisted you in confirming this booking on 09th Feb based on the customer acceptance on the booking form [Refer attachment] which highlights the respective cancellation charges. No error at MMT end or the Franchisee end.

                  We have already share the complete details and day wise synopsis and proceeding on your concern, hence based on the accepted cancellation charges by the customer on the booking form and as per the case facts we once again humbly deny your claim for processing refund.

                  Kindly treat this e-mail as a final stand from our side on this issue.

                    I have a booking from Chennai to Surabaya through MakeMyTrip for one of the my client. I opted to change of travel date in the ticket as per my vlient requist. They are charging service charge of postponing the ticket + MakeMyTrip charge + ticket fair difference and penalty also. I spent so much effort in changing. All charges huiden while booking time. Ehen you change the date for travel or canceked then mak my trip add more charges then direct airways. So dont try any one. You get the fare fron my maje my trip then you try to book directly airways website..
                    Please do not go for makemytrip for booking any tickets. It sucks !

                      As we discussed on same case that you made booking with child but as per voucher it is not showing and hotelier is asking for extra amount of 1500 rs.

                      As of now we are unable to check the booking logs so i would like to inform you that kindly pay the extra amount and take the invoice of that if there is any issue from make my trip end so we will refund the extra amount paid by you the chid stay.

                        I had booked a hotel on behalf of my brother and some of his friends for his stay in Switzerland. But upon reaching the hotel, they were shocked to find out that the booking was non existent, in fact the hotel hadn't had any contact with make my trip. Furious my brother himself called make my trip bearing the international costs but was put on hold as soon as he reached through to an executive. Now, he contacted me and asked me to look into it. I called MMT's helpline but like my brother was put on hold after they listened to my grievances. They said we'll look into the issue and put the call on hold. After an hour of no response I disconnected and informed my brother to look into other hotels. Now, my brother had a pregnant couple with him and they all had to wait without a hotel while my brother looked for alternatives.
                        MMT only contacted us after 3-4 hours until which my brother had found another hotel. Now, when I contacted MMT they simply messaged me that we will give you 10, 000 rupees, that is it. They didn't even compliment me with a phone call. I mean an incident of this level warrants a proper apology and after the type of customer care they provided, a proper compensation.

                        I am posting my query here so that this does not happen to anyone especially in a volatile environment like a foreign country.

                          Hi.. my Booking ID - NF[protected]
                          indigo airlines flight from Trivandrum to Bangalore was modified from 5th may 2017 to 15th may 2017 on 26th Apr 2017. I paid the fare difference of ₹1518 and after all the transaction was done I was supposed to receive modified ticket, which did not happen. I called up the customer care to enquire about this, on the same night. They told me it takes 24 hours to get the confirmed tickets. I waited for next 5 days and called them again. Now they are telling me I need to pay the fare difference again to get the confirmed tickets which I refused. They can see my payments made on Apr 26th 2017 for both booking and later for modification but for some reason their system has not confirmed the tickets. I am seeking your help to raise this as cheating customers.

                          Dear travelers don't try booking make my trip overseas domestic air tickets. He will add over hiden charges while cancel or date changes etc.. ifor you booking this website then not possible book direct airways. He added over cost than airways.

                            On 30th 4.30 PMI had made online tickets from Bhubaneswar to Delhi and return. Inadvertently instead of 5th May, 2017 from Bhubaneswar I made it on 10th and instead of 10th from Delhi I made it on 5th. So for reversing the tickets I paid Rs.5, 207/- as the differential amount and the portal message said the new tickets will be sent to be in some time. After waiting for sometime when the tickets were not received on my mail I called the MMT call center. The call center executive said since he cannot make the modifications due to technical problems he would transfer my call to the Indigo directly with whom I can sort out the problem. I insisted that since I have already paid to MMT the difference amount for rescheduling the onus is on MMT to sort it out with Indigo instead of transferring me to Indigo. But the executive was adamant to transfer my call so I yielded. When I spoke to the Indigo Call center they said they can help me with rescheduling only one ticket i.e Delhi to Bhubaneswar because there is no other ticket which in appearing on the PNR bearing No.U9MNPS. When I inquired about the ticket for Bhubaneswar to Delhi for which I had already paid completely and even the rescheduling fee, Indigo said there is no other ticket appearing on the PNR and I have to sort that out with the MMT. Indigo however rescheduled my flight to 10th for Del to BBS without any extra charges. When I again called to the MMT find out about the ticket from BBS to Del, they (one Mr. Gaurav) admitted that because of technical reasons my BBS to DEL flight ticket got cancelled however they will sort out the problem within 24 hrs and issue me a fresh ticket for 5th in the BBS to DEL sector. When I did not get any calls till 11.00 am on 1st May, 2017, I called again to MMT and narrated my story yet again for almost 1/2 hr. The executive (Ms. Ranjeeta) told me she has marked my cause as urgent for which i will receive a call from MMT by evening but however did not give me a guarantee of issuance of a fresh ticket for 5th in the BBS to DEL sector this time. Now I am in a limbo whether to book a fresh ticket or wait for their revert. With each passing minute the flight charges are getting escalated and moreover I have a MEDICAL EMERGENCY TO REACH DELHI ON 5TH OF MAY. Who has to bear the burnt of escalated charges, the Consumer for no fault of his? How have to be such highhanded and insolent attitude of the companies be handled for which the consumer alone is the sufferer especially with respect to such essential services.

                              I had a flight ticket (Pnr-w8379m) booked on makemytrip for the date 9th april 2017 to travel from kolkata to bangalore by a spicejet flight. Spicejet rescheduled the flight from 6:55 am to 6:05 am but i did not receive any communication on that from spicejet and makemytrip gave me wrong information by sms and email stating flight timing is 6:55 am. Because of the wrong information provided i missed my flight. After talking to makemytrip they agreed to pay me in the installments of 5060/-, 192/-, 3097/- and 666/- (This 666/- was supposed to be paid by spicejet to makemytrip as no show). I have received the payment of 5060/- from makemytrip but i have not received any payments of 192/-, 3097/- and 666/- from makemytrip. Though i have mailed multiple times no response is received on this. Manoj manshani of makemytrip and along with his supervisor ramakrishnan was looking into my issue and now i dont receive any response from them on it. Please look into the issue.

                                I have booked a ticket with make my trip. My booking ID is NN[protected] and complaint Reference ID:[[protected]]. Make my trip booked wrong dates for my travel. Now, I am being charged extra on a refundable ticket to change my travel dates/ cancel my ticket. I am being continuously misled by the customer care and their supervisors. Each time I call, the representatives tell me a different amount that I need to pay to change the travel dates. Moreover, they fail to give me the break up of the amount they are charging.

                                I have talked to the customer care at least ten times. Mr Manorajan, Ms Swagata and their Supervisor Mr Nikhil Agarwal fail to give me sufficient information and are asking me to pay extra amount on a refundable ticket to cancel or change the travel dates.

                                  Even though the flight is cancelled by the airline no refund is credited to my account till date and make my trip website is showing my booking in the cancelled section with the refund status shown initiated for the past 8 months.
                                  I request air pegasus / make my trip to credit my full amount along with all charges.

                                      I had booked two rooms at makemytrip (Mmt) for my trip to hongkong for 22nd and 23rd april. The booking id for the two rooms are nh[protected] and nh[protected]. The name of teh hotel is cosmo hotel. I had made the booking well in advance and paid the amount in full with confirmation recieved from makemytrip.

                                      Makemytrip proudly boasts in it's booking confirmation that once the booking has been made and payment recieved the customer need not confirm the booking again either by calling the hotel or makemytrip. However when i reached the hotel in hongkong the hotel staff told me that they can't allow me to check-in because makemytrip hasn't made the payment to the hotel.
                                      This is the case when i had made the booking well in time about 2-3 weeks ago. I made my first call to mmt around 6:15 am ist, but what happened after that is absolutely pathetic. The customer care asked me to be on hold and didn't turn up for about half an hour and this was the case everytime i called them.

                                      The worst part is that i made them my first call at around 6:15 am ist but they resolved the matter around 1:15 pm ist. From 6:15 to 1:15 i kept on calling them again and again but the customer service couldn't provide a solution. I even wrote them a mail but they couldn't resolve my problem either. The complaint id mmt gave me was[protected].

                                      Then after waiting at the hotel reception in hongkong for about two hours the hotel asked me to pay 400 usd as a security deposit because mmt did not make them the payment and this is the case when the hotel again and again reminded mmt to make the payment.

                                      My trip is a business trip and i had prebooked my entire trip well in time. As a result of this i wasn't carrying much cash but when the hotel asked me to pay the security deposit in cash i had to literally arrange for the cash from my sources there which landed me in a embarassing situation. Also i had to attend hktdc business fair starting at 9:30 am hongkong time. Because of this entire incident i had to miss out on my precious meeting in hongkong fair.
                                      Also i spent a lot on making special number calls to mmt customer service care where they asked me to be on hold for as long as 25-30 mins.

                                      I have missed out a key aspect of my business trip due to this entire incident. Also mmt is making false claims to customers that they need not confirm their booking once they've made the boking and paid the due amount.

                                      I demand compesation and i'll repeat again that i demand compensation. I had to face a lot embarassment in front of my other business colleagues due to this entire incident. The loss of my precious time and also the meeting missed has costed a lot in monetary terms. The calls i made to the customer care would have only costed me enough because all the calls were paid on special numbers. I demand full compensation of inr 1.25 lacs from mmt.

                                        I used to be a regular customer of Make My Trip for the past 4 years. But recently I had booked a ticket for my Hubby's travel to Dubai.Three days before the schedule, I got a call from MMT number and told me that there was some banking problem and my money could not be transferred to airline. He said booking has to be done with in 2hrs .I asked him to send a mail from Make My Trip office soon got a request from Make My Trip id. I transfered Rs 50000 /-and then shared the UTR number in the mail id from MMT. I got back a mail saying that it was a fake call, but by that time, money was sent from bank . I did nt know what to do, called the officials of MMT, but theyadvised me to "solve it from my end." I sent mail and it is one and a half months, I have never received any reply from Make my Trip till date. But I managed to solve the problem on my own, with the help of good officers in Federal Bank, Kundara and Punjab National Bank. I feel that it is some staff in MMT, who did this fraudulent act, anyways, an utterly irresponsible company. Don't rely on them!
