Title : Denial of warranty repair

This is a complaint regarding samsung moblie phone Model SGH D900I, which
I have purchased on 07 Nov 07. Since the date of purchase this phone is a
problem creater, already I have serviced the phone twice. On 30 sep 08, Ihave deposited my handset to authourised service centre named MEREENA
ELECTRONICS, SREE KANDESWARAM, Fort PO, trivandrum, kerala with network
problem (no network) . I was tracking up the progress of repair
personnally and telephonically till date ie, 20 Oct 08. The customer care
was not bothered to inform the progress of repair. Today(on 20 Oct 08) I
received a call from customer care that my phone cannot be serviced
because the circuit board of the phone has become unserviceable due to
moisture.An additional amout Rs 3500/- is required to service the phone.As
far as Iam concerned the phone didnt came into contact with any type of
moisture till date.I tried to convince them, but they are not agreeing. It
took 21 days to invent moisture content from my phone. They told me that
they cannot undertake warranty repair for the same. So ur kind
intervention is requested for resolving this issue .
Consequences : Till 20 Oct 08 no one from customer care was bothered to
inform the progress of repair. Personally I visited the customer care
twice, but the reply was negative. From the date of purchase it has
undergone repair twice. As per customer care's opinion I have to spent
another Rs 3500/- to service the phone, but the phone is already covered
under warranty till 07/11/08.

It is really correct. they are cheating. samething had happened to me. my case is worser than yours. I bought same 26" LCD with airtel offer from Sathya agencies in Chennai on 31st Dec.2008.till todate i haven't got my activation kit from the retailer. he keep on telling that they got supply from samsung with out the activation kit. they r waiting for it to come. they have been communicating with samsung regarding this. but almost 20 days has been passed. i donot know what to do. and i heard airtel service very worst on earth. their customer service is very poor as i have seen plenty of compliants against them.i m planning to ask my refund of Rs. 2995.
