Hello CC,

We have booked an OYO Property between 23rd-26th Dec 2022, where the said amount was to be paid 1700 INR. We ended up paying 3000 INR at the reception, as we reached the place late night, and we had no other place or option left., After multiples calls and emails to OYO Customer Care, with transaction proof, refund was approved and we were assured that the refund of 1300 INR has been initiated through NEFT, and should reflect in our account within 7-14 Working Days. Been a month now, and we are still awaiting for the refund. Requesting your attention on the same, hoping to get the same sorted at the earliest.

Nothing has been worked, as you have been committed and assured four times that the payment will be reversed thrice through NEFT, and nothing has been achieved. Yesterday, got a call from you and was on hold for approx 5-10 mins stating details are being checked, and as expected, call was disconnected, with no attempt of calling me back again..

      I have booked hotel rooms in GOA at Hotel Joaquim from 20th Jan to 23rd Jan. Have also paid booking amount. I have asked the the OYO Costumer Care to provide the contact number of the hotel staff but the OYO CC did not respond to my request.

      We were going the accommodate rooms at 3 to 4 p.m. on 20th Jan. I got call from No. [protected] informing that he the manager of the Hotel Joaquim and needs to confirm the booking stay hence he asked to pay Rs. 7161 two times. There was no reason for doubt about the person since he shared me the message of OYO having booking ID. Check-in Dates, check out dates etc which a hotel will need to verify. After payment he confirmed the rooms number.

      When we reached the hotel, the staff informed that no such payment is received from us. Hence we would have to pay balance amount again. Moreover the staff accepted the payment through Phone Pay other that through OYO App. Hence I doubt that either of the staff member had fraudulently got the earlier two amounts credited in his account.

        It's been over a month since I cancelled my booking and requested for a refund. I have been calling customer care every now any then. I had my booking for 30th dec 2022 to 1st Jan 2023. I had received partial refund even after calling so many times. Booking ID- GGFI0557.

        The reason for cancellation was that i was transferred to some other hotel without being asked to me.

        Kindly look into this and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

            I had booked a hotel from oyo web but by mistake it was booked very far from my current location so i dialed oyo CUSTOMER CARE and asked the solution for the same they said they cant modify my booking they can cancel the booking and initiate refund and book another hotel near me so i agreed with this option but now after two days they are denying for refund and said that we cant initiate refund. i dont have money to gift oyo, oyo only gave me the option for refund i choosed that and now they are lying that we cant refund its against are policy.

            even oyo service team lies they said that sir u visited there and u checked out and told that u checked in at 2:00pm and check out at 5:00 pm but a MAGIC happened i booked that hotel at 6:48pm wow very nice..

                I have booked a room from the oyo application today at 10.24 pm from 25 to 29 They payment was deducted from my account but the room was not booked. The oyo application has not showing anything regarding my booking. The customer care also not able to help me out. Transaction id[protected]

                      Hello,

                      I have booked a room with booking id: AD0Z3160. I have booked room through Oyo Customer Agent, he had finalized a deal and asked me to pay 642 rupees at hotel after applying some discount and dedicating ola money I have. After reaching hotel they didn't agree to provide us the room untill I pay extra amount. They charged 2100 rupees. I have escalated this through mail immediately to oyo couple of times. First time they rejected the refund, second time they mailed like refund is initiated but a month is completed till date I didn't received any refund.

                          The hotel has not accepted the check-in and refund was initiated, but we haven't got any refund amount, multiple refund intitated in a period of one and half month, later we got a mail refund amount of Rs:9266 is successful with bank reference number- is[protected], we have checked with the kotak bank after 7-14 days as mentioned for which it has intitated, but their isn't any transaction with that reference number .Whom do we trust on and what should be done to get the refund.

                            OYO system (OYO HARASSMENT system):
                            1. Give confirmation of hotel room booking. But when the customers reach the property, there is no rooms booked due to no agreement between property owner and OYO.
                            2. OYO will cancel the booking and initiate the refund.
                            3. When OYO initiate refund, they don't know that it is going to fail as customer has done the booking from booking.com or some other website.
                            4. Customer only has to contact OYO to check refund status only to know that the refund is failed. (14 days gone)
                            5. OYO will ask customer's bank details to refund. Again OYO will tell customers that the refund will be done in 7 to 14 days.
                            6. No refund will happen after 14 days. (Again 14 days gone)
                            7. Steps 3, 4, 5 and 6 will keep on repeating.

                            It is a OYO HARASSMENT system.
                            I did the hotel booking in booking.com. Don't know how OYO come into picture?
                            I did the 50% payment and my booking was confirmed from 24th Dec to 26th Dec 2022.
                            When we reached the property on 24th Dec 2022, the property manager denied us the booked room.
                            OYO is listing the rooms with low cost on booking.com on behalf of property owner.
                            The property owner said that they were in disagreement with OYO regarding the low rates and couldn't provide the rooms.
                            The property owner asked me to contact OYO for this concern.
                            As we travelled by car for 12 hours and very tired, so we didn't have any choice but to look for some other property nearby.
                            OYO said that they will cancel the booking and refund the advance paid at the time of booking in 7 to 14 days.
                            Till 31st Dec 2022 the money wasn't refunded to my credit card account which I used for payment.
                            I called OYO on 31st Dec 2022 and they told me that there is some technical issue and due to that the payment is not refunded.
                            Please note here that OYO didn't contact me immediately after the refund failure.
                            I came to know only when I called them to check on the refund status.
                            Now, OYO asked me my bank account details to deposit the refund amount.
                            OYO again told me that it would take 7 to 14 days to transfer the amount in my bank account.
                            I provided my bank account details and OYO said that they have initiated the refund again.
                            Later I called OYO 2-3 times to check the refund status. The refund was supposed to be credited in my bank account latest by 14th Jan 2023, but that didn't happen.
                            I again contacted OYO. OYO said that it is escalated to its "refund team" and they will revert back in 24 to 48 hours.
                            OYO "refund team" didn't revert back. I again contacted them by email but didn't receive any response.
                            On 19th Jan 2023, I again called OYO on phone no. +[protected]. I got the IVR message that my booking was cancelled and refund would be done as per the policy.
                            There wasn't any option to connect with OYO customer support executive on this phone number which was possible earlier.
                            I got another OYO phone number [protected] from Google search.
                            It has only 2 option, 1 for new booking and 2 for existing booking.
                            "Option 2 Existing booking" was giving message that I didn't have any booking.
                            I tried "Option 1 New booking". Luckily the OYO person has access to check my booking.
                            The person told me that the refund was still in "INITIATED" state and needed to move to "CONFIRMED" state.
                            He did it and told me that it would be refunded in next 2 hours.
                            Please note here that from 31st Dec 2022 till 19th Jan 2023, the refund status was still "INITIATED".
                            The status was "INITIATED" even after multiple follow ups from my side.
                            To my surprise the refund wasn't done.
                            On 20th Jan 2023, I again called on phone number [protected]. The OYO person wanted to discuss about it with her Manager in OYO. She kept me on hold for 15 minutes and the call got disconnected.
                            After 2.5 hours I got call from OYO and the OYO person told me the same story that I heard on 31st Dec 2022.
                            So it was back to square one.
                            I came to know that as I did booking from booking.com, OYO is unable to refund to my credit card account. This is BIG discrepancy OYO system has.
                            With this inability how come OYO is allowed to receive payments on somebody else's behalf??
                            The OYO person again asked me my bank details for refund transfer and told me that it would be done in 7 to 14 days.
                            He told me that he didn't has any option in OYO system to do the refund immediately.
                            Also he wasn't able to escalate it to OYO authority who can do it immediately.
                            -
                            So OYO system is:

                              My Booking ID: MGJK9256.Booked for 4 nights and initial amount paid) Rs.2305 on 03/11/2022 at 9.20 AM from my HDFC Credit card. At the Hotel I paid Rs.4283 on 23/11/2022 at 10.18AM from my ICICI Bank account. During stay OYO cancelled the booking and they said to me to vacant immediately. I called OYO Customer care, they said that booking cancelled we will refund your full amount Rs.6588.I vacated the room and refund not received, recently after so many tries, 'sm.[protected]@oyorooms.com' refunded initial paid amount Rs.2305 but Rs 4283 not refunded. but as per today status of OYO site, Rs4283 have to refund. I mailed to all OYO emails including "sm.[protected]@oyorooms.com". kindly arrange to refund the amount Rs4283.

                                  Hi,

                                  I have stayed at the Oyo Townhouse 429, South City 2, Sector 49, Gurgaon from 28-June-2022 to 1-July-2022. I booked the room through Oyo app after applying the coupons and paid 1368/- for 3 days in advance. When I reached at the hotel, they refused to give me check-in as the price was low according to them. So I called the oyo customer care and they told me to pay the additional amount of 2141/- (as per the hotel) to the hotel and the same amount will be refunded after I will check-out showing proper GST bill for the same amount. So I paid the additional amount demanded by hotel and checked-in. When I checked-out after 3 days of stay, hotel gave me the proper GST bill. When I contacted again to oyo for the refund, they told me that I will receive the refund within few days.
                                  Now it has been over 6 MONTHS. I still haven’t received my money yet.
                                  I have contacted oyo customer care multiple times and they just say “we cannot do anything in this matter”.

                                  I am stuck in between, neither hotel nor Oyo is helping for the refund of my payment.

                                  Please help me out immediately.

                                    I had cancelled a booking on the same day, 31/12/2022 as the Hotel was unresponsive and the OYO app confirmed cancellation and refund of ₹900 that would be processed within 7-14 days. On the app, a confirmation of the same reflects under Booking ID:YZ3I1293 as attached below. As per the confirmation it states that :
                                    Refund successfully processed
                                    Refund of INR 732.0 through UPI successfully transferred
                                    Refund of OYO Money 168.0 credited to wallet
                                    It's over 14 days and INR 732.00 still does not reflect in my account that i paid from. OYO Money was very conveniently transferred within the app to it's OYO wallet on the same day though. I have called OYO customer service about my concern and was put on long holds several times without any resolution.

                                      I have done a booking by calling Oyo customer care and the check in date was filled incorrectly by the customer care executive.
                                      After doing cancellation I was told that the booking was done for back date by their executive so there will be cancellation charges.
                                      Why there are cancellation charges when the fault was of Oyo executive?
                                      Why the cancellation charges are deducted when I have not checked in to the hotel.
                                      My booking I'd was SZVU7233 with the name o[censored]tkarsh.

                                        I booked a room on 19th of Nov, 2022.
                                        Upon calling the property I came to know that the name of hotel listed is different and in actual it is different. The owner denied my booking.
                                        Due to which I cancelled the same (booking ID-LQOY7896).

                                        In the app it is showing my refund status as REFUNDED.
                                        but I haven't got it either in my bank account or in my OYO wallet.

                                        I haven been calling the customer care number, explaining every bit to everyone but your executive team keeps my call on hold and than disconnects it.

                                        Kindly Resolve ASAP or I will be filing it in consumer forum.
