Sir,
I purchased sony ericsson c905 on 24/72010. vide bill no- D10/278. Tin no- [protected] from M club, Dwarka, Sector-10.
The phone worked fine for about 15 days only. I filed a complaint on 17/08/2010. workorder no- last 5 digits-14729.
I was given a weeks notice for its repair. When i called, they told me to wait another week. I filed another complaint at the customer care. request no[protected].
I Dont want the defected piece. I want a replacement at the earliest.
I purchased sony ericsson mobile battery seriel no.397624 on 13/11/2010.
From Swagat (authorised dealer of sony ericsson) Anna nagar, chennai.
Now the name changed to Sony ericsson experience store Nungambakkam chennai.

I got bad experience after purchasing from the store. which is
no battery back up in the battery i purchased. I walked into the store for replacement
of the battery there is no proper response from the sales persons.

I need to replace the battery earlier else i may file case in the
consumer court regarding this problem.

    I have purchased a new Sony laptop of model no. VPCEA16FG/B, Serial No. S[protected]i vide invoice no. SPL/TDG/061/10-11 of SPL Infotech, 53/5 Central Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata 700032. From the very beginning, several problems were found.
    1) Display: There were two positions on the screen waving continuously.
    2) Sound: The worst sound quality I have ever heard in a laptop. When the sound level is increased to 50 - 60%, the sound cracks.
    3) Battery: Sony claims that the battery life extends at least 2 hours after full charge. In real case the battery life decreases below 50% within 30 minutes. Its really unfortunate.

    I have contacted the sony center at 32 Hazra Road, Kolkata 700029 and they checked the problems but they denied to give me a written document. They have solved the first problem but they claim that they couldn't do for other two problems. They refuse to give a replacement.

      I have given my Sony ericsson phone W595 to the service centre on 19th June 2010
      The workorder no. is: SE310MT113309
      Phone submitted to: Mobile Technology, 45/1785, Sanghmitra CHS, Opp. YMCA DN Nagar Link Road, Andheri(W), Mumbai - 400053, Ph:[protected]
      with the complaint that the screen goes blank for hours together anytime on using the mobile phone. If we do not use it, it shows the display.
      This problem persists since the phone was in guarantee period. And I gave it for sevice twice before during that time but the second time they returned me the phone saying that phone is working fine.
      Now the phone is not in the guaranty period.

      This I have given at the service centre. I want the phone to be repaired and I consider the repair should be free of cost for two reasons:
      1. They returned the mobile to be unrepaired during the warranty period saying it is repaired and the problem still got worse.
      2. Even this time if they say it is repaired, I cannot trust how long the phone is going to function well or will I need to get it repaired again.

      Going to service centre again and again cost me both time and money, and yet i do not receive any proper service.
      My handset is still with the service centre and they have refused to repair it till I pay 2500Rs to them.

      I want my handset repaired free of cost since its not my mistake that they did not repair it during the warranty period.

      I am ready to follow the consumer court process to get this done.
      Please help/advice how can I do that.

      on 27th july, 2009 i submitted my sony ericsson w580i to graphline care at patna

      day after submission date, i recieved one sms from service center that my mobile has been repaired, kindely collect

      but when i reached there, they told me that your cell cant be repaired, it will take 10 days
      and still i didnt recieve my cell yet
      today i.e on 25th august
      lastly they told me that your cell cant be repaired as they didnt recieving faulty parts from sony ericsson!!.

      and lastly they told me to submit Rs1800, nd recieve your cell alright
      in my sonyericsson f 305 i have software problem ie games are not installing and videos are showing currpt
      No comment because u r bad service ……….chahe kuch b keh lo kitnai compliant kr lo aap logo ki service kabhi sudhrne wali nhi hai

        Plzzzz guys,

        I'm using the so-called SONY WALKMAN NWZ-S616F for the past few months and recently stuck with a problem. The problem is like the space of the walkman is 4GB in which i not even uploaded a single album of songs but still the walkman displays that the empty space is only 350MB. So, around 3.6GB is unused. How to get rid of this problem??? Hope someone responds to this as soon as possible.

          Sir,

          I have purchased a sony Vaio E Series laptop on 18-August 2010. and it's not even a week past, the laptop has stopped working. The details of laptop are as follows:

          SONY VIO
          Model # VPCEA25FG
          S/N # [protected]

          As soon as it boots, the laptop hangs with no lights blinking. will stay like that and then restarts. This problem started on immediately before I could make a recovery disk for the same. I tried calling to customer care and they without probing told me to take the new laptop to service station as they don't have any resolution for the same. I tried to tell them I have tried to run the dis gnostic tools but the Laptop will just hang after sometime.
          Later on I discovered that BIOS interface status showing hard disk as "NONE"(refer to attachments) that means 'No hard'. and the message now coming on laptop is "Operating System not available".

          This shows the customer care is making fool of me as the problem looks like of Hardware and not of software

          Although the laptop was overpriced I purchased this laptop because of the reliability and Quality assured by "SONY".However, This came out to be a very poor quality product delivered by "Sony". This has been a disappointment by "Sony:.Now, I want "Sony" to take their laptop back and I shall be refunded my money as they have just delivered me a very poor quality product and made no effort to even fix the my problem.

          Please consider this a formal Notice and appropriate action shall be taken immediately from "Sony", failing to which I will be bound to approach Consumer Forum against Sony for delivering poor quality product, providing false information to customer and providing nearly no Service

            I purchased a PSP for my son on 11/10/2009. The product broke down within 7 months of purchase. We visited the Sony Service Center in Vashi to be told that a small hinge inside the PSP (something which holds the CD back) has broken due to our neglegance. I like the guy's attitude because he must have seen us break it our he is so sure of the quality of the product that he believes that the customer is wrong. He told me that since the product can't be repaired in India, the company may give me upto 50% discount on the purchase of the next PSP. Honestly I don't care if the product can or cannot be repaired in India. As per me the product is in warranty and needs to be repaired by Sony India. We filed an online complaint with Sony India a few days back and all we have got till now is a reference number 5810752.

            MNC's like Sony take the Indian customer for granted and give poor service. Please watchout befor you buy any of their products

            i am very disappointed with the sony poor service facility this is third time i am sending my sony psp 3004 for servicing with the same problem occured third time.sony dont look in this matter so far .no concern about that.i am quite annoyed with thatand the service facility is poor in this region

              I have purchased Sony Ericsson K 850 i model mobile from subkshisha Trading Services Ltd.Grantroad East Mumbai

              The stock which they gave me was a out dated the sales man told me the price of the mobile with the scheme of insurance an other future with memory cars of 2 GB.I went ot my office an send my staff to purchased the said with the description written by the showroom manager on the paper with the rubber stamp afixed .They made the bill on staff name an show him the instrument is working properly on his mobile no:[protected] an operate the instrument. but when I checked the instrument i was shock by getting 512 mb memory card. I immediately send the same person to get the 2 Gb Memory card version .They spoke to me on phone an assured me it will take thirty days as per the company policy will send the new hand set after thirty days.
              then after they send him to Salora International they refuse and told we on do within seven days.
              Then after 25/01/2008 i had send my phone to Mulund as the phone system started giving problem they took the instrument an opened the said without making the job sheet an damaged the top panel an retuned.
              after that I was busy with the doctors due to my mother health as she has cancer.And my hole family was busy as she had to under go for operation after the operation I personally visited the Kaiser Electronics at thane west on[protected] an handed over the said hand set to them they retuned my hand set by mentioning fault code 19 action code 14 part description problem not found They did it 2 times S/W upgrade but problem not solved ad send me to Salora office grant road Mumbai the Problem with the hand set is Phone Hang, freeze problem, Greenish Effect in 5 magapixel camara, Network problem Memory card replacement. dialing number connects to Other services provider the value of hand set at the time of purchased the hand set was RS:20503=00 now the current market for new hand set with 2 gb memory card is Rs:19050=00

              I HAVE PURCHASED SONY ER. K810i cyber shot for rs. 16500.first 4 months it was ok but after that it started giving problems. the problem was of auto swith off problem. i go to ferozepur service centre( that was 32 km. from my living place) & they people gave me back this mobile after 5 days. first 10 days it worked ok but afterthat again same problem occured. now the thing is i live in faridkot. i do not have any nearby service centre. again i have given it on salora service centre at ludhiana(250 km. from my living place).. now the complaint is that the people over there r saying that we will change the motherboard of the mobile & it will take 2 weeks. how i have to arrange myself 2 weeks without my mobile? i cant wait for a too long period. plz help in solving the case as soon a.p.

              I purchased a sony ericsson W350i handset on 13th June 2008 from a Dealer in Thane. i have started facing problems from 21st june 2008. I switched off the mobile on 22nd June 2008 and tried to switch it on, but the Mobile is not getting started and the handset is getting hot. Within a span of 7 days the handset is getting hanged, so what satisfaction does sony ericsson provides to its customers.i am going to take this issue to the consumer forum.

              My sony erricson mobile W700i (which is in warrnty period) was showing some problem regarding Battery Charging through a charger. As per my understanding it was just a problem of mobile Socket in which we connect charger. As my walkman and mobile charging was also working in once when i tried for thrice from a Month because of same reason.
              I had given my mobile to service center(Goyal Shopping Center, Borivali(w), Mumbai) they told me that within two days they will give me estimates if something which is not covered in warrenty preiod.
              After two days they called me and said it will take around 750/- for some technical reason and they need one week to get it doen. I said ok.
              After a week when i went to collect my mobile they told me they need more two days as some parts they have not received from Sony.
              Still today they are jsut telling me with in two days it will get ready.
              Now its around a month and now they are telling me that your moile motherboard is having some problem so your estimated has got changed and need to pay 1200/-.
              How we can believe this service center guys?
              Are they killing time intentionally?
              Do they want to make more money by keeping sony erricsson customer on hanging?
              Are they tellign us don't take sony erricson mobile again as you are aware how we are proving you the service?
              Are they having that much workload that they can't manage?
              Sony erricson has to take it very seriously? When i went to service center for my mobiel i always found big queue of customers? Is this the quality???? Is this the service? ...

              I gave a Sony ericson Z550i mobile for service on 31/5/08 through my friend. The complaint no. is 14313. Till now Iwas not able to trace in what condition my was. Each and every time when I contact the customer care, they tell me a date to collect my mobile. But when I call on that date, they tell that your mobile was not ready and give me another 1 week time. Pls mail me the exact position and try to deliver my mobile as soon as possible. Thank You.
              Dear sir/madam,

              i had purchased a sony ericsson W850i mobile set (IMEI: [protected]) from Mobile Store in Jabalpur (India) on 16 Jun 2008 on cash payment. on 18 Jul 2008 all of a sudden the display of the set went faulty and nothing was visible on display within a couple of minutes and phone stopped working altogether.

              i contacted the vendor and they directed me to Sony Ericsson authorised repairers "IT Solutions" at Jabalpur. the shop was closed on 19 and again on 20 Jul 2008. i deposited the set on 21 Jul 2008 and i was told that the set had a manufacturing defect and that i would get the set back after repair on 28 Jul 2008.

              But on 28 Jul, i was told that it would get a day more. on contacting on 29 Jul, a am told that it might take a couple of days more.

              sir, i have already lost contact with all important persons for last more then 10 days now and don't know how much more time will it take. i tried to find out procedure of making a complaint from their dealer, but they refused to entertain.

              i want to make an official complaint to them through you about the quality of their product and lackadaisical attitude of their staff. the present one was the second sony ericsson set that i bought. but now my faith in the company is shaken.

              please forward my formal complaint and get a redressal for my grievances. i don’t care if the set is taken back and i am refunded my money so that i buy mobile set of any other reliable company.

              I have purchased w-700 i about year back. In last 6 months I have changed my charged two times because of some battery charging problems. Even after talking with my friends, they have also confirmed the same.

              Sony Ericsson Z555 — Mobile is faulty and stopped working completely

              We bought Mobile Z555 model on 1 June 2008 (EMEI:[protected]) from The
              Mobile Store, Hirnandani, Powai, Mumbai - 400 076. The mobile was not functioning properly since begining, finally it stopped completely working and become dead. We took it to service centre at DM Telesystems, Ghatkopar, Mumbai on 26 July 08 (SE08-A[protected], he said PCB is completely gone and would take 10-12 days. We called to call centre and send request to replace it and again called on 30 July 08. The Call centre executives straighaway refused to give replacement saying, their policy is not to replace mobiles. I have sent e-mail to support centre, but no response. I am surprised how company's like Sony Ericsson do not replace faulty mobile handsets.

              I took the new W200i Sony Ericsson, on 12th Oct 2008, next when I am trying to Charge, it not at all charging, and it is getting become hot.When I Reached the service center, they are telling that...you need to replace the PCB(mother board) that will take again 15-20 days he says. I agree with this, but PCB is an Heart of the mobile, if that is lost then, what gauranty that will work fine for longer period.

              Sony Erricson W 580i mobile — 3 repairs in last 5 months - Still not received the handset.

              I bought Sony Ericson mobile W 580i on 03/01/2008.
              IMEI# [protected].
              (With 1 year warranty)
              Invoice No 18181 from Zoop, Mumbai.

              Complaint : This handset was repaired previously two times at Salora International Ltd, Mumbai. Now it is again lying at Salora for last 20 days since 03/12/2008 under third complaint.


              Concerned Complaint id and details are:
              1) SES08MUM19627. Problem description: Auto OFF, Inner Keypad not working, Speaker voice problem, etc.
              Date of Depositing Handset 30/08/2008 ;
              Repaired & returned on 20/09/2008.
              No of days taken ; 21 days.

              2) SES08MUM22036. Problem description: No ring tone sound, MP3 songs not playing, Auto OFF, Inner Keypad not working, Speaker voice problem, etc, .

              Date of Depositing Handset 11/11/2008 ;
              Repaired & returned on 13/11/2008.
              No of days taken ; 3 days.

              Now Third time
              3) SES08MUM22756. Problem description: No ring tone sound, MP3 songs not playing, Speaker voice problem, No Video Recording etc, .
              Date of Depositing Handset 03/12/2008 ;
              Repaired & returned on still not returned.
              No of days taken ; already 20 days & still not done.


              This whole issue was communicated to[protected] Sony Ericson call centre New Delhi ) on 15 Dec 2008 complaint no SE 750-9538 . Concerned Executive confirmed to escalate the same & delivery of handset within 48 hours, " This was very impressive to hear .

              Till 19th Dec no communication was received from Sony Call centre, I called up again, talked to Mr Jitender asking the status, to my surprise he told my handset is ready & I should collect it from Salora. I called up Salora at the same time asking for time to come up . Very shockingly Mr Vinay at Salora said " We have yet not received required parts from Delhi, kindly call later .
              I took Mr Jitender at Sony Ericson on parallel call with Mr Vinay at Salora, what I discovered from their talks was that Internal communication system was a total failure at Sony & not at all unto the mark, Both of them kept on arguing about their respective status being right, that too at my call cost.
              Conclusion from Mr Jitender came that I will get my Handset by 20 Dec, or else they will call me to update.

              As usual I received no calls from Sony Service centre / Complaint department till 22nd Dec .I called up to Delhi complaint dept again
              This time it was some lady, Not at all clear in speech & not knowing what to reply, at 22nd Dec 10:30 AM.

              I called up to Delhi complaint dept again at 02:00 PM of 22nd Dec, this time it was Mr Ajay chauhan, giving me all excuses, even accepting that the Systems at their ends are not working & to give me a call in One hour .

              This time I warned him of Consumer complaint & legal actions if no response comes within 1 hour & asked fro escalating the issue to required ranks for getting the Handset replaced .

              I received a call for the first time at 03:00 PM from Sony, this time it was Mr Amar .He confirmed me that a handset could be replaced only if the total talk time is less than five minutes. He told me that same will be escalated to required seniors & if possible I will get my handset repaired before weekend.

              I Bought a mobile W760i of Sony Ericssion about 6 months ago and about 2 months ago the lcd display of the mobile got cracked. I went to your service centre in jaipur and asked for its repair they said that the part is not available and would be there in 2-3 days. Since then I have called a nuber of time at your service station about the above part and they still say that it would be available in next 2-3 days. I am surprised to say that how long the 2-3 days of your service centre take to make tha part available. Your centre manager Mr Yaswant Singh says "You can try in the local market to get the mobile repair". Is this type of response accepted from an authorised service station and if so then what is the need of such authorised service stations. This indirectly means that the local repairers are more capable to make a part available then such a huge company. This is a matter of great shame. You are requested to take some action in the above matter and kindly make me know that where can i get my mobile repaired in Jaipur, rajasthan? How much time would it take? and what would be the charges for the same? Kindly reply at an early otherwise it would be taken as it is of no use to make a complain here and one should prefer brands other than sony.

              I am user of Sony Ericsson cell phone and facing so much difficulty in services. After a month or so I was facing and hanging problem during the dialing and receiving the phone calls. I have given handset to your service partner Salora International to rectify the problem. They confirmed that there is a mother board problem in set and they will replace in 3-4 days. After 15 days constant follow ups they handed over me the phone and confirm about mother board replacement. Again I am facing the same problem I went to your service centre they straight away refused that they are not having any part right now and they can't help me with this.

              I am a sales and marketing professional and used to travel a lot. If this is the service and product I got after investing the Rs. 16, 000/- with the expectation of good handset with good feature.

              My friend specially suggested me for to buy W760 is the best cell phone available in the market. I would like to mention that I have invested money to get better product and services not to roaming around your dealers and spending so much energy and time to visit his place.

              I had purchased a new hand set (sony ericsson W580i) on[protected] . Due to some problem I have handed over my sony ericsson W580i set at the authorised service centre of Sony Ericsson for repair ( replacing the key – which was on right side disconnecting button ) on 21/04/2009. They asked me to wait for 10 minutes after that they said there is problem in the board. The service centre person told me it will take 15 days time for getting the same repaired. After 15 days when I called to that service center they said it will take another one week, the problem in the set has not been resolved & will take 1 more weeks. One day I had sent mail to the in charger of that service center on[protected] and she had replied immediately sayting (Hi Madam, With the reference mail request you to kindly request give us sla of 48hrs. We will deliever the handset.) again had sent mail on[protected] asking (Hi Durga, Good Morning, When can I come to your office to collect my handset.) for that she had replied on same day saying (Dear Madam, tomorrow you can collect your handset) .Went to the center to collect my handset they were showed somebody’s hand set and immediately I called up that lady (Nirmala) she asked me to meet next day. I visited the service center next day the lady over there asked me to wait for approx.1 hr & after that she gave me the set which was not mine. The Handset given to me was not mine & when I told the same to her, she replaced the same & handed me another one which too was not mine . It is almost more than a month still I have not received my handset. They had changed my battery and all and there were telling me one big story. Due to their carelessness this has happened and even the incharger had agreed for that.

              There was one small mark on the key pad of my sony ericsson W580i set which I have not told them which helps me in identifying mine. Since the very first visit they were handing me some other set .

              Rs10300/- approx. is not a small amount

              I have given my Song Ericsson P990i which is not under warranty for repairs at one of your authorized service centre i.e. "Eternity Mall, Teen Hath naka", at the time I gave the phone I was told that it would cost me Rs. 281 if repaired, if not I would be charged Rs. 150. Also i was told that the repair was would be done and given back in 5 days, however it has been more than 10 days and now they are telling me that the spares are not available hence he cannot tell how long it will take, also he cannot give a rough estimate. They also refuse to give a receipt of the Rs. 150 which would be charged.

              From the purchasing date to till date this, I facing a problem of Charging Connector and Sliding, for this I had visited Sony Ericission Service Center 6 times. 4 times at Okhala Service Center and 2 times at Lajpat Nagar Service Center.This Set is still with Lajpat Nagar Sevice Center from 5th june,

              Two times i have personally visited every time they give the next date. 26.06.09 is my written delivery date, but I have received the same repated message from Lajpat Nagar Service Center.

              Hello SirMadam,

              I am writing a complaint against the Sony Ericson Service Centre, Sector 18-D, Sco-23, Chandigarh. I was extremely dissapointed to find such an unproffessional attitude from the service centre of your esteemed company. Me and my entire family was very optimistic about using sony erricson handsets and have been using your hansets for the past six years but I feel very sorry to say that, the attitude of the people of the above stated centre has completly discouraged me and my kins for further purchase of any products from your company. I am currently using W580i, which i purchased on 13th September, 2008, but in the month of April, this cell phone started giving me the following problems:

              1. Improper voice clarity.
              2. Charging was shown but wasn't charging.
              3. Hanging of the handset.

              I took the set to the Sony Erricson Service centre, sector 18, Chandigarh. On 9th June, 2009 after a wait of approximately two hours, it was my turn to get the service. The atmosphere of the service centre was exremely unapproachable and very casual. No proper guidelines were mentioned anywhere and two receptionists were sitting who were making a record of the complaints and making the charge sheets. They had absolute no idea of the technical knowhow. I logged my complaint with them and told them the entire problem, to my surprise, without even listening to the entire situation they told me to get my mobile's sofware updated. Thereafter, I lost the track of my entire phonebook and certain important text messages, for which I had to suffer heavily. On asking as to when can I collect my phone, I was very casualy replied to call them up and confirm. Two days after, I called at the service station for about 5 times which went unanswered. I got lucky at the sixth time and thereafter they said they'll update me with the information by calling me back, which never in life happened.
              I made a call to them after a week as I had to go out of Chandigarh, and they said that my handset was ready to collect. On reaching there I asked them to show me the working but they were all illequipped. I had no choice but to come back and check the working myself. There was absolutely no change made, only thing was that I suffered my phonebook and texts. Wondering that probably my battery was out of order, I replaced it myself, inspite of my mobile being in warrenty period. But it made no further change. Then my friend suggested that may be my mobile's motherboard is not functional.
              On 18th June, 2009 I visited them once again and told them the entire saga, they were still not able to gauge the problem. So I told them myself that the motherboard needs replacement. THIS CAME AS A SHOCK TO ME THAT THEY COULD NOT EVEN GAUGE A SIMPLE PROBLEM. They again kept my cell with them for the motherboard replacement and promised me to return it within a week's time. After a week, I again called them to confirm but they said that it's in process and will be done by 1st, July.
              On 1st July, I was hoping to get my cellphone back but their cold and careless attitude worsened the situation even further. They had the same reply to give, "MADAM, ABHI NAHI HUA HAI, PHONE KARKE POOCH LENA" (Call up and confirm). This irritaed the hell out of me. They had no satisfactory or proffessional argument to give.
              This kind of service has highly discourged me from using the cellphones or rather any product of your comapany. I have faced immense harrasement. I FINALLY HOPE THAT YOU WOULD LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND REPLACE MY MOBILE, DUE TO THE HARRASSMENT AND UNSATISFACTORY SERVICE I FACED. AS I WOULD HAVE NO FURTHER CHOICE BUT TO SEEK HELP FROM THE CONSUMER FORUM.

              I had purchased Sony W595 mobile on 22/06/2009 from Croma Rohini vikash surya shopping mall plot no -18, mangla place Rohini, New Delhi-110085. Within 2 days time of purchase there was a problem in the no text or picture in display & other display problem and we complained first at service center (RT Outsourceing service ltd Deepali Chowk Rohini, ) on 25 th june 2009 for repair. Its only one day same problem & then i also suffer and same day go & hansdset given to Service centre, work order number provided by service centre are SE309RDC10128 & SE309RDC10185.. The service center person after umpteen number of calls from our side gave some reason or the other for delay. We are concerned at the customer care and till today for replacement of handset evening, the complaint is not solved and we have not yet received the mobile.

                  I have purchased Sony DVD player - DVPSR650PBC/IN5 (Serial No. 8546394) from Vivek Limited in Vadapalani, Chennai on 28th May, 2010. Bill no. is [protected] for Rs 2990/-. No sound is coming in the DVD player (only music comes but no dialogues). I went to the dealer for this complaint, he refused to help in service and told that he only sells and does not provide after sales service.
                  Is it not the duty of the dealer to provide after sales service support. This is the first time I have seen in my life a response like this.
                  When contacted the customer care of Sony, they admitted that some defective pieces have been sold and I was asked to contact Ashok Nagar, Chennai service center for replacement.
                  For this purpose, I will have to be out of office and my one day salary is more than the cost of the product.
                  Request for your help for change of the product through the dealer.

                    I bought Sony HDR-CX150E/BC E37 on 10/07/2010 from Radio House Bangalore. The Handicam is having issues while replaying videos/pics when I am using internal memory, while there is no such issue while I am saving in external flash card provided.

                    When I called customer care for the issue, they asked me to take a Demo. I have requested for a Demo 4 times since I bought the Handycam. Here are 3 SR# which 5603542/5618404/5823411and the fourth one I have lost. When I called customer care again and ask "why no one has visited me so far?", they do not have an answer for that!

                    I did visit CMH Road Service Center but they again redirected me to get the Demo first as they do not have right skills to solve the issue and give Demo!!!

                    I have no other way left than to go public with my complaint.

                      On 1st july 2010, i submitted my Sony ericsson cell phone handset No.C-510 vide work order no.SE 310SIT10333 dated 01.07.2010, at your service centre SHREE INFOTECH, shop no.09, God's Gift Tower No.02, Near Lower Parel Railway Station, N.M.Joshi Marg, MUMBAI .

                      The problem in the cell phone was that the
                      1) SIM /MEM CARD wasnt reading
                      2) CANT CHARGE
                      3) FRONT COVER DEFECTIVE

                      i requested the people based in the service centre to repair the same .They assured me that the said problem of display will be corrected shortly within 5 -7 days. Now, one moth or more was lapsed. I visited the service centre regularly as and when they called me. On each time, they make excuse on one pretext or the other . finally i got back my mobile on 3rd august 2010 but again it reported some problem.
                      now d MIC, KEYPAD wasnt working. i submitted my mobile to same service centre for repair again.
                      i was told that its a minor problem and wouldn't take long to get repaired. but again they took 1 month for repairs. as told they didnt stood up to thier promise n i was again humiliated by the service. i got my cell back on 30th august 2010 but now it had problem of camera.
                      CAMERA had spot on it n pictures which i took were pathetic. i bought this mobile as m very much fond of camrea phones but nw that camera is not working properly the cell has no value as CAMERA was the most unique and highlighting feature of this.
                      i went to other service centre but was sent to the same service centre as they obliged to handle the case...the service centre took the handset fomr me on 4th october 2010 and the cell is still with them under repair...

                      I am waiting for a positive reply from your service centre . As no other option left, i touched base with your customer care . It has been 3 months now as stated above, i am waiting for my cell phone to get repaired and everytime i get my cell back it occurs new problem, but there has been no support from your end. It has been a pathetic experience after buying of your company phone. I m really sorry for your poor and unreliable service.

                      I request you to please replace my cell phone with the new cellphone as soon as possible as i cant use this cell phone anymore it has ocuured a lot of problem created by your own service centres and i dont see that this time too my cellphone will b repaired prorperly. and what if it occurs 1 more problem. ihave to run again and waste my precious time and money for getting it repaired.

                      I swear not to buy a cell phone again of your brand and also suggest not to buy of your brand.                         I HAVE HEARD THAT A PANEL WOULD COST NOT LESS THEN RS 40000.

                        T HERE HAVE BEEN LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON SONY BRAVIA PRODUCTS ACCORDING TO EXPERTS THE MAKERS HAVE NOT ACCOUNTED THE HUMIDITY FACTOR IN OUR COUNTRY AS A RESULT THE LIFE OF SONY TVS ESPECIALLY BRAVIA SERIES IS RESTRICTED TO 3 TO 4 YEARS.

                          I bought 'sony ericsson c905' model handset on 26th january 2009 and its ear speakers are not working since 24th june 2009.                             COMPLAINT ON FAULTY LAPTOP DELIVERED AND ALSO BROKEN DURING SERVICE PERIOD

                            I have bought a vaio laptop of model VPCEB26FG White laptop on 05.04.2010 in
                            Sony show room present in Vellore,TAMILNADU,INDIA. named as

                            TAMILNADU,SOUTH INDIA.

                            Specifications:
                            Processor : corei3-300M /2.13Ghz Graphics : ATI Mobility Radeon tm HD 5650 Graphics
                            Display : 15.5"/1920*1080
                            Total memory : 4GB
                            Storage : approx.500 GB(HDD)
                            Optical Drive : DVD+-RW/+-R DL/RAM Drive
                            OS : Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

                            In that laptop i found some of the keys not functioning its specification but it displays some other symbol unrelated to the key symbol intended.(On clicking the key ie when i press the shift+2 key @ symbol is not displayed ' this symbols displayed similarly two more keys doesn’t function properly).Also the product key to function the Microsoft office doesn’t matches with that laptop product key..

                            So i contacted the dealer immediately from whom i brought that laptop and made these faults to his eyes .He assured me that he will send the laptop to chennai service centre and the problems will be solved.

                            But later more than one and a half month of service time period ( i.e 47 days). I was shocked to see that the problem was not rectified also,i found my laptop was damaged with an Air brake (crack that is breakage) at the top panel of the laptop.





                            So i asked the dealer to Repay me the Money/Amount or to Replace me with a New laptop of same model , the dealer got back the laptop with a writen statement from me for replacement of new laptop of the same model, but after so many days i dint get any response from the dealer..

                            Without any response from the dealer i came here to contact with you the Company .I need Justice. Now i wanted you to get me a New laptop or to Replace me wit a New laptop of same model with in a short period of time. Still now there is no response from the dealer and also from your side.I need an immediate response regarding Replacement of my laptop or Repay me the amount.Expect your reply soon.

                            Sony VAIO — sHOWROOM SOLD ME A FAULTY LAPTOP

                            Sir,

                            I bought a Sony Vaio laptop Model No: VGNCS22GH/B on 6th june 2009. I paid on 6th but got my pc delivered on 7th late evening. I used it only on 12th june and came to know that the laptop is very defective. Speaker sounds are bad, and when i open two windows, the pc becomes slow like hell and if i put on my airtel data card for internet, the laptop gets hanged. Also songs when played in windows medis player gets interrupted every 2 secs. I took the laptop back to showroom and even the sales person confirmed that the laptop has some issues after checking it out. I am really disappointed that a company like Sony would make such a product and sell it. I want my money back or u should get my laptop replaced. I will not accept a laptop which u will repair and give me. Please take my complaint seriously as i am really disappointed.
                            Once again i repeat i will not accept the same laptop even i[censored] repair it as new. Why should I?? I have not invested 40000 bucks to buy a second hand laptop. So please get back to me.

                            reasonable.

                            1. No enough length for the adapter wire.
                            2. No dvd player installed as default.
                            3.No adapter cover for in this bag.
                            4. there is no lock when we close the display.

                            additional problems in my software part.

                            1. Printer devise found, but couldnt add the printer. they asking .inf file for this printer when we try to connect through the network.

                            2. very dark when we watch the movie. When we reduce it from ati setting the quality will be lost.

                            Nb. if you can add dvd and rw symbol on outside the dvd driver it will help for more attraction and standard for this laptop.
                            Even i have a problem with vaio..i bought it 7 months back and hard disk has got crashed twice..

                              Dear Sir

                              This mail is in regard with my Sony Ericsson G900 set. I bought this mobile set on 04/07/08 from your authorized dealer "Invitation Electronics, E-17, South Extension, Main Market, Part-II, New Delhi-110049". Its TIN No was 072102SE82675 & IMEI no was: [protected] .

                              But after using it for just couple of months, it started giving problems like: Hang, display problem, software problem, etc because of which I showed it to your authorized service center "Mobile Phones India, 114, DLF Central Arcade, DLF City-II, Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, Gurgaon-122002" on 27/02/09. Upon which they changed the software & returned me the very same moment. That time my complaint ID was: SES09MPI10360.

                              On 13th March '09 that is after just 2 weeks, again the same problem aroused & again I went to the same service center & complained about the same problem. This time they said that "ma'am its motherboard will be replaced". This time my complaint ID was SES09MPI10375. They replaced it and returned me on 3rd April' 09 with a new IMEI Number: [protected]. I even requested them to replace the handset as I'm facing the same problems repeatedly... they said "No Ma'am! We cant change your handset as its fault is being rectified now"... And assured me that now I'll never face that same problem while using it.

                              Then after using its for exactly 3 months, again the same problem arouse. On 27th June '09 I went to the same service center to show them my mobile, they directed me toward their other service center which is "Tele Gizmos, Old Delhi-Gurgaon Road, Sec-18, T Point, Opp Air Force Station, Gurgaon (Haryana). There they said that "Ma'am we'll replace your mobile's display (screen) as its hanging, getting dark, etc." Hence they mentioned the Symptom Code: Other Display Problem, Other Phone hang/Freeze problem & asked me to wait for couple of days as they were running short of a new display. Now my complaint ID was: SE309TGM10040.

                              When after 2 weeks i asked them about the status on my mobile set, they said "Ma'am we have sent the request for some new displays, but haven't received any form the supplier." I said fine, kindly inform me whenever its repaired.

                              After close to one month, I again gave them a reminder call, then they said "Yes ma'am its being repaired today only, hence you can collect it now". So finally on 22nd July'09 they returned me the set & assured me that now I'll never show any problem... But you may not believe that when i received it from them, though its LCD was working perfectly fine that time but its flash light become blue... Only God or they knows that how this happened. I even complained them regarding the same, they said we cant give you any guarantee of it.. we don't know how it become blue... you have to again show it to us & now we are going to charge you for repairing it as your warranty period is expired...

                              And on the top of it again exactly after just a week, the set's display showed the similar problem. This time its touch screen was not working, a very big liquid dot appeared on it, its hanging, display was flashing, mobile is restarting again and again... what to say now it seems to be a useless plastic box now... I can't even use it for a moment... Its seems that my precious money is being wasted on a plastic box...

                              But when I complained about this to them, they said "Ma'am sorry we cant give you any guarantee for this set, its warranty is expired... Hence you have to pay repair charges now...On that I said but it was lying with your service station for a month & you only gave me assurance that now I'll never face any problem in using it as now its display/screen is being changed!!! They argued with me very rudely & said we can't help you then!!!

                              Now my question is that "Is this the way Sony Ericsson's service center will provide services to their customers????" I had even asked them to replaced the handset earlier only, but they refused to do it even though that time it was under the warranty period...

                              After facing all those harassments, I decided to write this mail to you & complain about whats going on in Sony Ericsson's service centers...


                              If they can't solve the customer's problems & instead of solving their existing problems, they are creating new problems for them... then for what reasons these service centers have been meant for????????

                              I would now request you to kindly change the handset immediately and. provide me with a new handset immediately.

                              A revert mail in the affirmative would be highly appreciated.

                              Trust you will do the needful and oblige.

                              To whom so ever it may concern, this is to inform you that your service center in vapi above paris hotel is charging lumpsum rate for changing of internal parts of mobile. I went with my mobile at your service center model no. W705 i had a problem in phones slider i showed him after checking he told the belt of slider is damaged i told you repair it, but suddenly he demanded for money without repairing the mobile is this possible in a service center that day he told Rs 900/- after two days he told Rs 1000/-.
                              Pls let me know the reason is it company rules or a service center rules and pls let me know the cost of the slider belt so that i can go further.

                                I the undersigned Mr. Jay Shah had purchased a Sony Ericsson Vivaz mobile handset IMEI no: [protected] on 22/05/2010. Since the date of purchase I was facing problems using my mobile such as ‘restarting, mobile hangs, also hangs while recording videos, slow working’. And finally my mobile handset stopped working.

                                Hence I visited Sony Ericsson service centre for a solution to this manufacturing defect. The Job Sheet no is: SE310SGV11028. I submitted my mobile at your service centre on 31/07/2010 and since then I am given false promises that I will get my mobile with in few days, but all in vain even after 19 days of submitting my mobile. This kind of cheating is not at all acceptable from Sony Ericsson.

                                All this things points to that Sony Ericsson has cheated me. When company is not able to fix the problem even after so many days, it is clear that the mobile had a manufacturing defect.

                                  This is the most frustrated Cx you migh thave ever handled. I loved Sony for its quality only and thats why i bought the most costliest thing i have ever purchased on my own, an E series Sony Vaio Laptop worth 41k.
                                  VPC-EB24EN is the model. After 4 days the laptop showed what worth it is. It gave me an error while booting. A black screen with error " Operating system Not found". What the [censored] Its only 4 days and it gave me this message. Was it a genuine OS that you people loaded??? Are you cheaters in White dresses?

                                  Then after calling the lazy Customer support of sony the 3rd agent told me to look into BIOS. There was no Hard Disk showing. It was HD : None. Holy !!!!! Are you kidding. Is this the quality of product that you people deliver to your customers. Whay dont u check the products before shipping. After talking to the dealer he told me to contact the service center enginer in Nehru Place. He told me to visit the center. I went there. I was just waiting for my turn and in the mean time I just switched on the lappy and WT[censored] in Bios, the HD was showing. HD : 320 GB.
                                  Are you people playing with us??????
                                  one day it is showing none and other day its showing IT.

                                  The engineer told me that they will diagose the problem and will call me in the next morning. But the MFckrs never called me. I called them and they told me that they will replace the faulty HD and it will take 4-5 days.

                                  Now my question is why should I wait for this much of time. Why shouuld I suffer because oof your negligence, faulty products, poor services, carelessness??????????

                                  WHY the cx should suffer after paying this much of money????

                                  They have not revert back to me since then nad when i cal them they tell me that there serve is down or there is no power. Today I called them and abused alot and then he told the engineer to talk to me. He told me that the HD has been ordered and it will take 1-2 days to come and then he will call me accordingly.

                                  Now the only thing what I want from Sony India is to reimburse the losses of these 9 days ASAP and provide me a new laptop immediately.

                                  I want you to provide me a new laptop.

                                  I dont want you to replace the hard disk. get me a new laptop and make sure that its not faulty.
                                  Dont give money to Kareena for promos but assure the irated cxs first Sony or you will lose cxs.

                                  I have spread this news among my friends and they have spread this news among there frnds and the circle willl go on.

                                  Please give me an opportunity to restore the trust in brand SONY.
                                  Get me a new laptop ASAP.

After two months o[censored]sage the lap was not starting and whenever i on it it was just dark screen. The hard disk had to be replaced. Now another two months has passed and i am facing the same problem. When i enquired with the sony care centre they said that my hard disk was not detecting neither internally nor externally. I hav important data in it which has to be retrieved at any cost. The hard disk was not full. Out of the 320gb only 30 50gb was in use.                                   I have purchased a Sony Vaio Laptop from Ezon, Rohini, New Delhi in March 2011 which has developed a major problem with its monitoring system in November 2011. On checking it they said the problem is with the its mother board and they have changed it. Again it started developing problem in September 2012 as only some colourful lines appearing on the screen. I again took it to the same service centre. After checking it they said there is no any major problem in it just doing a service will rectify it. They did the service charging me Rs. 1200/-. On the second day, it again developed the same problem. I am taking it to them again tomorrow. Sony is said to be a good quality laptop manufacturer but my experience with it is too bitter that within just one year of purchase I have had to take to the service center twice with major problems like mother board change and all that. I have seen dozens of complaints from people who all are too unfortunate people who trusted this company. There was a manuacturing defect on the laptop which i brought, on the right side of the laptop there is a sound when i shaked it.When i told this problem after two days through phone the seller said it is not an issue it is from DVD DRIVE. it happens normally .After my 10 days holiday when i came back the seller directly told go and show this laptop to service center.When i asked for a replacement he rejected it by saying, replacment can only be done within 3 days.Atlast when i go to service center there the operator told replacement can be done within one week.since the laptop have been taken around two weeks it can't be replaced and inorder to repair it they want to open too.it will take 1 day to get back and plus wastage of my precious time and that to for a new laptop which cost Rs.38, 900

                                      I regret to inform you that, finally, u have not repaired my Sony Ericsson W810i handset even after taking 1 month of time at service centre and returned it without repair saying "Not repairable".
                                      For this, I had already sent 7 reminders by email (attached for your reference) and regular telephonic followup, but very disappointed with most pathetic and disgusting service.

                                      There was a problem in it's hardware, which results in bad battery performance. I want to just replaced/repaird this particular hardware. As there is no any problem in battery & charger. They have offer me expenses Rs.900, but even my acceptance for the same, finally they have not repaired the same.

                                      How it can possible that the manufacturing company has shortage of spare parts.

                                      I had purchased that mobile in Rs.15100 (Including SE MPS 60 speakers) + 2 GB Memory Card = Rs.1350 + Additional BST 37 Battery = Rs.1450, Bluetooth Device = Rs.2,000
                                      = Grand total (approx.) = Rs.20,000.

                                      This is the direct loss to me, because I can't use these all accessories in another handset. I will not prefer Sony Ericsson in future. I have suffered a lot by their after sales services.

                                      Sony Ericsson — Battery Performance regarding standby time

                                      Sir,
                                      I purchased a sony ericsson xperia x10 mini on 19/4/20011 thro my husband's ICICI bank debit card payment.
                                      I kept unused for the next couple of days due to my hectic tour shedule.
                                      I then started using the same from 25th of april 2011.
                                      From the very first day I was shocked by the battery performance as it got drained of a full charge with in 6-8hrs.
                                      I continued this up to 17/5/2011 and handed over to the service centre for repair at accel-coimbatore with workorder no.Se311acb13673 with customer phone no as[protected] .
                                      They then returned the same with software upgradation on 21/5/2011.
                                      This when I brought home and started using for next two days and found that no improvement in the performance and hence again lodged for repair at the same service centre on 23/5/2011 with workorder no. Se311acb13820.
                                      They returned my phone on 27/5/2011 with battery replaced as per their log sheet given to us.
                                      But this time also the same problem continued with additional problems like frequently the camera auto on.
                                      On continuation of the above said things it failed to get charge from 5/6/2011 on wards and hence I handed over to the same service centre for repair on 7/6/2011.
                                      After repeated enquiry they said it has been sent to chennai for mother board replacement and finally returned it on 20/6/2011.
                                      From then till now it works for a full charge of battery for about 8-10hrs even i[censored] talk for just half an hour and also even if you talk more like 1.5hrs it extends up to 6hrs.
                                      But it is drastically different from the company's statement about the 285hrs of standby time for this model.
                                      The company fools its customer limitlessly.
                                      Pleas address the exploitation of sony ericsson xperia mini customers by the sony ericsson.
                                      Also let us know if any complaint can be filed in the consumer court for breach of trust regarding the standby time given in their website for this model.

                                        In March 2010 I purchased a Sony 40" LCD TV for almost Rs 65K. This was within few days of its launch. In less than six months it started showing bad colors. It took Sony India more than 10 days to diagnose the problem and now they say that they will not replace but repair it. Even though the warranty terms are valid for repair but having bought the most expensive television set one does not buy these troubles. It is also a head racking experience to deal with a different person all the time within their organization, Why can't they give a new replacement and take back the old TV so that I have a hassle free experience of owning and enjoying it. I suppose it is no use spending a lot of money on this brand since once in for service you will also buy hard attitude, trouble and expensive spare parts in after warranty period (as I have read elsewhere on the net)

                                        I totaly agree SONY in India is live only cause of its brand image it actaully had mustered once other wise the whole orgainsation structure here is to make fool of people.

                                        I am a similar sufferer.

                                        From being a strong supporter of this brand have turned into advising people around to never opt for it any more, their after sale services are pathetic.
                                        Had bought a LCD 32" in 2007 in the very first year of warranty it had to be sent to the service center at mathura road for problem and I got back the set after more then 1 week.

                                        Now last month again it has got similar problem for which I had logged in the complaint & the engineer was sent across at my Dwarka address, post checking he said he would get back with the estimate for repair.

                                        I got a call from him after few days late in the evening at 2000hrs & he sounded as if he was drunk and asked for 12, 000 Rs for repair claiming that the part has to brought in from Singapore. Towards which I requested to please send the LCD to service center and check if actually the problen stated by is there or not & also nothing else is wrong as it dose not make sense to spend 12, 000 Rs and again spend more over some other problem later if it exists. Rather its better I buy a new one instead.

                                        To which I was conveyed he'll get the LCD picked and would send across to service center for valid check up.

                                        Sony service have gone for toss for sure, I do not think I can ever recommend any one else to buy this product now though have been a stong supporter of this brand all my life.

                                        LCD 40 inch TV — Product not repaired and returned even after 15 days

                                        My LCD was taken for repair on 26th of August for the complaint of there being a red line on the screen going vertically down. It has been 15 days now it has still not being repaired. They say they do not have the part available with them. Less than one year old LCD firstly develop a problem like this and then Sony doesnot have the required part. Kindly look into this and facilitate a necessary action.The serial no. of complaint is 1200919. Customer name is Col.R. Bali, address 83, Pratap chowk, Delhi Cantt.
                                        I am a Sony loyalist whose recent experience has made myself to lose confidence in the brand ‘SONY’ and its product. I am having lot of Sony products with me LCD TV's, LED TV, VAIO LAPTOP, PS3, HOME THEATER SYSTEMS, DVD PLAYERS, DSLR CAMERA, DIGITAL CAMERA, High Defination HDD HANDYCAM, CAR DVD PLAYERS and many more. At last I come to the conclusion that Sony in India providing substandard products. Even the MD of Sony India did not listen to the custmer. It is much better to buy a cheeper product rather than Sony bcz one can buy two systems in a price of one.

                                        Sony Customer Care is pathetic. Customer Care Executive says, someone from Sony will call back, no body calls back. I wrote an email saying I'll file a case in Consumer Court, nobody cared to reply. When I ask Customer Care to transfer the call to a Manager, they say the Manager is not available. The franchisee service center "Shri Amba Services Pvt Ltd" looking into the complaint does not wants to give an estimated time when the TV will be returned. Its been almost a month now since I had registered a complaint. Even no standby TV has been provided.

                                        Sir, my car stereo of sony was not working so i gave them to sony service centre in kanpur, but the product is not repaired yet, when i call they say you will get in a week but three months are passed and i still dont have it. everyone is making me wander.

                                        Yes, I am from bangalore. I recently brought a new sony LED television. The problem I am facing is in its picture quality. I thought, as I am paying a premiem price. I will get better quality amoung all other company. But, because of poor quality, sony gradually loosing its market.

                                        One of my friend brought samsung LED television recently, his picture and sound quality is much better. And more feature it is having.

                                        I think, now, it is time for sony, to analyze that it is not just SONY brand will hold them in the market. To servive in market either the have to increase there quality or cut down the prices. I asked the dealer to change the set, but they are very arogant. I have written complaint to company but no response as well from them.

                                        My experience is very horrible with SONY. SONY is not a brand any more. I ask people to not to buy SONY product any more, atleast SONY TELEVISION.

                                        Thank you Guys for your support and i was planning to buy a LCD TV from Sony after reading all the survey given by you about Sony.I am not interested in purchasing Sony products from now on.I am planning to go for a Samsung LCD instead of Sony.And Sony is also cheating the people by using EDGE LED in LCD.Which cost more and useless.So i agree with you guys and not interested to buy the Sony products.

                                        I’m Anand Misra. On 24 April 2010 I bought SONY BRAVIA LCD EX500 from Jumbo electronics, Noida. But now a day’s I’m facing some problems with my LCD. In Jan11 LCD power light has been changed. Now some “tric- tric” types of sound is coming in my LCD and sometimes when we change the channel “Tic” sound comes. I complained regarding this problem to customer care. They send their engineer. But as above I mentioned that the sound not comes frequently. So when engineer visited outhouse that sound doesn’t occurs at that time. So the problem is as it is.
                                        On Friday I had a call from your executive Mr. Sarbjeet. And he asked some questions about the technical problem of my LCD. After asking about the problem he said he would call back to me after an hour. But till now I didn’t have any call from his side. On Monday when I call again to customer care they said they connect me with Mr. Sarbjeet on the same day. But until now, still I’m waiting for his call. So, today again I call in customer care and the feedback was very awful from their side and I’m not satisfied with your responses till the date. Now tell me what is my fault? I think this is the biggest fault of mine to by SONY LCD, Isn’t it?
                                        I had bought this LCD just b’coz of its brand name and if such reputed brand giving me this type of problem then to whom I can trust? My LCD has been opened while in warranty period, which was very unpleasant experience for me. Now I just don’t want to open it again. I just want to replace my LCD with new one as soon as possible or I want my money back, which is the last option you left for me.

                                        I was a brand SONY loyalist & that made me buy a brand new SONY BRAVIA LCD - KLV40NX500 on 29 Jan 2011 for a whopping Rs 60, 000 in New Delhi.

                                        Having grown up in a generation where TVs worked flawlessly for 10-15 yrs, I was just SHOCKED to see the LCD fail in just a matter of 4 months. Yes.. a brand new Sony LCD started to have numerous horizontal and vertical lines with distorted display. The problem became worse & right now the display is totally blurred.

                                        I made a complaint ( No[protected] on 7th July 2011 & the service centre technician visited me today. He took pictures & told me it is most probably the LCD panel issue, and the panel will need to be replaced once Sony India approves of it.

                                        Now my anger and frustation is that how come a brand new LCD that too from the so called premium brand like SONY fail in just 5 months ??? Dont they do any quality checks or what ?

                                        I dont know which way to go next as even though the product is still under warranty, I really dont want to get the LCD repaired.. common its my hard earned moneywhich I had paid to have a trouble free entertainment. And what is the guarantee that the new LCD panel will not fail ?

                                        Sony should replace my LCD with a new one. Can anyone share me Sony's contact numbers or email ids where I can follow this case up. ( But honestly, after reading all the above comments, I have lost faith with them & have prepared myself for the tough road ahead.)

                                        Just wanted to update on my complaint stated above for the benefit of future customers..

                                        The summary of the whole story is :

                                        After inspecting the LCD, I got a call from Sony India & he told me that the LCD needs to be taken to a service centre & its a panel issue. I asked the person as t why the LCD failed & he calmly said that its an electronic thing & we cannot pin point the exact reason - voltage spikes or something. I was adamant to get the LCD replaced, but the guy simply refused to do that. I found him quite rude at this stage. I kept on pressing him but he didnt budge at all. After this i was finally fed up & I agreed o get my panel replaced. But then came another shocker.. there will not be any new warranty on the new part installed. !! I was just surprised. I said its quite obvious that any new part should have an extended warranty of atleast one year. To this Sony technician replied, that the warranty will not be extended it will remain the same .. ie one year from the date of purchase of the LCD.

                                        I totally lost my cool after this. I told him its unethical on part of Sony to do this. But that guy became rude & had a "total not interested attitude". His replies were full of even more sarcasm. "You have used the LCD for 4 months ", "its not a company policy to extend warranty" .."its a n electronic part .. any electronic part can fail ", "i will not give you any numbers or email ids" etc etc. I simply asked him to give me his boss's number or email id, to which he simply refused. Finally I kept the phone down saying .." i dont want to get the LCD repaired".

                                        That evening was really tense one for me. In front of my eyes were my hard earned money gone down the drain ... and i just cudnt believe that Sony India could be so ignorant to a customer. I had so high regards for Sony and its products !! Then i just googled the email id of Sony MD & sent a mail describing all that had happened.

                                        The next day, another person from Sony called me up. He was very polite and courteous. The next 3 days just saw a different level of customer service experience. They extended the warranty & took the LCD & and returned back in flat 2 days time. During this, they kept me informed on the progress. and kept calling me almost twice a day. I was impressed. My faith was regained. Also eventually, it was found at the service center that the panel was perfectly okay & it was a motherboard that had gone faulty. They changed it & rite now the LCD is back with me & is working perfectly fine.

                                        I have also received a letter from Sony India on the extended warranty of the faulty part.

                                        Right now I am happy, but i just pray that Sony India gives this level of customer service to every customer . They should not have been so unrealistic & ignorant to a customer's shock & despair. Nevertheless, I am happy to see things mended by Sony. I like SONY products & hope to remain like that.

                                        I bought Sony LCD tv Sr. no.2377469 model 40NX500 from sony center rohini on 02/02/2011 in Rs 57900.Now after 15 months only there are colour patches in the screen.What is brand means? Why I purchase sony & spend more? However I made a complaint (no. 9925069) on 21/04/2012. 4 days go but no engineer visit us.Is it the after sale service of SONY brand.I think it is an experience which is known to peoples who think to buy LCD in future.

                                        Can you please give me the SONY MD number, I purchased SONY 32BX350 this month, but picture quality is very bad. I don't know why they are not tested before sending item to customer. It is very worst experience with SONY.

                                        We purchased Sony Brevia 46 inch led TV and in few months defect in penal was observed. The service centre people came about 12 days back and took the TV for replacement of the penal. The company refused to replace the TV even if the penal itself is the main part of TV (what else the led TV has except for the frame) . The service centre and customer care people of Sony are so discourteous that they do not even respond to my calls and even do not want to inform as to when i will get back my TV. Its really shameful for a Japanese Co who professes high degree of customer care.
                                        For the knowledge of all I wish to inform a similar story of my wows with Sony products. A sound system purchased from them did not work despite visiting their service centre several times during the entire warranty period and afterwards they refused to repair free of charges as the warranty period was over. I had to approach to Hon'ble. Consumer court and then only the Sony people replaced my defective set with a brand new one even after expiry of warranty period.

                                        I am a loyal customer of Sony .I purchase a 32" LCD TV in June 2009 from a Chennai dealer.The LCD panel was defective in February, 2011 and was replaced. In April 2013, i complained of double images and snowy pictures.The Sony Technician has said the display panel and an IC have to be changed- the estimated cost Rs12000/-Virtually all the major components have failed in about 3 1/2 years.I have been sold either a defective set or even a reconditioned one.The Sony response appallingly poor.I feel cheated and have lost faith in Sony Products and service.
